We had a wonderful time here, our first time eating here. Loved the decor and ambiance in both of the rooms, classy and welcoming. They have a large menu, so much to choose from. We shared an order of their puffed bread, it's not on the menu. Then we had the crab & avocado stack, which was excellent and the mussels in white sauce, the sauce was a little too salty. We also shared the seafood boulibaise made with grouper, which was yummy. For dessert we had the dark chocolate mousse and the pistachio tartuffo. The entertainment was top notch. They had 2 singers, male and female, she had an amazing voice. Over the course of the night people were up dancing on a small area in the middle of the room. I'm definitely coming back.

I had an amazing time very friendly fast service. Great music 🎶..Just during the summer it's hard to find parking its a busy area after 5pm so get there a little early. On Friday and Saturday.. other than that I highly recommend 👌 👌👌👌👌

Amazing! Seth was our waiter, he was great and extremely helpful. I had the fettuccine Bolognese and it was food of the gods. My friend had the duck confit and it was out of this world. Everything was the best. Chocolate mousse was so delicious. Go here, you will not be disappointed. Even their live music was good. I'm not usually into that with my dinner but this was enjoyable. I will be back.

The other day I went to Cafe Centro for lunch and wow, what an amazing experience! The pasta was delicious, and the service was top-notch. Sal, the owner, was always around making sure we had everything we needed. You can tell he truly cares about his guests. I’ve heard they have live music at night, which I haven’t tried yet, but I’ll definitely be back to enjoy it. They also have a full bar. Highly recommend this spot for a great meal and warm hospitality!

This is great place for dinner and dancing with friends! The food and the atmosphere are great! The owners seem to really care about the customer and I appreciate that. My favorite is their soup and their pasta options. If you are lucky, you will get a bluesy performance while eating!

In town on biz and all my favorite haunts are closed on a Monday night! Came into Cafe Centro, awesome. Live piano music, great service, lovely setting and exceptional food. This Northwood Village neighborhood is beautiful and quaint. The appetizer special grilled octopus was perfect and the rest of the menu looks amazing, from gourmet pizzas to super nice entrees. Great choices.

My experience in West Palm Beach was truly unforgettable - the food was delicious and amazing !!! 🤤🤤🤤 The atmosphere in the restaurant was also wonderful. I’ll definitely be coming back next time.

Been in business since2006 so must be doing things right. Located in the best spot at corner of Main Street in Northwood. Started off in two largish rooms and added another room to make quite a large restaurant. They have delightful pizza. Good service and reasonable parking. They offer other food items in a cafe sort of way. They also have jazz and other live entertainment nights which seem to get fully booked. Cool place

Celebrated my 91st birthday at Cafe Centro. Could not have wished for a better birthday! Joyce, Michelle, Sean, Jonathan, the bus staff, Susan Merritt trio all helped to make it a joyous occasion. Food was excellent. The friendliness of other patrons, especially the group celebrating the 81st birthday of beautiful Michelle made my day even more special! My heartfelt thanks to owner, staff and patrons who participated! Each help restore faith in humanity in this sometimes gloomy world.

Wow! This was one of the best nights out in a while! The company, the food, ambience, and entertainment especially... Everything was phenomenal. Be prepared to dance and have a wonderful time! Some highlights from the menu were the beet salad and the mushroom pizza. The salad dressing was light and tasty and the beets were delicious. The pizza was a perfect serving size to get full and have leftovers for lunch the next day and the crust is thin and delicious. We also had a couple of drinks and they were strong and very yummy. I really enjoyed the espresso martini. The service was so fast and friendly as well! I will definitely be back!

Such a fun evening in the piano bar listening to Copeland Davis! What a talent! Enjoyed the puff bread and the special lemon sole---Gina was an attentive and knowledgeable server. Our party of eight all raved about the evening over nightcaps of espresso martinis!

Had the best time on a girls night out. Ari and Charles were fantastic and provided excellent service. Definitely coming back

Another extraordinary night of jazz, dinner, and fun for a group of us enjoyed a great night out. I went with a delicious pork chop, and it was perfectly cooked with their roasted cream corn. Apps I had the Roasted Delicious Chicken Wings. It's a little pricey but so good. my wife had the seafood over linguine. corn was so tasty! Our waiter was excellent and kept checking to make sure we were doing perfect.

