We just stayed there on Saturday, July 19th. The lobby was completely fine, there was no visible construction happening that we could see. The room looked newly renovated and was clean and modern. We stayed in the Romulus Tower 10th floor and had a slight view of the lake to the right, but, on the left side the top of a parking garage or roof and could see the pool below. The nice thing is the lobby and tower did not have a smoke smell which is so common in casino hotels. It was an ideal place to stay to attend a concert in the Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harveys, now known as the Lake Tahoe Amphitheatre at Caesars Republic. Jon Pardi was amazing. I was very nervous based on the reviews. Our experience was seamless, check in was easy and our room was ready at 2:00pm PST a literal earlier than the regular check in time. The valet was also seamless and everyone from the hotel we came into contact with was super nice.

Caution!! This place will change your credit card every single day your there with random charges. Our first day they double charged for the indicidental fees. We were there 3 nights and everyday I had some random charge on my card. They told me it was their system that does it. They charge $17 a day for parking. Not included in resort fee. They don't tell you about when you check in. One more thing. They have a snack and beverage tray that is weighted in the room so if you pick something up on that tray you will be paying for it even if you didn't eat or drink it. The hotel was nice. Staff was nice but the surprise charges were not so nice. I would of had a better time if they didn't have my credit card held up on charges that were not made by me!!! Won't stay here again.....oh and the jacuzzi isn't working and pool is ok...nothing special

It saddens me to say that this hotel is lacking. My husband and I take advantage of our comps and this trip is no different. Normally you can’t complain about free however the revenue we spend on property is comparable to luxury accommodations elsewhere. I chose Harvey’s because we’ve never stayed here and the front desk confirmed they have a hot tub during booking. I’m recovering from cancer and it’s my therapy so for me it’s a big deal breaker. Upon arrival last week we were greeted by a great valet team but they accidentally parked our rental with the passenger window down so both our sunglasses and my handicap placard were stolen on day 1. I didn’t file a report because it’s not worth ruining our vacay and I’m the one that left my window down before exiting. We had only planned on using valet upon check in and parking our car at a friend’s a block away in their handicap spot since we’re here 6 days. Now we anticipate being charged $35.00 fee per day. Entering the hotel you immediately notice they are “re-branding” from Harvey’s to Caesars Republic and construction is a maze of confusion. Check in is a portable table for VIP and the rest of us get to stand between the ropes zig zagging like were waiting for a ride at Disney. It’s our turn and it’s an hour early so we’re told they would call us when the rooms ready. It’s 5 o’clock and no word so we braved the front desk and the VIP stepped up and took care of us. The first thing I asked is what floor was the hot tub on and he responded with the pool and hot tub were under construction. I explained how important it was and he let me know I couldn’t use Harrahs across the street either for the same reason. We went up to our room and you can see it’s new because the blue painters tape is lining the walls. The room has a great view of the parking garage which the humor is we can see our rental and I’m wondering exactly when they broke into it. My husband walks over to the window with a note that says they won’t be cleaning our room during our stay but if we need anything contact them. Great!! Just what I wanted….i travel so I don’t have to clean! Today marks day 4 of using the same towels because previous requests have been ignored which led me to leaving this lengthy but informative review for the next couple who’s looking to spend a relaxing week. I always like to leave on a positive note which is everyone we’ve encountered so far has been very nice. I can imagine crabby people all day complaining about the construction wears on their nerves yet they seem to handle it with choreographed smiles. Ultimately this wasn’t the romantic Father’s Day and Birthday trip we planned but we’re making the best of it.

Nice place! Our room was great. Clean and we had a decent view of mountains and some of LakeTahoe. The restaurant options were good. Nice casino. Clean place overall. They are currently under construction, so there are some minor obstacles, however, the work they're doing looks great.

Please don’t waste your money. First time to Tahoe and was offered comps so I used them for 5 nights. Family of 4. The construction was not the problem here it was the staff and their treatment of guests. Casino was nice, nothing ever hits though. Definitely will get a cabin or find alternative lodging. Upon entering it is nice and looked clean. Check-in was not great, the front desk girl acted irritated when I asked why I was being charged more than what I reserved with Caesars call center. They promised it my deposit would be refunded, it wasn’t. We opted out of using valet $50 a day was ridiculous, so we used the self parking. Self-parking is $17 a day. We used the bell hop and after an hour and half of waiting for our luggage we had to go down and ask for our luggage. They got our luggage to us within 5 min of going down to desk. Room was big and looked clean. First there was a small hole in wall and we reported to the housekeeper outside, they said ok. The phone did not work, went back down stairs and they said there would be someone up to replace, never happened. We told them daily and always promised it would be fixed, never was. There is no housekeeping if you stay, we had to go to front desk multiple times, only to be told to use our phone and ask for what we need. Daily had to chase down housekeeping to get just the basics. We had to place trash outside door or take out for them. Toilet clogged and took over 4.5 hours to get a it fixed, we requested 7 times and was told to use lobby restrooms. Room stayed hot even set at 65. Fridge in room never got cold, discussed and nothing ever happened. I love Caesars properties, but this is one I will never stay at again.

Google
The hotel itself is beautiful and in a great location. We arrived past check in time, at 4:30 PM, check in is at 4 PM. Upon checking in, we were informed at the lobby that our room was not ready. They took our phone number down and informed us we would receive a phone call when the room was ready for us. I have stayed in many many hotels around the world and I have never arrived at a hotel past check in, only to be told that our room is not ready and that I will have to wait for a phone call. We stayed a total of 4 nights, housekeeping during our stay was pretty much non existent. Housekeeping never showed up the first day to clean the room, the second day I had to call and specifically request housekeeping. The 3rd day housekeeping was a no show once again, by the 4th day I had completely given up on housekeeping showing up. There was dust all over the room, the headboard was dusty, the phone was dusty and there was hair on the bathroom floor from the previous guests. What a disappointment to find out that a hotel of this magnitude had so many let downs. This hotel needs to look into the way they run things before their total rating keeps getting worse.

