This is an awful establishment. If you are a female/queer person do not go here. The owner John is always there harassing any woman that goes in. Buying younger women drinks to get them to talk to him. He goes behind the bar and starts “working” so he can use his power as an Owner to creep on girls and force them into interacting with him. It’s disgusting behavior. Multitudes of women have had complaints about him doing this. Female bartenders who have worked there have had said it makes them and the person on the opposite side extremely uncomfortable. This kind of behavior should NOT be allowed to continue. No one should use their power to take advantage of anyone. SHUT IT DOWN.

The great Dionysus himself, placed his red wine warm finger on the land off of Grand Avenue that would become The Bushwick Country Club. An LO! The great unwashed masses sang his praises and sacrificed holy bulls in his honor and named their young in favor of John Roberts and his holy gift of the banana daiquiris. Both frozen, and cocktail. Let it be known among our contemporaries and echo throughout time down to our distant descendants, HERE LIE BANANA DAIQUIRIS! And they were good!

Contrary to the review by "Thodor Ellie" Bushwick Country Club is NOT closed! It moved locations and was not operational for a couple of months but IT'S BACK and on the same block as always, just a few doors down. It looks almost exactly the same and the owner is the same as well. He even said they'll have the mini golf course up and running very soon! BCC is an institution. Here's to it being open another couple of decades!

Swung through here on a Sunday afternoon. The slushies were delicious, they had a whiskey coke and a fruitier one. They were honoring a happy hour on beer even on the weekend which was nice. 2 for 1 beers. Backyard space is OK. If you want to play some mini golf just leave your ID with the bartender. It's got some good character. Backyard is dog friendly.

Obsessed with this place! Supposedly the pickleback was invented here. Frozen drinks are super yummy, prices are fair and the vibe is all around great! The bartenders are nice!

Really fun dive bar. The inventor of the pickleback. Mini golf is free and fun, but don't expect anything fancy. The seats are very hit or miss, as they're all mixed vintage.

Literally a classic dive at this point, If you haven't been to Bushwich Country Club (BCC*), let me tell you why you're going to enjoy becoming a member........spoiler, it's for one of a few, select reasons, none of which are country-club-esque: *You like dive bars *You enjoy dirty mini-golf courses** *You like connect four/board games *You have friends who like connect four, almost too much *Photo booths are your thing *You really really really like cheap alcohol *You enjoy the company of good bartenders *Did I mention the cheap alcohol yet? Yeah, the booze is cheap. This place is as no-frills as they come, and I have very much enjoyed myself at the bar over the years. Come for the beer and shot special, stay...well mostly because of the beer and shot special, but also because the bartends are always super chill. _______ *Yes I did, no I don't care **No offense to the groundskeeper, but there are more than a few divots on the back nine.

I think I've been meaning to come here for the better part of a decade. Shows how long this place and myself have stuck around. But I never really had an excuse to go or none of my friends really ever willingly want to go into East Williamsburg for drinks. So someone I knew's birthday was being hosted here this week and this was my chance. After waiting an ungodly amount of time for the L train I was greeted with $4 tallboys of pbr (they have other drinks but this was my poison after downing margaritas for two and a half hours beforehand) and free cheezy poofs I will say the spot has a certain amount of charm. The backyard is a ramshackle set up of put put golf made out of statues constructed of shoddy pbr cans, creepy sculptures and gives off that redneck chic vibe. One weird thing did happen - someone spilled half my beer on a table. The drink continued to spillage over onto myself and the floor so we asked for napkins. The staff very begrudgingly asked if the napkins were for 'your face' or something else. . . . . so a no napkin bar. After we insisted that there was kind of a mess all over the table and floor they finally acquiesced with giving us a dish rag. I'm aware I'm getting what I paid for. They do have a happy hour believe it or not - 2 for 1 drinks before what was either 7 or 8pm on weekdays but I mean . . . . everything is pretty cheap here any time of the day/night. I kind of like it for what it is but the people in here are kind of young and it feels almost over-whelming after a bit. Oh, and they have a photobooth which is where they make their money - FIVE DOLLARS for a singular photo print. WHoooey.

