The 11 Best Cafes And Coffee Shops For Doing Work In Austin - Austin - The Infatuation

"The most charming thing about Café Crème is that it’s attached to the beautiful main branch of the Austin Public Library, so you can eat a lox bagel or a crêpe madame downstairs and then head up to the land of books. The French-leaning menu, with a sprinkling of salads and breakfast tacos, is satisfying but nothing special. You’re mostly here for an affordable meal at a sunny, laptop-friendly location. And, of course, a good cup of coffee—go for the crème brûlée latte or Mexican mocha if you don’t mind something a little sweet." - nicolai mccrary, matthew jacobs

I wasn’t planning to eat, but the menu caught my eye with crepes with a huge variety of fillings. The staff is very friendly, and it’s so cute how they draw little pictures on your coffee when you order—it makes this place special. There’s plenty of seating and a nice, bright interior. Overall, I liked the concept of this café, and after looking at the menu, I loved all the food options they offer.

Google
It's a pretty cool cafe with mainly people working out of that location while having a cup of coffee or having sandwiches and pastries. We tried their lox sandwich and Nutella crepe. Was not a fan of the lox but loved their crepes and coffee. The tables are filled up pretty fast but we were able to snag one almost immediately.

Google
I got the smoked salmon salad and my friend got a turkey crepe! We also split a chocolate croissant. Super delicious food. Staff was friendly and coffee was also very good. There were some nice seating around the place outside to enjoy the sun. Would go here again if ever in Austin.

Google
So glad we stopped in and tried this place! Honey comb latte was delicious and perfect! I ordered it a little less sweet. Balanced perfectly. Good selection of hot teas for my husband. The breakfast sandwiches were good and filling. Service was quick and the place was clean. 👍👍oh and I like real mugs! Which the drinks are served in!

UPDATED REVIEW: I have come to this location extremely regularly (5x in one week at times) because i work remote. I have provided so much business and tip 15-20% every single time. Today I had a meeting that ended right at 5pm when they close. I already felt bad and was trying to wrap up quickly. The cook came up to me and interrupted me in the middle of my meeting and asked me to leave. I asked if I could just finish up my meeting and she continued to talk to me while i was on call: "Well we're already closed." I ended up finishing at 5:02pm, only 2 minutes after close. I mean seriously it's just 2 minutes! I have worked in food service for years and know they are there for at least 30 minutes after close. While I was packing my things, they were speaking about me negatively RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER. How disrespectful? And then had the audacity to say "Have a nice day honey!" when i left. Then because I was in such a rush I left something inside. I knocked on the door at least 5 times and no one answered. I could literally hear them doing dishes and instead they just closed the curtains. Congratulations, you just lost your most regular customer! OLD REVIEW: This place is just awesome. The prices are very affordable, especially for Austin. I come here all the time to work remotely. The staff are so friendly and sweet. Savory and sweet crepes, sandwiches, salads, and breakfast tacos. There is art for sale such as paintings on the walls or handmade earrings and pins. Very cozy and chill vibe. Free wifi that actually works! Free parking that wraps around the building. The pastries do sell out really really fast, so if you want some you gotta come early. Conference rooms in the back for $20/hour and a printer for all to use.

Google
Like your typical coffee shop, a nice area to sit and work/enjoy your drink. The ambience was nice and the service was awesome. Friendly smiles! The food was pretty good and my boyfriend LOVED his "Tokyo Crepe." I opted for a savory and do NOT regret it :) The Creme Brulee coffee was good too!

Google
Great little hole on the wall cafe. The guy that helped us was nice. The food was great, coffee was good. I do wish the menu offered more as a meal, and not just a item. Maybe im used to Dennys and IHOP, but I feel that i could replace them with this little spot.

Google
I came here with my girlfriend to study for a couple of hours and have a satisfying brunch. The price was incredibly reasonable for two entrees. Ordered a Tokyo Crepe and a Nova Loc Croissant Sandwich for under $25 total. What blew us away for the Tokyo Crepe was how well the matcha, mixed berry jam, cream cheese, and almonds bonded together. Genuinely the best crepe we’ve ever had. The softness and rich flavor of the croissant in the Nova Loc was perfect as well. I will definitely be coming here more often as I may have just discovered the best and most affordable brunch spot in all of Austin. This is a great study spot and has a ton of boardgames as well making it a solid spot to spend a few hours and unwind.

