Busy Burger

This small, corner spot offers BIG flavor! I got jacked with the Jack Burger - so good 😋 (the sauce is fire 🔥🤌🏾). Fries were hot & crispy, and their Spotted Cow (oreo milkshake) was delicious. The only downside is that Busy Burger is within walking distance from my home. 😅

Turkey burger was nicely made! Portion of fries were huge. Waited a short while as the burger was only made when ordered. However, the fries weee were not hot.

I love the fresh cut fries and Spotted Cow milkshakes! (Oreo) Soft serve ice cream and Char dogs. They are always open till midnight, Everyday. They staff there is always so very nice.

I don’t understand why food safety isn’t a priority. When I received my order, the bag was not stapled or sealed shut, yet my receipt was stapled to the outside of the bag. When strangers are making deliveries for your company, the least that can be done to help ensure my food isn’t tampered with is to seal or staple the bag.

My husband and I went to busy burger back in 2022 we were hungry before a Jack Harlow concert. We went to get turkey burgers and they were some of the best turkey burgers we’d ever had juicy thin smashed burgers fresh home cut fries. We went back yesterday after 3 years and I gotta say YUCK!! The food quality went down so bad!! They used to use fresh ground turkey now the turkey is a big thick processed patty absolutely gross with way too much pepper in it!! We were so disappointed we drove an hour to get there and were very disappointed!! 😢 My daughter didn’t like her beef burger either it was so dry not juicy at all! Our turkey burgers came with 2 pickles a dab of sauce small onions no flavor but pepper!! $54 for 3 meals and we left still hungry because we just threw it away the fries were pale in color soft and weird tasting! Not the delicious salted home cut fries we remember! Definitely will NOT be going back!! Should’ve kept the meat the same!

Great juicy burgers. Get place to get some good food

Came with my nephews and brother after their flag football game nearby. Really great quality, selection and prices. I got the impossible burger with hand cut fries. The burger was cooked perfectly and there was a nice spicy kick to the secret sauce they use. The bun was also nice and thick plus fluffy. The fries were very hot and fresh, salted just right. My nephews loved their hot dog and cheeseburger, and also said the fries were good. My brother got the portabella sandwich and it is phenomenal! I wish I ordered it, it was crunchy fried goodness 😋 yay for being plant based/vegan friendly! The serving sizes are good, none of us finished our meal so we took it home. Inside is cozy, it was crowded but we got a table. They make use of the space well with counters running the length of the restaurant. They also have seating outside. So glad I got to try this place, highly recommended for burgers and I hope they open a location in the south loop!

Me and my friends (all black) went walking near busy burger and stopped in front trying to decide if we wanted to eat there. The cashier proceeded to walk to the door, lock it, and signaled no with her hands and walked away. When we went to see if the establishment was closed or were they discriminating against us. Turns out they close at 12am so what was the reason for them locking the door on us at 8pm? Weird interaction wont spend money here ever again.

We've only been here once, but our son is a regular and loves the place. Now, we do too! We came in on a Sunday around 1 and the place was not crazy busy or empty. We all got Busy Burgers and everyone loved theirs. We also got either fries or onion rings and both were really nice too! (The fries could have been a little crisper but that's my preference.) I was surprised the onion rings were like $3.99 or something - often onion rings are considered some super premium side and go for a lot more. We were served about 8 rings and that was just right. The burgers were delicious and the 'Busy Sauce' was nice with a little kick of heat. Red onions on top were great and all in all a really good hamburger. Pricewise, Busy Burger is only a little more than a Whopper or Big Mac, but these are cooked as you order and the quality is very impressive. This is a place I'd eagerly come back to when in the area.

It's losing its flavor. I had a turkey burger and a fry. It's becoming basic. I'll revisit this in another week or so to make sure I'm not tweekin'

Great place on par with in and out back home in the quality and taste of the burgers. Slow service but everything comes out hot and fresh. The shakes are good too. Not much seating so we always pick up or deliver.