Young adults beware. Extremely disappointed. We're a hardworking family who spends a decent amount of money a Caesars locations......||My son checked into the 8th floor and left the room shortly after. *Note he elected to stay a second night and had checked into a NEW room. A friend returned to the room and managers and security began banging on the door. They were told they were being kicked out for actively smoking Marijuana. My son asked that they please review video as they hadn't been in the room. He asked that they search their room, the joining room (booked by other guests), or call police to have them search because they had not done that. Management and security refused. He even asked that they watch them pack as they were embarrassed and packing to leave, so that they didn't think he was hiding things.||**My son said that coming off the elevator to meet security/managers it smelled of Marijuana and their room absolutely did have a very strong Marijuana smell, possibly coming from the vents? They however were not smoking! They were gambling downstairs when supposedly refusing to answer the door and smoking. ||As I mentioned, we vacation and go to different locations and have never had an issue, nor has my son. I believe if an older adult had answered that hotel room door my son's friend would not have immediately been yelled at, they would have had a chance to "explain," and would have been treated differently, with more respect. ||I understand that these places have all kinds of people who run a muck and take advantage of the establishment, but they are not one of them.

We didn't know the resort was under renovation when we booked, nor did they tell us. The casino is very cut up as they work on improvement. We did win a hand pay ant took slot services over 40 minutes to complete the transaction. I know they don't want to give you a check but....|Location is great the view from our room was very nice. Room don't look completely renovated. But are ok and comfortable.

Yelp
I just stayed here for 3 nights in a 2 Queen room with a great view of the lake and the mountains. We were there mid week so it was much less crowded but that means surrounding unaffilaited businesses closed earlier due to no customers. The room was on the 11th floor and was quite hot when with AC set to coldest setting and fan on high. The vent doesnt put out much cold air and only on one side of room. The beds were comfortable and clean. They had good lighting to read or to relax. The room itself was quite dark and could use more lighting. There was a mini fridge, no microwave. No rooms have soaking bathtubs or tubs at all anymore. They all have stall showers. Those with kids might want a tub. The bathroom was spacious and private toilet was appreciated. The pool was a good temperature and clean. The bottom of the pool felt like it was spongy. Maybe a liner was bubbling or something. Men and women's locker rooms had saunas and steam rooms (women's wasnt working though) My complaints have to do with the lack of food options in this hotel and with the area in general. There is no 24 hour place to order food that is nearby. The hotel has a high priced coffee shop near lobby with a bar and a general store but they closed at night. If you park valet you will have to get your car out and drive to find food after hours. They dont have room service anymore. Only food delivery from their restaurants but they are either too fancy or too expensive. Sage room is no longer near the card tables. Its been moved to a higher floor which made me sad. The sister hotel Harrahs no longer has the forest buffet which really pissed me off. Loved that place. They got rid of fatburger and the food court too. The bellboys and Valet workers were all great. Very good at what they do. Front desk was great too. We will always call this hotel Harvey's because Its been Harvey's forever and its easier to say. Tahoe is losing its charm with all of these mainstream restaurants by Gordon Ramsey, Lisa vanderpump and other trendy names.

Yelp
My family and I recently spent three nights and four days at the newly rebranded Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe Hotel. Having heard about the renovations, we were eager to experience the "Vegas Caesars feel" in a mountain setting, and in many ways, the hotel delivers on that promise. The newly renovated rooms are undeniably chic and modern, clearly aiming for that upscale, luxurious aesthetic synonymous with the Caesars brand in Las Vegas. The decor, furnishings, and overall finish are very well done, creating an inviting and contemporary atmosphere that feels like a significant upgrade. However, where the hotel falls short is space, or rather, the distinct lack thereof. While the renovations are impressive, they haven't been able to magically expand the footprint of the rooms. We found our room, including the bathroom, to be incredibly small - truly tiny, tiny, tiny. As a family with two kids, this became a significant challenge. There was simply not enough room to comfortably spread out, store luggage, or even move around without bumping into each other. Another point of frustration during our stay was the lack of housekeeping for the entire four days. For a family of four, especially after spending active days exploring Lake Tahoe, this amount of time without fresh towels, trash removal, and general tidying up was considerable and inconvenient. We certainly expected daily service, or at the very least, an option to request it. Finally, while the new elevators are sleek and modern, they too suffer from the same spatial limitations. They are remarkably tiny, making it almost impossible to fit a stroller and our family at the same time. This led to frustrating waits and multiple trips, especially during peak hours. In conclusion, while I genuinely appreciate the effort and expense put into the renovations - the rooms are indeed beautiful and evoke that desired Caesars ambiance - I am ultimately not a fan of the limited space and size of the accommodations and public areas like the elevators. For couples or solo travelers who prioritize style over sprawling space, this hotel could be a good fit. However, for families, particularly those with young children and strollers, the cramped quarters and lack of regular housekeeping significantly detracted from what could have been a more comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Yelp
Recently upgraded and renamed, the "new" Caesars Republic is the nicest resort in South Lake Tahoe now. We stayed in a balcony suite and enjoyed Caesars Republic's efforts to bring back the luster of the old Harvey's along with the fabulous lake view. For diner type food go to the Harrah's side to the new Brew Brothers which replaces the old food court. On this side Sage Room remains great along with Wolf and Hell's Kitchen. The gym is nice. Steam and sauna in locker room. Pool and jacuzzi are adequate. Some nice shops on the lobby level at both Caesars Republic and Harrahs. Starbucks is on the Harrahs side only now but Cleo's provides the same sort of drinks and food, plus alcoholic drinks too. The casino has been upgraded renovated and includes a new high limit and new poker room. Good service. Caesars Republic has moved back to resort level service.

Yelp
I thought Ceasars Republic Lake Tahoe was an excellent addition to the Ceasars hotel network. The interior was nicely done and the slot machines seem new, well heck, we won lol. The hotel has restaurants such as Hells kitchen by Gordon Ramsey and Wolf by Vandepump. Overall impressions of Ceasars Republic was great.

