Check in room had no heat. Sends a maintenance man to “fix” tells us we can go out & when we got back it would be fix. Um no, we just walked around over 5 hours we needed a hotel room at this point. So they give us another room, this one had no heat either. Finally got a third room & I notice each room didn’t have a fridge, safe, or even a phone to call down to the front desk. You have to call on your cell & most of the time the 24 hour front desk help won’t answer. Booked this weekend for my husband & I’s 5 year anniversary & our final day we have NO HOT WATER IN OUR ROOM!!! This was my last straw, I can’t even shower before I have to spend the day running around the city until our flight tonight. Will not be coming back for my 10 year anniversary. So disappointed. So unprofessional with maintenance men randomly coming into our room to check things we never ask for? I don’t feel safe staying here. They don’t even lock the room where they keep your luggage. Welcome to New York. Don’t stay here, pay the extra money or stay away from Times Square. Also rooms are NOT sound proof since they are on top of a club with bass going all night. Oh the second room they tried giving me has a space heater! Stay classy new York!

This hotel is weird. It looked like our hotel room was half made. It was missing bedside tables and chairs and the heat didn’t work in late November. Someone left their old conditioner in the bathroom which was odd. Women walking around the hallways in undergarments. No phone in the room to call front desk. Pricy hotel for a very strange experience

Pros: *The front desk staff are super nice and super helpful. * The hotel is extremely quiet. * The patio is very cute and very peaceful. * Several quiet spaces scattered about the hotel, perfect for someone "working from home." * A great location to head in any direction around the city. 10-20min walking distance from subways and some “must see/must do” things around the city. * Staff was very attentive to bringing me ice! I'm an athlete, and I would train everyday while I was here and needed to ice my muscles after. They were wonderful about bringing me buckets of ice multiple times a day when I asked for it. Cons: *Not the cleanest. I set my clothes down on the floor to take a shower and when I picked them up they were covered in dust. *AC is terrible. I called 3 times across 3 separate days for someone to come and fix my AC unit or be moved to another room. The temp in my room was 79. I was assured that "the technician will be right up." He only came one time. After 10pm when I was already asleep. I did however manage to "fix" the problem myself when one evening the entire facade covering the AC unit fell clean off and nearly gave me a heart attack! Then I figured out that I would just have to flip a switch on the unit itself every hour or so to reset it and it would blow cold air again. Can definitely tell by the cobwebs and lost socks/medication in there that the into hadn't been serviced in decades. *No fan in the bathroom. No curtain or anything either. Just a glass half-partition on the wrong side. Can def tell it was designed by a man (IYKYK). *Elevator makes rather unsettling sounds. *The place is truly a labyrinth. The escape room of hotels. Nothing makes sense.

Google
The hotel staff are friendly and I found the common area and room to be clean. There are some things I liked about the hotel and did not. See below. Pros: - Central location that’s easy to go uptown or downtown from - Bathroom was a decent size - Lobby coffee machine - Late checkout was offered Cons: - Noise is an issue as the room window opens to the hallway - Room could have been brighter - Unfortunately no early check-in offered

Had a nice stay this past week. Really cool lobby. Spacious room with character. :) Staff was wonderful. I liked the shampoo and conditioner, was amazing for my hair. Great location with everything close by but quiet. Definitely recommend.

This is a perfect example where you shouldn’t always believe reviews. This is a GREAT hotel. The check-in and check-out took 2 minutes. The staff was efficient and polite 💯 My room was clean and beautiful with a huge bathroom 🚿 It really felt like home ! The only very small downside is that I had to pay 2$ in cash for them to keep my suitcase the day I left. It’s very cheap so it was appreciated 👍🏼 but most tourists don’t use cash when they travel, so I had to withdraw 50$ + bank fees just to pay these 2$. I just wished I had this info before my arrival 🙃 Deposit was returned 24 hours after I left, so before bashing this lovely hotel, keep in mind your bank might just be slow.

Google
You can hear anyone in hallway talking as if they were in room with you. Shower is tile and as soon as it gets wet it is very slippery. No ice machines so if you don't get ice before 11 your out of luck. Had an event to attend rooms do not have irons or boards in rooms. They offer to check your bags after checkout, but there is a fee. Because of shower do not recommend staying her if you are up there in age or have limited mobility. I'm a bigger guy and was very cautious getting in and out myself. Hotel is very modern with amazing art and decor though.

Google
The only reason I'm not giving this one star is because the front staff was very helpful and nice and made an extra effort to look for a gold chain. I stayed last August (one year ago), and unfortunately had this gold chain stolen at the hotel. The head of the cleaning staff was generally unresponsive and told me a case was started but there was never any follow up and while the front desk was helpful it was hard to get to the cleaning staff or get any sort of follow up. It must have been stolen by a member of the cleaning staff, because no one else was in the hotel room. The rooms itself are dark, and the windows face a courtyard. The desk has a stool so if you plan on doing any work this isn't the place for you.