I've had Busy Burger as takeout a many times on the office. A coworker never has tried them, so I ordered up lunch. I like that the burger is served in a container keeping the ingredients separate. The burger, bun, grilled onions wrapped to stay warm, the cold ingredients separate--both in a sealed container. I enjoy a good burger! Busy Burger has the market on that if ONLY they would follow the preparation request per customer. I love a good WELL DONE burger. I don't want to see any pink in my patty. That's my preference. So when I place a delivery order I'd it done right. I bit into my burger, I saw pink. I was hungry and I won't tell a fib, the burger was juicy and tasty, but not WELL DONE PER REQUEST ON ORDER. With each bite, more and more pink center patty was exposed --grossing out my entire appetite. I didn't finish the burger for that reason. "Well" was specifically requested on my order. Not a satisfying Busy Burger experience. The fries are hand cut, they are soft and potato filled. I round my meal off with a shake. The shakes are thick, ice cream shakes that come with a straw. You'll definitely get a workout trying to have your shake through a straw, unless you let it melts bit before diving in. Real ice cream, yum! You might want to grab a spoon. Overall, I like Busy Burger and want to have it again, but like all good things I'll give it a rest for now.

I enjoy the food here, but it is hit or miss. The food is consistent as it should be just the people who work in the kitchen is a miss. I was able to order a burger meal but waiting to hear my order is the miss. Should not take more than 20 minutes to get my food when there is literally nobody else eating inside. I had to ask if my burger is ready, which it was and I asked the person if my burger is #xxx and he whispered yes. Service is terrible - Food is great.

Typical burger joint, but it's really nice in the summer that they have the outside tables, recommend the turkey burger

The service was not good the guy picking up the phone messed up my order first time I came here the food was good second time coming here an it totally changed I was expecting the same thing the he over charge me the fries where garbage another 30 dollars down the drain don't recommend coming here at all they need better chefs back there cooking

While walking around the park nearby, I finally decided to stop by Busyburger. Overall the burger tasted super fresh and the patty seemed cooked to each order. They also added a sauce to it that added a little spice for extra flavor! The shake was nothing spectacular but satisfying! I got the spotted cow shake which is their equivalent of an Oreo/cookies and creme flavor. Overall, quality was superior to other burger places when factoring in cost (burger was only $8 and filling!) They had pretty quick service though none of the workers seemed super excited to be there (maybe I caught them too early in the morning!). The inside was welcoming with lots of tvs, lighting, and ambience music, though there weren't many people there although I did go for an early lunch (11am). A few other bonus perks: clena bathrooms, free wifi (a little plaque at every table has the password), and open late!! Parking would have to be paid on Taylor Street but if you live in the neighborhood, walking is definitely nicer and more convenient.

Busy Burger kind of reminds me of Smash Burger. For those who instantly feel offended, hear me out! The burger are constructed in the same manner: structured and neat. This is how I love my burgers to be made. I don't want things slapped together. You can choose your cheese and my favorite thing about the burger was the sauce. It was spicy and savory and definitely gave quite the touch to the burger it needed. Very good job busy burger. If ordered again. The burger was heavy and I definitely did not leave hungry. The Busy Blob Fries were reasonably priced and gave a nice introduction to their cheese sauce and chili. The fries were super crispy (just enough crunch) and topped with a generous amount of chili and cheese. Between a $8 burger and $5 fry, you're full and may not even be able to finish. I am interested to return and try their other sandwiches as well as a shake.

As a student at UIC, I love Busy Burger being so close to campus and providing fast service, tasty food, and milkshakes. They also offer a student discount that me and my friends will always be eternally grateful for. The atmosphere is always friendly and the seating is spacious enough where you'll always have somewhere to eat comfortably. 10/10, will be back next semester as always!

