Puerto Rico After Hurricane Maria: Restaurants Overcome Hardships to Forge On | Eater

"A community-oriented coffee house that opened just before Hurricane Maria and was able to reopen about three weeks later once power returned, quickly becoming a local hub where people used Wi‑Fi, accessed water, played games, and connected during the crisis. The owners were active in relief efforts—helping to deliver food to roughly 2,000 families—and emphasize job creation (the shop employs about 15 people), a diverse menu that includes wraps and salads to attract students, elders, and visitors, and the goal of serving as a welcoming "third place" between work and home while exploring expansion beyond the island." - Mariela Santos

Traveling from Florida- and happy to find this amazing place. Parking was a little challenging but worth it! Loved the decoration and atmosphere. Service was great and food (specially the Majorca sandwich and caramel macchiato) was beyond our expectations. Highly recommend!

Ate all the food, healthy options! For my holistic community; they use stainless steel cookware but the butter has seed oils. Really calm and cozy atmosphere, the drinks are a little overpriced for my taste. Bathrooms aren’t ADA friendly but work well!

The food in this place is really good and fell fresh. The drinks and the coffee are awesome. We order a fresh Orange Juice that was really great , a passion fruit that was good too. The food was awesome , Well plated with really good flavor. The service are good but can improve for better , and is a little bit pricier but we think is because the food is made from fresh ingredients. We recommend the place if you're looking for really fresh food and a good place to visit.

nice place modern feel to it. Food was very delicious but waiter didnt pay attention to details on my order. And the wait to get our food after ordering was ridiculously long for our simple order for 2. Others who came 10 mins after us were served first and left before us.

Terrible place. The actual space looked very nice but that is it. We ordered for 6 people 4 orders cam out after 20 minutes and the other 2 never came out. Asked for bacon and they were out, a breakfast spot and no bacon. The food was so-so and the coffee was like water. After waiting about 10-15 more minutes i asked about the orders for me and my son. Nothing. And after seeing other people who came in way after us get served i had to ask for a refund and leave . Would never step foot in this place again

fantastic coffee shop that left a lasting impression. The space had a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere, with artistic wall decor and clothing for sale featuring the company’s logo. It was clearly a popular spot for college students, as I noticed two separate groups enjoying their time there. The seating areas were well-designed for relaxation and socializing. I ordered a cold chocolate milk, and while walking around, I appreciated the open kitchen setup, which added a sense of transparency and trust. The shop also offers local coffee, making it a great place to support the community. Though I only stopped by for a quick treat, I’m eager to return and try their meals. Discovering unique, local spots like this is always a joy!

My sister had told me about this place and she was not wrong when she suggested it to me. I loved the place. The staff is very attentive, the coffee is very rich and the mayorca sandwich is also very good. With closed eyes I would recommend this place.

Ok let me start off by saying this, it's a cute small spot to be "hip" and be on your laptop for hours like most cafes but this place isn't a rave. I was really let down after seeing the pics and expecting something amazing. My mom and I arrived and we were greeted by our amazing and friendly waitress Sébastien. He offered us drinks right away but we told him we'd wait for our food. Once ordered my mom and I literally waited over 40 min for eggs and French toast! My mom joked with him and asked did the cook go and get the chicken for the egg? Lighthearted of course and he laughed. We waited a little more but once we saw that 4 people that arrived 20 min after we did got their 4 plates first my mom was upset and wanted to leave. A young lady whom she wasn't addressing while my mom was telling our waitress that we would like to pay for our coffee and leave butted in and told my mom with an attitude "you see the kitchen right? There is one cook in there so you have to be patient" which my mom responded no there was 2 cooks in there one of them just left to go home (which he had) I'm assuming they made 7 plates and waited to bring them out all together but that's not right because then other people's food gets cold. We decided to stay only because we were starving and our food arrived. Now I was expecting the brioche French toast to be actual slices but they gave me a hamburger bun 😑 for French toast and my eggs were super crispy I asked for over easy. My mom's omelet was cold! We ate and when Sébastien came to give us our receipt he apologized for the inconvenience and my mom said it's fine it's not you you were amazing and gave him a nice tip. Overall it's cute and if you like to wait around and stuff on a laptop where you don't notice the time it takes to have your food brought out then this place is for you. Oh and there was a girl there before us who got her quesedillas after us, crazy.
