Great and friendly staff and price is fair for the amount of time and fun it is. Great to bring group of friends and have a good time hitting targets Plenty room and open layout allows the feeling of having your own space.

Jake at Bury the Hatchet was awesome! He made the whole experience fun, safe, and way less intimidating than we expected. Great energy, super helpful with tips, and kept the vibe upbeat the entire time. Highly recommend asking for Jake if you go!

We had an incredibly fun staff holiday gathering at Bury the Hatchet…. A spacious and energizing environment where staff made the process easy and super enjoyable. Fantastic beer menu to accompany the axes as well.

Had a great time here celebrating our friends birthday. Jake was our axe master and was so so awesome! He was really great at giving tips. Most of us have never thrown before and by the end were a lot better than when we came in! Thanks Jake!

Did a walking on a Sunday at 5pm. Nothing available till 6 so we had to wait an hr. No big deal there’s a cafe shop two doors down. MAKE RESERVATIONS if you can. The rest was a great experience our Axe master did a great job showing us how to handle and throw our weapons. Beer and snacks on the pricey side. Bring your own! What makes this different than other axe throwing places in Brooklyn is that they have a premium package that upgrades you to various different weapons. 😎Will definitely go back again.

Jake was fantastic. Set up great games, provided excellent coaching and was an all around kick ass guy. Definitely coming back to play again. Great staff all around and really good selection of beers.

Made a reservation for 1 hour here and also was my first time trying out axe throwing. The staff were super helpful and friendly in the whole process and also teaching how to throw the axes. Definitely a thrill and once you get used to it, it doesn't seem as hard to hit the target. Love that this location in Greenpoint is close to the city and also Queens. Definitely recommend checking it out, be sure to book online in advanced.

Our friend reserved a one-hour experience at Bury the Hatchet - Brooklyn for a party of 3. We drove there and was able to find parking very easily. Our reservation was for 8:00pm, but we showed up close to 9:00pm. The staff was kind enough to let us keep our reservation. We signed our waivers which were a google form and were informed to go to lane 3. Inside Bury the Hatchet, there were lanes on both sides each with 2 target boards and each sectioned off by fences. Alexandra was our Axe Master. She first reviewed some safety techniques and gave a training session for about 15 minutes. I had done axe throwing before many years ago so I definitely needed a refresher. She showed me how to hold the axe and how to throw it. I practiced throwing it a few times and then she came back to tell us about our first game. The first game we played was the first person to score 30 points wins, then we played a game where there were 5 balloons on the target board and the player that pops the most balloons win, and the last game we played was the first person to score 21 points win but if you score over 21 points then you go back to 0. We used an iPad to keep score. The iPad screen was also displayed on the TV in our lane. Our Axe Master would explain the game rules, check in periodically to see how we were doing, and inform us how much time we had left. She was friendly. Our friend added on the mystery box option for $20 each. At the end, our Axe Master bought out 6 boxes, which have different coupons such as a t-shirt or a free session, and I had to randomly pick one. I got a glass cup. There is a bar and yard games like giant jenga and connect four inside as well. It was a really fun night and I had a great time with my friends. We each got bullseye a few times. I highly recommend this activity with friends. There are options for also throwing unique and specialty items like knives and ninja stars. We dropped our tip to our axe masters bucket at the end.

Son's 30th was a blast so much better than other axe experiences we have had, the team Member who helped us was fun and very knowledgeable on the great beer selections. We played with more than axes - stars, spears, knives, machetes. Highly suggested.

We truly had a fun time here! I like the games set up for us. They provided us with balloons to pop which was super fun. I'm comparison to hatchet and hop it's much larger. Depending upon when you go/how large your group is, bury the hatchet might be a better choice to have more room for everyone. I just wish they had drinks on tap, not just canned drinks.

Great spot on the area and staff very friendly. Came here on Saturday afternoon with group people relatively cheap for 6 people only 50$ a person. The got a bar inside To have some drinks when throwing as well. They got some Games you could play and various size axes for all types of people. Our attendant was helpful and on par for any questions we had during our Two hour stay. Well worth the visit and I would definitely come back if I am ever in the area. I also saw the have a axe throwing league which was pretty cool to do if I lived closer.

Axe throwing was pretty solid! They help you set up games to play with your friends, which is great for those with a competitive spirit. My partner was also able to try knife throwing for an extra fee. It was definitely more difficult than axe throwing but a great experience. Overall, this place wasn't too crowded. We were able to come in as a walk-in and get set up right away.

Alex was so helpful! Extremely fun and had fun games. Went for a joint birthday party. Didn't get the hang of it by the end but still had a blast. Would come back for sure. Great group activity

Great date night vibes! I visited on a Sunday evening. Reservation was for 6 and everything started precisely at 6. They have a small bar area offering beer, hard seltzer's, water, soda and snacks. Each lane has an instructor... he was super cool, giving tips and tricks but also making sure we were staying safe. Your ticket includes one hour of axe throwing. Time goes by fast once you get the hang of it. Trophy's can also be purchased for the winner! Such a fun time.

