Where To Eat Along The London Pride Parade - London - The Infatuation

"Cafe Boheme is that rare restaurant that can both cure a hangover and create one. We have a feeling you’re probably interested in the latter so we’re going to go ahead and whisper the magic words: ‘Kissing Goose’. This is just one of the refreshing—think strawberry, lemon, basil, and vodka—cocktails available at the moody, all-day brasserie along Old Compton Street. It’s open until 3am on Saturdays and given its location in Soho’s LGBTQIA+ epicentre, you can expect live music and people merrily drinking out on the pavement seating until the early hours." - heidi lauth beasley, sinead cranna

Cafe Boheme Review - Soho - London - The Infatuation

"Cafe Boheme is the type of restaurant that can cure a hangover and create one. Open from early until late every day of the week, this French brasserie understands that not just meals, but life itself, takes place on Old Compton Street. It’s ready and waiting with 9am viennoiserie for shoppers with prolific Instagram handles, and it’s still reliably good for charcuterie and a glass of wine circa 2am on a Saturday night. Outside of the distinctly Left Bank look and regular live jazz nights, the menu is also the perfect fit for any Francophile’s moodboard. Some of the larger meat and fish dishes can be a touch dry, so it’s worth ordering with a Victor Hugo mentality—the classic soupe a l’oignon, fromages du jour, and zesty, white wine moules marinères are all safe bets. It’s one of our favourite Soho spots for a date night drink with polite pâte nibbles, especially when the sun hits the alfresco pavement tables and romancing is both desired and required. photo credit: Safia Shakarchi" - Heidi Lauth Beasley

London’s Best Steak Restaurants | Where to Eat Steak in London | Eater London

"A Soho institution reopened in January 2018. Cafe Boheme, a competent imitation French bistro on the corner of Old Compton Street and Greek Street, has been missed since its closure for refurbishment in 2016. The best thing on the menu are classics, like steak frites and escargots with smoked bacon and garlic, can be ordered until the early hours — the kitchen closes at 3am, making it an anomaly with peculiarly irony in what is one of the great centres of London night life." - Adam Coghlan

Google
Service was okay, but I didn’t care for the decor or atmosphere. Had originally requested sitting at the bar but that was really cramped; but there was no issue switching this for a table. I’m not really a fan of French food and was only eating there as a friend wanted to have Steak Tartare, which he really enjoyed. Unfortunately, I had quite a limited choice of what I fancied eating from the menu. I thought about having an omelette but in the end I chose the Poulet and Frits, which was very tasty. I won’t be returning, but my friend certainly will. Service charge of 13.5% was steep taking everything into consideration.

Google
Fantastic atmosphere in this newly opened cafe and restaurant. I came after a bad day, and had this fantastic freddo espresso on the house, just because Alex at the bar wanted me to try it the way they make it in Greece: when does that happen in London?! Real, true hospitality, you can tell these are passionate people, and are not in hospitality just for lack of alternatives like many others. Amazing addition to the neighborhood!

Google
Very cute café! We stumbled upon it, because there was a line in front of a restaurant we found on google maps. Very happy to end up at Cafe Boheme. Breakfast and coffee was very nice (good flavours) and the service was perfect. Very nice staff!

Google
Really busy French restaurant. The atmosphere was great the service was good the food a little disappointing.. the snails were good and the devilled eggs were nice. Can be difficult to have a conversation as it is very noisy..

Google
Quick visit for after work drinks. Great atmosphere, live jazz music until 5:30 on a Thursday. Tried a cocktail and it was fantastic. Can’t remember the name but had vodka, strawberry and basil in. Very good flavours. Recommend

WOW!!! Great service, amazing food and coffee, cool french atmosphere. I’m glad we made the choice to come here for our last day in London. Superb!

Google
I am so tempted to tell you not to go here because I don't want it to get more crowded. But honestly this place is one of the best in Soho. It's so reasonably priced for the quality of food, it has some of the best live music in London, and is right in the middle of everything. It is such a great place to hang out. The tables on the outside face toward the street so you get free entertainment (people lining up outside G-A-Y and sometimes arguing). I always used to bring people here, it's really great. Super cosy inside.

Google
Came in for the vibe, sat for the fab wine line list, hung out for the great food and ended up staying for 2 hours because of the amazing live jazz. Everything was fantastic.

