The Not-Your-Average Philly Cheesesteak Guide

"Things that will stand the test of time: the pyramids, Barbie’s obsession with pink, and this city’s love of putting broccoli rabe on a sandwich. At Reading Terminal Market’s By George, they have an Italian Cheesesteak that mixes tender chopped steak with broccoli rabe, roasted peppers, and sharp provolone. The sandwich is basically a roast pork that grew up on a dairy farm instead of Peppa Pig’s house. The vegetables make it crunchier than the cheesesteaks we’re used to, and has a nice balance of salty and sweet. It works so well that it got us thinking about other Philly-centric things we can mash up, like a tomato pie made on a soft pretzel or a statue of Pink doing her acrobatics next to Rocky’s. " - candis mclean

By George Review - Center City - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"Need a place in for pizza, pasta, and a ? Look no further than By George, a counter-service spot that you can easily find by following the scent of marinara. You can't go wrong with anything they put on a long, buttery roll—including our favorite, the Italian Cheesesteak. They also have a solid rotation of thin-crust , like the Four Cheese Hot Honey that oozes with as much mozzarella as it does a peppery, syrupy glaze, and a super doughy tomato pie.  " - Candis R. "“You have a steak in it!” is the motto of Reading Terminal Market’s By George, where a portion of the profits from every cheesesteak sold goes toward feeding a child in need. By George supports Philabundance’s KidsBites, Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry, and King’s Castle’s Feeding Program in El Salvador. Google
There are so many lines in reading terminal. But you won’t have to wait long for a slice of pizza at the counter here. Not because it isn’t good but because…well idk why tbh. But the pizza here is super duper solid. My favorite is the honey pepperoni. Check them out! Friendly staff too

Since 1990, By George's has served people for their authentic Italian Cuisine, such as pizza varieties, tomato pies, lasagna, Chicken Parmesan, Spaghetti, Italian Sandwiches, and of course, their cheesesteaks. As I came into Reading Terminal Market for the first time during my recent trip out to the City of Brotherly Love, I came into the bustling market hoping to find a great Cheesesteak, and I was certainly flattered by the shear quality that this cheesesteak brought to my tastebuds. While it was $18 for just the Cheesesteak, the incorporation of Onions, Skirt Steak, Sweet Peppers, American Cheese, and a hoagie roll being a welcomed lunch for certain. The way that it was ordered, paired with the atmosphere also proved to be a dynamic duo that can only be seen in the city. The one dud to this experience were the lines that I had to encounter, just to get food. It took 12 minutes in the Cheesesteak line, but these lines are associated with coming to the area during the summer months, where the crowds are peak, even on Tuesdays, the slowest day of the week for spending. In conclusion, while the lines for this place tend to make this stall a place weird from going to, this place offers a great cheesesteak for an affordable price, but in the future, I may try the Itlaian dishes they offer.

Google
By George has a large selection of pizza, hoagies, cheese steaks, Italian dishes grab and go sauces. The cheese steaks are delicious. Sesame Seeded roll, choice of cheeses, onions ECT. Is a bit pricey but downtown in Reading Terminal Market your going to pay. Bill came to 23$ for the cheese steak and a drink. If your in the area I would check it out.

Google
Chicken Parm sandwich was huge but not really flavorful. Super sloppy sandwich, they just scoop the chicken parm from the pan that'd be for a meal on to the roll. Not a bad idea but I think they couldve chopped it a couple times to make it fit better. Waffles fries were good but didnt get much. May try a steak next time. Update: Had a Chz Stk, taste was good but price and amount of meat compared to other spots in there failed in comparison. ...average spot. Overall, aight spot but not something I'd return to again.

Google
Asked for a chicken cutlet sandwich with broccoli rabe. They said they had one left already made. Huh? It looked great. He heated it in the pizza oven. Wow! It had roasted peppers and provolone, I don't know what else already on their sesame seed hoagie /grinder roll. Best sandwich we have had in years. (We split it.) The staff were super nice too!

Google
Hands down the best pizza I’ve had in Philly. The crust is perfectly chewy, the toppings are generous, and the balance of flavors when you take a bite is simply unbelievable. On top of that, the staff is very friendly and the prices are more than reasonable. Highly recommended for any pizza lover.

Google
The cheese steak was 🔥. It was loaded with seasoned meat. The bread was soft. You can choose your toppings but you will pay extra for it. The sub is a great size, and the service was quick. The service was cool. Sandwich tasted wonderful 😋. I will return.