Well, they're definitely busy. Too busy to make a damn good burger. Just dry as hell, my partner choked outside of the restaurant last Thursday on a burger, completely humiliating. Don't let the burger sit out for so long. Amazing ambience, and staff.

Worst burger I have ever ate in my entire life. Even the BOGO free on Uber Eats isn't even worth it. The burger you had in the high school cafeteria was better.

Went in during lunch time recently and I was blown away! I got the Busy Burger with cheese, as well as fries and a drink. Everything was delicious, cooked to perfection, and fresh!! While the portion was quite filling, I just couldn't put my food down! I loved it so much that I went back soon after for a mini burger and onion rings - the perfect amount of food, peak freshness. I appreciated how fast the food came out, as well as the outdoor seating!

A few friends and I were discussing in-n-out and if there were any options in the city that would be similar to the beloved fast food chain on the west coast. That brought us to this place as we were nearby. If you're looking for convenience and a cheap burger place that doesn't cost more than $10, this place just barely meets the requirements for 4 stars. The line was short and the interior looks clean. The staff was courteous and the wait time was short. Their burger is beyond fresh and looks appetizing. The onion rings and fries look crispy and perfectly golden. The whole experience reminds me of a more upscale burger place. However everything just lacks flavor. I am glad I ordered a single because I ended up not being able to finish it (despite after a long day of exercise). The patty was over cooked and dry and there's not that oozy juiciness/meatiness you desire in a good burger. The fries were plain and the onion rings batter was disappointing. HOWEVER the star of the meal was surprisingly the pina colada milk shake. Wow Taylor street is full of amazing dessert options and I had to seriously debate if I wanted to get another pina colada milkshake. It was served ice cold and it had this perfect balance of vanilla and pina colada flavors. The pina colada was so subtle that made each creamy mouthful refreshing and delightful and refreshing and wanting more. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the milkshake!

Came in for takeout and service was great. Fries and burger were good. The burger had an unexpected spice to it, and was a bit overcooked for my taste. I would go back to try the milkshakes!

Fresh burgers. I'll make it simple. These are affordable tasty burgers. This place has lots of food options from Pizza puffs, hot dogs, cheese fries, onion rings, salads and even bun less options. There's paid street parking and indoor dining. It's affordable, burger meals available under ten bucks. This place has nice chill vibes with a few tv screens, absolutely worth it all

I only have the veggie burger and the huge onion rings. Taste great as a fat food option.

I went to get donuts but saw this place across the street and decided to try them and I'm so glad I did!!! The burgers are amazing you get a nice size patty with fresh toppings and that busy sauce is spicy and delicious. The fries were really good and so was the Oreo shake, I will be back!!

I ordered from Busy Burger via Yelp with Grubhub delivery. Hungry at the time while doing my laundry, I broadened my search for restaurants within a radius of the laundromat and found Busy Burger. As a vegetarian, I am destined to try every restaurant I find that has a plant-based burger option. There was no turning back once I noted the Impossible Burger on the menu which is what I ordered along with a drink. It took thirty-five minutes from the time my order was acknowledged by Grubhub to the arrival of it at the laundromat. A shout out to the Grubhub driver for making that happen within a reasonable timeframe. Never have I ordered food while anywhere other than work, at a hotel, or home until now. This ordering experience has me open to ordering while out conducting personal things in the future. The Impossible Burger was very presentable in its container. Its taste with the addition of the busy sauce tasted tangy, but good! All in all, I had a pleasant ordering experience with Busy Burger. I enjoyed my meal and would gladly order from again in the future. ~Blessings~ Thomas G

Pretty good food, little on the pricey side. Quality was great on the burgers. Fries were okay didn't travel well on the delivery. Overall for a fast casual place I would recommend it.

Overall excellent Turkey Burgers, I will be revisiting. Flaky buns and soft chewy meat that melts in your mouth, and kind waiter. I also found the burgers reasonably priced, fresh and honestly very clean tasting burgers. I can't wait to try again on my next trip to Chicago.