Yelp
Had their sweet crepe called Nottingham wih fresh strawberries, sweet cream, almonds and whipped cream. It was light and delicious!

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place forever and finally had a chance. There's plenty of well shaded parking and outdoor seating at this adorable cafe. I tried the savory crepe, Madame, with a Mexican mocha. Very yummy. I'll love to come back and try their pastries. Did you know you can rent their conference rooms? What a fantastic place! Recommend for the breakfast and cat art

Salvador T.

Yelp
I love crepes but the crepes here are the worst crepes I've ever had in Austin. They tasted old and rubbery and they barely have any filling. AND they're extremely overpriced. The drinks are overly sweet and overpriced. They have downtown Austin prices but are located in a shady area in Oltorf. Given their location I would have thought they would have more reasonable prices for their mediocre food and drinks. Oh And their staff is just so rude. The short guy feminine guy that brought out my order had the worst attitude like he hates working there. No one here was friendly or welcoming. Overall this place sucks. Save your money and go anywhere else.

Yelp
Cute & quirky little coffee shop with a love for cats & plants! They have a fun seasonal menu, crepes, tacos and other breakfast items -- really a little bit of everything. I got the dirty chai which was fantastic! The potato egg & cheese breakfast taco was great as well and I especially loved the tortilla. They have red salsa and a creamy green sauce to compliment. The green sauce reminded me of taco deli's salsa doña! I'd love to be back to try more of their menu items, particularly the crepes :)
google avatar

Yelp
It's cute! My friend and I got the Austin coffee passport and wanted to try each spot on the list, and this was our first place to try! There's a good amount of parking. The inside is cute and they have a little library to the back right where you can take one, leave one, which is fun. The have breakfast tacos, crepes, coffee, and some alcohol drinks. The music was chill pop vibes, which is good. I got the crème brûlée latte, which was pretty good. I completely overlooked the crepes, otherwise I would have gotten one so I'll have to go back to try one.
google avatar

Yelp
My husband absolutely loves this place! Their crepes are something else - super fluffy and packed with flavor. So far, we've tried their Saigon Crepe and the Austin Crepe. The Saigon Crepe was a cool mix of Vietnamese flavors with skirt steak, potatoes, cheddar, onions, tomatoes, and a bit of soy sauce. It was the perfect combo of sweet and savory, and the steak was really juicy. Everything was seasoned just right. Austin Crepe, which came with peanut butter, banana, honey, walnuts, and whipped cream, had a ton of (what tasted like glazed) walnuts in every bite. Even as someone who isn't the biggest fan of walnuts, I thoroughly enjoyed them. The WiFi's great too, so it's a good spot if you need to get some work done while you munch.

Yelp
I love this place. I go most weeks. The food is good, drinks are usually well made, staff is polite. My only complaint is I wish the seating outside was nicer. The tables and chairs have huge slats in them, and they aren't very comfortable. Other than that this is probably my favorite cafe.
google avatar

Brian M.

Yelp
Stopped here after landing in AUS. Come in and order at the counter then wait or grab a seat. I had the Saigon - steak. My wife had the Monterrey (Vegetarian). My daughter had a chocolate croissant and my son had a strawberry frappe and a muffin. Everyone gave it an A+ rating. Fun with a good atmosphere. You can also rent out a conference room - that'd be a fun way to work one day.
google avatar

Bethany A.

Yelp
I enjoyed Café Crème. It's simple and cozy. Definitely a hole in the wall! If you're looking for something with lots of frills, this isn't the place for you. In addition to their drinks, they have a decent size good menu with sweet and savory items.
google avatar

Greg N.

Yelp
Really cool hidden gem - a great spot in a somewhat sketchy area. Consider this an oasis in a desert. Bfast food is excellent, coffee is primo and banger wifi. A great place to chill for the day or for a business meeting.
google avatar

Kristin S.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop with yummy crepes. When you come bring a book which you can exchange for any book on their shelf in the coffee shop. I tried their winter special mocha which was chocolatey which I really enjoyed. The Monaco crepe had just the right amount of spicy since it has chipotle aioli. If you don't like any spice at all, then don't get this one.
google avatar

Tien L.