Went here last night and had a reservation on the side that featured live music. There were two female vocalists singing hits from the 70s thru present that were fantastic. They sang everything from Donna Summer to Bruno Mars to Madonna. Dinner was also great. My wife and I shared a Mediterranean salad and our friends shared a Caesar salad. Both very good. For mains my wife had grilled salmon and said it was very good. I had the grouper bouillabaisse which featured a large portion of grouper along with some other shellfish and it was delicious. Our friends had chicken parmigiana ( said it was great) and capellini with crab special which he said was somewhat disappointing because it lacked flavor. Overall a great evening!

What a lovely place to dine. Remind me of some places in NYC. I had the muscles and linguini 7/10. It was missing garlic & salt. They do not have Italian bread‍. They serve many Italian dishes including pizza, but no Italian bread. They sell a pita bread that they cook up with olive and rosemary oil, forgot the price. My friend had the scallops. OMG. They were great!!! 10/10. Seared to perfection, buttery and melted in your mouth. The Prosecco wine was single serve, it was good and not too sweet. Coffee was bad, tasted like burned paper. They have two rooms, with two different entertainers. Worth going just for the ambience. Parking is a challenge, but there is a parking lot one street over, ( which is marked tow away zone), but it was ok to park. Park, according to the security guard. Service was great!!

1st time on Valentines Day, was a bit upset they didn't specify online they had a different menu for this day, 2nd tables way too close to each other we could touch the people sat next to us, they requested to be moved to an open table and server lied to them and said it was reserved and we were there 1 1/2 hours and nobody was ever sat at empty tables, besides that everything else was good. We will go back and give it another try and review them again after.

Welcome to West Palm Beach's historic district just North of downtown. Here you will find a more artistic environment filled with lots of lovely eateries. Among them, Cafe Centro combines the class of a piano bar lounge with a comfy cafe. They serve both lunch and dinner and offer a wide array of sandwiches, wraps, burgers, pasta, salads, and speciality dinners. Friendly service was found during my lunch visit. Enjoy the beautiful music choices and relax with a glass of wine or a designer drink. I would like to eat here a couple more times and experience more from the menu. We had pizza which was quite delicious and a Salmon BLT. While my salmon was good....it was a little over cooked and I'm sure if I had said something they would have corrected it....but it was still decent. The salmon BLT comes with shoestring french fries which are cleverly seasoned with black truffle salt and parsley.....they were wonderful. We also had Caesar salads with fresh romaine. Overall, seems like a great place to become a regular!

This one is a real treat! Strongly recommend Yelpers go to Open Mic night at Cafe Centro in the Northwood district of West Palm Beach. It's only once a month, so you must make reservations, even for a seat at the bar. One time, they seated us with strangers at a four-top. We ended up having a lot of fun meeting new people, but not everyone is that flexible. (Cafe Centro also has a nice Happy Hour before the show, with healthy pours for the wine.) The food is reasonably priced and super tasty. I've had the fresh, delicious salmon salad twice. My friend, a solid cook who grew up working in her family's Italian restaurant, strongly approves the many excellent Italian entrees. Service is very good. So, dinner any night would be great at this cafe. But on Open Mic night, talent from all over the county convenes to perform, accompanied by an excellent piano player who is like a human juke box, having memorized every possible show tune, ballad, hit song, etc. On certain nights, there are music producers in the audience and the singers are actually auditioning. The emcee used to work at the Governors Club atop Phillips Point back in the day and has a lot of showbiz contacts. The small business owners of Northwood, north of downtown West Palm Beach, have been trying hard for many years to become a nice shopping and dining destination. There are nearby quaint art galleries, cafes, etc. Parking is limited. I always end up on the street and after the show ends, there are one or two security guards in the vicinity. Something else you should know. The cute, small-town character is about to change forever. Massive condo complexes are being built along Currie Park and the Intracoastal. At that point, we can hope that developers add parking garages, but we Floridians have seen how this game plays out. Quiet neighborhoods turn into overcrowded metropolises, seemingly overnight. Enjoy visiting Cafe Centro and strolling this fun district while you can. (Northwood Village also offers monthly art and music nights, go online to get the upcoming dates.)