Yelp
FAST We were attending the Harry Potter play just around the corner and heard the music playing here and had to come in. These two guys jammed to some of the best Spanish Music in town. FAST review Food: is just ok, not many options, I had the potato, mushroom leak pie and we also got the chicken club, along with a side of sweet potato fries. The fries were really good. The beers were 2/3 pints and fairly priced. Atmosphere: these two guys were awesome. Playing some great music. Bohemian feel, nice bar. Service: the young lady serving us was really nice. Tips: definitely keep an eye out for music.

Yelp
I was craving escargot and steak tar tar. The snails were dry and old and were covered in huge bacon bits which overwhelmed the taste of escargot ( maybe on purpose ). I am a purist and asked if they would hold the bacon and they said no. I assumed it was part of some sauce. The fact that they were huge pieces makes me wonder why they couldn't just not put them on top. Tar tar was mediocre and the mustard overwhelmed the beef. The most disappointing things were that I was forgotten and it took the staff 25 to come back with my beer and to take my order. The other thing, the ceiling above the bar and all around the patrons and the food are fruit flies. I've worked in restaurants my whole life and it's a clear sign the the bugs are breeding by the bar. Bars often don't clean underneath the surfaces and don't flush out sink pipes, ice drain pipes, and floor drains, along with the rubber mats. That's where they breed. I think this spot is a tourist trap - maybe? But quality of food is definitely a disappointment

Yelp
Came for drinks & really enjoyed it. The service was quick & they have live music as well. Would come back!

Yelp
Delicious English breakfast with attentive and friendly staff. Wonderful ambiance. Highly recommend.

Yelp
We're tourists from NYC and were eager to enjoy a proper full English breakfast before heading back! We stumbled upon this cozy café and decided to give it a try. Despite being a bit understaffed, we eventually got the menu and placed our order. Surprisingly, the coffee and food arrived swiftly and tasted delightful! The full English breakfast was particularly outstanding, and I am certain that I'll return for it on my next London trip!

Yelp
The website advertises a before theater fixed price menu. When I got there I was told it was not available even though I arrived before the dinner theater period ended. The standard menu offered a free glass of wine or water. I ordered sparkling water and was later told it didn't qualify for the menu special with my food order. Now for the food, they had run out of the entrecôte which why I had made a reservation here in the first place. Too late to change restaurants as I had theatre tickets starting in a little over an hour. I got the hanger steak instead and it was excellent. Tasty, tender, not too fatty and cooked a perfect medium rare. It came with some béarnaise sauce. The frites were really good. The free glass of wine was a vin ordinaire and not very tasty.

Yelp
Had best time here Singer was amazing performing out front Drinks were good Oysters not the best I would prob get something else food wise next time Great fun crowd highly recommend

Yelp
Came here for lunch and got the omelette, unfortunately this is one of the worse omelettes I've had. Eggs were hard and overcooked, not soft at all. And not much inside the omelette. They also charged us for tap water and pressured my friend to order an extra side of carrots that was 6 pounds...

Yelp
Came here after a show in London... We're just looking for any place that might be open after the show is over... Not an easy thing to find in 100 by the way. Anyways, who stumbled upon this place and the food was really good! Salad and steak and burger and the omelette we're all delicious! I would definitely recommend this.

Yelp
Service was quite slow and we were perpetually asking for more water, but the food was very good. Quite pricey as well, but food was very good. We started with an onion soup and charcuterie board. The onion soup was very good, perhaps a bit light on cheese, but very good. Charctuterie was tasty as well. I went for the salmon while my wife and friend both went for the bavette steak et frites. The salmon was excellent, but would've hoped for a bit more fish for the price tag. Same story for the steak - it was very good but would've hoped for a bit more for the price point.

Yelp
This is a great in Soho for people watching or just to grab a drink. My co-worker and I came here a couple different times and enjoyed hanging out. It's open late and has a great vibe with the old 1930's feel. It can be very loud though when the place is hopping. Lots of tables and a large bar to sit around. They serve food, but I haven't tried any of it. We came here both times because the place is open pretty late into the night.

Yelp
Solid cocktails. Props to the waiter for managing to serve us relatively quickly despite how busy it was!

