Where to Find Regional Mexican Cuisine Represented Around Dallas | Eater Dallas

"Focuses on cabrito al pastor—butterflied, spit-roasted kid goat cooked over wood coals—where diners can watch the roasting behind glass; patrons can choose cuts like lower back, leg, kidney or riñonada (adjacent meat), and enjoy the meat’s subtle gaminess and wood-fired flavor." - José R. Ralat

Don’t go anywhere else for your cabrito needs!! They are so GOOD and the portions are huge!! Definitely 1 feeds more than 6. I’m not a big fan of cabrito but my husband wanted to try it out and definitely did not disappoint! The bone marrow is like butter 10/10!

Everything was good till I seen the extra charges on the bill. For example convenience fee for every item and liquor fee all these fees came out to $40.00. Make sure to check your bill and if you see these charges have them take it off. The waitress was amazing.

I went in on a Tuesday about 5:45 pm they had 3 tables including myself a total of 6 customers. I saw at least 6 staff members on the floor 3 sitting, 2 working tables and 1 at bar. Customer service is not good not even fair. Waitress placed the chips and salsa diagonally across from me like she didn’t want to wait on me even when she placed my food it was like she slid it to me. Not once did she check on me. When I wanted to pay I had to walk up to the front to get rung up. Tables and menus need cleaning. Atmosphere is nice. Both salsas they bring with chips are good, chips not really my taste to thick. I had the tacos of kid goat and they were really good corn tortillas were soft, not greasy nor thin. The meat was juicy, tender and seasoned just right. The first bite of rice was soft but salty and as I took my second bite hard, dry rice as you’ll see in picture. Beans to me tasted a bit sour. I will give them another try this time on a Friday evening.

First time visiting, I am from MTY so this visit was special to me. It was a solo visit. My server was Daniela, attentive and helpful, thank you for that. I order a beer and their chicharrón de ribeye, like a good regia that has visit Los Cavazos and La carretera nacional, I was disappointed when I saw there were no home made tortillas… BUT the tortillas I was served were soft and hot so…. No complaint! I ofcourse was full with my appetizer.. but I wanted to try something else. So I order a parrillada for two TO GO so I could share it with my son and maybe packed lunch…. I get home, we open the parrillada….. the beans and rice were nothing to be Impressed by… the parrillada plate looked delish! UNTIL my son took a bite of one of the shrimp’s… they smelled funny and felt like mashed potatoes….. because the food is a bit pricey I called and asked to get some kind of discount-refund since the shrimps weee going to be trashed… I was told they would call me back within 10 min. The lady did, the manager was out sick… but they said that in order to get a discount I should drive back and bring the sickly looking shrimps back to them. I decline the offer since I live a good 30 min away with no traffic. The manager was apparently in contact with the staff while they were talking to me. So she said no refund without me going all the way back to return the sick shrimp they sold me. So the manager who is out sick did respond to my txt message (Angeles, thank you for taking the time to respond) and said that next time I go I could get a parrillada for two without shrimp and wouldn’t have to pay for it. -M

First time at this place and I loved it. I will definitely be back here. I recommend anyone around the Dallas area to come visit this restaurant. The food was delicious and staff were amazing. So many options to choose from but everything is so good.

Best Mexican food I've ever had! And finally got a chance to try lamb from Monterey & it was outstanding! The service was over-the-top. The mariachi band was amazing. The music was fantastic even for a gringo like me who doesn't even know Spanish it was very enjoyable! Would highly highly recommend!!

We walked right in and were seated with no wait time. The place is big so it fits large parties. The service was fast. But above all the food was delicious. It was my first time there and I definitely will be going back to try other things. Their menu has various options and I need to try them all. 😋

Food was good, service was amazing, probably more of a dinner spot on a Friday or Saturday but Friday lunch was delicious and the live music was a surprise. Will definitely be back at dinner time to try again.