Yelp
The renovations are nice in the old mountain tower which is the new Remus tower. We had a comped room for the weekend and unfortunately were assigned a corner room which has a bizzare set up. They added mini bars to the rooms which you can scan the QR code and boy are things expensive. The service on the casino floor is hit and miss as one cocktail server refused to acknowledge despite me looking right at her and smiling to get her attention (she walked past me 3 times and offered drinks to every other person in my area).

Yelp
Amazing location close to all the shops and eatery. . Favorite restaurant here is the vanderpump wolf. The dinner and drinks here is very good quality and attention to detail on the food presentation. The vibes inside is modern and perfect for special occasions. . The service of check in with the bell desk is quick. The vip checking in for the room was quick and easy. . Rooms here is nice and spacious with 2 queen beds. A nice bathroom to share and a closet too. . Overall I like coming here and would stay again when I'm visiting tahoe. Hope this review helps and thanks for reading. Have a yelptastic day.

Yelp
It's been a couple years since we stayed in South Lake Tahoe that the old Harvey's is now Caesars Republic. We had comped rooms and it was nicely remodeled from what I remember it used to be. We stayed in the Romulus tower is what I believe it was stated on our room key. The beds were not very comfy and only 2 pillows per queen bed so my hubby and I didn't get good sleep each night. Tossed and turned. Otherwise the room was very clean and functional. The lobby was nice and a cafe right next to it. Further down past lobby will be some shops snacks and entrance to the arcade. Customer service was ok, they didn't give much info about our rooms or stay or explain anything. I had to call and ask if we had free WiFi etc. the kids enjoyed the pool area. It's not very deep which is fine, it was just a nice place to cool off. All in all we would stay here again as the location works to walk to many places we went to visit or access and plenty of dining nearby.

Yelp
Recent visit to Harveys during an enormous $160 million renovation. It felt like being in a construction zone not a resort. Maybe book your room at Harrahs for all of May until the summer - where there will be a break in construction that will continue after peak season. Harveys was always the budget friendly kid brother of Harrahs. Cheap eats, older rooms - more affordable - and maybe most importantly familiar and comfortable. I can see it turn into upscale Vanderpump - cold tiles - move my favorite slot machines... I'm not sure I like it. I think the worst part is the new flooring utilized. Its half shiny and half matte finished - and it alternates. The shiny tiles are extremely slippery and the matte tiles have excellent traction. I'm not asking anybody to tear up what's already down - but please NO MORE of the slippery tiles. I think its hazardous for all the seniors and seriously drunk people who wander through this place. Think of the summer concert goers who stumble back to their rooms after a concert. It would be safer to have all polished or all matte tiles. I treated the shiny tiles as banana peels and tried to avoid them and so I was ok. These tile floors are an example of putting form as a priority over function. Leave these crazy tiles by Ms Vanderpumps restaurant - they are already there - but the rest - don't feel the need to match a bad idea everywhere else. Another suggestion is to notify people while booking of the construction. It feels misleading to get people to book and step in the door and then get surprised by all that. Another suggestion is to maybe recruit some of the construction workers to work at Harrahs. They are so friendly and helpful in navigating the maze that is currently Harveys. Of all the people I encountered the construction workers were intuitive and helped me find the Harrahs tunnel or the parking garage or the hotel elevator even before I could ask. If guests stay in something that feels more like a construction zone rather than a resort I might consider reducing the resort fees just a little as acknowledgement and to show some good will.

Yelp
Nice room. Very spacious. It didn't smell like smoke. Spacious bathroom. It had 2 vanities inside the bathroom. One for makeup and the other was for the coffeemaker. It also had a large walk-in shower. The water closet had it's own door. The bathroom was long and narrow. See pictures. The room was spacious. There was a nice sitting area next to the picture windows. one window faced the strip and you had a great view of Bally's. The other window looked to Lake Tahoe and the mountains. What a beautiful view. You could see the snow capped mountains and the blue of the lake. The Casino was a whole other story. They are doing significant remodeling. Everything is under construction. The route you used to use to get places is no more. There are temporary walls everywhere and so many places are blocked off. You can't use the down/up escalator to the bottom floor. You need to take an elevator down to the check in counter. The lobby is all boxed off with construction. There is a little area for the check in counter, but no extra space. There is no room for a long line. Be lucky and check in during off times so to avoid the chaos. They let us check in an hour early at 3 so that was a blessing. We missed the 4pm crowd to check in. There were only 3 people in line in front of us. We looked and didn't see a cafe for breakfast. All they have is the steakhouse and it's only open in the evenings for dinner. They also have Wolf a spicy new drink and late night bites spot. I peeked in and it looked very festive. They did have a coffee cart, but nowhere to sit down in and have a proper breakfast or lunch. There cafe was transformed into Hell's Kitchen (open 4-9:30pm). We had to go to another hotel to find an open cafe. I wonder when they are finished their remodel if there will be a cafe. If not, it's just asking their guest to leave to find a meal and who knows if they'll come back. They might find a better option. Parking is a challenge. There are plenty of spaces, more than enough for the whole hotel to be full. The issue is getting out of the garage. We prepaid parking so we are supposed to be able to use our room key to exit, but it didn't work. We pressed the assistance button but, nothing happened. We had to back out of the lane and try the lane next to us. The machine still didn't work. We called for assistance and that worked. She looked us up by our room number and last name and saw we had paid and raised the arm for us. That was a scary moment, not being able to get out of the garage. The machine wanted to charge us another $20 on top of the $17 we already paid the hotel when we checked out. We aren't the only ones that had issues with the parking system. Read the other reviews. I don't have a quick fix for this, maybe just use the middle lane as that one the service button works. I believe that after they finish the construction it will be a fabulous place. Till then it only gets a 3 stars. There is so much dust flying around with all the construction and work men everywhere. The don't seem phased by all the guests trying to get around them.

Yelp
Stayed here for the 1st time this past week. We had a scenic view through our glass windows which was my favorite part. The room was clean. The casino had plenty of slots. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.