Yelp
Now known as Hudson Yards Hotel. For the record, our room DID have working heat and hot water. I messaged their guest relations email address listed on their website multiple times, asking about it, but they didn't respond. I was able to get around their automated phone system and talked to an employee that confirmed the heating and hot water was working. We got a great value for the location, booking through Priceline. It's close to many points of interest, Port Authority transit, and a 24 hour convenience store. The staff were very courteous. The room was nice. Amenities included a counter next to the window, with a stool and minifridge underneath, a nice big bed, dimmable lighting, and TV with Amazon Firestick. There was no closet or place to hang clothes, no iron, and no safe. It would've been nice if there was an additional table and chair/couch in the empty space on the other side of the bed. Our room had a handwritten thank you card, 2 flavored sparkling waters, and chocolate treats. The lobby has a pool table, microwave, coffee, water, and more sparkling waters and chocolate treats. It would've been nice if they had umbrella bags at the entrance. There's a courtyard on the 2nd floor, but it was inaccessible, and the 1st floor has a big unused space where a bar and restaurant used to be. We requested housekeeping, they never came, and it upset my girlfriend. Simone at the front desk was very apologetic, and gave us gift cards for Starbucks and the deli across the street. She offered us a late 1pm checkout, but housekeeping and another employee at the front desk didn't get the memo. They knocked on our door 2 different times and said we might be charged for another night if we didn't checkout by noon. Other than that it was a pleasant experience.

Yelp
Is it on the verge of bankruptcy? That's what it feels like. No signage, hard to find (despite the fact that I used to live a block away) The reception's systems are slow and not working. The rooms are shabby, furniture in bathrooms looks like it's falling apart, AC doesn't seem to be controllable. This is a roadside motel and nothing more despite being in Hell's Kitchen. The rooms layout on the second floor are weird too, with windows that lead into the hallway making it really feel like a motel. The central open patio though looks cool and fun but in December- it is closed.

Yelp
This hotel is now known as the Hudson Yards Hotel. I understand if you stay here and only need to sleep. However, as a frequent traveler I hate when a hotel does not notify you that it is either under construction or the lack there of. I also have a problem when there is no bar, no restaurant, no gift shop or nowhere to at least buy a bottle of water. I think for hotels to ask for $256 per night with NO amenities is absolutely ludicrous. I understand, since Covid, alarm clocks and telephones were removed from rooms. However when there's something wrong with the room and they don't answer my personal phone, and you have to walk downstairs countless times for something to be fixed is where I too have a problem. Did I get a good nights sleep? I did. However, I was also upset and notified the front desk at check out, that I was unhappy to have a room facing what seemed to me as the loudest street in the neighborhood. Not to mention I passed countless empty rooms. This hotel reminds me that prior to booking another hotel, I will check all reviews first.

Art V.

Yelp
The staff was very nice and the hotel is about a mile from Time Square - My room was not very clean - hair every where. When I showed them they removed the resort fee.

Andrea R.

Yelp
Very central located, but For the price I'm not impressed or to happy about it. We had to have the maintenance come twice to fix our toilet because it wouldn't stop running. Our fridge didn't work so they did bring us a new one but left the old one and the new one unplugged, and in the middle of the room. If you haven't been to New York, the hotel rooms are not that big so needless to say we had to pick it up and moving around just to get through the room. Sad to have to say but it is what it is. Will probably not be back if I can help if.

Jatara I.

Yelp
Where do I start. When you first walk in expect homeless people to be sleeping right outside the hotel. I know this is NYC and homeless people are everyone but for some reason I wasn't expecting to see this. The Hotel is very dull and dark when you walk in. I must say. I wasn't a fan of the stay but the Hospitality I received was just spot on and the reason why I decided to stay and not checkout and stay someone where else. The question is would I stay here again. No but it's new ownership and I believe that she is turning that Hotel around for the better, just give it time. She has a lot of changes to make and she is very well aware of it.

Yelp
This hotel, now rebranded as Urban Resort, was a horrible experience. IT IS RIGHT NEXT TO A NIGHT CLUB! The main hallway has multiple doors that connect directly to the club. We got stuck on the first floor and both nights we stayed the floor was shaking and the music was consistently loud until 4am. The second night, on top of the music, the fire alarm came on around 12am and persisted for an hour or more, with no communication from the staff. On top of that, if you book through air bnb you have to pay 14% taxes of your total stay when you arrive. You also have to pay extra fees if you want a fridge or other small amenities in your room, only one roll of toilet paper was given, you have to ask for a do not disturb sign to be put on your door by housekeeping, the ac unit did not work (we set it as low as 54 degrees and the temperature in the room went up to 74) and it never got better, and the floors were absolutely DISGUSTING. The bottom of our socks were black after walking on the floor for 10 minutes when we first arrived. Thankfully the bed was clean, but there were only two pillows. The room was not even close to the pictures at all, however the bathroom was decent, yet the sink smelled like rotten eggs/sewage. Would not recommend this place to literally anyone if you want to have a good night of sleep and clean/fresh experience.