Yelp
What a niche little place that really embodies the Austin vibe! What I got: a crepe madame (a savory crepe of ham, cheese, fried egg and comes w little spinach salad) and a hot winter wonderland (espresso, milk, vanilla, white chocolate, condensed milk, and a hint of peppermint that I opted out from) What I think: Crepe-- I feel like it's a pretty basic crepe to mess up so mine came as expected. Well put together and nicely balanced but nothing out of the ballpark. I would buy it again! Coffee-- a pretty darn good cup of coffee. I thought it was going to be extremely sweet but it wasn't. It was the perfect balance of coffee and sweetener flavor. I love the ambiance and the casualness of the place. Great place for a quick breakfast, grab n go coffee, or if u just want to sit down and get some work done. Plenty of seatings and great customer service. I'll come back when I'm in town (:
google avatar

Jacob S.

Yelp
Amazing Cafe , everything we've tried has been a 5/5. The cheese danish (not pictured) is also great. I highly recommend trying it out when you have 30-45 minutes to relax and enjoy the ambience.
google avatar

Camille J.

Yelp
Cute and quirky ambiance! Order at the counter and open seating. The coffee and teas are good. I had a lunch crepe today and it was ok. Simple, cold cuts and veggies. They forgot the chipotle aioli that was supposed to come with it so was initially bland. But once I realized, I asked for a side of it and they happily gave me one! Crepe was about $15.
google avatar

Jackie O.

Yelp
Yummy coffee and pastries. Their chocolate chip scones are perfection. The coffee options are plentiful and you can order ahead online for pick-up. A solid cafe for sure and on parr with nearby coffee chains.
google avatar

Cierra E.

Yelp
Everything about this cafe is amazing. It's an absolute hidden gem and my favorite go to spot now.
google avatar

Xia B.

Yelp
Situated in an unsuspecting and quite janky area, this café is a popular little oasis for coffeegoers. It's so cute and the knickknacks to buy are so quirky... in a good way... The mixed coffee drinks can run a little sweet so I opt out of the sugar all together. Next time I'll come back for the bagel + lox sandwich
google avatar

Erica K.

Yelp
Busy counter in the mornings, but service speed is reasonable. I sat down to enjoy a breakfast sandwich in a croissant. Also, had a muffin and London fog. I learned about this drink recently and have been trying it out at different places. hard to screw up, but I would say this place has a good one! The tables and chairs are a little small though if you are looking for someplace to get more cozy. There are paintings around that I enjoyed looking at. Some local artist knick knacks for sale here as well. It's cute, and food yummy. I think there is some outdoor seating as well. Parking situation is good too. spots in the back.
google avatar

Alexis G.

Yelp
Food was great! Love how it's decorated! I had a white chocolate mocha with almond milk and my corn taco with egg, spinach and mushroom! My husband and daughter enjoyed their bagels!
google avatar

Ashley V.

Yelp
I LOVE this place. I first stumbled upon it yearsss ago when I was out showing homes and needed a quick pick me up! Recently I had their Lilac latte- on the spring board special - and it's what dreams are made of. I also had their chocolate croissant and it did not disappoint. It's a cute spot, great for solo, a pair or getting some work done! Patio and indoor seating. The barista was a total doll. I'll be back!
google avatar

Kasem W.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and service. A bit disappointing that they make their veggies on the same grill as meat, that leaves no option for those of us who are picky for allergies and/or religious reasons. Besides that, this is a great cafe. Five stars it is
google avatar

Cameron N.

Yelp
It's a hidden little shop that you'd miss unless you were looking for it. There isn't much seating inside but WiFi is available! They're reasonably priced and lots of parking with a kind staff.
google avatar

Cathy L.

Yelp
I came for the crepes: I ordered the Tokyo (matcha with cream cheese and jam with almond silvers). It was very creamy and soft, and the cream cheese cut through the sweetness. I'm not a personal fan of cream cheese but thought it was nice.
google avatar

Christine H.