Bushwick Country Club is a place that has upper echelon feel. The garland, the web, the New Years vibe all year around, the bartender that pours the perfect pour. What more could you possibly want? Everyone is a regular, everyone gets the same strong pours, and everyone has a great time under the bartender @megleethompson . Fuck off, leave me alone, and have a bad time if you don't like good vibes, beer + shot combs and - wait dare I say it - a good time. This bar is where you want to go. This bar slaps.

The Bushwick Country Club is not in Bushwick and is not a Country Club. I Know....Confusing! The happy hour is 2 for one and it's a doozy!~Dino Toy Reminders with first drink. They are not your free toy. They are for the second drink. It is a total dive bar in the black heart of East Williamsburg. I like coming to this watering hole when I wanna change things up and don't want to spend too much dough. This place also has a patio that can fit a good amount of people and "mini golf". I've never played mini golf here but that's not to say that people haven't attempted. There's some definite characters in this joint. People might try to start a verbal brawl. But just ignore the riff raff come with friends and get sloppy. You might not feel the best the next morning but you can put all the pieces together with your friends I mentioned to bring....important. There's no food here...unless your dinner could be a giant pickle and a bag a chips then yes, there is food. And cheezzzeee puffs! Nomonomnom For food and further libations you will have to go a couple doors down to their sister bar, the Starlight!

Perhaps this place should be called Bushwick Public Library. I said this because you can't be loud and you can't talk politics. A friend and I were having a conversation about the upcoming disaster of an election. According to another patron (who I later found out worked there), we were too loud. Rather than the bartender coming to us to tell us about our conversation (like an adult), she yelled at us from the other side of the bar to tone it down. It is a bar for christ's sake! This is my thing: 1. If people are "too loud" then it should be the bartender, not her coworker who was not working, to ask the patrons to tone it down. 2. The patron (the bartender's coworker) said that some people want a quiet night. If that is the case THEN STAY HOME AND NOT GO TO A DIVE. Could it be that she wanted free drinks from her friend who was working the bar? 3. I wonder how many skinny, loud white girls are told that they are "too loud"? 4. Next time, if there is one, I guess we will debate about Keeping up with the Kardashians. So go here for free cheese puffs and silence. *eye roll*

A dive bar at it's best! Bushwick Country club located in "East Williamsburg", is what a dive bar should be. Yes it's rundown a bit but they use charm and cheap thrills to get you in here. Well it works. 2 for 1 happy hour keeps me staying longer. Not because of the deal but rather because I get drunk and forget all of my responsibilities. What do they give you to cash in your second drink? A toy dinosaur! Fuck drinking I'm just gonna start playing with my velociraptor. They have free cheese doodles. If they were white cheddar I might be willing to live here. They have a cool photo booth and mini golf. Pretty unique. What's that above the bar, is that a Dharma Initiative beer? Yes it is. Mini connect 4? Time to show off. Geeky, inexpensive and fun. My kind of place.

Got picked me up and we drove out to Williamsburg to meet our party. First time meeting everyone and glad they're all down to earth. Parking was surprisingly a breeze or maybe we just got lucky. I'm a bit stumped trying to categorize this place. Very dark and poorly lit. The right side hosts a long wooden bar with shelves of liquor and books on the side. Yes, like library books. A few chalk boards with their specials written on them and witty memes displayed behind the counter. Kinda divey if you ask me. The left side has about 6 tables and 2 booths along the exposed brick wall. Red back splash in the back and a few artsy paintings hanging around. A bit hipsterish. For some reason, I think both sides really compliment each other. Oh, and if you ask your bartender nicely, you get free cheesy poofs. Yum, reminded me of my childhood days. Definitely will be back to give it another round.

I like this place: a laid back dive with some character. Just have a look at the walls, with the dreadful paintings, some taxidermy of dubious taste, a plastic Santa&Mrs Santa diptych. Or the photoboot, and the wall of photoboot pictures in front of it. Or the nice outdoor "patio" with a 7 hole golf course. I also love the name (I wonder whether this place is somewhat related to the Gowanus Yact Club...). They have one of my favorite beers on tap (Harpoon), and every week there are drink specials. Also, the 2-for-1 happy hour is pretty sweet.

