Major waste of time. Took 2 weeks to get a call back. A couple properties were pretty nasty. The one we were ready to sign a lease on the realty said he would call us back in 30 min to answer the last question we had and then never called. Tried to reach him numerous times and he just ghosted us. Wasted tons of time and energy.

This low rating has nothing to do with Peter Gordon and his excellent, kind customer service throughout helping us find an apartment. My roommate accidentally locked herself out today. Considering everyone else is home for the holidays, she walked down to Gallucci realty to inquire about any possible help on gaining access back into our apartment (considering our keys say C. Galluci Realty directly on them). The man working (not sure of his name) was incredibly aggressive and rude when telling her he could not help. I called soon after to double check, and was immediately met with the same hostility and aggression. I understand that C. Gallucci Realty was not able to help us retrieve entry into our apartment, but can that not be said without raising your voice? This customer service in general is shameful, but especially towards a young woman locked out of her apartment who is simply seeking possible help. She received help thanks to our apartment's management answering soon after she left. Again, I understand there was nothing C. Galluci Realty could do for her, but next time, it would be appreciated if that was delivered with any form of decency or respect.

I lived at 1353 W Taylor in 2007 and I woke up one morning to them installing prison bars on my window. You can still see it from the street!

Unsolicited endorsement and long overdue. I've worked with Peter multiple times and not only is his knowledge of the Chicago neighborhoods uncanny, his commitment to his clients' best interests goes above and beyond what you would hope to expect from a realtor.

Carmen, his wife, and Pete are the best! I’ve lived in Little Italy for over 10 years now, and I couldn’t be more pleased with them! A++

Hey, I am looking for houses near UIC campus and I came to your office around 4PM but it was locked. I am interested in some of your properties around the campus. Can we discuss further?

This poor rating has nothing to do with the property and everything to do with only one of the employees. This guy was so rude and condescending that he ruined it for the entire company.

Yelp
5 stars for my main man Peter! I'll start my review off by answering some question marks some people may have based off of some of the previous reviews. Are responses to text instant? No. Did that affect the quality of Peter's communication skills? No. We live in an instant, consumer society world. With that being said, when we are dealing with individuals, we should always bare in mind that they are just that - indivuals. While work is how we sustain ourselves, we still (hopefully) have lives outside of work. Peter had assured us before applying for the place that he would hold the unit for us so long as our applications were approved by the landlord. Peter was true to his word. We viewed the placed, were leased up and moved in with just 5 days left of our apartment search. While responses weren't instant, results were. We didn't have to go through any arbitrary, extensive, application process. It was quick, easy, and sufficient... which was great for our busier schedules. The unit, and landlord he set us up with are amazing! We are so happy with our move - and are so grateful to have found Peter while searching for an apartment. If we decide to someday purchase a home, we will definitely reach back out to Peter. *****As a final note, As a young professional and POC, it's often times hard to deal with agents. I have had agents tell me that units were no longer available upon meeting me, and seeing that I was brown. (Despite me having good credit, and a great salary). The reason I am adding this to my review, is to let all my fellow poc professionals know that Peter is a safe person. I recommend working with him. It's hard to find agents that are with it, and Peter is definitely with it! I hope this review helps someone else find their dream apartment/home in the Second City.

Yelp
We've worked with Gallucci Realty to buy, sell, and rent properties. We keep coming back because of the unparalleled service. Realtor Pete Gordon is great at what he does. He knows the area inside and out, and will work tirelessly to meet your needs. Gallucci Realty has my family's strong endorsement! Thank you.

Yelp
Not having good vibes or goof response from Pete so far. Doesn't return calls or emails until I follow-up. Not worth the headache of chasing someone around to take my money! My husband and I have decided to pass on this brokerage.

Yelp
Pete. Pete. Pete. I mean, I am speechless. Really. Are there little heart icons I can stick in here? Pete was our agent buying our house. I have never had so much fun touring houses. He loooves his job, every aspect, he can't get enough, so I mean....I seriously am speechless. I will admit, we attempted to go with a previous realtor we used in the past and ya know, I think what happens is some realtors are only good for one specific task. It worked out for the best because Pete blows every other realtor out of the water. From beginning to end, he's there for you any time any day, all the way through. Hire him. Now. And tell your friends too.

Yelp
If you don't care about reading your lease or any papers and just want things done quickly, then this place is probably okay. If you do, I would highly recommend finding some other place if you can. I worked with Peter Gordon, and he was a pretty rude and unprofessional person. He started off great. Then once it was time to sign papers, he wanted me and my cosigner to sign a document saying that he provided several other documents to us (when he never did). He said he will send them later, but wanted us to sign the document right away in order to "expedite the process." Anyone should know that signing a document before reading it is utterly stupid. After we asked to see the other documents first, Peter got defensive and was downright rude. Only after threatening that I'll be backing out, he apologized. Was he having a bad day? Possibly. Is he just rude to students? Possibly. Was he acting professionally? Definitely not. Since I didn't want to keep apartment-hunting, I signed the lease anyway. A few months later, there were issues with the apartment to the point that it was not livable. Peter said that it was very livable and said I can't get out of the lease early. Rather than dealing with him, I went to student legal services to get their opinion. It was 100% NOT livable, and they were able to help me get out of the lease. I didn't have to deal with Peter anymore since they took care of everything. Thank goodness for legal services.