Yelp
Café Crème was a local coffee shop with eclectic and hipster decor. The location was easy to find, and there was plenty of parking in the front. The coffee shop offers a rustic book exchange library and unique local earrings. I ordered a hot drip coffee (medium roast) with almond milk and a taco with spinach, mushroom, cheddar, and egg. The drip coffee was a really good cup of coffee! The taco came in a large portion and was well-made despite being a tad bit salty. The downsides are that the wifi is a bit slow, and the music was a bit loud and distracting. The music was mostly jazz and low-fi. If you are in the area, then consider giving this coffee shop a try.
google avatar

Adiba O.

Yelp
I can't believe I just now found this place! The selection of coffees are unique and authentic. I didn't get a chance to try the crepes but would love to come back any try. I like my coffee sweet and milky, so I got the cafe creme brûlée and it was delicious! I could taste the buttery sugar glaze in the coffee. The staff is super welcoming and friendly. I love how it's a quiet but comfortable indoor atmosphere, even though right now they are offering indoor seating due to covid. I highly recommend and look forward to coming back!
google avatar

Rawn G.

Yelp
A quaint coffee shop on the bottom floor of office buildings. We had 4 different crepes, strawberries, Saigon, egg yolk crepe and Turkey, spinach artichoke. All were tasty, had good flavor and portioned to satisfy. We also had the ice coffee, crème brûlée, and a dirty matcha...perfect!
google avatar

Chris F.

Yelp
Great breakfast spot! The line/wait was a bit long - took about 20 mins to get to the register to order/and then wait to get food. Had the Loc sandwich with croissant and it was very good. Also had the VietnameseIced Coffee (with no ice) and it was average.
google avatar

Shashikala P.

Yelp
I stopped by @ Cafe creme in the weekday morning, so cafe was empty with just one lady waiting for her food order, so I was able to order immediately as soon I entered, girl at the counter was wearing mask, was having hard time swiping the card and entering the order because of loooong nails Guy(looked like a teen) who made the order looked like, he dint wanted to be there nor make coffee, even when I said Thankyou and good day, he absolutely dint say a word, absolutely no emotion, its not like they should be super friendly or anything but in the hard times like now, we are stepping out of home to support local business, so it doesn't hurt to nod or just a smile will do too. I ordered coffee and cappuccino, I had asked cappuccino with 2 stevia and to make with whole milk, I took a sip and it was sooooo bitter, so dint drink in the car, after going home when I checked, it was so dark, I added a spoon of heavy cream and sugar but still it was undrinkable, other than sharp bitter I dint taste anything, attached a photo below, it's after adding a spoon full of heavy cream. This place has such a good reviews, I dunno what went wrong with my order, my husband told Coffee was just ok. Cheese danish in the food case looked fresh and delicious, inside dine-in is closed but they have ample seating outside with nice shade, parking isn't a problem either.

Yelp
Café Crème is a cozy Eastside neighborhood coffee shop just minutes south of downtown Austin. With a wide range of food offerings, there's a little bit of everything here for everyone. I recently came for brunch and got: - Crepe Florence: a crepe filled with nutella, banana, and strawberries. Simple, yet tastes great! The consistency, however, holds this back because as soon as I took a bite, the crepe no longer held the ingredients together which made it a bit messier and took 2x as long to eat. This didn't affect the taste though, so I wasn't too bothered. ($10.25) - 3.5/5 - Sandwich #2 - LOX: a bagel of your choice (I got the Everything bagel) topped with smoked salmon, cream cheese, tomatoes, red onions, and capers with a side of chips. This was my first time having a lox and it was great! I really liked how flavorful, yet refreshing it was. ($9.75) - 4/5 - Café Crème Brûlée - their signature specialty latte with vanilla, salted caramel, and cinnamon mixed with a heavy cream and milk mixture. Yes yes yes! That was amazing. I really enjoyed this and would put it in the top 5 speciality coffees that I've had in Austin so far. ($5.25 for a 16 oz.) - 4.5/5 All in all, I had a great time here. They have a few more items on the menu that I want to try, so I'll definitely be back again. In the mean time, I give them a 4/5 for being a great spot to come get a coffee or to come for brunch.
google avatar

Lisa B.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've reviewed my favorite breakfast place. I didn't mention in my last review that, in addition to the bagels and crepes, the breakfast tacos are amazing and they have excellent pastries and salads. My go-to is the cafe au lait, just coffee with steamed (oat) milk. There is a little bit of outdoor seating on the sidewalk area. They are being COVID-safe, the super-awesome staff are always masked, and the tables have been spaced out. Another reason to go is to check out the amazing art on the wall. Just don't buy the peacock - she is mine (someday)!
google avatar

Aly F.