Yelp
Café Boheme is a deliciously quaint French brasserie and bar on Old Compton Street in Soho. It has those foldable front facades which open the restaurant onto the street - perfect for this surprisingly sunny, shower-free summer weather. Five of us squeezed around a table on the absolute fringe of the restaurant and the street, just behind the brilliant guitarists whose bluesy riffs, like the pied piper, had guided us there in the first place. This eatery has oodles of charm and ambience. Having tanked up on possibly the best kababs in town at Kian Samyani's Berenjak (@berenjaklondon) around the corner on Romilly street, we ate nothing at Café Boheme. But we drank quite a bit. Lager at first (gotta wash them kababs down with something) but then we switched to Ford's gin as the blues got the better of us. Service? Super! In fact, our severely overcrowded table found the staff friendly, foreign and attentive. I cannot think of an afternoon I have enjoyed more than this in a long, long time. If you are in Soho, seek this place out. You won't be disappointed. Hey! Now read this - Xerxes physically dines at, or orders from, each and every venue he reviews. Yelp
A few friends and I went to Café Boheme for a drink and overall, it was a happening spot for the bar scene, but not much else. We were able to snag a table outside, so watching the hustle and bustle of SoHo was fun. Service was rather slow outside, unfortunately, so we had to wait a while for drinks. There was some confusion, because eventually we thought we had to order in the bar area, and then ended up ordering two drinks each because the waiter finally came around outside while someone was inside. The peanuts they served with the wine were rancid, and we had to send them back. Because of the peanut issue, we decided not to have dinner here, and just settled the check after a bottle of rosé. The drinks are not too pricey, so that's not bad. Overall, this is just a random bar in SoHo. Can't remember much special about Café Boheme, so that's all I have to say...

Yelp
I've only been for cocktails, which were all worth five stars, but am giving four stars as I haven't tried their food. The cocktail with apple juice and passion fruit is my absolute favourite. Sweet but adequately alcoholic, it always pleases my palate. My friends got the spicy one and the berry one, and they were both phenomenal. I particularly liked the spicy one as it was very unique, genuinely spicy and refreshing all at once. Would like to try out their food sometime too. As for cocktails, they are definitely amongst the top of my list.

Yelp
I've been here for food and drinks, but in the main, cocktails and drinks. It is a buzzing small gem of a place. From the smiling bouncer on the door to the eccentric enthusiastic bar team. You can ask for the normal run of the mill drinks and cocktails to the wonderful and sublime. The bar area has a Sherlock Holmes selection and brass and feel to it and it makes for a perfect evening with friends. Having said that, you end up talking to randoms too, perfectly bizzarre, class, tasty and fun! The food is always of a high standard, although in the main I have been here for breakfast, which always delivers and is of the highest quality and always presented beautifully. More top end hotel breakfast than cafe end". I love coming back here time and time again and it is a reliable place to take friends and family when they visit me in London. Never fails.

Yelp
What a lovely little cafe. Very French feeling. Stopped in for Sunday brunch and was surprised the place was quite empty. This was a good thing as most brunch places in the area have huge queues on the weekend. The food was delicious all around. I can recommend the omelette, the French toast with pecan butter, sausage, and the toast with avocado and a poached egg (with loads of avocado piled high). Service was excellent, attentive, accommodating to dietary restrictions, and very friendly. I'll definitely be coming back for another meal or a post-show drink!

Yelp
Have drinks here but perhaps consider eating before you arrive. The location is wonderfully placed in the heart of Soho, but that's really as exciting as it get. They offer a theatre menu which is great value for money, in theory. However in practise it was pretty grim. Starter Whitebait - The batter used had far to much flour and not enough seasoning. Main Rump Steak - This cow must have been a hunk of a heifer as my piece of arse was mainly fat, and not in a phat kinda way. Dessert - I passed and pudding and simply ordered more champagne! The Grey Goose Fizz is tart but tremendous - just how I like it. More wine vicar!