Came here for the first time a couple nights ago. Classic dive bar. Really friendly group of people drinking out back. Probably make this my new drinking spot. Very unpretentious and cheap drinks. Nice people and good service. Best dive I've found in this neighborhood. The bartender actually bought me several shots which is pretty uncommon these days. I think at the end of the night my tab was around $50 so I'm guessing he cut me a deal. Nice people, good neighborhood bar.

What a fun, cheap mess! The "Country Club" part is definitely ironic. My friend dragged me to Bushwick Country Club on a Sunday night during my visit to NYC, and I had a blast! The place was dead being a Sunday and all, but we had fun chatting with the bartender and chilling on the couch. The drinks were cheap, and the bartender was very friendly - we had all his attention, so my experience may be a little biased. Overall, a fun place to hang out with friends without breaking the bank.

My favorite shitty dive bar in Brooklyn. This place is falling apart but in the best way. That might not make sense unless you experience this place for yourself. The seats are held together with tape...there's tagging in the bathroom and walls but that's apart of their charm. The drinks are cheap. For 5$ you get 2 beers on tap during happy hours AND you can bring your dog in!! They have an outdoor area that looks like at one point it could have entertained you with a fun drunk hit of mini golf...but now its just a great trash obstacle course for your pup. I love you BCC. ** There's also a photo booth!!

It's 2:30am and I'm listening to Slipknot and having picklebacks while looking behind the bar where you can apparently purchase a pregnancy kit. Outstanding.

Great dive bar. Awesome bartender John holding down the fort. One man show and he did an incredible job. Came here for my friend's 31st birthday and we had a great time. Those pickle back shots... now I'm hooked.

BCC is open late, has bottles of Delirium Tremens and employs friendly bartenders. There's lots of seating at the bar, and even more out back. My only complaint was the Jack'n'Coke slushies were a bit weak. However, I was really drunk at that point, so maybe they weren't. I met my first, real-life freemason here, too.

I met up with friends after spending my afternoon at a Long Island City Bar where two drinks were $18 and a pitcher was $25. This bar is great! The bartender was quick, there were places to sit, they have a photo booth, and the drinks were well priced.

4.5 stars... I've always passed this place on a Saturday where the crowd spills onto the sidewalk outside and avoided the hecticness of it all. I had no idea what I was missing. I came here at 7 on a Wednesday and got to experience the place without all the people. First of all it's buy one get one drafts until 8pm, that's really one of the best happy hours I've ever come across, especially as their drafts are $4-5. The selection is limited but the choices are unique, aside from Yuengling I hadn't had any of the others before. Unlike other 2 for 1 specials where they give you a little red ticket or something, BCC gives you a little plastic dinosaur, definitely a cute touch. There's a lot of nice touches here. The mini games of connect four, the free cheesy puffs, the $3 photo booth, the few cushioned booths, the backyard, and the mini golf. Yeah I said mini golf but don't get your hopes up. It's 6 of the worst holes in mini golf history using the worst improvisational equipment imaginable. It's horrible and I loved every bit of it. It's laughably ghetto. At least one of the holes is almost impossible to play between the debris on the course and the lightness of the plastic golf ball. Don't come here thinking "ooo a bar with mini golf" but if you're drunk and wanna laugh, have at it. There's almost nothing to dislike about this place as long as you can appreciate a good dive.

I mean, this place is a complete piece of sh*t. Let's be honest. That being said, it's still a great bar. Cheap drinks, crappy decor, shoddy mini golf, nasty bathroom, shady characters... it's what all dive bars strive to be. Bartenders are cool and will pour you a dozen spicy picklebacks without flinching. Not sure why, but some bars are too cool for the 'backs these days (yet they'll serve Jager). Anyway, you get the point here. No frills. Bring $20 and spend the afternoon getting wasted. There are worse places to be. Apologies: we dropped a few mini-Connect 4 pieces on the floor and couldn't find them. My bad.