Yelp
This is literally my favorite coffee place in Austin. I've been coming here at least once a week for a couple months now, and I'm never disappointed by the drinks, EVER. It usually lightens my whole day with how good the coffee is. My favorites are the Mexican Mocha and Dirty Chai currently, but seriously all of it is good. Customer service is always good, the music playlist is also relaxing, and it's such a nice space to get work done. The only complaint I have is that is closes way too early for me lol I wish I had good pictures of all the drinks I've tried! If you get it for here, the drink will usually come in a cute mug or mason jar. I have yet to try the food aside from a chocolate croissant, but it always looks appetizing when others order.
google avatar

Alisa F.

Yelp
Stopped by this place for an afternoon drink. We ordered an oat milk cafe creme brûlée, soy matcha latte, and a mocha frappe. I usually don't mind sweet coffee drinks, which is why I wanted to try their signature special, but it was so overpoweringly sweet I couldn't take more than a couple sips. The iced matcha latte was for a family member with dietary restrictions. Every drink on the menu lists the ingredients, but there was nothing under matcha latte that suggested there would be syrup or sugar sweetener. The matcha tasted so unbearably sweet and we expected the drink to be just matcha and milk of choice. Nothing on the menu mentioned that the default would be a super sweet sugar bomb type of drink, so unfortunately my uncle wasn't able to have any of the matcha latte. He was looking for just matcha and unsweetened soy. We spent $20 on drinks here and unfortunately everything was too sweet for us. I also wanted to add that we were on our way out of the cafe by the time we had tasted our drinks and there were several people behind us in line and just one barista, so we didn't want to turn back to request new drinks. The barista was also nice and accommodating to our requests for non dairy and decaf options and as the owner mentioned, we could have had the drinks remade. This was our first time trying this coffee spot, so we didn't know what to expect in terms of sweetness levels. Just wanted the mention this in the review for any other people who may be more sensitive to sugar.

Maddy J.

Yelp
Yum!! I'm sick in bed this morning and my salmon crepe was awesome!! The Mexican hot chocolate was yummy too and helped my sore throat. Thanks

Victoria C.

Yelp
The food is absolutely as delicious as all the drinks are. All of the baristas are super friendly and the music is always a great vibe. These people put their art to work and you can tell they include love as an ingredient.
google avatar

Sam M.

Yelp
Another place to add to the list of great coffee here in Austin! It was a bonus when they added some coffee art in the shape of a dog on the top of my latte. I believe they can add a cat too. To eat, I had the Turkey breakfast sandwich served with some chips on the side. That was also delicious. It also has a very relaxed atmosphere and is a great place to go if your looking for somewhere to work for a few hours. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Beverly M.

Yelp
So pleasant. Great people watching and your dog is welcome. Eclectic furnishings range from outdoor bistro tables to a leather couch and a wing chair. Conversation is welcome here, too. The restaurant is often full but you can hear your dinner companions. There are board games and a leave-one-take-one library. The Nova Scotia crepe is my #1 food reason for going. I always eat every bite. Smoked salmon, whipped cream cheese, tomato and red onion slices, and capers packed in a large, thin crepe and served with a small green salad. The coffee is fragrant and flavorful. Prices are good. Service is friendly. Parking is plentiful and often in the shade. No pretensions. Very chill.
google avatar

Anna C.

Yelp
Samantha sounds like an entitled dick. Came here because we are staying near by and the coffee was great and the service was great too. Not sure what kind of experience is needed to get a 5/5 from the yelp queen herself but for me it was just perfect.
google avatar

Feliciano M.

Yelp
So I am a vegetarian so trying to find a new restaurant is kind of hard. So I came in and ordered the Florence because I didn't see any vegetarian savory crepes. I also got a croissant sandwich and it was unfortunately burnt. And the Florence was so covered in Nutella that I couldn't taste the fruit. The service was quick though.

Chupa Mela M.

Yelp
The coffee was delicious, I tried their almond croissant and it's better than the one at starbies. Very attentive staff, minus the exception of the big-boned hispanic girl. She was very rude and it seemed like she didn't want to be there. If it wasn't for that particular person I would personally give this coffee shop 5 stars.
google avatar

JR L.