Really enjoyed the restaurant last night. They had live music and dancing inside. I was meeting a bunch of old friends and wanted to talk, so we sat outside. Our service by Jason was superb. He was attentive, friendly, and made great suggestions. The food was delicious, I recommend the grilled wings, the scallops with chorizo mash, and the octopus. All were delicious. The rest of the table really enjoyed their "puff bread". They said it was yummy. I didn't give 5 stars was that even though we were outside, the music was too loud. The prices were also a bit high, not crazy, but high.

We had such a great time at Cafe Centro. Had reservations for 6 with two of us celebrating special Birthdays. We were seated right away at a great table to enjoy the entertainment (which was great). Our service was outstanding well informed a d not rushed at all. The food and drinks did not disappoint!! Nicely done Cafe Centro we will be back soon!!

Went here for lunch during the middle of the week. No wait and speedy service. We ordered the grilled chicken and avocado sandwich sandwich on a brioche bun, which was fresh and tasty. My side dish was fries, and those were just Ok. Server and staff were all friendly. The background music was an awesome playlist of 70's soul.

I have been there more than a few times and always enjoy myself. Seth was our server and very attentive we started with Caesar salad and fried calamari all very good drinks were on point. I got the pasta primavera and a side of spaghetti squash the pasta was cooked correctly and the veggies still had a crispness to them witch I really like but the sauce lacked flavor I should of ordered a side of Alfredo sauce but forgot my husband ordered the steak and was very disappointed looked overcooked my father in law always orders the veal chop because he says it always tender and large but he was hoping it had a sauce or gravy to pull the real together my mother in law just ordered the side spaghetti squash and it was delicious I added to my primavera and gave some we both loved it the music and dancing just makes the whole night special I love that the entire staff are so helpful and keep the small tables bussed of finish plates and glassware we were too full for dessert and they do have valet for parking and outdoor dining

Walked into this place and it smells like old mold! The place has good reviews but it seemed dirty and it was smelly! I walked right out!

We had an amazing meal! Drinks were perfect and the music was great and the people in the restaurant were there to enjoy their dinner and have a good time! Can't wait to go back! Btw we drove 40 minutes to get there and will do it again!

The ambiance is charming and on the weekends, live music. The food and service is great, I've never had any issues getting prompt service.

Cozy and smells like the food is fresh and delicious. Once we tasted our food we were not disappointed! They play live music on one side and have regular restaurant seating on the other. Choose your vibe!! Zero complaints on service.

Was taken here for Valentine's Day this year and I understand that is a busy day for the restaurant business, but cannot be an excuse for poor service, poorly cooked/spoiled food, and overcrowding. The dining room had live music, and the band was great don't get me wrong, but was so loud even being at the back of the room they played in I couldn't hear my date across the table. They also overcrowded the room to the point that guests rear ends/stomachs were squeezing over the table due to the close quarters. Even being a slender female myself it was impossible to get in or out of that place when a good majority of the seats are taken. They definitely needed to modify the layout a bit. Our server, although I know they get busy was nowhere to be found. Never checked on our food, waters and cocktails empty and spoke so quietly you couldn't even understand her. Also when making the reservation there wasn't a disclosure that they were limiting/modifying their menu so not all menu items were available that evening. They had some "specials" that I believe they were trying to turn over quickly since the food was spoiled. The lobster tail was very fishy and definitely felt and was sick afterwards. filet was alright. The saving grace was the veal Milanese.

Came here this weekend for dinner, we were visiting friends and I didn't love it. The wine was good. The server was pleasant and attentive. The room was nice, there live music. I didn't care for my entree. Really nice presentation, but the taste was a little off( sweet and tangy)

The restaurant is located in Northwood Village. I love this area because its relaxed, quaint, and it feels like a hidden treasure. I was in the mood for fish and pasta ( I know it's an unusual combo) Fish is on the dinner menu and isn't typically served during lunch but they were willing to accommodate. I was grateful for the good service and I ordered the fettuccine alfredo with salmon, broccoli on the side. The fish was cooked how I like it but its was bit burnt on the outside, so it didn't taste as good. The fettuccine was much thicker than I preferred. The broccoli was also too soft and salty, but I understand it was made to be mixed in with the sauce. I would not order this dish again, but I may return to try something else at a busier time.