Google
Excellent food and great service. We were fortunate to get here before it got really busy. I got a spinach, mushroom and pepper Stromboli & a Greek salad with chicken 😘🤌🏻 Deliziosa!
google avatar

Michael D.

Yelp
The best Stromboli you'll ever eat! I know, that's a bold statement, but I will own it. The Pepperoni Stromboli is salty, a little spice from the pepperoni and cooked in a wood fired pizza oven to perfection. I first had this Stromboli in 2007 and again today, it was a walk down palate lane. The red sauce is excellent This time I also tried the meatballs. They weren't bad but not my favorite. The Lasagna was good but not as good as moms. If you're in Philly, swing by the Reading Terminal and give George's Stromboli a try.

Yelp
Located in Reading Terminal, this cheesesteak and pasta place is pretty close to the convention center and the Marriott. I was in town for a short stay and would have tried a few cheesesteak spots if time had allowed. I overall the sandwich was good, nice savory beef flavor, a tad salty and the beef could have stayed a minute or two longer on the flat top to add a little crisp. The bread was actually pretty good and not an afterthought, nice and fluffy texture. I actually had to eat these over two meals because it was so huge. The crinkle cut fries were really crunchy and provided a nice contrast to the melty cheesy beef. I added mushrooms which was extra to add. The line at the stall, while marked out on the floor, is split between the deli and the pasta/cheesesteak ordering. Still was a little confusing for some visitors. The line was about five people or so ahead of me so not too long ago wait. The terminal itself is hustle and bustle busy and noisy, very few places to sit and eat, and was honestly difficult to order and hear the cashier with all the noise .

Yelp
Loved their eggplant parmsean so good. I also enjoyed their Philly cheesesteak sandwich would highly recommend if it reading market terminal.

Dennis D.

Yelp
I've seen this place on lists before--never high but it's sometimes appeared on bottom of the "Top xx" list in the city. I thought I'd be getting a better steak than what I did. The good: the steak had a lot of flavor, the onions complemented it well, and there was a good amount of cheese throughout. Now the bad (which is arguably the most important part in this city): the bread. The bread had a weird consistency. It was seeded which was a plus, but the bread was a "not quite but almost crumbly" consistency. I've had plenty of steaks at the other usual suspect places in this city and this might have been the worst roll I've had.
google avatar

Erikamarie B.

Yelp
Great cheesesteak! The sesame seed bun really pushes it over the threshold of good into great. I prefer with American, peppers, and onions and mayo. Solid - ate the whole thing without remembering to take a pic

Yelp
Summary: Located within Reading Terminal Market, By George is a shop that serves all sorts of carbs including cheesesteaks. It's a bit pricey (it was over $24 for a cheesesteak with minimal toppings and a side of fries) and honestly I expected a bit more out of what's considered a staple entree in Philly. I know By George isn't one of the places that people typically go when cheesesteaks are mentioned, but we were in Reading Terminal Market and the spot looked good, so I checked it out. They pretty much add an extra fee for anything and everything you add to your meal. Cheese is like + $3, peppers is like $2, etc etc. I only added 2 toppings and fries and I was sitting at over $24. The cheesesteak itself was ok. The meat was tender and good quality, but the flavor was kind of lacking. I feel like it needed more seasoning or kick to "pop." I think I would've given the place one more star if the price point was a bit lower, but given the price I had higher expectations. Only interaction with service was the person taking the order and he talked so quick, you don't really realize that everything he's asking you want is actually an extra charge. Ambiance there is inside the Reading Terminal Market which is pretty busy/chaotic during most hours. They also serve other food that looks decent, but I think I'll probably try my hand at one of the other many cheesesteak spots inside Reading Terminal Market if I have a craving.
google avatar

Tia L.

Yelp
You see the cheesesteak picture is only half because I broke the rule of camera eats first. That's how much I enjoyed this cheesesteak. It's been my favorite one I've had here so far. I had cooper sharp ketchup mayo onions salt and pepper. The line was long because it was lunch time but the cashier was efficient fast and friendly. It was clean and I would definitely eat there again.

Yelp
We got 2 slices of pizza yesterday and it was delicious! Huge slices and the sauce was spot on!. Definitely trying the Italian cold cuts next time as they looked so good!

Sandy L.