Yelp
My experience at Cachet is markedly different from what I've read on other reviews, both to my surprise and disappointment. I got this room as a last minute deal on Expedia. Even with its obscene $35 resort fee, the bottomline was still a great deal compared to neighbouring properties. I chose this hotel because of its walking distance up and down Hells Kitchen's 10th Ave and the Signature Theater just across the block. My room was very acceptable. I noticed however that there wasn't really a suitable place for me to put down my suitcase - no rack. In the showers there was no Shower Gel so I used my own. I had heard that the rooms would be really noisy either from the street outside or the nightclub next door. I had a restful night's sleep and 42nd St was never all that busy. I had also heard that the "breakfast was great". Absolutely not. It was continental in every sense (look up wht Demetri Martin says about Continental Breakfasts). I barely had a bite, but grabbed myself a fruit. So in sum, don't come for the breakfast but if it's a good deal, you can't go too wrong.

Yelp
Really neat NYC hotel! Staff was wonderful, thanks for holding our luggage safely before and after our stay while we explored. Awesome vibes throughout...unique artwork displayed down the halls, lobby and in the room. Huge bathroom w walk-in shower and rainfall style shower head. Green courtyard w epic mural on interior of hotel. Felt super safe in hotel during whole stay. They no longer charge the additional resort fee. Whole interior of hotel was looked festive and decorated for holidays!

Yelp
I eecently stayed in this subpar hotel. For the fee it charged at. $350 a night, it was embarrassing. Where do I start? First, our room had a portable air conditioner that was so loud that you could not sleep. A hose was connected outside that did not allow complete closure of the blinds that made us visible from the outside. There are limited plugs for the devices. The floors in the room felt sandy, clearly no cleaning was done. The bathroom floors and glass were moldy. The bathroom floor still had hair. Their towels were sparse and rough. The staff were touch and go. Overall, the hotel room was filthy, smelly, uncomfortable. Will not recommend this hotel.

Yelp
Me and my husband were looking to make last min reservations and notices rooms weren't available for a day of our visit. A quick call and talk to Miriam and she made it happen and helped us out immensely! We got a beautiful outdoor jr suite the service at the desk for check in was super pleasant and near wonderful bars and the edge! will definitely be visiting again

Yelp
I must say that in general, my impressions of the hotel were positive. We arrived at the hotel after 11 pm, and we were greeted very warmly, they told us everything, offered discounts for restaurants and more. Everything was great. Of course, I forgot about the hotel fee, which wasn't included in my payment via Expedia, but I already used it in Manhattan. When we entered the room, we were shocked by how beautiful the room was. If you do not peer into the details (I will return to this later), then, in general, the room is very unusual and differs from most hotels in NY. Everything is stylish, beautiful furniture (at first glance), a fantastic bathroom, a bathrobe in the closet (unfortunately, only one), FIJI water. Everything looks great. We were super tired and just fell asleep. In the morning, waking up and hungry, we headed for breakfast. And here the fun begins. Entering the room, we were shocked by a very modest choice. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos, because it didn't fit in my head that such breakfasts exist at all. There were about 5-6 types of pastries, bagels, and bread with butter and cream cheese, boiled eggs, fresh fruits, small jars of yogurt, breakfast cereal, milk, juice, coffee, tea. And that's it. No scrambled eggs, no sausages, no hot porridge, NOTHING that will enable your body to function in the morning. To say that we were disappointed is to say nothing. Then I decided to check the reservation and did not find any information about my breakfast, except that it was included. Then we checked booking.com, and it said that the price includes breakfast equal to $ 30.00 per person from the menu in the restaurant on the ground floor. But we did not even have breakfast in the restaurant, but in a small room with 8-10 tables. Our wonderful impression disappeared somewhere. Back at the hotel, we spent the evening at Treadwell Park West Restaurant. HERE IT WAS UNFORGETTABLE !! But for the restaurant, I will leave a separate review. As I wrote above, we did not immediately pay attention to the details in the room, but then I saw a chip on the dresser. And later on the other. And then I saw that all the furniture in the room was old and damaged. The room itself looks very fresh and stylish, I do not deny this, but I advise the management to take care of their furniture because it spoils the idea of the hotel very much. In general, I have a double impression - I liked the style and comfort of the room, but for me, breakfast is the most important meal, and this breakfast is not breakfast at all. Most likely, I will prefer a hotel where I will be sure of the quality of service, as, in NY, I spend most of my time outside the hotel.

Yelp
Stayed here during their transition weekend from The Out Hotel to Cachet Boutique. I was a bit skeptical of our stay here from all the negative reviews for The Out Hotel of the noise from construction but luckily most of the renovations were all completed so we didn't have any issues with that. There was still one renovation going on in the inner garden area where the hallways of the rooms are located but our rooms were completely redone. Our room was on the second floor and faced 42nd Street. You can hear the street noise from the rooms but come on, you're in New York. If you want to sleep in silence, staying in the city is probably not your best option. The décor was nice and trendy and everything was updated. The staff were all friendly and accommodating to our needs. There is also a bar/lounge downstairs that seems to be popular at night and would be a great date night spot. This hotel was central to many restaurants and attractions and is walking distance to Times Square. I would definitely stay in this area again next time I visit New York and I am glad I got to experience this hotel during their opening weekend.