Yelp
I've been going to Harveys in South Lake Tahoe for years. It's a fun place to relax after a long day of skiing. I usually stop at the The Players Bar because it's smoke free and you can get free beers if you are gambling. You need to have at least $20.00 in the machine though. They have table top games like blackjack, poker, and keno. The dueling pianos are a lot of fun on the weekends. The musicians know a lot of classic pop and rock tunes. They know how to keep the crowd energized and even throw out a few good jokes now and then. Another great spot is Joe's Bar. They have sports all over the place on their big screen TVs and some good pizza too! I usually get the beer and shot special which is only $7.50. There are other options, but I usually get a Mountain Lager and a shot of JaMo. There's also some great restaurant's like Hell's Kitchen in the casino, comedy shows, health club, pool, an arcade for the kids, and some nice hotel rooms. This place just about has it all.

Yelp
The hotel is going a renovation. No one told me this when I was making my reservation for the Tattoo convention. There were so many temporary walls and restrictions that it was hard to find out way around. The check in process was tedious. I received an email saying I could check in online and just pick up my key at their machine. Their machine said to check in with the front desk. The front desk attendant was short and seemed irritated. She asked for my ID, said she would be right back and went inside their offices? Comes back after 15-20 minutes and finally checks me in. This would be my second stay here and I can't say that I would return. There are other options to stay in the area.

Yelp
Preface- I've stayed here several times before and it's just right location wise and with comfort level. When I booked the hotel online, there was nothing about construction- we were there in April. Only recently did I see their announcement about their construction and "rebranding." As we pulled up, there was significant construction outside of the hotel, and we parked and walked to where the main lobby- well the lobby in it's entirety is under construction, and there isn't much of the lobby at all, due to all of the partitions. Check-in was easy and fast, which is a plus and was surprising. However, immediately getting out of the elevator, there was no paint on the walls, things were down to the bare wall, chalk markings regarding room numbers all up and down this floor. Once we open the door, every single drawer was open. It looked like someone had tried to rob the place. I went downstairs to speak with the same person who had checked us in, and they apparently we "had no idea the entire floor was under remodel." We were able to switch rooms pretty easily, but it was still kind of a pain and a turn off. As we wandered through the hotel, there was so much construction every which way we looked nothing seemed even enjoyable. It was a bit disappointing the amount of construction taking place at one time. We were not even able to get ice on our floor. Apparently the ice machine was broken, when I had called to the front desk and room service, no one answered because apparently the people you speak to are not on site. I had to go back downstairs and the same person suggested I go to the eighth floor. At this point, I am exhausted and I do not want have to go to another floor, meander through the mazes- and he never offered or suggested to have someone could send up some ice. I even downloaded the ridiculous app to see if I could order "room service" which is really just delivery from their restaurants and there is nothing basic offered which sort of sucks honestly. Since I was out and on my way back up to the room I went to check out their little convenience store. I saw a woman and her partner with at least three or four security guards. Half were taking pictures and I can only assume with the ice on her head that she must've tripped and fallen over some of the taped carpet due to the construction. I normally don't bother to leave reviews or such negative ones but this is in complete transparency since I was a bit disappointed overall with my stay and the lack of customer service surrounding the significant construction.

Yelp
I booked this room for two nights as it was totally comped.  However, after reading reviews, I was very worried.  I actually called the morning we were supposed to check in to see if we could stay at Harrah's instead.  They were sold out.  When we checked in, I asked if we could have a renovated room.  We were pleasantly surprised!  The bathroom was huge and had two vanity areas, which was fantastic!  There is a coffee maker and fridge.  The best part of our room was the spectacular view of the lake.  Wow!!  It was breathtaking and never got old.  If you have trouble walking far, it probably isn't the best place to stay!  And, it did get really cold with all of the construction going on.  We absolutely loved our stay here and would stay here again if in the area.

Yelp
Amazing Concert at Harvey's! Ryan Bingham - August 31st 2024 Great variety of drinks and foods. Toilets were clean. Space was open and beautiful. A night to remember with amazing music and unforgettable moments!

Yelp
I was impressed with the hotel room renovations. Though the rest of the casino is in construction- this includes the main gambling floor and lobby/check in area. Navigating the casino floor felt like a maze. There were so many temporary walls and redirection. I even helped a few guest with directions because they were lost. Front lobby VIP woman went to lunch so that area was closer. The guy working at the VIP section was busy. I stood at the regular check in line and that took forever. I decided to go back to the VIP section. The male worker checked me in to a room on the 15th floor, where renovations was not completed yet so I had to head back down the lobby to get assigned another room. The construction workers were just confused as I am when I walked out of the elevator to get to my room. Inconvenient? Yes - Especially when you have all your luggage and you tired from traveling over for 2 1/2 hours. They reassigned me to the 17th floor with a king size bed and partial lake view. Now, the room itself... it was nice. Clean and modern. The view of the lake was to my right, which was amazing to wake up to and watch the sunset. The view of Heavenly Village was to my left and that was great. Unsure when construction is going to be completed but let's just say - slots were TIGHT. My bets ranged from $0.50 to $25 per spin and I hardly hit any bonuses. I went to so many different machines to try my luck, nothing. I was pretty bummed but hey that's gambling for ya. I used valet service for parking. The guys working there were friendly and helpful.

Yelp
We like to gamble so visit here from AZ at least twice a year. You can't beat the views from the balcony suites...but our room was dirty. Some kid had put stickers all over the doors..still there. No Kleenex in the room, TV didn't work and neither did the internet. Don't try to call as nobody there, even the front desk, don't answer the phone. The air would not cool below 77 degrees. Finally found a building engineer...he pulled the filters and they were solid dirt!! Once he changed them the air flow got better, not perfect, but livable. Talking to the workers, they all say not enough workers. Sad. This could be a 4 Star place with a little effort. The structure is beautiful.

Yelp
Great place in Lake Tahoe. Reminds me of a mini Las Vegas version. Great food location spots to choose from, plenty of gambling options for those that like to do so. The staff was helpful and friendly. Great late night vibe in the Tahoe walking strip.