Yelp
We wanted to try a cheesesteak while in Philly, no brainer. We ordered the "special" which was a cheesesteak with chicken or beef and jalapenos and topped with mac and cheese. It was mostly like eating a mac and cheese sandwich. No kick from the jalapenos. Couldn't taste the onions or any spice on the meat. I would pass on this one next time. On the plus side the sandwich was generous, my husband and I ordered one and couldn't finish it.
google avatar

Emily A.

Yelp
Wow pizza is amazing! Quick by the slice pizza that they pop right in their brick oven

Di S.

Yelp
Tried the alfredo tortellini and it was OK (too thin of a liquid and didn't stick to pasta). If I had to come back I'd probably get the baked ziti. Update: baked ziti was decent but I probably wouldn't get again.
google avatar

Nadia H.

Yelp
This place is in reading terminal and has many pizza options. The pizza itself is a classic, greasy (in a good way) pizza with an excellent cheese pull when you bite. I got the veggie pizza slice and was pleased by the amount of toppings that were on the slice. There is also pasta salads and calzones available. A spot worth checking out!

Yelp
Only in Philly for a quick day trip and had an out of town guest who had never experienced the city. In trying to maximize our time, we decided to take a chance and consolidate the Reading Terminal Market experience with finding a solid cheesesteak to check that experience off the list. We bypassed Tommy DiNic's roast pork masterpieces and Beiler's bakery scrumptiousness to take a chance at By George. Having lived in Philly decades ago, I was hesitant to use any stand inside the Market as a good benchmark of the city's offerings. That hesitancy proved unwarranted. By George provided a very solid example of what a cheesesteak should be : the right amount of grease, the right chop to the steak, and a great balance of cheese to meat. I had the mushroom cheesesteak with provolone/onions/hot peppers. I was completely satisfied. It brought back old memories as soon as I bit into the sandwich. The hot peppers added just the right splash of vinegar to help cut through the unctuousness of the meat and cheese. In fact, the other sandwich was ordered with the hot peppers and, while still tasting good, lacked that little extra to make it more memorable. The only interesting downside was that they don't have cheese whiz. I personally prefer the provolone, but for those who was the the "whiz wit", not here
google avatar

Denny J.

Yelp
Hidden in the Reading Terminal the pizza section on one part of the "L" shaped counter, other Italian dishes on the other side. Ordered a regular slice and a tomato slice to go. The service was slow and where the stand is, close to an exit, people are bunched up on top of each other waiting. When I got back with the pizza, they pack it on paper plates and cover it with a paper sleeve on top of each other which causes the cheese to stick. But, the pizza was very good. A great place to grab a slice but of course difficult to eat at the station.

Fortitudetude ..

Yelp
Not a beef Philly cheesesteak connoisseur so unsure what a good cheesesteak is. It was fine. No strong flavor. If light eater, can share with another person. Meatball is generous in size (3 bites?). Sweet-ish marinara sauce. Standard Cesar salad (light on cheese). Busy market place. Got it to go. 5-10 min wait
google avatar

Annie T.

Yelp
MUST order the ITALIAN MEATBALLS. These are the BEST meatballs I've ever had - juicy, tender, perfect acidity, and it comes with a toast. Ask for extra sauce!
google avatar

Enna J.

Yelp
Friendly service. They have made to order as well as cafeteria style food. Don't steer away from the cafeteria style...the eggplant parm (although already made and sitting there in the hot pan) was DELICIOUS! Huge portion and THAT SAUCE!!!! YUM
google avatar

Patrick G.

Yelp
I ordered a Turkey hoagie from here, and it was great. The sandwich was meaty, fresh, and well-made. The bread was soft, warm, and fresh. The service was excellent. I didn't wait long for the sandwich to be made. This place is busy, and their selection is excellent. When I return to Philly, I will revisit this place.

Yelp
I recently tried the gnocchi pasta salad at Reading Terminal Market while trying a few diff items from diff vendors. I did my own little mini food tour! The gnocchi pasta salad was very tasty. I think it would've gone even better with one of their sandwiches- I just didn't happen to get one that day. I'll return to give that combo a try! The lines at By George are a bit disorganized and can feel overwhelming. I recommend just paying close attention and asking ppl around you if needed.
google avatar

Caressa H.

Yelp
One of our favorite during our time in Philadelphia. Flavor of the meat was good, cheese wiz was of course a great addition and the bread was nice and soft. The gentleman working the counter had the best customer service. He was so kind and gave recommendation for what my family and I should check out in the area.