R. C.

Yelp
Though the guys at the door were nice and the service was moderate to ok, the room was very dirty. I was truly surprised by that. And the hallway in front of the room was dense with twigs and branches as if a tree was hauled through it. That's fine, but the mess remained there for over two days. Also, I was warned that the place next door would be making a bit of noise at night but the true noise came from the staff who were working outside of my room. Also, there were two long metallic poles extending from the bed frame that were incredibly dangerous. They bruised me and one of my guests and so I had to cover them with towels.

Cindy B.

Yelp
Small, Breakfast provided, Hotel fee Check-In/Check-Out Checking in and out was smooth nothing to complain about. The Room We were on the highest floor, level 3. The room was a small but decent size. If you need really bright lights this might not be the place for you. Imagine you're in a cinema and before they turn off the lights, that's the best you can get. There's a mini-fridge with drinks and snacks on the table provided as well. There's also like a "sexy package" including all those sexual pleasures. The Bathroom The bathroom was a good size. I love that there's a mirror next to the shower. There's hairdryer provided. No bathtub Restaurant/Entertainment There are restaurant and bar next to the hotel. Also, there's a playboy club next to the hotel as well. The best part of the hotel is close to my favorite dim sum place, Tim Ho Wan is only walking distance. Hotel Service/Amenities They provided a water bottle every day. Also, breakfast was included. The breakfast was standard. There's also a pool table at the lobby, not sure if you are allowed to play if you're not a member of the playboy club because the pool table has their logo on it. They provide baggage storage as well. They do provide parking just across their hotel but is an additional fee. Overall Not sure I would be back here again. I am not sure why am seeing hotels charging hotel fee now in New York. I don't know if this is even allowed or they are just making it up. But they do charge hotel fee here. Other than the fee, it wasn't a bad stay but don't think I'll be back.

Yelp
I was surprised and disappointed that the hotel did not represent itself like the pictures online. It was gaslighting at it's finest. This hotel has gone from Swanky to Skanky, all Boo and no Tique. The hotel was dark, dingy, dirty, and bare. It had been overrun during covid and had not been updated. The hotel is in need of a makeover stat! The rooms were dark, and only windows looked out onto a courtyard where other guests could see in. No privacy at all! I changed rooms twice because they were both dirty. The bathroom shower had scum in the corners that had not been cleaned, and a conditioner bottle that was left by a former guest. The rooms lacked amenities like coffee makers, water bottles, iron's / ironing boards. However, when requested I was brought an ironing board and iron. There were no cushions on the chairs in the courtyard and were bare. No where to get comfortable or lounge with friends. The nightclub next door played house music until 3am that you could hear and feel the vibrations while you tried to sleep. It was pure torture. The hotel gave me a discounted rate for my inconvenience. The amazing restaurant in the pictures on line is closed. This is not a place I would stay again. I couldn't get comfortable during my entire stay and I was there for 5 days working. The beds were comfortable and the staff was empathetic and kind. The staff was the best part of the hotel. Once I was in my room the maid cleaned well.

Kristen Z.

Yelp
Rooms are nice but lack a real closet. Very comfortable bed, pillows and sheets. Quite the European style, minimalistic. Hallways have very dim lighting. No ice bucket , ice machine, coffee machine, cups or microwave but they do have a mini fridge. No on site restaurant or even vending. Luckily there is a CVS 1/2 block down. Spacious bathroom and large shower. 3 blocks to subway and 4 to Times Square.

Unsa M.

Yelp
Hi. I booked the hotel via super travel. Upon booking I was not told that there will be extra charges to pay at hotel when checking out. It's very misleading for customer to pay unexpected charge. Today when we checked out they asked me to pay $200 for some strange fee which is experience fee that covers room service, using Wi-Fi which was stated as free in the hotel, using lift, computer which we never used. Usually when we book room that covers all that. What we are paying for then? Only the bed in the room? This is totally unfair and I am so upset with that. This is why they show less price and later charged via hotel. Booking number B_10238219

Jessica C.

Yelp
Floors are VERY dusty. Gym is kept at 60degrees and they lock up the keypad to change it. Very frustrating. 3/3 cardio machines don't work. I would left if my reservation was refundable.

Jon B.

Yelp
We booked a 30K event with this hotel prior to COVID when the property was closed due to the Pandemic. They promised us we could use the credit in 2021. Today , the property is not open and they will not provide a refund as promised "no response from ownership" for close to 2 months now. Very poor busness ethics and no integrity - just a bad look. I would not stay at any of their hotels.

Laura G.