Yelp
When eating in in Soho, I know I'm safe in the hands of Cafe Boheme. In my humble opinion, this is one of the best places around and does one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. It's Parisian, moody, 90's chic feel has got me written all over it. It's always heaving so you may need to wait at the bar for a little while for a table, but it's definitely worth it. The drinks on offer are fantastic too. Impressive wine list, cocktails, and the strongest, tastiest little coffees. Being French this was always going to be a winner with me, the menu is simple and to die for, and the food is executed to perfection. C'est magnifique! This time around I went for the deep fried Camembert with onion chutney to start, it was like a little piece of heaven melting in my mouth... Drool. The onion had a slight cinnamony taste which I usually don't like but it really worked nicely here. I went for the fillet steak frites, with a peppercorn sauce and accompanied by green beans. It was knock out. Every time I come it never fails me. Lovely relaxed but buzzing atmosphere. Adore this place it's such a fail safe option in sea of uncertainty.

Yelp
Café Boheme has become my boyfriend and I's go to spot to talk and relax. We go because we love the atmosphere and the dark wooden bar. When we go to Café Boheme we go to share a bottle of wine, the food looks good, but we've never eaten there (mental note, make plans for dinner). What we enjoy is outstanding customer service and a good bottle of white wine. We have tried several bottles and have yet to be disappointed, even their less expensive wines are very good. While we sit, we people watch, after all it is Soho! Café Boheme is the perfect spot for a pre-theatre or pre-dinner drink. It is also an ideal after work spot because you are able to have drinks in a nice intimate place and just enjoy the atmosphere and the company!

Yelp
I randomly came here for breakfast on my last day of my London trip and I'm glad I did. I was on a hunt for a proper Guinness and Beef pie (yes for breakfast) but could not find any. As my stomach rumbled and was getting tired of lugging my luggage around town I found this one place to be only restaurant open (or so i thought) at 7:45am on a weekday. When I opened the door there was no one inside but the staff. I asked if they were open yet and answered with a kind greeting and said they'll be at 8 but I could come in. I ordered their full english breakfast (proper way to end my trip in my opinion) with a cup of black coffee (americano). The coffee was well made and strong just the way I like it, and the breakfast was just the way I would like it, hearty and yummy. Throughout my meal the staff checked up on me to make sure everything was ok. This establishment is also at a great location, right next to soho, leicester square, and covent gardens. I'd defintely would visit this place again on my next trip down to London town. oh, and they have free wifi too! (you'll just have to ask the staff for the password)
google avatar

Yelp
I stumbled into this place on a very merry evening. I've walked past it many a time but I have never had the urge to go in, maybe this is because it looks quite sophisticated and pretentious. It's in the centre of Soho's gay district and it had a good mix of all sorts of people from all over the world which created a great mixing pot and totally countered my initial impression of it being pretentious. The wines were good (not that i know a great deal about wines!) but they can get quite pricey. They ranged from £13 a bottle right up to £50 but you really get the continental feel of a French Wine Bar. It's a good place to stop off in before going to a club. If you were looking for somewhere to take a date though I'd chose somewhere else as it can get VERY busy in there and it's difficult to have a conversation.
google avatar

Arabella G.

Yelp
Café Boheme is lovely in a predictably poetic French kind of way. Granted, I've seen the occasional Big Brother 'star' here during the evening but all in all this lovely bar/bistro is a relaxed, chic establishment with great service and a lovely atmosphere. Tables can be hard to come by, but I've shown up with large groups of people before without a booking and the endlessly charming staff have managed to squeeze us in. All in all a great place for a drink in Soho which is even lovelier during the summer with its outside seating.
google avatar

Nicole H.

Yelp
Good Wine... ok food and service. Went with a friend craving French. Ambiance is cozy and staff friendly in general if inattentive. It was a challenge to keep our wine and water glasses full throughout the night. We ordered a grilled artichoke salad thinking we would get large halves of fresh artichoke but it was a big plate of leaves with 4-5 tiny pieces of canned artichoke hidden underneath. I wouldn't recommend. I ordered the moules frites for my main. The frites were delicious crispy and salty. The mussels were disappointing- rubbery and flavorless. The wine list was decent and the bottle we shared was lovely. I'd go back but only if convenient and just for a drink.

Laura E.

Yelp
About 1,5 hours after having the granola with coconut yogurt and the turmeric latte with oat milk, I puked my guts out. No, I am not pregnant. So, if you still want to go there, just avoid having what I had. Thank you for a really unpleasent experience, Café Boheme.

