Upbeat mobile eatery executing tacos & burritos with homemade salsas, plus other Mexican classics.
"Burrito Express is the greatest thing to happen to a parking lot since the parking lot was first invented. This spot on South Cloverdale in South Park serves Mexican breakfast from 7am-11am, and we’re huge fans. The tortillas are tightly wrapped like a swaddled newborn baby, the eggs have pristine curds without being overcooked or runny, and their salsas have a tremendous acidity-to-spice ratio (try the smoky version). You’re in great hands with anything involving their tangy chorizo, but the best burrito on the truck is their Sauced Pig, complete with pork bits simmered in salsa verde, perfectly-salted creamy pinto beans, tiny fried potato cubes, and the option to add cheese (do it)." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley
"Burrito Express serves the very best breakfast burritos in the city. They’re also the most versatile, with 14 different options on the menu—like poblano and corn with a cheesy cream sauce, or the Pig Pen that features three different meats. And at this South Park trailer, there's a nice morning soundtrack to listen to while you wait, like tortillas being tossed like pizza dough, pans of frying chorizo clanking together, and queso sizzling on a flat top. Order The Sauced Pig burrito “wet"—a grilled pork breakfast burrito smothered in salsa verde, cheese, and sour cream. A fork and knife are necessary for this one, but if you need something handheld, the Don Pancho with bright red chorizo crumbles and molten lava-like refried beans is a winner." - kayla sager riley, gabe guarente, aimee rizzo
