"On the ground floor of Ethiopian Village, an affordable senior living facility, is Avole’s flagship cafe, a sleek space that is a great showcase for Ethopian coffee. This is a homecoming of sorts — Avole started out on Rainier Avenue but moved up to a (fairly small) space in the Central District in 2022, which is still open. Many of its offerings come from Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia, known for rich, chocolatey flavor with explosive berry notes. Co-founder Solomon Dubie observed the Ethiopian coffee ceremony from an early age, and has an instinctive feel for taste." - Harry Cheadle

Without exaggeration, this may be the best coffee I’ve ever had in my entire life. Truly exceptional coffee. Zero corners cut. Delicious bean. Clean water. Precise temperature. I had an Americano. This is my new favorite coffee shop. These folks are experts. Zero hipster pretentiousness. This coffee is “destination worthy” —as opposed to a solely convenient location. Put it on your list.

This is our new favorite coffee shop in Seattle! The shop is incredibly clean, the food is some of the best I’ve ever had, and the coffee is top tier. We had blueberry muffins and a serving of ful, this is a newly weekly spot for our family. I couldn’t recommend more!

Cafe Avole is my favorite coffeeshop in the south end! Where to start about what I love? The coffee tastes fantastic, the team is so kind, the vibe is great, it’s truly a community gathering hub, and the ful is must-try!

Everyone was friendly and there is indoor/outdoor seating. We had an awesome conversation with the barista because we noticed they sell unroasted coffee as well. He explained to us that many Ethiopian families roast coffee at home. Really cool to learn more about coffee and their drinks are tasty!

Really minimalist place in a good way, was walking around just exploring from San Diego and found this place. My default measurement of a coffee shop is a cortado. To be fair it wasn't on the menu but a chill barista helped the others with it. And honestly one of the best pulls of espresso I've had, coco, nutty, low acid. Coffee cake was solid too.