Yelp
Stayed here for a quick one night away in the city after booking on Expedia. They rope you in with their low price and you get banged on taxes. I think the room was about $160 but came to $217 with tax and then upon checkout I received a bill for $28.69, basically their resort fee. Obnoxious. Anyway, this place is cute... I've stayed at better hotels in manhattan but it was fine. It's conveniently close to Times Square, about a 7 minute walk. There is cvs nearby and an awesome eatery, rustic table, that we enjoyed after checkout. Oh and also, for all you daddies, there is a playboy club located right next door... noise wasn't an issue probably bc it was Sunday night. However, in the morning we heard everything, people talking right outside of our door, doors slamming, the walls and doors are made super thin and cheaply. I got a little cheapish vibe from this place... it's got a cool set up where half is indoor and outdoor, it's interesting. The room was small, there is no closet.. I would look elsewhere if you're planning on staying more than one night... or get one of their superior rooms. They also offer parking for $30 overnight in a parking garage across the street.. honestly the street was so busy, we got pissed bc we couldn't keep turning around and ended up not even utilizing that garage, so we paid $50 down the block. That was annoying but whatever.. they should have valet. The bed I slept in was shit.. it was so noisy, literally every turn I made it was creaking and I am not heavy so that was annoying. Also, the bathroom door is super thin. I would probably stay with someone u know really well and are comfortable with lol.. mirror in the shower, nice touch for all the freaks :)

Kayode H.

Yelp
Great location, but extremely loud at night due to the Playboy club next door and the Blackbox club within the hotel. I couldn't sleep at all and the music lasted until 3AM. The hotel is clean and smells great. The bar/restaurant next door is cool with free popcorn, and board games to play. The staff is friendly, I had no issues with that. Overall wouldn't be my first place to stay but serviceable if you want to be close to Times Square, The highline, and The vessel.

Yelp
I recently spent the weekend at the newly renovated Cachet Boutique hotel with my friend, Brittany, for New York Fashion week. I live on Long Island and only go into the city whenever she comes into town from Miami. So basically that's once a year! We always try to find nice hotels that are affordable and in a central location to everything we want to see and do since we aren't really subway riders. Finding an affordable and nice hotel in NYC is a bit of a struggle sometimes but we came across The Cachet Boutique Hotel with rooms starting as low as $145 per night. From the second we walked into the hotel we were treated like family and felt so comfortable as if we were home. The staff are amazing and very welcoming, every time you come in or are leaving they will greet you, ask you if you need anything, or just wish you a great day. Everyone from the front staff to the maintenance man and cleaners were just so nice and very accommodating. We stayed in the newly renovated King Suite. The room was very spacious and modern and included a stocked mini fridge and a safe for personal belongings. The bathroom was very big, and included bath soaps as well as a hair dryer and two plush robes. The location is perfect with the hotel conveniently located in Hell's Kitchen, 42nd Street between 10th and 11th Avenue. From the hotel it is a ten minute walk to Time Square and the theater district. The closest subway/port authority bus terminal is only a five minute walk. To go from the hotel to JFK airport by train is approxamily a hour and ten minutes. If you drive in, it will basically take you the same amount of time. If you need a convenience store and to stock the mini fridge with waters and snacks there is a CVS store open 24hrs/7 days and it's only a minute walk up the block. Everything is conveniently located within walking distance of the hotel and is very safe. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Cachet Boutique hotel. The beds were really comfortable and the room was equipped with everything you might need for your stay. Including an umbrella which came in handy. If you love art, you will definitely love the new lobby area. When Brittany comes back, I am sure this will be our go to hotel.

Katerina S.

Yelp
The rooms are clean; reception area is awesome and very, VERY stylish. It seemed to be a definite 5* until we had breakfast. It was supposed to be a 30$ value in a restaurant downstairs, yet it was just a small spot ( one table covered with Greek yogurt, boiled eggs, bagels, and buns) in a room on the first floor. Nothing, I mean absolutely nothing to eat. You should also take into consideration that all bagels, buns and croissants were not fresh, impossible to bite and completely disgusting. Not a boutique breakfast, not even a 3* star hotel breakfast.

Yelp
This hotel's lack of customer service and appreciation is unparalled. I had reserved two rooms for a trip to NYC to attend a conference at Columbia University scheduled to take place in March. Due to the current coronavirus pandemin Columbia cancelled the conference. The Cachet Boutique Hotel refuses to cancel the reservation and will not refund the money. I have also had to cancel numerous hotels I had booked for April when we were going to travel to the northeast for campus tours with our daughter who is finishing her junior year in high school. Again all hotels and third parties such as Hotwire, which does not allow refunds or changes on its Hotrates, fully refunded and cancelled all reservations due to all the colleges cancelling campus tours. The Cachet Boutique Hotel's refusal to accomodate it's clients and lack of comprehension and compassion gven this unprecedented worldwide pandemic reflects the conpany's values and greed. I strongly urge anyone contemplating staying at this hotel to opt for another hotel when going to any property owned and operated by this company.

Yelp
The only room was the first floor, on the street, across from the entrance to Lincoln Tunnel. Restaurant was closed. Front desk was not very attentive, helpful or apologetic. Decor in the bedroom was sparse, scratched, but the bed and bathroom were good.