We went for a date night on a Friday. They had great music going on as you begin to play. There is a bar available. While the picture shows a straight shot, I will say it is harder than it seems. I was not as good as my partner, but at least I hit the bulls eye once. The assigned staff to you will show you different methods of throwing the axe to nest accommodate your needs and also introduce different games to play. It was a great summer night activity

This place was awesome. We went there to celebrate my boyfriend birthday with a group of 9 people and we had a blast. Debbie and Heidi were very helpful answering my questions and helping make the reservation. They answer the email on a timely matter. Once we arrived to the location Ashley was our instructor and she was awesome. Very nice and helpful. It was our first time there and I would definitely go back. Ashley explain to us safety guidelines and the game she came up with made the experience even better.

I've been here twice now since I had so much fun the first time. The first time I came, I remembered it seeming intimidating at first, but once my instructor, Ashley, showed us how to throw it was surprisingly easy. The games they set up for us to play definitely made it more interesting than if we were only throwing for the bullseye every time for the whole session.

After several insane weeks at work, I desperately needed a stress reliever and I had been dying to try axe throwing at some point. Perfect motivator! I impulsively booked a 5:45 spot and jumped on the G train. Our axe master, Ray, was wonderful - personable, attentive and helpful. He also set us up with a few little games that made it even more competitive and fun. Once I got over (...or rather, lessened) the fear of the axe flying back at me, I was able to really focus and have fun. If you've ever been curious to try axe throwing, I definitely recommend this place! Shout out to them for having NA Clausthaler available :)

The staff is f*ckin AWESOME. the Bae keep intentionally chooses the beers he thinks people would like, and the axe masters will show you as best they can how to use any weapon. Love being here

I did not expect to like ace throwing as much as I did! We came here this past weekend around the time it opens, so it was not packed at all - So we got some extra time in as well. They started off with master Danny giving us a run down of how to throw the axe and how to keep safe! Then they switched up a bunch of different games for us to play, like black jack and popping some balloons which added so much variety to the activity! I'm glad we just booked it for an hour because by the end of the hour, I was pretty tired

First time axe throwing, won't be my last. When we walked in Tara at the front desk was very welcoming and explained everything we needed to know about the location. Lucas was our instructor. He was perfect. He was brief and concise as he explained safety rules and axe throwing techniques. In minutes after arriving we were throwing real axes! As far as group activities this is far better than bowling or playing pool. There are different competitive games you can play within throwing the axes; so it never gets boring. The 90 minute session went too fast. Suggestion eat before you visit or bring your own food in or have it delivered. They sell chips and soda. Water is free. They are in the process of getting a liquor license. Great time! Can't wait to throw some more axes!

Fun experience axe throwing this past weekend. Our axe master, Eddie, was great in giving us tips as to how to throw better and showed us some "trick" shots. He showed us some games to play like Battleship and Blackjack which were fun. It was $50 for 2 hours which is one of the cheaper options and the drinks were priced well. They have a good selection of craft beers. Definitely a fun group activity or even for a date.

Ashley helped us out for an awesome impromptu date night. She was patient, professional , & extremely interactive. She easily explained the safety protocols & games. She took her time to make sure our joy was top priority. I love bury the Hatchet Brooklyn & the attentive employees like Ashley! Thanks for making date night a memorable one!

Alexandria was such an amazing trainer. Much different than anything we have every tried. A bored night with company turned into a fun night burying the hatchet. Workout and a half if I may say so. The games they add to the axe throwing makes it more fun!!

Team outing on Wednesday night after work. Lots of fun. Well run and we catered in. You never know how well, or how terribly, you try to throw an axe. Instruction made it easy for any level, from Paul Bunyan, to the noob off the street.

came here with my boyfriend and we had a good time! matt, our axe master, was really helpful and gave us tips to help us throw better. because it was 12 pm on a monday we were the only people so that was nice. we enjoyed the games that matt set up for us to play and we'll probably be back again, to try out the throwing knives and cards and other cool stuff!

One of the worst places I've ever been in New York City. Horrible music, rude staff, flat beer, just everything you can imagine not enjoying about a bar wrapped up in to one awful place. There's better, safer places to throw axes in Brooklyn, don't waste your time.

Had a fun evening becoming an expert axe thrower. Bury the Hatchet is a fun, physical activity to do with a group of friends or on a date. You have someone that teaches you how to throw and tries to coach you through your failed missteps. Great music, they have snacks to buy. Everyone is very friendly and funny. I felt welcomed

Me and friends stopped by yesterday evening for some ax throwing. Having never done it before, we wasn't sure what to expect. Well, what we got was a night of laughs and fun. It all started with our check in at the front desk, then the vibe carried through to our Ax Master, Amanda. Amanda is a vibe. Funny, friendly, and a great teacher! She managed to reign all of us in with our shenanigans and made our time there even better. The overall staff was friendly. The vibe was laid back. But most of all, we had so much fun! Highly recommend if you are looking for something different to do on a Saturday night (or any time for that matter).