Yelp
I like to celebrate birthdays. I'll celebrate with you all week long. This week was my boyfriend's birthday week. We went to Philly for his actual birthday, and it was amazing. First timer? Look down. There are arrows and directions on the floor in front of the popular cheesesteak places, so you know where to order, where to stand and wait. Got your sammich? Head to the far end of the market to grab a seat and try to keep your eyes from rolling back in delight when you take that first incredible bite. We got a simple sandwich, onions and American cheese... but what we got was a glorious thing. The sesame seed roll is just perfect. The amount of filling and the cut of the steak is exactly what I wanted. It was such a wonderful introduction to By George's, and the Terminal Market. Hi. Hello. I think we'll be great friends... We're from Baltimore, and we've had sandwiches from Delassandro's, Geno's, Cleaver's, and Spataro's (so far) and By George's is right up there. Personally, Delassandro's is still my favorite, but George is my runner-up to be sure. When we go back - and we WILL go back - we've already decided that we're going back to By George's because they have an extensive selection and I need to taste more. George is doing it RIGHT. Head there first.
google avatar

Trevor H.

Yelp
Great spot to hit up while in the Reading Terminal Market. This cheesesteak was really good along with a side of fries. A bit of wait since everyone is going to be clamoring to get it, so be patient and you'll be rewarded.
google avatar

Jordan C.

Yelp
I'm a huge pizza fan and I know pizza places like this can be hit and miss so I was happy to find By George was terrific. The pizza I had was fresh and tasted great - I loved the thick but flaky crust. I only tried the pizza but the folks in line in front of me got tasty looking sandwiches toasted in the pizza oven which sounded good too.
google avatar

Joe H.

Yelp
I often go to the Terminal before 9AM. It's easy to get what I need without the crowds. Sometimes I like to pick up lunch on my way out. The cold sandwiches here never fail. Fresh, delicious, and fairly priced. The service? Not so much. If you come by around lunch they are humming, but in the morning you can stand at their counter across from Iovines and be ignored, get surly service from people who clearly are not loving their jobs (lives, etc) or just walk away. Never a good experience before noon. I do love the food though so I gave them three stars. Life is short and it costs nothing to smile or say hello
google avatar

Abhi K.

Yelp
This is a cheesteak review: it's average, but it might be the best one in RTM. The bread did not seem freshly baked, it's a pretty average hoagie roll with seeds. The meat was good quality, no complaints about that. The cheese was not enough. I felt like one half of the sandwich had just enough cheese and the other half had none.
google avatar

Richard A.

Yelp
Never had a bad meal from here! Pizza is sandwiches are cheesesteaks are the line moves fast, the people behind the counter are all super friendly and talkative and it's very clean. Definitely make a good cheese steak!
google avatar

Darrell L.

Yelp
Big fan of DiNic's so that's where I end up going but a few others want a cheesesteak so they go to By George. Two hoagies ordered - 1. Cheesesteak with provolone and onions 2. Chicken cutlet with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe with a mayo based sauce. The cheesesteak is filled with steak so can't really complain about that but the cheese to steak ratio is a bit off. Can't really get the cheese taste in every bite, unfortunately. Overall not bad but have had better in Philly. The chicken cutlet was also decent. One complaint-the breaded cutlet is in the fridge so it is not crunchy and should be heated up in the oven a bit longer. The cheese wasn't melted enough either...and that's the problem. A hot hoagie with melted cheese would make all the difference... 3-3.5 stars is the verdict...
google avatar

Vanessa T.

Yelp
OMG THIS PLACE WAS AMAZING!!! My coworkers and I decided to try out different types of sandwiches in this Reading Terminal Market. So we all split up and ordered different sandwiches and met up later to share. We got the american philly cheesesteaks and the provolone cheesesteak from here. My favorite was the american cheesesteak because it had the right amount of sharp cheddar taste and it was gooey from the melted cheese. It literally was the best sandwich I have ever had. The provolone was just alright...the cheese was very light and didn't really bring out the flavor of the sandwich. We all agreed that the american cheese was the favorite.

Yelp
I came here twice while visiting, once to grab a slice of pizza which I'd give a 7/10 and then to grab an italian hoagie for lunch before heading to the airport- I'd give that an 8.5/10. The line varied depending on the day, but even during the busier day I visited staff was quick to get through the line so the wait time wasn't too bad. The woman helping me both days was calm and friendly despite the sometimes chaotic feel of reading terminal. I appreciated that when I got my sandwich she was able to cut it into two so I could eat half for lunch and save the other half for the airport later. The tomatoes were ripe and juicy, the lettuce and onions crisp, and the bread with toasted sesames was SO GOOD. I'm not a mayo fan but as the sandwich came straight from the display case I couldn't change the fact that there was a generous helping of mayo on the sandwich. It held up pretty well for a couple hours between me eating one portion for lunch and another before boarding my flight. Given that the bread was quite solid only a tiny bit of it got soggy during that time. This place is great in that it has SO many options and you can see them all in the display case so you know exactly what you're getting. Having tried the two I'd recommend the italian sandwich over the pizza!