What a pleasant surprise this turned out to be! Café Centro was recommended to us by friends who put together a group dinner on a night when it was pouring rain! Our party of eight showed up drenched and ready for a good time. We were not disappointed. The food was very good and the drinks were generous, but the entertainment was special, and will not be forgotten easily. If you want to have a memorable night out, I would recommend a visit to Café Centro - and plan to stay late to enjoy good music in a comfortable atmosphere.

NEVER AGAIN!! If there was less than one star I would give it to this place. We ordered ink squid pasta but instead got pasta in tomato sauce. When we pointed this out to the waitress she summoned the manager. The manager's excuse was "I just learned we were out of ink squid pasta". The waitress didn't know either so they just decided to substitute our order with what they had on hand! Advice : if you you are out of a dish (which can happen) let your customers know and have them choose an alternative. Don't just pick something you decide. We were with another couple and didn't want to hold them up so we decided to stay with what we were served. Big mistake! It was awful, mushy pasta with the chewy sea food. Completely tasteless. I can make a better pasta dish at home in 15 minutes. Recipe: boil water, throw in linguine, open a can of clams, dump on linguine, drain and dress with olive oil. Guarantee you this will be better than what Cafe Centro serves. At the end of this we got a bill with nothing comped. For 4 of us , it was $420, or $105 per person .

The food, service and entertainment was on point. We will definitely be going back. I highly recommend you to make reservations if you are planning on going on Friday or Saturday night.

Fantastic food, it's evident the Chef cares tremendously about what's leaving the kitchen. The service is excellent, the servers are great at anticipating our needs-always smiling and ready to be of service. The entertainment is literally "Legendary"!!... The Legends room has the most amazing entertainers booked each week. The Piano Bar is serving up authentic Centro Style cocktails alongside the most exciting Motown & Jazz singers this side of the Mississippi! Live music 7 nights a week is enough to keep us returning but the food, drinks and top notch service is making it hard to leave this joint!!!

Don't know how this place isn't higher rated! Found on accident. Walked in and they had a jazz band playing in the main room. Ordered grilled oysters, so good! Wife ordered the grouper with muscles and clams, amazing. I had the pork chop which was the best thing on the table. 10 out of 10.

Came here tonight, ordered mussels in red. Wow the sauce was delicious ! I kept hinting I like a loaf of Italian bread for dipping. Ate up all the mussels. The server was just awesome. I'll be going back .

I was recently able to try Cafe Centro at Northwood's Candlelight Historic Holiday Home Tour. For an additional $40 we were able to visit and sample food at seven different restaurants before the home portion of the tour. Located at the end of the street Cafe Centro has recently gotten a renovation after one of the owners left. The result is a gorgeous dining room with floor to ceiling windows that look out past the street down to the water. Executive chef, Jamie Steinbrecher is running the kitchen having come from Okeechobee Steakhouse where he worked the last 12 years. At night you can enjoy live entertainment from the piano bar. Our sample dish was the meatballs with wine. Although the meatball was not my favorite bite of the night the gorgeous dining room makes me want to come back and try more of the menu.

Good pizza and great service, however, I was being eaten alive outside and the waitress said I'll take you inside. Well, she put me on a bench ? I was sitting by the door on a bench uncomfortable, leaned over w a small side table as my "table". Just a strange situation. I don't understand what's happening. There is plenty of places to sit ?? They seemed annoyed

We love Café Centro so much and would give 5 stars except for our to-go pizza orders. I am writing this out of complete disappointment for something that should be so simple. We always order the same pizza and it is always missing the garlic, basil or both. Which is part of our four toppings. When I call in the order, I ask that these are explicitly included, since they so frequently are not but we pay for them. We also always ask for our pizzas to be well done because otherwise, they are soggy. I was going to order online tonight but it's typically less when you call to place the order. It was $22 for a medium with four toppings online and I called to place the order but didn't get a price because the large we usually order is less than $25. When my sister picked it up for me, she said it was $25+ so I called the restaurant. The manager I spoke to was horrific and a complete A**hole. He clearly hasn't worked in hospitality before or interacted with humans. (I know, I was in the industry for years). I wish I had gotten his name but he was silent and unresponsive on the other end. I spoke to the owner, who we know from going to Centro so many times over the years. He could not have been nicer. He is so absolutely lovely as are all the staff, except for the person that answered the phone tonight. The major problem, besides the discrepancy in price, is that when I got to my sister's and opened the pizza, it was MISSING the basil and was not well done. They clearly don't care about their long-time customers. Or getting orders right. It's simple, follow the order and include all the toppings. This is ridiculous. Don't order pizza here if you want it to be right. Go to see Copeland Davis and order the octopus! All the food is great, if you eat there!!