Yelp
Carm sold my house within a few days in Heart of Chicago. They are realtor experts. We also rented an apt from them for our college son at UIC. Great landlords. Apartment newly painted and cleaned before move in! Great personal service!

Yelp
My experience with the agent Carmen was terrible. Rude and unprofessional, no respect with others, didn't listen my questions and interrupted me a few times. Just terrible, save your time, talk with other agents.

Yelp
I went through Craigs list looking for a place to live and ended going to an apartment that was not all that great but its where I met Pete, an agent with Gallucci Realty. I wasn't entirely convinced I wanted the apartment that he showed me but I was willing to see it again sans all the construction materials/boxes lying around. I emailed him and set up another appointment and also asked if he knew of any other properties. He said he knew of another basement apartment with in-unit laundry. I was skeptical but I went to check it out and fell in LOVE! It was everything I wanted minus the price but he worked with the landlords to drop the rent by $50/mnth! Awesome!! I cannot say enough about this place, they really go above and beyond to work with your budget and get you the place of your dreams. Thanks Gallucci!

Yelp
This guy is a slumlord you should see his apartments.....violation after violation!! The owner and his wife are rude I went in to look at apartments but I think my skin was to dark they avoided me like the plague go to new west realty they are professional and courteous friendly people not like this place they look like the Adams family!!!!

Yelp
Unprofessional, rude, condescending- not a company I would ever bother with. My experience with attempting to give them business- in one word- horrendous. Plenty of honest realty companies out there. This is not one of them.

Yelp
We've been renters now with the Gallucci's for 4 years. We're relocating now, which is the only reason why we won't be renting from them any longer. 4 years ago, when we were desperate to find a place quickly, Pete got us in to see apartments on a Sunday, last minute. He was thorough, honest, and didn't make us feel pressured at all. We ended up going with an apartment that we've stayed in for 4 years. He was even there to help us when we considered moving into a bigger place. We've had our fair share of not-so-great neighbors living above and below us (just very noisy). The Gallucci's helped us to resolve those issues and have always been friendly and fair to us. When the issue of renewals or subletting came up, there was no wiggle room with them at all. However, they were always clearly within the rights of the lease. They weren't rude about it or anything, it's just how it was. They've been doing this a long time and I'm sure been burned by giving leeway, so its understandable. Overall, we've had a great experience with them. I've recommended them to several of our friends.

Yelp
I've had ups and downs with the Gallucci's. The owners Mary and Carmen are nice people, if you have questions they are always willing to answer them. That's what I thought when I was apartment hunting. I am a pretty easy tenant, I don't ask for much from my landlords but if I do its usually something that is of concern. That brings me to my heating situation. My room mate and I set our thermostat at 70 degrees thinking that should be warm enough. Back at home, my dad sets the thermostats at 70 as well and we are all warm. For some reason, the main room where the furnace is located is warm but both bedrooms are pretty cold. I called about it, and my room mate called too, but neither of them are willing to solve the problem. Carmen actually said, "That's impossible!" I'm sorry if you don't believe it, but obviously since I live in the apartment I would know. I have one more year at UIC and i'm not staying where I live now. I don't want anything to do with any of there properties.

Yelp
One of the worst renting experiences I have ever had. The Galluci's will take you for every penny you've got. Don't expect to get your deposit back, and everyone at the office is extremely rude (and pretty unintelligent). All of their properties are overpriced and aren't taken care of. Do not rent from these people! Instead, try the DiPalos on Taylor Street, or Pilsen Realty.

Richard R.

Yelp
I've seen several rental properties from this realty company. I've called several times and left messages. They never answer the phone or return phone calls. That's terrible service.

Yelp
Thank GOD for Gallucci Realty: Carmen, Mary and esp Peter Gordon !!! Great and really honest people! Seriously, if you need any help selling/buying/renting, don't hesitate to ask Pete Gordon. Pete knows Little Italy/UIC/medical district like no one else and also all the ins and outs of a home! Peter was very helpful to me as I had plans to sell my home. Most selling realtors probably make easy money by just listing it in MLS and putting a lockbox to it. But Peter was there in the whole process in making my home remodeling recommendations from changing my house wall colors, bathroom tile, and garden landscape ideas. If you see all of peter's house listings, they are taken by a professional photographers and they all look sharp. I had plans of selling my home but when I wanted the possibility of renting my home , Peter was able to come to the rescue by finding great exceptional and quality tenants. Pete seems to know a lot of people in the area and grew up in the area. I have worked with a lot of realtors and Pete seem outstanding. He was a pleasure to work with.

Yelp
They made everything super easy for us. They have fantastic customer service, and they are extremely friendly. They know they are dealing with students so they explain everything thoroughly and don't pressure you into signing a lease like other people will. If you are looking for a place around the UIC/Little Italy area, this is the place to start.

Yelp
I have dealt with an unfortunate experience with Carmen. I was sincerely disappointed in his behavior in front of clients to say the least as I am in the industry and was trying to show a listing of his. Its very sad/disappointing when broker to broker there is a conflict, and my clients overheard the entire very aggressive rude conversation. It was our fault for being a few mins behind schedule but we had been up front with the timing the entire length of the day, to be screamed at over the phone in front of my very nice clients was beyond unproffessional. They have chosen to avoid the listing all together & not reschedule due to the aggressive/rude broker. I cannot imagine the seller would be too keen to hear about that and that showings are not happening because of the inappropriate and negative behavior of his representative broker. Please find a more professional and well behaved broker if you need to sell your home! I would not trust this brokerage.
