Cabot Creamery Store - Waterbury

The cheese shop is large and nicely decorated and they offer some samples to try. They also surprisingly have a small but decent wine selection at reasonable prices. The cheese itself was not good at all to my taste. Among the 5 kinds I tried I wanted to purchase 0 of them and even though I like British cheddar, their cheddar did not match my taste unfortunately

I’ve tossed plenty of Cabot blocks into my grocery cart over the years, so since the store was right on our route, a pit stop felt mandatory. I’d always assumed Cabot was just a large cheese conglomerate, but I learned from the store that it was actually a co-op fueled by a network of local New England farms. The store carried the expected Cabot-branded goodies alongside some cheeses I hadn’t seen elsewhere. We took advantage of the free tasting, and the Wildly Horseradish cheddar and aged cheddar were both especially good. We grabbed a few blocks of that and everything came packed in a sturdy, reusable branded bag. Definitely worth a brake check if you’re driving through the area.

We visited the Cabot Creamery while traveling in Vermont. I was pleasantly surprised with the vast selection of cheese and other items available. Since where we live on a few varieties are available. It was nice to try a few additional additional ones and some pairings to go with the cheese. We definitely enjoyed visiting and shopping here. I definitely recommend stopping if you are in the area.

We Love Cabot cheese. When I was young when we traveled through Vermont we would always stop at the small convenience general stores and they always had a huge block of Cabot sharp cheddar cheese. The cheese is as good today as in the past. I also applaud that Cabot is a farmer cooperative. We need to support our farmers.

Yummy cheese! Visit time in Vermont and I wasn’t familiar with the brand before but was excited to visit this store on recommendation by many. The store was well organized with a little merch shop to the left when you entered, then to the right they had an area with gift items, wine, charcuterie items and a few delicious cheese & spreads samples out to enjoy (horseradish was very tasty - habanero was fantastic but HOT!) We grabbed the vintage choice and 10 yr aged along with some popcorn.

I personally love that Cabot has their own shop! I’m not from the area and it’s nice to see a brand I’m familiar with, but as a store! I had no idea they had so many different types of cheese. Here, you can get them all! They also have merch, wine, samples, a full cheese case with other local cheeses, gifts, etc. a great little stop when in the area.

Great stop for us during our trip!! We love Cabot cheese and this visit was heavenly!!! Bought items we haven’t seen in our area!!! Great selection of cheeses and other items!!!