Interesting bar in Brooklyn. Very dive-y. The bartender wasn't so nice, but the drinks were reasonably priced. Parking is on street. I didn't do the mini-golf but it sounds cool. Photobooth in the back. Was there on a Saturday night and it wasn't too crazy. Gets Loud but there are tables to sit at around the perimeter, in the front, and then bar seating of course. I think the most interesting part of this bar (and im not sure if this is common in the city but) in terms of food they have a accordion of menus of local restaurants. You call these places and then they deliver food to you. So strange to me but I guess it works!

I rented my giant games , giant connect 4 and giant jenga for an event held here. Great place , great staff and a fun place

Back in aught six when I the two women I lived with dragged me here for the first time, it was for 11-Ball, photo-booth clown-car-ing & boozing. The reasons I've patronized this fine establishment since have ranged from the need to practice my putting, the desire to sample berkshire pork ribs, and the craving for several "super-sizes" (shot of old crow + tall boy of PBR - $5), to wanting an unpretentious place to drink with a knowledgeable friendly staff, and more (mostly more photo-booth clown-car-ing). Surly though she may be (see below), M has always - in my experience - been a great bartender, perhaps because I make a habit of the common courtesy of tipping; to say nothing of her never being (oh horror of horrors) dull! I have also become cordially friendly with many of the other employees of this princely libation purveyor, all of whom have revealed themselves to be extremely likable and fascinating individuals. Beyond these irrefutable ratifications I love the BCC for: the wonderful music selection (ranging from T.I. to Joy Division to LCD Soundsystem), and teaching me (1) the art of properly parting hair, (2) how to improve on the standard recipe for a Manhattan (a Brooklyn?), and (3) how to gracefully rock a head-dress on thanksgiving night (be a tiny bit Chocktaw).

Dive bar for real-y'all!! First off, they give you free Cheesy-poofs when you order a drink. Second, the photo-booth takes about 1 hour to spit out your photo, so take the picture early and wait! Second, the bartender pours heavy (that's a good thing) and pours heavier with a nice tip (Very good thing)! And Second, on a blazing hot, early summer day, post cataclysmic down-pour, the two for one well-happy hour until 8pm VERY VERY GOOD!!!!!!! Second.....dang....those drinks were strong.... The kitsch on the wall is fun and the little plastic dinosaur they give you to redeem for your second drink is even funner. How fast we devolve into two year-olds when tipsy and sporting a tiny dino-toy!!! Weeeeeeeeeee hickup!

Came here on a Sunday and the crowd seemed to be almost all regulars that were having a rowdy little Sunday. Mostly friendly patrons, standoffish but quick bartenders, and quirky decor. Really great dive bar.

This bar is funny for about 10 minutes ("Haha look at the janky mini golf course in the back") to just boring after a while. This bar is trying really hard to mix different flavors and styles (turf covering the benches outdoors, old school desks from middle school as the tables). Some of my friends love this place (and reader, you may enjoy it), but it wasn't for me. If you're looking for good drinks and outdoor fun, head to Good Co which is so much better.

Why is it that the visitors of this area of Williamsburg always end up here? Is it the name? Why do they drink so little, and talk so much? Why is this bar different from any other dive? The mini golf? This review is a review of my out of town friends, I've just realized. Three stars.

It just feels wrong to give any establishment called "Bushwick Country Club" less than three stars, because: it's called Bushwick County Club. And it's a dive bar with a very dingy mini-golf setup in the back, near Bushwick, Brooklyn. It's so ironic that it's not even hipster. It's just ironic and hilarious. Draft list is OK. Bartenders are pretty chill. It's not douchey, which in Williamsburg is refreshing. Pro-tips for maximum enjoyment: ask for free cheesy poofs. Eat ahead of time if you're hungry-- no food here. The free drinks on your birthday thing needs to be arranged ahead of time by e-mailing the bar, and you need to have at least 10 friendos joining you to be eligible. The bartender hinted that they don't even check if it's actually your birthday, so if you were able to arrange a "hey everyone buy me drinks on such-and-such a night because I accomplished X" at some random point in the year...that's fine.

