Where to Pick Up Picnic Food For Chicago’s Parks | Eater Chicago
"Fried seafood is the name of the game at this Bronzeville spot. Folks come for the signature Fishwich and other delights like catfish fillets, fish nuggets, and jumbo shrimp. Dock’s is located west of Burnham Park and the Lakefront Trail." - Sam Nelson
Absolutely beautiful view of the city of Chicago. I highly recommend going to the beach here in June July or August.

It's my favorite place to find peace outside of my home. I love walking and viewing the lakefront and skies.

Beautiful scenery and lake views!! The lake is super blue and white topped waves could be seen! you can also get some good pics of the skyline.
Plenty of separate bike paths that can be used to run and walk along the shore of the lake. There are also places to stop for exercise breaks.
The atmosphere was friendly and many people spoke as they passed.
But…..as we were sitting on the steps a runners dog jumped into the lake after a fish. The runner almost fell in herself before my friend and I helped her get him out.

Nice to go for a walk or some jogging. The only issue is now they have closed off areas up to the walk ways. But not a big deal.

Such a beautiful and peaceful place to go. The water was so clear. I wasn't there but an hour but everyone got along and were friendly.

Lovely small park on the Southside of the city. Pay to park is very affordable and the local community is amazing. Fantastic place to have a jog.

It was nice visiting the lakefront after so many years nice and clean, but as it got later a more rowdy crowd came in.

Locally known as The Promontory Point, or simply "The Point", it is a gem of the city. One of the best kept secrets of the South Side lakefront. A beautiful Vista of the city from the south along with great areas for swimming, lounging, barbecuing, and playing.