Yelp
Just got home from a stay at reno/lake tahoe. We had a few comp rooms in reno for hot august nights which were great, we decided to extend our stay and go to tahoe - being harveys has been newly remodeled to caesars republic that was our first choice. We booked 1 night. I dont know if it was an off day but it was a terrible visit to say the least. It was 2 adults 1 teen and 1 infant. First the parking issue - its very confusing apparently we parked in the concert parking which is where it said valet and had a walkway to caesars. We parked there for 58 minutes before finding out where to move the car- we were charged 50$ to let us get our car out even though it was obvious as it was 58 minutes ( apparently they charge 50$ on concert nights and we weren't there for concert ) for hotel guests their valley on the back of the lot is 25$ per day for guests. No free parking at all. The bell staff was wonderful and there was no issues. There is kiosks that allow you to do self check in but of course we did so and it asked us to see attendant to get key- so what's the point we still had to wait in line. If you check in before 4 ( we did 330 ) they charge an additional 25$. The signage is poor and is difficult to navigate where to go. The hallways and rooms are tiny. The stroller which is small could barely get though room. The mini bar is a joke. It's at grab level for kids and is ridiculously priced. The floors in hallways were filthy - yes I know recent remodel but that area had been finished for over a month. The room right next door to us had a dog that barked loudly all night long despite us calling the front desk and complaining. Hoped In the shower to refresh to find the body wash pump with not a drop of soap- luckily the shampoo and conditioner were full so I used that but what the heck - not a drop!. Stopped to get players card and the lady mist have been new as we waited 30 minutes in line and there was only 2 people ahead of us. Went down to casino to play some slots- figured id try the bar first to start with a drink and the bartender charged me for the drink saying I hadn't spent 20$ yet on machine - never have i had that issue considering i was actively playing with my card in too. Everyone except my bell hops in and out and the lady I was texting about check in and out ( they have a text feature) was rude - did the remodel also include changing out employees or lowing their pay so their bitter ? I left and went to harrahs to gamble and drink and everyone was polite, happy and happy to help. I am disappointed to say the least- they dont offer free passes to beach like alot of the hotels do- they used to be a go to place im hoping someone who runs the place sees this and has a team meeting because im not just being a complainer I stay in hotels on travel often and I was blown away by the poor customer service here. Luckily location will always help them and they may get away with it but wouldn't you want a great reputation? We spend so much money gambling and dont mind spending but jeez it's a vacation shouldn't be stressful.

Yelp
We travel to Tahoe each year for a snow vacation. We stayed at Harvey's recently for a cheer competition and was floored by the condition of the hotel, guest services, amenities or lack their of-- for nearly FULL price. We arrived and parked in order to check in and bring our luggage in. We were not allowed to use a luggage cart, those are for bell service only. We carried our luggage and walked into what looked like a major construction zone. Line was about 15 deep to just check in. After finally reaching check in, the valet said I had to move my car, even though we hadn't got checked in yet and was parked in the loading area. We got the keys, made it to our room. Pillow cases had face make up on them, shower floor was very dirty, No ice machine anywhere, no vending machine, even though the front desk said it was on every floor. I gave up asking as nobody answers the phone within the US for this hotel. The Starbucks is also gone, so the lack of food options topped things off. None of this was disclosed. We feel very much taken advantage of and will never stay at a Creasers hotel again. Period. I have 2 stars to the front desk age. Who checked us in, she was very patient and kind considering the work conditions and frustrated guests.

Yelp
We stayed at the hotel and played in the casino. We called for extra towels and pillows and they were at our door within minutes. The view from Romulus tower 12th floor was spectacular. We would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Hotel is under construction. We booked two upgraded room which had enough space for a baby walker to roam around. The room wasn't 100% clean, we found shampoo bottle on the floor near the bed and hair in the shower. Front desk allowed us early checkin which was nice! Currently no Starbucks downstairs, the pool was heated. Nice size gym, the hot tub is still non existent. My mom really disliked the black jack table. They kept switching dealers 3 times within 2 hours. They do have connections to harrah casino/hotel which is convenient. The resort fee doesn't really make sense when most of the amenities were closed. Parking was $17 with a gold status. Our room keys would work when they wanted with the parking gate. So it was basically a gamble if it was going to work or not. Location is very convenient. Lots of walking distance things to do.

Yelp
The renovated lake view rooms are super nice! Huge windows with a view of the lake and the mountains. I know that there are a lot of bad reviews on this hotel but if you get a renovated room, it's actually pretty good. The bathroom is huge! The bed was comfortable. I think the only problem we had with the room was that it was dark. I prefer the lamps to brighten the room vs ambience lighting. I felt like I couldn't see anything at night. The Wolf restaurant was also a total vibe. We ate there twice. We enjoyed our weekend here and in my opinion this hotel was so much better than Harrah's. Everything was great.

Yelp
STAY AWAY FROM HERE. We came to tahoe for our honeymoon. We normally stay in lodges closer to the forest and lake but we decided on the convenience of a casino hotel with restaurants and bars inside. First off, EVERYTHING is under construction and chaotic. Not once while booking, receiving confirmation emails and the days coming up to our trip did we receive a warning that renovations are taking place. The amount of construction going on is ridiculous and they really should've have closed down while they renovated. You have to maneuver around yellow tapes and power tools, a lot of things are closed down and it ruins the overall experience. The elevator looked incredibly sketchy, felt like I was inside a ran down abandoned building. On our second morning this alarm randomly starting blaring throughout the hotel. I was conveniently awake but my husband was in the shower. He frantically rinsed off the soap and we quickly got dressed. Went down 7 flights of stairs just to find out it was a false alarm. Really annoying way to start our morning. On our last night we decided to head down to the casino (whatever is left of it.) Its my understanding that drinks are complimentary while playing. As we were playing some games the bartender approached us and offered us a drink. I declined because I didn't feel like drinking but my Husband ordered a beer. He got his beer and kept playing and the bartender aggressively asked for payment. We were confused but paid. He was dismissive towards us and it made us uncomfortable so we decided to leave early. On the day of checkout we planned on voicing our complaints to staff but to no surprise there was no staff around. The entire lobby and front desk were in the process of getting worked on. We were confused on how we were supposed to check out as we never received an email on instructions. Took us about 30 mins to finally find a worker. She mentioned she was busy but she would take our key room cards and check us out when she was free. By this point we were tired of dealing with this hotel so we handed the cards over and left. Will never return to this hotel as they dampened our honeymoon experience.