Yelp
This place is NOT what it is shown on pictures at all. No pool, the price is higher even tho there is nothing available for guests to use. For the same price other hotels can offer more stuff. Also, the from deck agent is so unprofessional. The person named Tanisha is very unprofessional and rude. You are not allowed to ask any questions because she will give you an attitude like you are not a guest. So disappointed.

Yelp
This super contemporary hotel is conveniently located in Hells Kitchen. For a New York hotel, the room was spacious and efficient. The staff was excellent, accommodating all our needs with a smile. The bed was comfy, but squeaked as you got in and out. The one downside was a really noisy heater that cycled on and off all night. The room was very clean and housekeeping was well done.

Yelp
Our stay here at this Hotel was wonderful..... Everything was AMAZING, the food, the staff, the ROOM, the breakfast. 100% highly recommended.

Yelp
Trendy, clean, and great value. Continental breakfast included and also parking garage option across the street. We will return.

Yelp
As I get ready to plan for my Christmas NYC overnight / show weekend I remembered I never wrote a review in here from Labor weekend 2022. I'm excited for my staypinnaple this Christmas after the horrific experience I ingested here Labor Day weekend with my Daughter . We don't often stay in Hells Kitchen but wanted to eat at an authentic Mexican place near by and found this boutique hotel . When we arrived before the show at 1 pm we were told our room wasn't ready and to place our luggage in the valet . Nothing more was said . The staff was rude and very unfriendly ! we went to the show and at our return of 6:30 pm were told that a last min all night pop up event would produce noise theouout every room in the hotel. supposedly this boutique hotel is attached to a night club by a thin wall. we were told that we could gladly stay but the noise level would be insane and would keep us awake from11pm till 4am . They offered to cancel our room free of charge but with no alternate solution . here we were , my Daughter and I , stuck at 6:30pm on a holiday weekend with no room in NYC . Luckily my Aunt is a travel agent and found us a room quickly after I made the call. I would not recommend this hotel to any one . ever . I am an advocate for boutique hotels and unique places . typically lower in cost and friendly attentive service . This hotel had no charm , it was dark creepy and not on a nice block . dirty and shady . I highly recommend The Jewel near Rockefeller Plaza , where I usually stay . Staypinnaple also has great reviews . Stay clear from Cachet !!!!!!

Yelp
SCAM Artists Beware!!! So booked here for a 3 night stay and paid in advance. Due to a work emergency ended up not getting into town until the morning of the 3rd day. Upon check-in I was told that since I didn't arrive the first night they canceled my reservation, kept the non-refundable payment, and re-booked the room. No call or email to check in with me, give me a heads up or anything of the like. So there I was in NYC with no hotel room and out about $1k. I would rant more about the front desk/management/ownership, but it's just a waste of time. Sounds insane, but absolutely true. BEWARE of this place and even if it's extra book somewhere else as I obviously got scammed and am writing this review so hopefully it doesn't happen to anyone else.

Yelp
due to a hotel booking mishap, travelocity booked us here last minute for a weekend trip to the city. this hotel is next door to the Playboy Club. They play music until past 3am on weekends. The front desk was not able to help with the noise, as it is separate management companies. When we called the front desk at 11:30pm , they kept saying "oh the music should go off in about 15 minutes," but it was almost 4 hours until it shut off. The music was loud enough to vibrate the hotel room. while the rooms are spacious, it doesn't really matter since you can't sleep due to the noise. having a hotel next door to a loud club is a beyond impractical. there is a restaurant downstairs in the hotel - a sports bar. the food / drinks at the bar were fine (nothing special, but convenient). however, the service was really slow. overall, a very disappointing stay. staff was friendly and the hotel was clean and stylish, but since the main function a hotel serves is giving you a place to sleep, and the Playboy Club was next door blasting music all night, that was very difficult. also there are some pretty blatantly fake / paid for reviews on this page (lol).

Yelp
Hotel staff were very accommodating. We were traveling with our kids and they helped us out. Complimentary breakfast was great and was one meal we didn't have to think about each day. I have read some complaints about noise. We did not have any issues. I will definitely stay there again.

Yelp
I must say I was pleasantly surprised with my stay at the Cachet Boutique Hotel. Spotted a deal on Hotels.com and crossed my fingers since NYC hotels are hit or miss. As others have mentioned, the Cachet was a former hotel that has been remodeled so it's still very new. Decor feels a little too "Vegas" for me, but what can you expect when the playboy club is located right next door. Rooms are the biggest I've seen for the price point. Staff is super friendly. the hotel is only three floors and centered around an outdoor courtyard. I had a room near the waterfall and was glad they shut it off at night (can get pretty loud). Overall, good hotel. If you have any reservations for booking, don't!