Yelp
This is my favorite spot in SoHo for an amazing late night burger and glass of Champagne. Sexy lighting, candles, beautiful people and great music!
google avatar

Yelp
My reason for falling in love with Café Boheme was pretty much because of the 3am licence. When I'd finished my shift at the Lab, I'd relax into the Parisian style décor and ambience with a rum & coke and feel good about life. It is a small place that really encompasses the Soho vibe of community mixed with posh, urban splendour. The menu is French and from experience the burger is great and the bangers and mash (I'm not sure they do anymore) was lovely. They are not the cheapest café by a long way, but if it is after hours and you are still hungry and want something good to eat this is the place.

Yelp
Great cosy place, a bit too loud though. Food was very good and reasonably priced! Nice selection of French dishes. The central location adds to the experience.

Yelp
Any night of the week, the nightlife is busy and packed! I've never eaten here, just had drinks on several occasions. Great ambiance - The lighting is dim, the music is loud, and the bar area is packed with thirsty patrons! I really like the strawberry mojitos and the long island with egg whites (i forgot what this was called). Yes, it is odd to have a drink with egg whites on it. I was skeptical at first, but it was good. The drinks were a bit pricey at 8£ or so, but they were good and strong. Its a nice place to people watch. Try to grab a table if you can.
google avatar

Rebecca G.

Yelp
Cafe Boheme is my go-to spot if I need to meet someone for coffee or an afternoon drink at a central location. It's easy to find, you can always get a seat, and I love the heated benches outside where you can watch all of humanity stroll down Old Compton. Yesterday I saw a woman with a parrot, a man wearing patent sparkle purple shoes and a group of nuns all within minutes of each other. The bar service can be hit or miss - we have been known to order French 75s (champagne, gin and lemon juice) in which the first round is great, but the next round is completely different. Fortunately they are always very nice if and when we send our drinks back. Apparently they are working on standardising their drink recipes. The cappucinos are a sure bet - large steaming bowls of frothy milk with good coffee hiding underneath.

Yelp
A unique spot that sits in a great location amongst one of the hippest areas in the capital... Sitting in the very middle of all the Soho-hype, Cafe Boheme offers a welcomed spot to chill out and kick back with some drinks and good selection of food. I've eaten here a few times and both lunch and breakfast menus are good, solid options that will certainly accommodate the majority of taste buds. The setting is also very nice, upon walking in your thrown back a few years and into central Paris. Really french themed atmosphere and they do very well with keeping that feeling going - On sunny days, drinks and table spill out side and you can enjoy the bustle of the city go past. Although I've never had a bad experience in here, it just gets a little too manic for me. I feel they could remove about 10 tables from inside (obviously aware that's bad for business, and there's no need too because people flock to this place) which would give it a lot more of a relaxed and kicked-back feeling. The tables are jammed and on the last lunch visit we had a very small table, ideally for two, but threw the four of us on. It actually didn't fit the 4 plates of food on and I was left eating on my lap. Not a major deal, but just would of been nice on a bigger spot. Saying this, the food and drink is very nice. Very good coffee, that has warranted me visiting on a few occasions and the morning porridge is also a normal go-to. Outside of food, the drinks are also good. They offer some nice cocktails and if you're up for a few of them, it's a nice busy environment to do it! In all, a nice place thats hugely popular and a good way to chill a little in such a busy area. If you want outstanding dishes, I'd probably go elsewhere but still nice to be seen in!...
google avatar

Melissa F.

Yelp
Simply the best place to people watch in Soho. The food and drinks are pretty 2.5 Star quality. But the service is great and the view- never boring.
google avatar

Amlan S.

Yelp
Went there after Taste Of Spain for some drinks. Their wines were good and they had some good live music. Also on a nice sunny day, it is a great street for people watching .... In short .. this is a great place to chill and have a good wine. Their staff was fantastic, when %*&%&^$&)(** guy tried jump the queue and grab our table. Check it out ...

Yelp
A French style cafe in central Soho, we tried this place out for Sunday brunch. It's a cafe/restaurant/bar open til 3am but when we arrived on Sunday morning there was not a hint of Saturday night's partying! The breakfast menu is quite simple and doesn't contain lunch items so it's more of a breakfast than brunch. I had an omelette which was good and it comes with a side of toast. The food was better than average but nothing exquisite. It was quite empty on that Sunday morning which was really refreshing in central London (I'm always trying to find quiet spots amongst the crazy hustle and bustle)! Would definitely come here again!