Delicious ...delicious ...delicious...I had the grilled oysters which I love in New Orleans and can't find anywhere in S Florida. I was so excited to find them on Cafe Centro's menu. I went on a nice Saturday evening and sat outside. Drinks were half off which was a plus. The oysters were grilled to perfection and were delicious . The toasted bread and salad that accompanies it was also great ! Service was also superb! I will definitely return and can't wait to try additional items on the menu.

This is the first time I've ever had to pay for bread in an Italian restaurant. We asked for bread and were given 2 choices, puff bread or crostini, both for a price. The crostini was $2 for 4 pieces. I can afford that but I would have appreciated regular bread that was gratis and given the option for specialty bread if I chose. The food was good but not hot enough. The entertainment was really good.

Myself and my woman friend hade Dinner there Friday night. Nice place great atmosphere . They had a two singing couple that were excellent but their was no room for dancing! Food was tasty and service was nice. I would go back again!

I highly RECOMMEND! We came for dinner because we were getting so many recommendations from people about the Chef. We had the best experience! The food was OUTSTANDING! Chef William Graver did an amazing job! The food was delicious! Our server Claire was on point and gave us the best experience with the best recommendations. The restaurant is divided into two areas which was so perfect. A dining side and an entertainment side with the bar. The energy and vibe was so good. We can't wait to go back!

Worst management and food. The manager could care less my FILET MIGON came out well over done saying they don't have anymore and didn't care there was any left. Couldn't care less the second food I ordered was completely under done and cold. Never cared to check back to make sure the issue was corrected. If he thinks the entertainment would make me forget what terrible service and lack of care he was mistaken. The food was not old cold and/or over cooked it had absolutely no flavor. And the worse part we tested the food days before and they still lacked to make an improvement. This place will definitely never last and I will make sure it doesn't last since we brought our entire family here to enjoy the luxury of Palm Beach and we got the worst care I've ever experienced.

Holy wow!!! Ok the vibe and the music were completely awesome but I want to talk about the food. There was 7 of us and we all are raving about the food. And we're foodies. Serious respect to the chefs, they're going way above and beyond. The menu scared me a little because I felt it was a bit ambitious for the size of the restaurant. So many unique offerings I was concerned about how they would be able to pull it off. They absolutely rocked it!!! Literally all we've been doing is talking about how great the food was. Thank you for the love you put into your craft, we appreciate it.

The worst experience in dining in west Palm beach. I was so many times before here, funny, great ambiance, good food. Today we were waiting for one hour 20 min for piece of junk. Not fun at all. What a spoiled evening!!!!!

Ordered on DoorDash so can't speak much for the service but the food was just okay - ordered the veal on a coupon I had received but it was bland and undercooked, definitely would not have been happy if I had paid full price for it. The sides saved the dish but even then they were just okay at best.

it took an hour and a half to receive our main course the food was dreadful. I ordered seafood fra Diablo. my husband ordered chicken parmigian. we will never return this is the only time I have ever posted a negactive review. one star because I was unable to give a zero star. judy

I would give 5 stars to food, service and music but proprietor is the worst. We had a 7:30 reservation for six people in the bar area. When we got there, we were told our reservation was cancelled. Really? We did not cancel so who did? We were made to feel like we were in the wrong, no apology, no " sorry this is a misunderstanding", we were basically told " tough luck". They did find us a table in the jazz room, which turned out to be great, but we came for the music and dancing in bar area. As much as I enjoy Cafe Centro, it would be nice if they were more appreciative of the clientele.

We were there this past Saturday night and were looking forward to a great meal. We had made reservations for 10 and were promptly seated. The wait staff was good but the meal was not and not just for one of us. My husband asked for the veal chop medium rare and it was well done. Two of the other meals were sent back. The four of us that ordered the lobster risotto and were very disappointed with it. First they were lukewarm, the lobster was overcooked and the risotto portion was VERY small. The only thing that was enjoyed by all was the wine, desserts and the live entertainment. We will not be going back. Migdalia