I ordered a burger off GrubHub. I added bacon and Avacado. This was a pretty low quality burger, the meat itself was very dry and none of the ingredients looked or tasted fresh. Wouldn't recommend.

It was a hot summery Monday and we had our eyes set on burgers. Fortunately, Busy Burger was open even though it was a holiday. Our to-go order consisted of: 1) Double busy burger 2) Double turkey burger 3) Single turkey burger 4) Portobello burger 5) Two orders of fries The burgers are huge and they all come with the spicy busy sauce. I asked for the sauce on the side for all of the burgers because I did not want the burgers to be soggy by the time we got home and I was uncertain of the spice and heat level. The burgers held up well despite sitting in the bag for over an hour. However, the silly me forgot to order a burger for the girls to split. I then took one of the patties from the double burgers and made a burger with buns that I had previously bought from the store. With some added cheese, the girls had a burger to split. Phew!

I came here for dinner after I did ok (as usual) bowling near by and ordered the single busy burger with just sauce and lettuce only and asked fries well done. Drink was chocolate shake. Didn't wait too long and was nice decent food (sauce was sorta spicy) Shake was better than the one at Russell's. They charge .77 for ranch. They have TVs but no sound instead have loud house music.

Service is nice. One of the best turkey burgers I've had at a restaurant. Nice place to go and sit outside on a nice Chicago day.

Nothing beats a fresh tasty Portobello sandwich. Portobello was crispy and breaded, buns were soft, lettuce & tomato were fresh. Service is good, simple, they call your receipt number and you pick up your food. Restaurant is well kept, clean and they offer outdoor seating. It's a bonus for a nice day in Chicago.

The food was decent and came out quickly. It wasn't a particularly memorable burger but we were hungry and it hit the burger craving we had. I had a beef burger with everything on it, fries and a swirl soft serve cone. Prices were decent for the amount of food you got. Since it's close to work, it's a decent spot to go to for when I'm wanting a burger.

Quick and delicious fast food. If I'm craving a hot dog or burger, I'd much rather go to Busy Burger than any other similar style place. Fair prices and fresh food matters and this place has it.

Always consistent. Fast service, great fries, and tasty burger sauce. Hard to park if you're not from the neighborhood but plenty of seating if you want to hang as most people order takeout.

Yeah I heard great things about this place and was excited to try it. I was happy that they had a Turkey burger option but it overall the meal was mediocre.

The burger was good but a little too small for the bun. The fries are double fried which should give you crispy fries. These fries were soggy and greasy. The milkshake was okay and kind of small for the price. Overall I would go back because the burger was good.

*3.5 stars I attached a photo so you could see how dry the beef looks. Honestly, the texture kind of felt off to me and didn't taste like a textbook beef patty. The most important part to a burger for me is the beef. Lettuce and tomatoes tasted fresh. I liked the house sauce. Fries were okay, can't complain or praise them. Prices were reasonable. There was a good spread of seating inside. I could definitely see myself coming to this place often if the beef wasn't disappointing.

It's an okay burger place. You can guarantee you food will come out piping hot and fresh because it is cooked to order. I ordered a Turkey Burger combo with a milkshake. Honestly the best part of this place to me was the milkshake. I loved the texture of it and it was made just right. I got my shake before the rest of my food which was nice. It wasn't too busy when I went and thank goodness because if it is packed I can only imagine the wait time since everything is made fresh. For a burger spot I would say it's on the pricier side of things. The fries were just okay. I'm not a huge fan of their fries. If the fries were different maybe that would have added to my experience. I like my fries to have crunch but they have the soggy type fries. The burger you can get the works but if you want any cheese or additional items there is a cost. It has a nice section to eat in but we got it to go. Parking for this place you just have to time it right or hope someone is leaving. But that's basically Parking anywhere in Chicago.