The fact that they kick out drunken monsters like Betu R. is all the reason you need to keep coming back again and again. The bartenders are on point, protecting your fragile relationships from the irresitable charms of gorgeous succubi like her. If they hadn't shown her the door, her beauty might have destroyed every relationship in a three-mile radius! Only BCC stands between you and marital ruin. They also have free cheese puffs.

The put put is defunct! I've never seen a more depressing sight. Leaves, garbage strewn about. I half expected a tumbleweed to roll by the pbr windmill. This place is pretty laid back, inexpensive beer, a great happy hour deal (2 for 1 tap beers), and in the ladies room...11 toilet paper roll holders! Genius! As soon as I saw them I thought "this is the best idea ever", and relished the experience. I don't really see myself coming here in the evenings, but if I did I'm sure I'd appreciate the abundance of toilet paper. Toilet paper free bathrooms make me want to claw my eyes out. Thank you, Bushwick Country Club. You care. Or pretend to.

I don't know much about good ole BCC except that I stumbled in with Ethan C. and Brian B. for a nightcap when I really shouldn't have been having a nightcap since the previous stops had taken their toll. But it's ok. I worked off the booze by exercisin'. That's right, I know that I played a round of mini-golf in the back. Now this is my kind of clubbin' - intoxicated and playing golf on the biggest piece of shite course I've ever seen. I don't know who won, but I'm willing to venture it was me because loads of people tell me I look like Tiger Woods. Obviously his skills transfer over as a result? With PBR tallboys guiding our strokes, the boys and I made quick work of the golf course, milled around the nice-sized back patio and then ventured back inside the Club, an ironically dive-y place. Like an oasis in the desert, the photobooth materialized. One lonely, tiny stool awaited. It needed hot-blooded rumps on it. It was time. We went on in and drew the red curtain, much to the dismay of the inquiring masses. What ensued was the notorious "3 men, 1 photobooth" incident (also known as the "Ménage à Tromance") - a dirty delight and definitely NSFW. BCC - I'm considering applying for membership.

...and it's not even in Bushwick. That's right, it's not the best of both worlds. It's in WILLIAMSBURG. Ha! Exposed! You're just a hipster like the rest of them; this time clothed in black and a sideways cap, denying the aim. Still too cool for school and still weak from the Midwest. I once frequented for 4 weeks. I thought this was what Bushwick had to offer. It's not. Or, it is. Either way, I choose another venue. For now, I choose Legion. Tenfold.

Backyard: check. Photobooth: check. Pickle shots: check. Boardgames: check. Big Safari Hunter machine: check. Homemade mini putt-putt course: check. Bottomless bowls of cheese puffs: check. Surly looking but soft on the inside bartender: check. Bourbon and Coke slurpie machine: check (and double check). A spot in the backyard for where I should be buried: TBD.....................

New favorite bar? Um, yes.... That didn't take me long. I really could just end this review here: these cats invented the pickle back. Sure, there are plenty of debates that other rathskellers were right at the starting gun when the craze swept the city, but from burning the midnight oil and digging deep into the conclaves of sinful indulgence, it's been confirmed. Sauld! Whiskey and lacto-fermentation aside, this place is right up my alley. It's big, it's brimming with hipsters (I gave into my hipster tendencies months ago), and it has a super shitty, yet remarkable putt-putt course in the back of the bar (hence the County Club moniker). It's only four letters off of the namesake golf course in Caddyshack (Bushwood), and me thinks Chevy Chase, Rodney Dangerfield, and Bill Murray would have had a much better time causing a ruckus here than at that perfectly manicured bowling green. I half expected to be greeted by a life size gopher. I guess it's still possible to encounter this fantasy on future visits. Oh, and they have Fernet. The only thing that could make Bushwick Country Club better would be a narwhal aquarium or a miniature reindeer petting zoo off of the 5th hole. Perhaps I'll talk to the BCC brass and see what we can't pull off...

