Cafe 53

I had a great experience here! I was just looking for a quick snap before a work event and popped in around 6 on a Thursday night. It was not crowded at all. The fruit in the buffet was some of the best I’ve ever seen. All the workers were nice and helpful. The coffee drinks they make for you (lattes and such) are reasonably priced. The buffet prices are similar to other places like this in the area. Overall a great place for a quick bite!

I work right next to them, I usually get my coffee and baconeggandcheese depending on my mood. Food is a nice quality I just don’t eat that often to say enough but breakfast is on point. But my whole point of this review is the quality service, it’s outstanding because the cashier ladies and even the owner are super nice, since I order the same thing all the time. They remember my order without I having to make any changes. The atmosphere is what you’d expect from a cafe busy at certain points of the day breakfast and lunch, with an assortments of different kinds of items.

I have to echo another reviewer’s sentiment: hidden gem. This place is pretty big with so many options. We were really looking for fresh grab and go eats and Cafe 53 hit the spot. We actually came here a couple of times we liked it so much. I really enjoyed the made to order breakfast sandwiches. There is something for everyone here for sure. When you want something fast and you don’t want to pay a fortune you really can’t beat this place.

I was surprised to see Google Maps prompting me to submit another review, but I AM more than happy to do so. From Saturday, August 20, until Sunday, August 21, 2022, my life partner, another Gay male couple and I attended Flame Con 2022. Flame Con is the premier LGBTQ comic con. It was held at the Sheraton Times Square hotel. Cafe 53 is very conveniently located on the same block as the main hotel entrance. The coffee is wonderful, the staff is very professional and polite, there are indoor and outdoor tables, hot fold, cold food, hot beverages, cold beverages and lots of snacks, treats and a wide variety of options to satisfy virtually every palate and dietary requirement. They even sell wine! There is a key to the bathroom behind the counter and it was refreshing to see staff wearing face masks. I was well taken care of, and look forward to returning the next time I AM in that area.

the good thing about whole food market is that you weigh it yourself. and for the same price i have more and it's better than café 53. so i suspect several chains of inflating the prices. the fruits are not sweet or not ripe

Hidden GEM....super clean. So many options not only for buffet, but fresh made food and beverages/snacks. Visited twice while in city for conference.