Yelp
Honestly, the room was fine. They had a phone charger that didn't work and the coffee maker was in the bathroom. The beds were fine. The room was clean when I got there. They didn't clean the room for us even though we stayed two nights. We talked to another colleague and she said she specifically requested cleaning of her room and they didn't. The view was the roof. I wouldn't stay here again unless I had to. Not accessible.

Yelp
Harvey's Lake Tahoe - What Happened?! I recently stayed at Harvey's Lake Tahoe for my birthday weekend, and I have to say, I am beyond disappointed. When did Harvey's become such a dump? I was fortunate enough to get a free junior suite and was excited--until I saw the room. It was dated, worn out, and honestly not what I expected from a place like Harvey's. It wasn't just the suite that left me disappointed. The entire hotel feels neglected and rundown. I sat at the bar to play video poker while watching the 49ers game, and even the bar was falling apart. The footrest was literally broken off, and everything just seemed old and in need of repair. It felt like nothing had been updated in years. I'm shocked at how far this place has fallen. Harvey's used to be a premier spot in Tahoe, but now it's just sad. I won't be back, and I would suggest looking elsewhere if you're planning a visit to the area.

Yelp
Implode the entire hotel and start over!!!! Not only are the employees clueless, but the rooms are horrible. I would not allow my dog if I had one to stay at this establishment. Never again in this life will I ever stay here and I suggest if you visit South Lake Tahoe find somewhere else to stay. Pictures don't lie and neither do I.

Yelp
The vibe here is very off, the place is difficult to navigate due to massive construction, reeks of cigarettes, the food is minimal, and the service is a bit depressing. Only bonus is they have smoking rooms for those who desire.

Yelp
This hotel is a time capsule with the very vintage style. It pairs well with the typical Lake Tahoe vibe. However there were a few furniture could get updated. Besides that, the room itself had a great amount of room and a well sized bathroom. What was the least convenient was the fact that there was no convenience store available anywhere past a certain time! I was in desperate need for a bottle of water and it felt like I was in survival mode searching for anywhere to get a couple of full sized water bottles. There wasn't even a vending machine available anywhere. I had no choice but to chug my 2 mini water bottles that were given to me in my hotel room, which were pricey for the size by the way. They didn't even satisfy my thirst in the slightest. Harvey's I suggest if you want people to stay and continue to gamble, offer some options on ways to keep your guests hydrated. A vending machine could do so well if the staff isn't available to keep a store open late nights. I'm clearly passionate about my water intake. And basically trauma dumped about the experience

Yelp
DO NOT BOOK. ACTIVE CONSTRUCTION ZONE. I've stayed at hotels under construction before - no problem. This place is a wreck. I got to the "reception desk" and expressed my disappointment. I truly did not feel right/safe staying there. The man said (with an attitude) that my reservation would be canceled and I would receive a refund. Now after waiting several days for this to be resolved... I'm told I will not receive a refund. What a joke. They wasted my money.

Yelp
Casino (as of 4/24/25) is open while under construction. Upon walking through the main doors, I was greeted by a nice new restaurant which I don't remember from before. Restaurant seemed to be very popular during dinner time and it looks very modern. The rest of the casino currently still looks like early 2000's (minus the newer machines) and. The gaming tables did look a bit dead and the craps table was unfortunately closed. I also noticed they had a $25 minimum sign at the craps table and the blackjack dealer did tell me the table only opens up from Friday night and all throughout the weekend. Luckily there are plenty of other casinos next door where they did have open craps tables and their mins were $15 which is still more than I would normally play at my local casinos back in CA. However since it is Tahoe, I guess that's just what it is. I did see someone win a $1300 jackpot from a buffalo penny machine. Our luck on the machines wasn't so great unfortunately.