Yelp
My boyfriend pretty exclusively eats at Cafe Boheme and BKB next door, and now I see why. In my 5 day visit, we went twice for dinner. The scene is fantastic and the food is superb. When an American girl envisions herself dining out in London, she pictures this (or at least, I would). Trendy (for the most part), comfortable with a touch of romance, it's a great place for friends or a one on one dinner. The first night we went, I ordered mussels for a starter, which were meaty and cooked perfectly. And generously served. For a main, I chose the confit duck leg with red cabbage -- extremely tasty, and as a fairly regular duck consumer, it is definitely one of my favorite preparations and combinations of flavor. The meat was savory and tender and fell right off the bone, and the cabbage was a great complement. The second night we went, we shared the ham and cheese croquettes which were absolutely delicious. As a main, I went with the smoked haddock. Also incredibly savory, the wonderful, melt-in-your-mouth haddock with the perfectly seasoned potatoes was excellent. As much as I tease my boyfriend for being such a regular here, I will probably insist upon returning every time I visit.

Yelp
It's hard to not feel in the way during some of the busier periods. However if you are able to get a seat out the front then it is a great venue. If you are seeking a quiet environment best to stay away from inside the establishment during live performances.

Yelp
Cafe Boheme is a French themed bistro on Old Compton Street. It is divided into a bar and a restaurant area, with additional seating outside. It is open for breakfast and doesn't close until quite late. At night it can become quite crowded so best to get here early to get a table otherwise it's not much fun. I prefer to come in the day for brunch when it is less busy. The Eggs Benedict are done particularly well. It is a good place in Central London to eat and drink. I've given it three stars instead of four as, whilst the service is usually good, I came once with a friend and the waiter who served us was pretty stuck up and obnoxious.

Yelp
I adore this place. I love the ambience, good service, moderately priced drinks. This cafe has a solid establishment feel to it. It looks more expensive than it is I would say. Great location, great wine. I haven't eaten here but come here for a couple of bottles of wine and rate it highly. I can't wait to return

Yelp
I was working a lot of weekends at the start of the year (it sucks working on a Sunday), and when I had an hours break I would head down to Old Compton Street for an hours worth of sheer indulgence at Cafe Boheme. Pull up a stool at the bar, take in the eccentric Soho vibe, and order yourself a cocktail, skip the mains and go straight to dessert. Mine is always a creme brulee, sometimes with the addition of a cheese board. The bar staff are great fun, and you can hear live jazz music here on weekend afternoons, always good musicians and it adds to the bohemian feel of the place. Breakfast here is also recommended, come early and enjoy Soho first thing in the morning, when there are less crowds, just locals setting up for the day and the usual Soho characters out and about.

Yelp
I have loved the food here at Cafe Boheme, especially their classic steak tartare and their perfectly crisp pommes frites. But what I cannot STAND is their management. There was a table that was extremely obnoxious and loud next to us and we politely asked the manager to quiet them down. He flat-out refused to do so, saying that it was a bar, after all, and that we could move when a table became free in the dining room. Well, I'm sorry, but you should not SERVE a full-course dinner at the bar if you are going to allow your customers to get that rowdy. It really ruined our meal, even though our waitress, who was from Barcelona, was a real sweetheart.

I came here recently for birthday drinks with some girlie friends. Like all 'trendy' places in Soho with ample outdoor seating (in order to oogle passers by) it's reliably busy. The bar side itself is very small and only has one bar staff on at any given time it seems. They also have bar stools which makes it even more difficult to get served. In addition to the difficulties of getting a seat and getting served, the cocktail list is pretty uninspiring and they only serve beer by the half pint or jug. Despite this, the place exceeded my expectations. The staff were lovely (on the bar side) and very attentive. The overall atmosphere was chilled and the place was full with a good and unpretentious crowd. With the addition of half price on drinks, I can say I had a good night. I say - if you see a table, grab it and get one it.

Yelp
Ordered: Mojitos Price: £8.50 for one. Review: I am a regular here, so I am perhaps slightly biased. I tend to go in the late afternoon for their pitcher of beers with a few old colleagues as we used to work in Mayfair. This time my friends and I had decided to convene at the watering hole in the evening. It is still a very pleasant place, but the volume of people seems to astronomically increase over the hours of the evening. A great place to be with friends for a casual drink at a slightly hyper place. The crowd are pleasant, and the music is neither too obnoxious nor too quiet. I highly recommend it compared to the crowded Dean Street Town House.