Mark N. T.

Yelp
I had tried a cheesesteak. But I wanted to try an authentic one in Philly. I was looking for it at the market. I found " By George". I was there around 330pm. I still saw a lot of people. I ordered it for $13. It was big and awesome. I loved it! I checked the nutrition facts on Google. An 8-inch cheesesteak has 860 calories, 46 grams of fat(71% Daily Value), 112mg of cholesterol(37% DV ), and 1072 grams of sodium(45% DV). Thanks, Philly, you made my day and fat.LOL. This was my guilty pleasure! Please forget to count the calories! Enjoy!
google avatar

kristin c.

Yelp
I don't eat too much cheesesteaks but this was good. Looked plain and didn't look cheesy but was enough for me to not make it too salty.
google avatar

Roger C.

Yelp
Very expensive to eat here. Sandwiches are very good but is it worth paying the equivalent of two lunches for just one? There is a rude guy that works there - older with very short hair. Try not to engage with him as he seems to have anger issues.
google avatar

Jian C.

Yelp
The sandwich, overall, was average. It had a substantial weight to it. While the steak was cooked well, it lacked flavor and seasoning. The sandwich itself tasted rather plain, and the spinach was clumped together instead of being evenly spread. Additionally, the roasted peppers added little to no flavor, resulting in a bland experience.
google avatar

Richard D.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I visited By George for lunch on January 6, 2023. It was our first full day in the city and she wanted to try a Philly Cheese Steak. The sandwich was great and she had leftovers for lunch the following day. A truly sizable sandwich for a great price.
google avatar

Shaquanda M.

Yelp
Cheesesteak was just okay. I got cheesesteak with peppers and mushrooms. Ordered very quickly. The cheesesteak was made to order, so it was hot and fresh. Service was good. Would like to go back and try something different.
google avatar

Margery B.

Yelp
The service was great and provided recommendations as we asked them. The vegetarian hoagie was the best. Freshly made and the flavor was incredible. I recommend you eat them when you are really hungry as they can be very filling. Note the place gets really crowded with other restaurants and seating could be limited. It c.can be quite loud as there are many people at the Reading Terminal. The experience is worth it. Try it!
google avatar

Yelp
During our last few moments in Philly, we stopped in the Reading Terminal Market to check out all the goodies. We had already had cheessteaks earlier at a different location, but I had to bring some home so I decided to stop at by George because of the reviews and the food looked really good! I went with two cheesesteaks, with onions, peppers, and provolone cheese. There were a lot of people, but they were very quick...both at taking orders and getting food out. The cheesesteak was pretty big and looked amazing. I tried it later that evening, after throwing it in the oven and it tasted pretty good as well. This was my first time in Philly, so not sure what to expect with cheesesteaks, but they're definitely different than what is offered in MD. I'm used to hots, which wasn't offered at some of these sandwich spots, or maybe I didn't ask the right thing? Nonetheless, great customer service and selection of food. If you're in Philly, definitely a good spot to check out.
google avatar

Miles A.

Yelp
Really good cheesesteak right in reading terminal market. The roll and beef were good quality. Lora of cheese and onion/pepper. Nice.
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
Not all cheesesteaks are created equal--though what I've learned during my Philadelphia visit is that just about every local has their own personal favorite. Well, I loved the cheesesteak at By George's in the remarkable Reading Terminal Station. Served piping hot, my sammy with provolone and mushrooms was excellent, especially with a drizzle of pizza sauce recommended by my Philadelphia-born co-traveler. Also tried the pizza, a it was even better than the sandwich. There are dozens of amazing food choices at Reading Terminal Station, but for my money and a true Philly experience I would recommend By George's.
google avatar

Sam H.