Came here with my beer club (we drank afterwards since they don't have a liquor license yet) and had a really fun time. This is my second BTH experience, the first being in NJ. I got a Groupon to bring my group here and it was fairly reasonable. Our Axe Master, Lucas, was funny and pretty helpful, and even though he didn't give as much instruction as the guy at the other location, I had many more successful throws at this place. There were 10 of us on a lane and we all got to throw plenty of times. I will say that the 90 minute session was more like an hour and 15 minutes. The other location I went to we got a full two hours so I felt a little disappointed to get roughly 80 minutes here, but I still had a lot of fun and was about done with throwing hatchets anyway. Would definitely recommend this for a fun group outing.

The hype lives up especially for these types of establishments. Axes, liquor, Food, and new friends. What's not to love about great places like this. Down near the water, amazing views of lower Manhattan are the perfect back drop. More info to come but I can tell this will already be a five star establishment due to the amount of customer service received during my short communication with the amazing staff!

Came for a work hangout. Jake taught us how to throw and worked with everyone on technique. He was very patient, nice and encouraging. We all had fun!

This was my 3rd time ax throwing but my first time to Bury the Hatchet. Making the reservations online was very easy. Note, the weekday reservations are cheaper than on the weekends. I went in the middle of the week and it wasn't crowded at all. We were set up in our own lane and given light instructions on how to throw. The staff will come by periodically and give tips and setup games for us to play. At another place I went to a staff member stays with you the entire time and the lane is mixed with other people so this was a bit different. Bury the Hatchet had a rustic feel to it. I enjoyed my experience and I the games were unique. Also, the time I spent actually throwing the ax was maximized.

Danny was awesome! We had so much fun. Would recommend this to anyone. The experience was fun, they gave me everyone a run bye course for the the safety and everything.

Really fun experience! We got the 1hr experience for 4 people, but would go for the 1.5hrs next time. Jake split his time between us and another time, and he was fantastic. Highly recommend this fun experience! No need to have prior experience or be athletic.

SUPER FUN & A GREAT WORKOUT! My cousin introduced me to this spot. I always wanted to go but never really got around to it. I love the energy inside and the 90s/2000s hits music had be singing along. Great for a group or just a date. You can order food to the spot. Staff is super friendly and relaxed.

Came here after giving a gift certificate to my husband for Christmas. The process of redeeming the gift certificate was easy, and getting set up to play was quick. Shout out to Danny who made it a fun experience!

I bought my tickets on Groupon and came here to celebrate my birthday. I was absolutely terrified and considered not doing it, but I'm happy I did. The instructors teach you how to properly throw the axe and take safety very seriously. They are also conscious of everyone's unique circumstances and show you how to modify the movements if needed. We played two different games. One required you to hit all the balloons on the board and the other game's winner was determined by who could reach 75 points first. I had a lot of fun and kind of want to do it again...?!

Absolutely loved Bury the Hatchet at Brooklyn, NY. Our AXE Master Danny was the MAN!!! A true gentleman and one great teacher on me and my date's first time axe throwing. At first it was challenging but Danny's simple yet concise instructions led to me beating my date 4x in a row! My girlfriend and friends threw me a surprise birthday party here last weekend, and it was so much fun! None of us had ever gone axe throwing, but Jake, our axe master, was a great teacher and made the whole experience more enjoyable. I liked that we could bring our own food, and there's a bar onsite as well. I definitely recommend Bury the Hatchet for a fun night out. If it's your first time axe throwing, you're in good hands. And I would definitely come back again!

Came here to celebrate my friends birthday on a Saturday. I had bought a Groupon for a group of 10, but we were only 8 people. They do recommend to have exactly the number of people you paid for, since they don't refund the amount. But you are definitely able to book for fewer guests if it so happens. They do charge a booking fee online/over the phone, depending on how you try to reserve a time slot and day. For a group of 10 they charged $30 on top of admission per person. Btw, we chose the 90 minutes session, but they do have 60 minutes as well. Each party has their own lane, so there's no mixing of groups. I remember the first time I was here(back in Jan 2019), we were a group of 8, we had to share the area with another group. They separate the throwing area with a standing table/cubby (we were able to stash away our bags underneath) so noone would get hurt. There's also hand sanitizer, a tip bin, and our axe master's name tag on the table. (We had Persephone, I hope I spelled it right) She was amazing. All the axe master's were very good and nice to us. After we had played 3 different games, we had about 10 minutes left over and we're just messing around. We had seen one of the axe master's throw an axe using underhand, so we wanted to give it a try. The axe master from the lane next to us was so kind and instructed us how to throw the axe. He even demonstrated and instructed how to throw double axes at the same time. It was pretty cool. Sorry we never got his name! Overall really fun experience for us all. We would definitely come back again.

This place is so much fun! The staff was really nice and offered competitive games for us as we played. They lost a star for affordability. I had to pay for 4 people even though there was only 2 of us. We had the lane to ourselves but the company makes the consumer eat the additional cost for not being able to share the lane with people who are not in your party. I guess safety first but that price was steep. It was about $170 for 90 minutes. Fun times but grab a group if you're headed here to make the price more sensible.
