Café Crème - Downtown

The Austin Public Library really shines thanks to this café! Café Crème is found on the ground floor. There's a daily happy hour (including weekends) from 4-7pm that features quality $5 cocktails, which is a steal compared to other nearby cocktail options. The food menu covers all the classics and staff are friendly. I ordered a Lox sandwich on a croissant and will definitely come back for a change of scenery throughout the work day. The location is accessible via the Shoal Creek trail and is nearby a public bike share station.

Cafe Crème’s new downtown location is exactly what this area needed. The vibe is clean and modern, with lots of natural light, fast WiFi, and plenty of seating. It’s quickly becoming my favorite local coffee shop in downtown. Whether you’re a coffee connoisseur or just need a quick Austin downtown brunch spot, Cafe Crème delivers quality, atmosphere, and consistency. Highly recommend if you’re searching for the best coffee shops near downtown, latte spots with good ambiance, or a local café with fast WiFi.

Cafe Crème’s second location is fabulous! The local cafe is family owned and operated by the sweetest people. The space is beautiful with plenty of seating options inside and outside - a perfect spot to cozy up and relax on your own or to show up with a group of friends. I had an iced tea and a vegan chocolate muffin that were so fresh and tasty! Parking is free for the first hour in the Austin Public Library garage which makes visiting super convenient. Can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful café at Austin’s Central Library. Nicely decorated. It compliments the beauty of the library. As for the food: I had the breakfast taco and a coffee. Both were very good. The staff was nice and welcoming. A great place overall.

I wish we found this place sooner! The sandwiches are a 10/10. I got the Lox on an everything bagel. Highly recommend. My boyfriend enjoyed his sandwich so much, he decided to order a crepe too. Also thought the table numbers were so funny! Highly recommend- you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff here is also so sweet! Thanks for being patient while he decided to ask what your favorite things on the menu were.

Amazing new Cafe in downtown Austin. Located conveniently at the austin public library. This chic cafe serves the best lattes and the crepes are delicious! Co work, coffee and chill, check out a book and do some reading. This place is the perfect spot!

Cool spacious new cafe next to/in the library. Coffee was good. My friends loved their crepes. I enjoyed the salmon lox bagel.

MUST GO! Had a premade breakfast taco not expecting much, it was amazing! The homemade salsa is on point, green is . Had the Tuscany (savory) crepe w/ grilled chicken, tomato, spinach, onion, pesto and mozzarella- Amazing! The side salad is so yummy! Could eat just that! Hubby had the Nottingham (sweet) crepe with was strawberry, sweet cream w/ slivered almonds. It was great - not too sweet which I liked. The ambiance and decor was very inviting and the presence of the owners was felt! Service was exactly what it should be! I'd post pics (because presentation was beautiful) but we ate it too fast!

Café Crème has finally arrived at the downtown library!! This place is sweet. Interior feels brand new, cool decor, plenty of indoor / outdoor seating and a bunch of board games. Great breakfast or lunch spot with items like Vietnamese Iced Coffee, Crepes, breakfast tacos & bagel sandwiches. Definitely worth checking out.

Cute new spot at the library in downtown. The prices are on par with what other crepe and coffee shops around Austin are offering. The space is welcoming and well lit with plenty of seating. It's not the best coffee, but not the worst. Their lattes definitely have an artificial taste to it and their crepes are fine, nothing noteworthy.

The staff is was very nice, wasn't busy, we got the matcha iced and mocha iced. Nothing fancy and it was GREAT! The ambiance was calm and comfortable! Right around the corner from some shopping and good break to cool off or get some work done!

Such a cute cafe! The crepes and coffee were delicious. It's huge with plenty of seating options. The vibe is cozy and charming while also bright and airy, with thoughtful decor. Great service. Love that it's attached to the library! It was the perfect stop before a story time with our toddler. We'll be back!