This is about to be hilarious. Came here with a few friends on a weekend night. It wasn't too busy, but the crowd was a bit dicey. The frozen drinks are worth it - sweet and strong. However, the service is anything but. We were next to a table of empty PBR cans, which is a beer not sold there. As a bartender, I agree it's obnoxious, egregious and generally cheap when people bring in their own booze. But if you're going to accuse me of being the guilty party, at least catch me in the act. In response to this bartender's aggressive error, my boyfriend neglected to tip her on his next round. (In my opinion, there are very few occasions when not tipping is acceptable. This is one of them.) Less than a minute later, we hear a gong, which apparently identifies a no-tipper. Look, maybe she was having a rough night, but bitch, if you're going to bang a gong over one dollar, you belong in a tourist trap where auto-grat is automatic. See ya.

This is a pretty good neighborhood bar. Highlights are the photo booth, kitschy mini golf course (although I have never actually "played a game of mini golf" here), beer-and-shot deals, and frozen smoothie cocktails. The seating isn't great and there isn't much of a beer selection to speak of, but it's more a place to go for that old Grand Street atmosphere than a drinking destination. Seating outside is semi-functional lawn furniture, but comfort is hardly the point.

What could be better than a 711 Coke slushie / Burger King frozen Coke? Spiking one with Jim Beam Bourbon, serving it in a mug that looks like the one Homer drinks his Duff beer out of at Moe's, and offering it on the cheap. Still better: an easy-to-operate, old-fashioned photo booth and mini golf.

The Country Club is a pretty chill spot. As a result, even when it is crowded, it is never PACKED. They have a great jukebox, and an oldschool black-and-white photo-booth. (Always fun!) The bartenders are wonderfully friendly. They have a "club card" that gives benefits and discounts to its members. ALSO, there is outdoor seating and mini-golf in the back yard! And an Elvis tapestry on the wall. Overall, a fun place to be! If you're in the Williamsburg area, and looking for a place to have a birthday party, this place is awesome! The "birthday person" drinks free all night if he/she brings at least 15 friends. This is the way bars should be, because if you start frequenting the Country Club, the bartenders will recognize you, know your favorite drinks, etc. Awesome -- one of my favorite hangouts. I miss it now that I don't live around the corner!

This is a pretty fun dive bar. We were the first ones in when they opened at 5pm - not in purpose, just didn't realize we were so on time for opening. Two for one drinks - you get a little plastic Dino to save for your free one. Nobody else was there besides us when an obvious friend of the bartender came in. They chatted at the end of the bar the entire time we were there - not that we minded. I lost my Dino amongst the leaves that covered the patio and was searching for it out there (and inside as well) for about 15 mins before the bartender told me it was fine. She didn't seem to believe I'd lost it..? Maybe that's just the vibe I got. I'd definitely only had one drink so it was silly to make such a big deal out of it, but whatever. Side note: I eventually found said Dino right before we left, phew!!! A great happy hour deal, fun and divey atmosphere, and decent service. I'd come back later in the evening to see what sorts of folk hang here when it's busy. PS - The golf course they advertise isn't really playable - but I'm sure it'd be fun while really drunk and that it's all part of the dive bar irony, yeah?

Shitty couches and chairs? Check. TV playing ironic 80s flicks? Check. Never ending basket of cheese balls? Check. Bathroom that smells of rotten pee? Check. Shot of whiskey and tall boy deal? Check. Add shot of pickle juice for only $1? Done. All this and a mini golf course to boot (with PBR windmill)! Of course, your ball will get stuck in one of the contraptions resulting in you getting down on all fours in front of your friends and/or potential lover. What more do you have to ask for from a dive bar?? *Made out with a dude in the foul smelling bathroom here. Bartender finger wagged at me. This is when I first fell in love with BCC.