Yelp
As we approached the hotel we were greeted interestingly by a short 3 story hotel and realized that this used to be a gay boutique hotel. It has some interesting vibes to it that make it seem a bit, lets just say, catered to the adult clientele if you will. Mostly filled with dim lighting and dark black colors, the decor is sleek and modern. I enjoyed the easy check in and the amazing location within 5-10 min walking distance to "mid town" and the Times Square area. All of the rooms face a courtyard area which was closed off by a plastic tarp for the winter. It was a little odd that the windows could be left open for people to walk by and look in (but of course, if you choose to have your blinds closed then no one can look in). The bathroom is clean but was showing its age a bit, and the shower was clogged...I wonder what was keeping the water from draining (....umm..). Loud music also was played until 1am or so for an event downstairs (there's seems to have been a lounge/club on the first floor). All in all great place to lay your head for one evening. On an app we booked this place still for over $200, which it may not necessarily have been worth. Pros: Great location, 2 free water bottles, spacious room, big bed, free breakfast.

Yelp
Not the worst, but won't be back. I booked this hotel online through Cancelon and when we arrived to check-in, the front desk staff could not find our reservation. We were told to come back later when the manager arrived, but were provided with no other options. We also had to ask for accommodations, like storing luggage in the meantime. Luckily (and after multiple customer service calls), we came back at the standard check-in time and were given a room. The stay was comfortable and the location was ideal for us! But, there are EXTRA fees that you aren't told about until you're checking-in. This made the original low cost no longer a benefit. We also went out during the day for a few hours and left the "please tidy up the room" sign on our door. When we returned, it appeared no housekeeping had come. Not the end of the world, but yea. Pros: location; free beer coupon for bar next door; luggage storage; breakfast included; complimentary water

Yelp
I agreed to pay 319 for the hotel, which permits a cancellation outside of the 48 hour time period before the reservation without a fee, and before the mandatory 25 dollars for a shitty breakfast. In any event, when you try to cancel the hotel per the policy permitting free cancellation- the staff is extremely rude. They will then send you another confirmation to say that your reservation is somehow NOW non-refundable and then charge your card immediately after you get off the phone with them (I double checked this with my credit card). There is no one to complain to because the manager is rude and apparently the number to the hotel is also the number to their headquarters. They literally do not respond to emails and do not care for anything besides taking your money. This hotel is cheap with a loud side and a quiet side of the hotel (the hostess will tell you whether you are in the quiet side or the loud side). There is no discount for loud music vibrating into your hotel room. There is a Playboy night club attached to the hotel - so there will be noise if you are in the loud side of the hotel. This hotel is two stories tall with a night club and bar on the first floor. On both sides of the hotel are two taller buildings - so ask yourself- what about windows? your only windows are to the courtyard in the middle of the hotel. If you have a room at the back of the hotel, your view is of semi trucks, buses and traffic going to the Lincoln tunnel. Not sure what this roof top situation is but this hotel is two stories. You are either on the same floor as the Playboy club or immediately under a rooftop situation (I have not gone to the rooftop).

Yelp
Got in early so we checked our luggage in. We came back in the late afternoon and given our room key. An hour later, mid-nap, we are interrupted by a family trying to enter the room. They got assigned the same room as well and went back to the front desk to say we were "very angry". No, my spouse wasn't angry. He was asleep and just a little groggy and irritated that 4 People asked to be let into the room. That "very angry" comment had the hotel manager and security come charging up to the room. I saw them through the window and thought, oh boy...they made it seem like we had taken the room somehow. Very accusatory. We were treated like we had trespassed and they immediately asked if we actually booked a double room. Why the hostile approach? We paid too. Not my problem. This is the room we were assigned. Key, room number and off we went. We later check-in downstairs to make sure we're squared away. Incredulously, the manager starts telling us how her staff screwed up. As a manager, take one for the team. Your reservation agent who checked us in was nice. Everyone makes a minor error here and there but how you respond is the key. You're one company, so look like it. A simple, we made a reservation error and we apologize is sufficient. If you really wanted to take this room back, offer a complimentary service, I don't care. Free laundry? Late check-out? Voucher for food? It's not about a freebie but a goodwill towards making it right. Then to remedy this, apparently, it's now my problem again. They said, something along the lines like, well, we feel bad because you're a couple right, and now you have double beds so it just looks and feels weird, right? No, manager lady. It's only weird if you make it and this reverse psychology is pissing me off even more. Actually no, I don't care. I'm pregnant and tired. Any bed or two beds will work. I had unpacked and settled in with my clothes unpacked and my buckets of prenatal vitamins arranged. Rooms are dark with little lighting. Beds are okay. Rooms have the look and feel of a motel. No desk, so once again, don't plan to stay for business. The lighting is so dim and crappy it feels like a cheap hourly sex motel complete with the "intimate" kit they leave for sale in your room. The "kit" includes an overpriced assortment of adult toys. Shower doors don't extend far enough and we kept puddling the bathroom after showers. Again, horrible lighting. Most 4-Star hotels in my experience don't sell these weird sex kits. In conclusion, we chose this hotel because it was in the lower price range for a "boutique" hotel but we got what we paid for. We figured it's a nice place and we can spend the money on taking our friends out. I wish we'd paid more and just had a better experience. Do not stay here. You'll probably walk around the outdoor space facing the courtyard thinking...what an odd setup for a nicer hotel. Well, it's not a nicer hotel. The other review said it quite well...the pictures look nice but it definitely didn't look that way in person. To be honest, some of their online reviews seem paid. When we checked out, the luggage handler offered to help us get a car to the airport for $90. I'm like...uhh...$90, isn't Uber or Lyft cheaper? He says it's because they will ask you to pay the toll separately. Well, I called Lyft and no one asked me to pay the tolls separately so our ride was about $60 total inclusive of a generous tip. Those hotel people probably get a cut for the obscene overpriced referral. Shady. I'm originally from the lower east side and visit very often so I know a weird thing when I hear it. Till next time NYC. Not at this shady "boutique hotel".

