"Byblos is a Mediterranean restaurant that feels very South Beach - but sadly not in a good way. It’s expensive, a place people mainly come to be seen, and you will be charged for water regardless if you’re actually OK with tap or not. There’s seating on the first floor, which just looks like a plain old hotel lobby. Upstairs is a better place to sit, though it still resembles a cross between a nightclub and ancient Egypt. The food here consists of things like manti dumplings, crispy artichokes, and a selection of tiny Turkish pides that really need to be bigger. None of it will make you furious, but it will leave you signing the check with a decent level of regret. RESERVE A TABLE WITH RESERVE A TABLE" - Ryan Pfeffer
"The Eastern Mediterranean hotspot, Byblos, offers a back-room lounge area and private event space with a capacity for up to 75 guests. Available for receptions, seated dinners, and private after-parties, the room features its own private entrance, large bar area, and DJ booth with an LED screen backdrop." - Juliana Accioly
"A meal at Byblos is about as close to living like Middle Eastern royalty as most of us will get, settling into plush, oversized chairs and couches and enjoying epic portions of black truffle rice, sujuk pide flatbreads, and a lime-zested fried chicken. After your feast, head downstairs to Byblos’ swanky low-ceiling lounge, where you can dance off some of your dinner while imbibing in a menu of sneaky good cocktails. Ask for Teremana in The Ottoman Cartel, made with spiced barberry reduction, carbonated beet juice, and edible marigold flowers, for an unusual flavor you might just fall in love with." - Matthew Meltzer
"Inside the Royal Palm South Beach and up a small flight of stairs, you’ll find this Middle Eastern restaurant with some of the most generous portions in the city. Come to Byblos hungry, and kick off your meal in plush surroundings with Turkish dumplings or duck kibbeh. The fried chicken with tahini, zaatar, and hot sauce can feed as many as four people; for something slightly lighter, order the black truffle rice with foraged mushrooms and crème fraiche. If you need a break to digest, order an Old Cuban with Santa Teresa 1796, Champagne, lime, and angostura bitters, and sip it while your appetite catches up." - Matthew Meltzer
"Byblos always has a stellar Miami Spice offering, which certainly didn’t disappoint this year. The Meditterean-leaning South Beah restaurant offers a nightly Spice menu for $45 a person. Its three-course menu lets guests pick two appetizers to start, like the lamb ribs or the spinach pide, followed by choice of entree (the fried chicken is a can’t miss) and wrapped with three different dessert options." - Alona Martinez