Yelp
Met up with some coworkers to get work done on a drizzly, chilly morning in December. The place wasn't too busy, but enjoyed healthy traffic. We snagged a conference room at around $20/hour and proceeded to enjoy some nice hot drinks and delicious crepes. Inside/Outside - much as the photos display, it's a cozy location. Cafe Creme sported simple furniture and decor with a wrap around in the main area, a small section for young kids, and conference rooms in the back. The table and chairs in the conference room were a bit dated, but didn't pose any problems for our work ethic. The rooms aren't sound proof so we heard other gatherings and little parties. Our room had a white board, which helped with our group work. Food - I grabbed the Nova Scotia for the morning. The crepe itself was soft and moist. While the salmon filling was flavorful, but not overwhelming. Honestly I wish I was served more food! I also got a peppermint mocha which wasn't too sweet and warmed my soul. A great combo together and thankfully didn't weigh me down or lower my productivity. Service - kind and personable! Much like anyone without their first coffee, I asked dumb questions like "where are the utensils" when they were right in front of me. The staff pointed me in the right direction with no problem. Overall, a great place to work with fast enough WiFi for VPN work. The simple decor and furniture reminded me of visiting my grandparents and I felt at ease and satisfied. Can't wait to go back to try their other drinks and crepes!

Yelp
This is an update to my previous review. The owner, Sue, promptly reached out via Yelp message to express her condolences for my experience. She mentioned that her or any member of her staff would be happy to remake any drink that a customer isn't satisfied with. She also offered a free coffee if I was open to trying Cafe Creme again. Considering I was in town the next day for work, I went back to Cafe Creme. I ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk, half sweet since the previous honeycomb latte was way too overly sweet for my taste. The vanilla latte was much better. Staff was friendly and didn't give me any issues about me redeeming my free latte. Overall the coffee was probably a 3.5/5 stars for me but Sue's commitment to providing her customers satisfaction is absolutely enough to bump up the review to 4 stars.

Yelp
We found this place on Yelp! We needed a place close to my friend's appointment. SO wonderful! Varied menu, enough parking, very nice people, environmentally aware, robust free WiFi, indoor children's play area, and they accept every imaginable form of payment. How good are the breakfast tacos? The woman ahead of us in line was on her way to work at Torchy's Tacos! (She was wearing the t-shirt; I heard her order and I asked her. Where Yelp! is concerned, I'm shameless.) My bagel was perfectly toasted, there was exactly the right schmear (amount of cream cheese), more lox than I expected, flavorful tomatoes and - miracle of miracles! - enough capers. Lagniappe: They have collapsible straws on offer. I had put that off for so long that I bought mine on the spot. This is a great place, and I hope they become wildly successful.

Yelp
Stopped by to grab a drink for with a friend. The interior is cute and rustic. If you were to give Austin an aesthetic this place would have that aesthetic. I had the Cortado, which was super tasty and warm. Definitely a great jolt. I'm upset that I just found this place, I would have loved to study and hang out here. There's food here, so you could definitely camp out here. My friend got the dirty chai, she says it is very good and balanced, not overly sweet! Overall, a great experience.

Yelp
Tokyo crepe: hands down! Get this. Omg Omg... it is delicious!! (And I'm not a fan of raspberry jam) but all the other ingredients bring it down a notch to this magical Mouthwatering flavor... yessss!! Okay I also had a great cappuccino, and ordered a croissant sandwich that I will have at home (cause I saw the Tokyo crepe we were sharing and just had to partake wholy in THAT experience!! Lol) Note to self: sandwich, cappucino AND crepe is wayyyy too much food.

Yelp
Absolutely love the Creme Brûlée latte! I also enjoyed the breakfast tacos as well as the sandwiches. I'm so happy that I found this place.

Yelp
i've gone here a couple times now for the lox bagel and it does well. i enjoyed perusing around and looking at the local handmade items they had set out on a couple counters as i waited for my food to-go. a decent lox bagel sandwich, i did order the lavender salt bagel and received plain- which i only noticed after i arrived at another location. the bagel is nothing special, just the bagel, cream cheese, lox, capers, and onions. but it's decent enough to come back for- also, they haven't skimped out on the lox ever- which i've found many breakfast places tend to do. overall it's a decent place to visit and eat at and study, as it's a pretty quiet setting. nice service and clean.

