"Café Crème is a welcome addition to Downtown Austin’s breakfast and lunch scene. The most charming thing about it is that it’s attached to the big, beautiful main branch of the Austin Public Library, so you can eat a lox bagel or a crêpe madame downstairs and then head up to the land of books. The French-leaning menu, with a sprinkling of salads and breakfast tacos, is satisfying but nothing special. You’re mostly here for a sunny, affordable walk-in meal in a central location. And maybe a good cup of coffee—go for the crème brûlée latte or Mexican mocha if you don’t mind something a little sweet." - Matthew Jacobs
