"New York City’s casual vegan chain By Chloe opens its third location in Boston on Tuesday, August 28 (399 Boylston St., Back Bay). The growing company — which styles its name as “by CHLOE.” — serves a broad menu of sandwiches, salads, pasta, and sides, all made without animal byproducts. Spanning 3,000 square feet, Back Bay’s By Chloe seats 50 people inside, plus another 24 on an outdoor patio. Inside, the muted color accents bear resemblance to the other locations in the area, with yellow cushions and hanging swing chairs in the windows. There is also a designated area for people to pick up to-go orders and online pre-orders. Hallmark items appearing on By Chloe’s menu in Back Bay include a guac burger (with a bean, quinoa, and sweet potato patty), quinoa taco salad, mac and “cheese” (with sweet potato cashew sauce), and a pesto “meatball” sub. On weekends, there’s a brunch menu that features cinnamon rolls, tofu scrambles, and pancakes. New specials rolling out September 1 range from smashed avocado toast to roasted Brussels sprouts. By Chloe’s menus also highlight food sensitivity issues, designating which items contain gluten, soy, or assorted nuts." - Dana Hatic

"Plus, throughout the month of May (or while supplies last), vegan restaurant By Chloe (with local locations in the Seaport District and Fenway) will be serving a collaboration with Dō — a trio of vegan ready-to-eat cookie doughs in cinnamon espresso cookie, old-fashioned chocolate chip cookie, and matcha chocolate babka." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

I do not remember exactly what I ordered there but it was delicious. Vegan food is definitely tasty and special praise to the beet ketchup and chipotle aioli. I am floored by that. The place is very well done and has a very bright feel to it. The pricing seems to be just about perfect when you factor in the costs associated for making the products.

A super aesthetic restaurant--loved the hanging chairs and other decor. The food was also yummy--the meatball sub was very filling and well-spiced. The avocado burger was good too, but I didn't find it as flavorful as the sub. The combo with the burger is a great deal though--$14 for a burger, fries, and lemonade. The sweet potato fries are great, but the beet ketchup is a little strange--I prefer their Chipotle mayo. The specialty lemonades are just the right amount of sweetness, and very refreshing! My only complaint is that the trash/recycling is unclear. All utensils, cups, and plates are compostable, as far as I could tell, but there was no place to put compost--only trash and recycling.

The food was very good and the vibe was hip and trendy. The only reason why I dinged it one star was because I felt like the food didn't really fill me up for long, and since it is pricier for a chain I was hoping that I would stay full longer. Nevertheless, I think by Chloe is an experience in itself and people should try it at least once. It is a reminder that we can get very creative with food and that vegan does not equal tasteless.

It’s wonderful that their food is vegan, and I’ve been wanting to try them in NYC and Boston forever. But I ordered food via Grubhub and it was late, the meatball sandwich was soggy, the Mac and cheese was half full, and they omitted utensils despite it saying right on the receipt: include utensils. I wrote to byChloe Fenway privately and never even heard back. Save your time, money, and frustration, and go to any of the other amazing vegan spots around town.

From the outside I thought this place was a bakery but it’s far from it. Short and simple veggie menu with salads and sandwiches. My colleague and I ordered the Quinoa Taco Salad which was great and we also a side of the “half and half” air-cooked fries. I was also pleasantly surprised by the Beetroot ketchup.

Very nice place. Not only the food is great, the place is very nice too! I ordered a guac burger and some air-baked fries that were excellent! There are different burger options, as well as some salads, mac n cheese, and of course desserts. Everything is vegan, but even if you're not, you will like it here. Yummy! Five stars from me!

Delicious take on vegan food, the flavours explode in your mouth. Portions are rather small for the price, and don't include any sides, but still, worth the trip! We tried the pesto meatball and the whiskey BBQ - SOO good.

Delicious vegan food in a lovely atmosphere! I don’t consider myself a vegan/vegetarian or health nut so I thought Chloe wasn’t for me, but I've kept going back after trying their amazing *air baked fries* with beet ketchup and chipotle sauce, and the *guac burger*! It’s great that Chloe is making a vegan/vegetarianism more accessible to the public. While it's a bit pricey, between taste, health, and positive environment-impact, nothing is sacrificed! Additionally, the staff is always friendly, and the space is relaxing and adorable. I was impressed by the attention to detail. The burgers came with burger bibs (a paper wrapper to catching the falling contents before they got onto your clothes). There were coloring books and crayons for customers to take, as well as swing chairs to take photos in. It's also dog-friendly! My dog got to enjoy some by CHLOE. dog treats and photos by the swing chairs during our last trip:)