Terrible bartenders. If you're easy going and maybe cute just don't go there. They will kick you out with the excuse you don't work there just because the bartenders are afraid you're gonna take their guys. Unacceptable service. Not welcoming at all. They are open late but only if your not threatening. It was 3am. Still one more hour till close according to your stats. I wish the owner addressed how they just give away drinks to the guys they want to spend the night with. Gross. The bathrooms were filthy too. I'm new in the neighborhood and definitely not coming back. Was there Sunday through Monday August 22nd.

Fernet pickle backs. Don't blame the bartender. It was our idea. Just before that were traditional pickle backs. Now, I'm proud: not of myself but of my compadres who could handle such a thing. Now, back to that compadre... who unintentionally duped us into thinking this was an actual country club. Maybe it's just because we didn't ask questions other than: do we wear white or something? Alas, a guy from Long Island who almost burnt the building down on the grill and a PBR windmill. A fairly good duping, intentional or not. Large round leather booths, a back yard patio, and a kind bartender with drinks on the cheap, I don't see how this is the shit hole people at the party prior said it would be (shit hole usage in honor of said compadre, aka Rusty Toaster). Despite the idea of chasing it with pickle juice, they have Fernet, don't fuck it up, order it straight like San Francisco told you to.

The backyard is where it's AT on Sunday afternoons. You kind of feel like you're at someone's party. Everyone was drunk-ass. There were cute boys slutting themselves out for the free pulled pork sandwiches they were making. Great music. And they just put in a machine so they can make Jack and Coke slushies. Jack and Coke slushies?!? How awesome it that??? I think I found my new neighborhood bar.

A great, friendly neighborhood bar with top quality beer selection and friendly non-pretentious atmosphere. The place where you want to go with a chill night with your friends.

I wanted to hate you Bushwick Country Club, I really did. But then you had to go and do something sweet like make a mini golf course. Sure it's completely unplayable, but most things are when you've consumed that much alcohol. Oh you, Johnny Come Lately, the new kid in town. Everybody loves you.

Bushwick Country Club is by far one of my favorite Williamsburg bars. But, unlike the horrendous, and horrendously trendy Union Pool, the place lacks pretention. The crowd is older, and as far as my experience goes, WAY friendlier. Everybody has manners, and it's groups of friends hanging, not a bunch of out of towners or rich kids from Omaha that moved to Brooklyn 6 months ago trying to get laid and "be seen". The bartenders are friendly enough, however I'm not one looking to become best friends with my bartender. This isn't Cheers, a fact I think lost on the negative reviewers. I mean seriously, if you're looking for a place to just hang out, this is it. Oh, and they have a backyard where you can smoke, so you don't have to chug your drink because your lungs are screaming at you. One star off because every time I go (which unfortunately isn't often anymore) the photobooth is broken! ps: If you come to celebrate an event (birthday, anniversary, firing/hiring, etc) with 15 or more people, you drink free!

Was there last night with some good friends, good times, very neighborhood feel, hot crowd (and cute bartenders). BCC's got a nice and kitchy feel, with the mandatory 70s lunch boxes and action figures to prove it. The big draw, although not so much yesterday, is the makeshift mini-golf course out back, there's a windmill made out of flattened PBR cans. Oh, they also have a photobooth to capture any and all lowbrow debauchery! Too many shots later, we went back to my friend's loft and actually made our own golf course, but that's another story.

No reason not to like this bar. They have Bushmills, which I prefer to Jameson, free cheese curls, nudey touch screen, outdoor seating, heavy pours... The only reason it doesn't get full five stars is because my ex-boyfriend claimed it after we broke up. You are sure to find him there. Just yell out 'Hey Mac want a pickle-back shot? I'm buyin'' and he'll turn up. For the record we are on good terms and still like each other and have a bunch of mutual friends and stuff. But who wants to hang out with their ex all the time? Oh and Angie is making out with the bartender...

One of my favorite (and the cheapest) bars in Williamsburg. Been coming here for years. Dripping in irony in both decor and attitude, this place plays great music, always has a cheesy movie on in the background, and has the kind of ghetto mini golf course in the back that will drop panties. Gold star if you become a member and get the weekly drink special. (There's a photo booth).