Pretty decent burger, nothing special though. The fries with cheese sauce were super tasty though. And the service was friendly and fast. 3 stars because I felt it was pretty average, but it was a decent quick meal.

I ordered the Busy Burger Beef Combo. It was honestly delicious: the bread, lettuce, onion, tomato were all fresh and the beef patty was well seasoned. The size of the burger is big, and the portion of the fries is also fairly large for one person. I paid around 11 with the student discount of 15% The decor of the venue is well decorated, sort of like an indoor patio.

I was recommended this place by a friend for its close proximity to campus. The food was great but what really stood out was the customer service. We were helped by Ella and for our first time there she was able to give great recommendations and made our first time there less overwhelming. Definitely worth stopping by even if it is just for a shake and fries.

If you are on a low budget and looking for a burger place, this will be the one. A mini burger with fries, just about under 6 dollars. Certain to fill the hungry as the fries amount is filling.

I had a summertime craving for Mario's Italian Lemonade (you know when that feeling hits ya, am I right?). However my lovely friend and I were on Taylor Street on a Sunday afternoon, so we wanted a bite to eat as well before hitting that venerable Italian ice stand. Seems many many many places on Taylor Street are closed on Sundays. We were very pleasantly surprised to find that Busy Burger was open, and also served up some pretty solid versions of fast food favorites. The menu is not super extensive, but we took a few seconds to check out the listings. The most amusing-sounding items were the "Busy Blob Dog" and "Piggy Busy Blob Fries" (both including a "blob" of creamy Wisconsin cheddar). I ordered a turkey burger with all the fixin's (grilled onion, lettuce, tomato, pickle slices). The "spicy busy sauce" was just a tad spicy, so it was a good condiment for the turkey burger patty. My lovely friend went with the Flame Broiled Polish, which seems like a bargain as it also comes with a side of hand-cut fries (all the dogs come with fries). They also emphasize that the burgers are handmade and the shakes are hand spun, so there you have it. We both agreed that everything we ate was tasty and really hit the spot. The interior showcases lots of green signage and wood elements. There is an outdoor dining area that tries really hard to look like a cozy beer garden (or perhaps shake garden in this case?). There is only one shared bathroom. Busy Burger was busy but not too busy during our visit, so our food came out only a few minutes after ordering.

Stuffed burger was amazing. Definitely deserves to be in top 10 burgers in Chicago. All burgers have a nice seasoned spice. Milkshakes are perfect. Great staff.

If you're a hungry college student or just a business worker that ain't got much time in your day, then Busy Burger is a great spot to hit up to get that quick and easy craving out of the way. My friend and I dropped on by after checking out a nearby event in Little Italy. On a Saturday afternoon, the restaurant wasn't too busy (haha) and seemed to have a good order/pickup system going. To start, you order the busy burger ($6) and select the kinds of add-ons you'd want including cheese, bacon, avocado, and more. I also opted for some fries since I wanted to have the full experience. Our burgers came out in about ten minutes and we were ready to chow down. My Busy Burger with Bacon turned out pretty good, although the meat was missing that charbroiled taste that I was hoping for. On top of that, the fries were a bit soggy, although the Wisconsin cheese dip made it much more worthwhile. So burger was pretty good at about $10 for a meal. You can likely find cheaper options nearby so I would swing by here if you want the ability to customize your burger versus simply ordering one from a menu. University students receive a 15% discount which is pretty nice!

A really good staple food place. While spending the night over at UIC I found this place. For people forming or going to school there this would be an awesome place to stop by one day. The inside feel is great and cute. The service was good and my food was made pretty fast, considering how many people were there. I ordered the turkey burgers and the something pig fries. Both were reallly good. The turkey burger was cooked really well and had great flavor. Their home made sauce also have it a little spice kick that put the whole burger nicely together. The fries has the right amount of cheese on them (I normally don't like too much). All together great food and great service. Would recommend to anyone to visit. I would say to try the turkey burger because I really enjoyed it!