Yelp
Cafe Creme has that neighboorhood cafe feel and is great for study folk. I've been here multiple times here and there, and Cafe Creme is probably the cafe I feel the most comfortable at. They have a cute bookshelf that also holds board games...and not only are they a cafe, but also a breakfast to lunch kind of spot. I've had their mushroom breakfast taco (def coming back here for the tacos), "chocolate croissant" which is more of a chocolate flaky twist, and their chai latte. I love how they also do the stamp card thing to reward their regulars. Smart move. Service has always been super friendly and down to earth, that's why I love this spot. The only thing I'd recommend is for your tea drinkers, use real chai tea leaves instead of powdered chai for the chai lattes! The sweetness really does come out, and I appreciate y'all using less powder for my taste preferences (thank you!)...but it'd be a nice gesture. It's not that big of a deal, just a suggestion. There's tons of parking space, just be sure to drive slower as you approach this place on your Google Maps. I almost missed it and turned into the wrong plaza the first time. Their wifi is strong, and there are outlets for all. I wouldn't come here to study with a large group, maybe 3 or 4 at the largest, because other people come here to get their breakfast or lunch. I like coming here early in the morning to get my stuff done and enjoy a delicious veg-friendly breakfast taco! I love that they also "double bag" their corn tortillas for taco eaters. YAY less drippage!

Yelp
Love this place! I drive almost half an hour every morning just to get their delicious breakfast tacos. (They have homemade salsa that is TO DIE FOR!) The drinks here are AMAZING and if you ask, they do the cutest little animal latte art. I personally love the matcha lavender latte and their signature crème brûlée latte.

Yelp
Ok, give these guys the fifth star. I have eaten here a few times and never gotten the crepes. This is even though their crepes are famous. Yeah, they serve lots of non-crepes on their menu. Yeah, in most places in Austin, the crepes aren't so great. But not getting crepes at Cafe Creme is like having Aretha Franklin do a concert at your house and ask that her whole concert be instrumental. So I finally broke down and ordered a crepe. Wow. Make that Wow Wow. Make that Wow Wow Wow Wow Wow Wow Wow. It was better than any crepe I have had in Brittany. (A very high standard.) It was better than any crepe I have had in Paris. (A lower standard.) It was better than any crepe I have had in Texas. (A ridiculously pathetic standard.) * * * I had their crepe called a Versailles. It is the best combination of mushrooms and brie you will get anywhere. A lot of that depends on how good a brie you use and how long and in how much butter you saute those mushrooms. There is a lot of whats-the-point brie out there. A good brie will cost you and it can't be too young. There are a lot of lazy mushroom cooks out there. A mushroom will be "cooked" in ten minutes. It will be "actually good" much later than that. The folks at Cafe Creme buy good ingredients, pay the necessary price and take the time. The results show. * * * One other sign of general conscientiousness. This is one of the few coffee houses in Austin that has consistently good DRIP coffee. Drip coffee is the runt of the litter at most coffee houses. All the baristas are making espresso drinks. The prices are higher on espresso drinks. The baristas are working on self expression with their hot milk art. (They wanted to do a picture of a camel on your latte. All they could get when they tried was a swirl.) While everyone is communing with the espresso machine and the milk sprayer, the drip coffee is getting old and stale in the pot. You order plain old Joe and get dining hall coffee. Cafe Creme puts the same care into the drip coffee that they put into everything else. And remember, coffee is a wonderful beverage, Even without steamed milk, without hazelnut syrup and without cascara whoop-de-doo. * * * Great coffee, great crepes ... and a fine salmon salad. And after all that good stuff, you are still in a nice room where you can get serious work done.

Yelp
Cafe Creme is a lovely local brunch spot where you can expect a very inclusive environment for artists. Even as a family owned restaurant, the menu shows a lot of individuality and artistry. The space was very calm and with how much light the windows let in, it was lovely to sit and enjoy a quiet brunch. Going back to the menu, I had the smoked salmon salad while my SO had the Crepe Madame - both very tasty options. The portion sizes were perfect - we were able to clear both of our plates without feeling too heavy and left feeling very satisfied!