Yelp
If you're out for a night in London, this is a good place to head for towards the end of the night. I was recently out with friends and we ended up here after a late meal at another restaurant. The pubs had closed but Cafe Boheme was still open. There was a lively atmosphere and it was quite full but we managed to get seats and stayed for quite a few rounds! The glasses of wine are quite large so I reckon you're drinking about a third of a bottle in one glass. A nice cabernet sauvignon, but I had a huge hangover the next day, so beware large measures they can be deceptive! The bar staff are very entertaining, twirling bottles around and showing off. And when some Michael Jackson music came on, one of them even got up and started dancing and moonwalking! (Quite amusing when you've had a few large glasses of red.) Not cheap, but what can you expect in Soho? I'd definitely go back again.

Yelp
I hadn't been here for years, though I've passed it countless times and always been rather amazed at the hardy customers sitting outside in all weathers. Had lunch there today and it was really quite delightful. The Friday special - sole meuniere - was excellent, and profiteroles were very good for dessert. The staff in particular were excellent: constantly helpful and friendly but not over attentive.

Yelp
I LOVE this place. It is just the most perfectly placed and paced bistro brasserie in London. (My affection is so great that I have the number stored on my phone). The French menu has all the old favourites: French onion soup, Gravadlax, Moules marinières, roast pheasant, thyme & bacon, pommes parisiennes or good old fillet steak, all for around £15 for a main. But it is more about the vibe. This place is fun. The waiters are cheeky and will play with you if you take the bait. The service is wickedly fast and furious. There is a constant busy buzz of lucid conversations sometimes backed up with live jazz. Best to book in advance. If you cant get in - dont panic, there is always the sister venue BBK next door.

Yelp
A good French restaurant in the buzzing heart of Soho. Seriously, you'd swear you were in a Paris brasserie: stools and zinc countertops, coq au vin, steak et frites, cold beers, a massive wine list: it's all here. It's been renovated in recent years too. There's a couple of very dim rooms in the back, but try to snag a pavement table if you can bear the weather. It's an incomparable people-watching spot. There's a medium-sized bar area in front with some small tables, and is decent good choice for a few drinks is you're not in a pub or full-on bar mood. It's got a late license, and remains open until 3am every night but Sunday.

Yelp
BEAUTIFUL French food with many delicious menu choices. I was looking for a place to meet up with a friend visiting from Paris and though it had only been a few weeks since I moved to London from there, I had a hankering for some good French fare. Our table was right at the window which was perfect for people watching as the show across the street let out. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable, and the wine was a perfect match to our meal. I finished the evening with a creme brulée which took me back to Paris with its delicate cream and crunchy top. I felt like I was back "home" again. Definitely a great spot for meeting up with friends and a great place for French food in Soho.

Yelp
Once settled on the comfy leather banquette seating it's always difficult to drag me away. I love everything about this lovely cafe and restaurant. There are two sections one more casual than the other. Coffee is good, cocktails are amazing. From steak tartare to eggs benedict to steak + frites all served by smartly dressed staff in beautiful surroundings. It's a popular place so gets quite packed. On Saturday afternoons they have live jazz and you need to get in early to grab the best seats. Also a wonderful place to while away some time with your newspapers, a good book and a few drinks.

Yelp
Looking for a place close to Tottenham court road, I ended here this morning for brunch with a couple of girl friends and ended up having a great brunch that put this place on my list of places to go on a Sunday morning. The atmosphere is very bohemian French and the service is excellent. The wait stuff was always close bye and ensured everything was as required and that we enjoyed ourselves. I had the £10 Boheme breakfast which comes with and omelette with nice crispy toast, on the spot made freshly squeezed orange juice and loose leave tea. The food was delicious and just the right size ( portions aren't huge, but just enough to fill me up and not have the overstuffed feeling). I am surprised this place isn't packed for Sunday brunch! Will definitely return for more lazy mornings with the girls.

Yelp
Brilliant spot - went here just before Christmas and had an excellent steak. Possibly the best I've ever had in England. Very very good. Nice atmosphere, gets a bit busy though round the bar area (depends on who you are as to whether you think busy is a good thing in a bar / restaurant) Would definitely go again.