Yelp
Don't let the neon glow of cheesesteak signs fool you, this isn't a tourist trap. The consistent line wrapped around the place is a tell tell sign this place is sure enough to be a crowd favorite in the reading terminal. The pasta, especially the lasagna looked amazing but had to stay focused on my mission: have one of Philly's top cheesesteak and live to tell the tale of it to my fellow yelpers. We tried both the original cheesesteak with peppers and the Buffalo chicken cheesesteak. The original cheesesteak was a melt in your mouth with the juu of the steak cover the palate in an umami bomb of greasy cheesy goodness in all the right ways. The peppers helped cut the some of the grease, in hindsight adding some hot peppers to add some acidity would have made this 4 star into a 5. The Buffalo chicken was good, albeit a bit on the dry side. The chicken was well seasoned and went well with the Buffalo sauce. Not sure why it's a must try dish on Yelp but it was a solid 3 star in my book. Overall, if you're looking for a good cheesesteak and want to go to the reading terminal. George's won't disappoint. P.S. the lasagna looked really spectacular and was ordered a lot by people in front of us.

Yelp
The opening day of the Philadelphia Flower Show and being Saturday, The Reading Terminal Market was very very crowded when I visited. There was a long line on both sides of the stall. We were served quickly by a friendly staff. I chose their Milano sandwich which they heated up. Also had a side of fries with cheese. 9.25 Milano Genoa Salami, Provolone Cheese, Prosciutto, Fresh Tomato, Caramelized Onions & Balsamic Vinegar on an Italian Seeded Loaf. This combo was very tasty especially heated up a bit. Two of us shared this sandwich for lunch and although delicious and satisfying enough it could have used a bit more fillings hence the 4 stars. The big tub of fries topped with the homemade cheese hit the spot. Tip: cheese goes to the bottom so stir it up. Have to try their cheesesteak and pizza next time.
google avatar

Eric F.

Yelp
I am by no means a Philly cheesesteak expert, but the one here was certainly tasty. My wife and I tried the wild mushroom variant with provolone and we appreciated the just-grilled, flavorful chopped ribeye and fresh bread. I do agree with some other reviewers that cheese level could've been higher, but this was likely the result of significant melting and incorporation on the grill as 5+ slices were used.
google avatar

Martin M.

Yelp
Had a slice of cheese pizza and a small Caesar salad. The pizza was extremely greasy so much that it seeped through the paper bag it was in. Cheap cheese. The crust was soggy with grease. Threw half of it away. The salad had no green in it. All that for $15. Never again.

Yelp
By George! has so much delicious looking pre-made and made to order food in their location in Reading Terminal Market. Their line was bumping (but efficient), especially for cheesesteaks. I heard multiple folks in line raving about the cheesesteaks. But I don't eat meat, so I was looking for a veggie option. I tried the eggplant parmigiana with spaghetti. The spaghetti was quite tasty, as was their marinara. However, I didn't like the eggplant. The cheese was pretty bland, and the eggplant was cut too thick, which makes it tough and not crisp. The breading kind of broke into globs when I ate it. PS: The portions are massive, so you can definitely share if you are going for the Italian food. I would go for pasta or lasagna here, or a cheesesteak because that seemed to be the most popular item on their menu. Skip the eggplant.
google avatar

Rebecca C.

Yelp
Very very busy place but worth the wait! Food is fresh and delicious. I had the Milano sandwich which was very tasty, but I did feel it could've had a little more meat on it, could be because I decided to split it with another person, not sure. The fries with cheese was large portion and very good! I've been here before and everything I ever had was good. I never tried the cheesesteaks but I hear they are absolutely delicious! Definitely on my lift for the future!

From yelp reviews I decided to try this place for another option for cheesesteaks! They had a special for a cheesesteak and fries for 15$ so my friend and I got that to split + 2 waters. It took awhile for the cheesesteak to come out but it came super hot! We got a lot of fries with our order which was great but def. Needed some salt and pepper. Luckily they give you ketchup packets to go with the fries. Cheesesteak was okay. Really like the hoagie bread it came on. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The meat was thinly sliced steak and we got provolone cheese melted inside with onions. The steak was a bit bland even though the quality of the meat was pretty good. Overall it's just an okay sandwich. Still on the quest for the best cheesesteak in Philly !

Yelp
Located in Reading market so it gets busy and there is no nearby seating. I got a plan Philly cheesesteak and it was pretty delicious. The line moves quickly. There are probably better spots in Philly and this one is pretty touristy but still good.

Yelp
By George! Is a good pizza and Italian food restaurant in the Reading Terminal Market in downtown Philadelphia. Their prices are reasonable and staff is friendly. During lunch they are busy so expect to wait a bit. They offer a great variety of food and pizzas! Their tomato deep dish is great. Definitely a place to checkout!