Yelp
We traveled to South Lake Tahoe to accompany my sister to a wedding she was attending, and thought we'd make a nice weekend in Tahoe out of it, while she attended the wedding. I don't even know where to start so let's start at the beginning: Valet: Valet staff was friendly and quick! No complaints here! Hotel Check-in: When you step into the hotel lobby, there is major construction going on and lots of temporary walls and plastic everywhere. Check-in was quick, there wasn't a line and we were able to check-in early. The clerk let us know that there would be construction going on throughout our stay and I did tell her that isn't a problem as long as we cannot hear it from our room. Also, when signing the hotel agreement, it clearly states NO DOGS. Keep this in mind for Room review below. Room: The rooms are extremely outdated and feel dirty from the time you enter the room. There was a coffee maker with two porcelain cups, but no coffee. I used the Ivy virtual assistant to ask for cups, coffee, cream, and sugar, and housekeeping brought us four coffees. I had to reach out again to ask for the items they forgot, and then we left the room. When we returned, housekeeping failed to leave these items in our room, so I once again had to contact Ivy. COMPLAINT FOR THIS REVIEW: Shouldn't coffee be part of the standard of cleaning the room and left for the new occupants? I shouldn't have to be chasing down housekeeping for something so normal. The first night there, we clearly heard a dog in the next room, whimpering! Luckily it stopped after a few moments. My first thought was how gross that we may be sleeping in a room that a dog may have been in, and if they have dog friendly rooms, shouldn't those be colonized together and not with the rooms that don't allow dogs? I am a Caeser's Rewards Diamond member, and the room I was given was on the 7th floor, overlooking the roof of the lower part of the resort. We had to keep our drapes closed as there were workers on the roofs constantly during the day. I was not treated like a Diamond member at all! Casino: Once you step off the elevators to the casino level, good luck getting any where quickly, The permanent and temporary directional signs were incorrect and led to more confusion than not. There were temporary walls everywhere, construction crews, and you better be careful walking down one of the temporary corridors, there are workers up on scissor lifts with hard hats on, so it was extremely concerning that we were walking under a worker that could have easily dropped a tool on us. We had to go that way too, it was the only way to get through that area. This happened during the day on the three days we were there. Once you find your way to the casino, you will not need a jacket! It as extremely and uncomfortably hot in the casino, no matter what area you were in. This lead to a very smoky environment with no air circulation. If you like to play slot machines, they definitely have several of the new games that are out, so that was a little bonus. Food: Our first night in Tahoe, we made a reservation at Wolf by Vanderpump. That restaurant gets five stars under a separate review that I created! Harvey's lacks restaurants and getting to El Jefe's under the tunnel is like a mouse looking for the cheese in a maze! They also have Hell's Kitchen (pricey), a small coffee cart tucked away in the construction mess. We made it to Harrah's to Brew Brothers, which was another good restaurant. Harrah's has the River Cafe' downstairs but it closes at 2pm daily. Where are the 24 hour coffee shops for the late night folks, or if you want a late lunch? You will have to walk down South Lake Tahoe Blvd to find food. Room Service: Sure there is room service, called Caesers Eats, but the only restaurants you can order from are Wolf, El Jefe's, Hell's Kitchen, Sage Streak House, and some other seafood and steakhouse. None of these restaurants had a simple sandwich that you could choose. We were so overwhelmed by all the construction, constantly getting lost due to detours where there was work being performed, and the overly hot casino, we left a day earlier than we had planned. I get it - Caesers Republic (aka Harvey's) will probably look like a whole new place once it's completed (estimated completion June 30th), but we will never stay at Harvey's again. In addition: I forgot to mention that the Harvey's property allows dogs. Not just service dogs, all dogs! I love dogs, I have two small dogs at home, but to allow people to roam freely around the casino floor with their dogs, and the inside of the property, is unacceptable and unsanitary! I observed two dogs going after each other as they passed in the casino. No workers came over to see what was happening.

Yelp
A family of 3 attempted to enter our room at 11 pm... after their key card failed, they continued to knock at our door until we opened it. They showed their card + envelope, which appeared to be our same room number, 561. We're not checking out until tomorrow. After calling the front desk, waiting 10 minutes and being redirected multiple times since no one was answering, the front desk mentioned they had written 567.. even though the families envelope said otherwise... and had mentioned they already "talked to said family... sorry, good night" Thanks Harveys! We still need to get up before 6 am today. Great way to end and ruin our vacation. What was more fun had been Construction starting at 8:30 am on the 12th floor. It started with ropes and scaffolding being setup, and by 9:15 am, the entire room was shaking, with a heavy vibration noise. So much for the family being able to sleep in. By the way, it would be great if there was shower gel included in our stay when we had arrived for our trip this and last weekend, rather than having to call room service or obtain it from the front desk... not sure why the front desk only gave us one when we asked.. low quantity? Frugality?

Yelp
Our trip was Oct 5, 2023 for a little getaway. We booked a free one night stay with our Wyndham rewards classic king room nonsmoking 360 sq ft room. Pros: We were very surprised to be upgraded to a Luxury King room #1215 in the Tahoe tower when we checked in. That's never happened to us before. When we went into the room it was a spacious 525 sq foot King room with a beautiful lake view. No smells. Bed was very comfortable. Staff we encountered on several occasions was great and they were friendly. Sheets and carpet were clean. Coffee maker in bathroom. By the bed stand on both sides 2 plugs & 2 USB plugs for charging. We had a great stay and would stay again if in the area. Cons were for our room condition only: Dried up soda spray & drips above bed. Large Hair clump on top of shower drain A few hairs here & there can be missed but not what we saw. No reason if room cleaned and walk through done guests should see these things wrong in a room. Other issues maintenance needs to fix: Toilet paper holder is L shaped & hangs downward needs to be tightened as roll falls off. Light by bed was burned out. The shower door didn't close all the way about a. inch and a half opening. So when taking shower we had a good amount of water on the ground soaking the towel mat completely. Tv had a lot of pixilation in the images on most channels & hard to watch the show we wanted to see. A couple channels were just fine so don't think it was the Tv. These were all reported at check out.

Yelp
Warning: Avoid Harrah's Harveys in Lake Tahoe (of Caesars Entertainment) and GuestReservations.com I'm sharing this to save others from the nightmare I went through. My recent stay at Harvey's Lake Tahoe was a complete disaster, and the way they handled (or didn't handle) my complaints afterward was even worse. Here's what happened: * The card key to my room didn't work FOUR TIMES, forcing me to trek back and forth across the resort every time. * When I finally got into the room, it was nothing like what was advertised. Dingy, poorly lit, and rundown. * Worst of all, there were bed bugs. Yes, bed bugs. * To top it off, the cleaning staff ignored the "Do Not Disturb" sign and barged in while I wasn't fully clothed. Privacy, who? It only got worse when I tried to address these issues with management. * The manager responded to my first email and call, then completely ghosted me afterward--ditching all further attempts at communication. * They diverted me to a security officer instead of speaking to me directly. * A manager on the phone confirmed I'd get a full refund, but then they backtracked and refused to honor it. Adding to the frustration: I booked through GuestReservations.com, which, in hindsight, feels like a scam. Their website is misleading, and now I'm stuck dealing with both their shady practices and the disaster at Harrah's Harveys. This was the most unprofessional and uncomfortable experience I've ever had at a hotel. If you're considering staying here or booking through GuestReservations.com--don't. Spare yourself the headache and stress. Feel free to share this to help others avoid the same nightmare.

Yelp
BEWARE!! THIS PLACE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION. We came from Bay Area over here for kids spring's break. We were told that there was a hot tub . There is not . The casino is under construction. There is only a couple tables. And only 1 blackjack. We waited over a hour in a small space full of smoke to gamble and no one ended up leaving. So we left. Everything is dingy & outdated. It was extremely hard to get in touch with front desk. When we did the manager was being very difficult. We paid for 2 nights. We wanted to check out and leave because of how bad this place is. We were ok with paying for 1 night , we're here right now. But there is no way we want to be here another night. Manager is telling us to walk across the street to other casinos or go downtown. That's not why we chose to stay here. He is really giving us a hard time. I have 2 teens here and they are extremely bored. Rooms are a good size & I love the bathroom. Beds are super uncomfortable. I would never stay here again. Maybe after the remodel is done.

