"Always a coffee shop, sometimes a community party space with DJs and lechon, Café Colmado is a Latin-owned spot on the Lower East Side. Keep an eye on their Instagram for any events, which could be a salsa dance-off, a pig roast, and anything in between." - will hartman

I honestly don't know where to start, the coffee is amazing, the staff is incredible and that chocolate chip cookie was just phenomenal. I've been to a lot of coffee shops and I have to say this is top tier when it comes to quality coffee, the bonus is having such nice people working there. The place looks great and the backyard patio is awesome. They do special events periodically and the atmosphere is great. I felt like I was at my grandma's house, with good coffee, music and people, except when my aunt comes over. I can't wait to go again. Cafe Colmado must be protected at all times, the hidden gem of coffee in New York.

Café Colmado is such a gem in the Lower East Side! The space is cozy, the coffee is top-notch, and the staff couldn’t be friendlier. Bryan and Carla make you feel like family from the moment you walk in, adding to the welcoming vibe. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick coffee or staying for one of their fun community events, Café Colmado is the perfect spot to relax and connect. Can’t wait to come back!

New spot in the neighborhood that definitely worth checking out! They have an incredible calendar of community events that are not to be missed! The pop-ups are also incredible fun, and always a good vibe! Always happy to support a Latino own business, who is welcoming and inclusive of everyone having a good time!!!

Café Colmado is the heart of Puerto Rico nestled right in the LES. Manolo López, the mastermind behind it all, brings a vibe that’s unapologetically Puerto Rican—boricua to the bone. Stepping into this café feels reminiscent of home for those of us who grew up in the island. Manolo’s ambidextrous mind shines through in everything he touches. From running his iconic Mofongo NY pop-ups to this new venture, he consistently pushes boundaries, merging the old-school flavors of Puerto Rico with the ever-evolving spirit of New York. The café isn’t just another NY coffee shop—it’s the embodiment of "cosa nuestra"... a cultural movement where the diaspora can find both comfort and community. Manolo’s newest project shows how far authenticity can go when blended with innovation.

Their large is more like a medium. Newly opened, space has potential for events and there will be a kitchen.

Went for the Nike x Kids of Immigrants sneaker event, absolutely loved the vibes and the chai latte. There’s always something fun happening at the cafe. I enjoy every visit! Shout out to the barista Bryan for his exceptional customer service!

Chef Manolo brings the Puerto Rican authenticity and flavors, the Horchata Sucia 👌🏾. This is the best energy for coffee you’ll find in this area. Opening day was amazing and I cannot wait to comeback

This is a delightful neighborhood cafe. The Cafe Con Leche is honestly one of the best I've had. The music and staff are great and there are tables appropriate for getting some work done or catching up with friends. The vintage couches and chairs are a great touch.

Yelp
Delicious coffee and espresso drinks, tried their seasonal Coquito latte...bomb.com!!! Yum yum yum. Can't wait to try the horchata latte. Great space, lots of seating and friendly service.

Yelp
The perfect cup of coffee does exist. Top notes for design & style of the space. Bonus is outdoor seating to escape the mayhem of Broome Street. Come here to get a coffee before waiting in line at Attaboy (around the corner).

Yelp
Such delicious coffee and food! The staff is so sweet and I really enjoy the vibes. 10/10 which is rare for this area
