Buzzy cafe serving gourmet, Neapolitan pizzas, inspired Italian plates & cocktails in stylish digs.
"Classic spots like Johnny’s and Sal’s are probably what come to mind first when you think of the pizza scene in Westchester, and they remain beloved. But these days, there are plenty of options for great slices or pies. Burrata in Eastchester has established itself as arguably the best spot for sitting down with a Neapolitan pie that’s the perfect balance of charred crust and chewy dough. In addition to pizza, they have a full Italian menu and a bar. Get the J Sexton pie, which receives a shot of chilled burrata after coming out of the oven, and the agnolotti filled with short rib pasta dish. Service is a bit casual, but the pies come out pretty quickly, and the prices are reasonable by Westchester standards." - mike wasserman

"Burrata is busy at all times for a myriad of reasons, not the least of which is the Chef/owner Chas Anderson's ability to create gorgeous, flavorful food. Even the open-floor design, with windows aplenty and oyster-tinted walls, is fresh and inviting. Thanks to the use of top-shelf ingredients and a wood-burning oven, this is a menu with not-to-miss pizze, along with starters and mains that deliciously blend New York and Italian sensibilities with a modern take on the beloved "red sauce" joint. Veal polpettine with robiolina cheese and tomato sauce is comfort in a bowl, as is the rigatoni enriched by Rohan duck ragù and porcini mushrooms. Of course, their signature Burrata pizza with its heady fragrance of mushrooms, delivers every time." - Michelin Inspector
"This BYOB right off Passyunk Ave has a handful of pastas, some family-style mains like chicken milanese and lamb shank plopped on a mound of pesto risotto, and a dining room that (on a sunny day) gets a ton of natural light coming through their massive windows. When you’re there, make sure you have one or two pastas on the table. With shareable options like their fettuccine tossed with jumbo gulf shrimp and a buttery cream sauce, it’s a great place to spend your birthday with a few glasses of wine." - Candis R. McLean