Yelp
The only thing that makes this establishment 2 stars is the restaurants. I give 5 stars to Wolf, 31/2 to Joes and HK. Almost all of the gaming tables are closed, the crap table is only open on the weekends. The slots are tighter than a closed fist. Beware, some of the bathroom stalls are without TP. Just my humble opinion.

Yelp
I booked this room having never stayed here. The website looked good and the pictures were nice. Once I checked in, I realized that half of the hotel/casino is under renovation with heavy construction areas at every turn. I understand that they want to remodel, but they should have to give you a heads up when booking. I also paid extra for a room with a view and was put on the 7th floor where all I could see was more construction. And to add insult to injury, there is a $20 a day parking added on. I brought a girl with me and was honestly embarrassed to stay here. I plan to look for a different hotel in the morning. Do not stay here.

Yelp
I went here with my Elite Yelp friends to eat dinner at Hell's Kitchen. They were having a special event and valet was 50 bucks. Lucky for my status valet was free. So nice. The valet took down my card. We went inside and they were doing a free tasting of pre made drinks. Like the ones you get at Costco. We of course had to try some. We made our way up to Hell's Kitchen for dinner. So yummy. There are no restrooms in the restaurant and I had to walk forever to get to the bathroom. How inconvenient. You walk out the restaurant and go right to the end of the casino. You have to go up two escalators and it's all the way to the back. Wow. Wish they had more restrooms here. I wanted to gamble after dinner and I didn't see a high roller section for the slots. They use to have one right across from the restaurant. I asked the craps table and the pit boss said they don't have one anymore. How disappointing. I will have to go to Harrah's where there is a high roller section. Of course I still gambled here anyway. Did pretty good too. As I was getting my car at the valet the guy said I will have to pay. I told him I didn't need to. He asked for my card and he said ok. He retrieved my car and I went to open the door for my wife and he just walked away, leaving my door open. I asked my wife if the key was in the car and she said it was. I was holding his tip in my hand and looked at him. He came over and took the tip but didn't say a word. I guess I got him upset for some reason. Kind of rude of him. I guess I shouldn't have given him a tip. It sure left a bad taste in my mouth. The previous valet was totally nice, the one who took my car. Of course I tipped him too. Oh well. Still left a winner.

Yelp
we reserved a double bed room months in advance for 4 th of July. we arrived at mid night and they told us because they over booked there is no double bed room available and offered us a king size bed room with 50 dollars to compensate, we refused. later they said there is nothing they can do ,only to put a foldable bed, after 45 minutes they brought a single foldable bed which was not acceptable for us. then we found out that they have 32 room with king size bed available but they said than they have to keep it until 3:00 AM. so why they didn't keep our room! finally they offered a one king size bed room and later they gave us a room with double bed. it means that they had the room and didn't want to give us. Dispicable service by supervisor. go to motel is better than this.

Yelp
These rooms in the old Tower are literally like a jail cell. Two people in one room is a crowd literally the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Only benefit is you are in Tahoe

Yelp
Harvey's is one of our favorite places to stay. Every staff member from the valets who park our car, the bellemen who bring up our luggage, the front desk staff who check us in and the housekeeping staff who bring me extra pillows and blankets are ALWAYS FANTASTIC. The rooms are always clean and quiet. The beds are super comfortable, the sheets are soft and the pillows are perfect. The rooms have floor to ceiling windows with incredible views of the lake and peekaboo windows that open to let in the night air. The door separating the toilet from the rest of the bathroom space is a plus. There are separate floors and areas non-smokers and those who do and the smoke free rooms smell nice and clean. We stayed in a Mountain View Junior Suite. The room was huge and we still had a pretty awesome view of Lake Tahoe. The first time we visited South Lake Tahoe was August 27, 1980. We arrived at 4:00 pm to crowds of people cheering the large cloud of smoke billowing into the air from the bomb that had just been "accidentally" detonated by FBI bomb squad specialists. You can learn about the history of Harvey's before and after "The Bomb" at the following link in a story created by local TV news channel KCRA https://youtu.be/W9l2VOqTlLM?feature=shared

Yelp
We usually come by here and stay for a couple nights to gamble and explore around Stateline especially at Heavenly Village. There wasn't really much going on around here in this resort, but just to simply play slot machines in the casino, which is nice to play with. They do have an arcade at the first floor, but it's pretty small. The only thing that really stands out is the suite we decided to stay at. The rooms are big and there are a couple of bathrooms. However, they don't have complementary water bottles not even inside the mini refrigerator. So far, this is a fine resort to stay if you want to explore around Stateline and gamble.

Judy B.

Yelp
Dangerous to stay here. Under renovations and room breaking are significant. If you stay here lock up all valuables and if you are in a suite don't think taking a shower is private. You may have a workman hanging outside your window. Also, don't be surprised if you are single woman if a man enters your room uninvited.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our stay at Harvey's recently. We stayed in the tower with a lake view room on the 17th floor!! There are three things I care about in a hotel room: Cleanliness, the shower, and the bed. For our room, it was clean and tidy and smelled good. The shower was a TEN. Huge walk in shower with a tall shower head and good water pressure. The bathroom was really large with lots of storage space and soft towels. Now...the only negative... The bed. It was HARD as a prison cot. Like really hard to the point that neither one of us slept a wink. The blanket/covers were as thin as paper. Not luxurious at all. The view was amazing from our room. The check in staff and the valet staff were courteous and professional. There is a Starbucks in the lobby (yeah!) But two drinks ( a latte and a Frappuccino) were $22.00 so you definitely pay for the convenience. The hotel itself feels on the older side - which it is. They have great restaurants and we ate at Wolf - that was so good.
