This was a huge disappointment.
We were told by the server at our table to use our phones if we wanted to order our food/pay online. I ordered pork gyoza and pork buns at 6:55p on a Saturday night - I've got text receipts!
Unfortunately you have to enter your tip now which is a trap - if you don't tip beforehand will it affect your food/service? If you do, will it also affect food/service? As a millennial I guess I just always tip 20% regardless, but STILL.
I give some time leeway because I know there are staffing issues everywhere and it's a Saturday night but by 7:30 I go up to Buya to see if there was a miscommunication or issue.
Everyone looked upset that I was walking up and they had to open the window. I explained that I hadn't received a text that it was ready and it hasn't been delivered yet. With an eye roll I was asked my name and when he looked down he realized "Oh.." - my food had been sitting there (with about 6 other trays of food) for a long time.
When I tell you this food was cold, I mean I'm not even sure it was ever cooked. Is this the first $30 I'll waste on food? No. Will this be the last at Buya? Oh yeah.
If you've read this far and are still interested, just order straight from them and stand there. (I would have normally done this if I wasn't instructed to order online by my server).