Yelp
I had an amazing stay at this property. It is near port authority and Times Square but conventionally tucked away from the hustle and bustle and the tourists. The woman that booked my reservation upgraded me to the outdoor junior suite free of charge, which was a plus. The entire staff is completely friendly and professional. The property is beautiful and clean. My suite was amazing. Although you can't see much from the outdoor terrace, It was still a nice place to sit out and relax. I was given free drink vouchers for the restaurant that's inside the property. The drinks were delicious and strong. I really have no cons about staying here. I look forward to staying again really soon

Yelp
Booked before COVID and had to cancel due to travel restrictions. For two months they haven't confirmed it and charged the card for the entire stay!

Yelp
I dont even want to waste my time and energy to describe what a HORRIBLE customer service experience I had here. Rude, inconsiderate and absolutely no effort to rectify a situation they created. Baffled this is "hospitality". Will NEVER book here again and I suggest others avoid as well.

Yelp
I would never recommend staying on a weekend. Three major night clubs in the area, music started around 9p and didn't stop till 3a. Not only did the vibration of the music shake you out of bed, the whole building shook. You could clearly hear the DJ and the lyrics to the music they were playing. One star was being generous. Never again.

Yelp
We stayed at the Cachet Boutique for five nights- five nights too long, unfortunately. We were very excited to book another trip to the city and I stumbled upon this place on Booking.com. The pictures looked so charming and was close to things but also far enough away from noise. We wanted to come drop our bags off before check-in, which wasn't for 6 more hours. But they were actually able to check us in and had our room ready (score!). We came up to the room and it was SO SMALL. The place to hang clothing was in the bathroom...why? We called down to ask about this and they said it was the design for all of the rooms. They offered a rolling cart to hang clothes and then called to tell us that it wouldn't fit in our room. They then offered us a room change and this room was a lot bigger and the shelving/hanging for clothes wasn't in the bathroom...so all the rooms aren't like that as said. It could have been a lot cleaner of a room. Side table was very dusty and poor architecture/design to have the heat vent coming out of the desk...why would I want that on papers and a computer? We had an issue with our room reeking of smoke which was coming from another room so they were trying to figure out where that came from, which we do appreciate. But as a non-smoker it was very gross to have it coming in our room. Especially coming in later at night and just wanting to sleep in a nice room that didn't reek of smoke. The housekeeping was very friendly and came and made our bed and brought fresh towels every day. Christopher at the front desk was very nice and was probably the best part about our stay- thank you. We had drinks at the Eden Local hotel restaurant/bar. We had the Rose Garden drink and the red sangria. Both very delicious and bartender was friendly. There are plenty of other hotel options in Manhattan and lots of competition so I highly recommend that this hotel steps their game up.

Yelp
I stayed here 2 years ago back when it was called The Out and it was wonderful. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. This time was just about the complete opposite. Front desk guy didn't even tell me where my room was and I was roaming the halls for about 10 minutes before i found a staff member that could help me. I paid for an outdoor suite that was advertised with a beautiful outdoor bed and eating nook. When I got to the room there was a side table with two uncomfortable chairs. The manager said "they could only promise an outdoor space no furniture was guaranteed with the room" Oh and there's a nightclub directly next door and they don't stop playing music until 4am. So I pretty much got no sleep.

Mallory S.

Yelp
PROS: clean, nice staff, amazing courtyard, good location, free water bottles each day, safe area, hotel restaurant CONS: resort fee, damage deposit, small breakfast for what you pay, no pool/hot tub Overall, I had a good stay here. I stayed here for 3 nights and had no loud noise (like others had referred to). I loved the stylish vibe of the hotel and would stay here again.

Yelp
Hotel and rooms are beautiful but if your on the Playboy Club side of hotel don't expect to sleep until after 3:30 AM. The sound and vibration from bass is horribly LOUD

Morgan U.

Yelp
Stayed here once in January and had a great experience. This time around I've experienced loud, obnoxious guests, fire alarms, loud club music and an overall very unpleasant stay. I'm currently writing this at 1:15am while being kept awake by the loud music of the club next door which feels like it is in the next room. Last night the fire alarm went off and no one could figure out how to turn it off and once they did the strobe light in my room continued to go off until 7am!! I will NOT be booking this hotel ever again.
