The Best New Restaurants in Dallas, March 2025

"The hotly anticipated Cafe Dior finally opened in February and reservations are already impossible to get for the foreseeable future. That’s what happens when you bring the chef of a three-starred Michelin restaurant in San Francisco in to develop the menu. However, reviews from the various influencers invited have been lukewarm so far — not exactly what was expected. Will it remain hot? We’ll see, but for now, it’s the hottest ticket in town (for some people)." - Courtney E. Smith

Dallas Restaurant Openings to Know in February 2025 | Eater Dallas

"Led by chef Dominique Crenn of San Francisco’s three-Michelin-starred Atelier Crenn, with executive pastry chef Juan Contreras, this high-fashion dining concept serves lunch and tea service and takes direct inspiration from Dior’s archives in its plating and dish concepts. Notable menu items at launch include the La Colle Noire, a chicken dish “inspired by a look designed by Marc Bohan in the 1970s,” and the Miss Dior Consommé, which “features floating flowers that echo the Miss Dior dress designed by Christian Dior himself.” Reservations are required and, at press time, were booked out through April." - Courtney E. Elegant and Memorable Experience! Café Dior at Dallas Highland Village is an absolute gem! Located on the second floor of the Dior boutique, the space is beautifully decorated—every detail feels chic and perfectly in line with Dior’s signature style. I loved how they serve water and meals on gorgeous Dior china with crystal water glasses—it makes the whole experience feel extra special. The dishes themselves are stunning, thoughtfully designed, and even match some of Dior’s signature dresses—such a creative touch! My son adored the rainbow-colored spaghetti, and we were pleasantly surprised they even offered an off-menu item just for kids. The desserts were our favorite—truly exceptional—and the coffee was delicious too. If you’re looking to celebrate a special occasion with family or friends, Café Dior is the perfect place for a luxurious and memorable treat. Highly recommend!

Café Dior has such a beautiful and elegant atmosphere — definitely a luxury experience. The service was attentive and friendly, and the food and drinks we tried were delicious. Prices are of course on the higher side, but that’s expected for the brand. Overall, a lovely spot to enjoy a stylish break.

Café Dior is an absolutely gorgeous spot! It’s chic, elegant, and perfect for a stylish girls’ day out. It’s tucked above the Dior boutique in Highland Park Village…the space feels curated for a soft luxury experience with every detail thoughtfully designed. The menu leans more petite and curated, so it’s best enjoyed as a light, leisurely brunch. Don’t arrive too hungry, but do arrive cute. It’s the kind of place where you take your time, sip slowly, and soak in the atmosphere. My best friend and I made a day of it and were happy to share the experience. Definitely a fun little outing for the girls…beautifully done and very Dior.

We were excited to try this restaurant, but unfortunately, our experience fell short. We didn’t realize reservations were required, so my two sisters and I ended up seated at the coffee bar—not ideal for a proper lunch. Service felt inattentive from the start. One of my sisters wasn’t even asked for her drink order, and no one checked in to see if we wanted to order food. It left us wondering if our casual attire influenced the service we received. The food and drinks were underwhelming. Portions were quite small, and the salmon was especially disappointing—dry and lacking flavor. On a brighter note, the dessert was the highlight of the meal, noticeably better than the rest. One thing that caught us off guard was the automatic 18% gratuity charge. It wasn’t mentioned beforehand, and we’re not sure if this applies to all tables or just certain ones. Overall, the ambiance was nice, but the service and food didn’t match expectations. Hopefully, others have a better experience.

The Cafe lived up to all my expectations. It's a lovely place. The service was impeccable. The food was beautiful and delicious. We had the afternoon tea service. It was a lovely sampler. They have about a dozen teas to choose from. My tea was a very nice herbal blend of mint lemon ginger. It was excellent. The chicken salad sandwich was the highlight of the savory round. It had a wonderful light flavor and the bread was really so nice. The chocolate hazelnut cookie was the hit of the sweets. This has been my favorite tea service in the Dallas area! We will definitely be back.

Café Dior Dallas is a beautifully designed space with an elegant, high-end vibe. I tried the Tuna Violette, Drape Tart, a customized cappuccino with a ladybug Dior logo, and the stunning Manuela’s Rose dessert. Everything was artfully presented and tasted refined. Service was excellent , attentive and professional throughout. However, portion sizes are quite small, and the overall experience is definitely on the pricier side. You’re paying more for the ambiance and branding than a full meal. Still, it’s worth visiting at least once for the aesthetic and luxury café experience especially if you’re a Dior fan or celebrating something special.

This place deserves more than a quick review so here’s my full reflection. We had the Afternoon Tea and every detail—from the food to the ambiance—was handled with care and creativity. The staff were exceptionally attentive and engaged, making the entire experience feel personal and relaxed. Each bite from the three-tiered tray was thoughtfully crafted. The chicken salad sandwich was delicate and satisfying, the caviar & watercress choux had an elegant savory pop, and the salmon gravlax cracker delivered a smooth, briny richness. On the sweeter side, the hazelnut chocolate cookie had a perfect balance of nutty depth and crispness, the Piña Colada baba au rhum brought a boozy tropical warmth, and the banana & sesame canelé was soft and earthy with a caramelized edge. The standout was the Jasmine Glacé dessert—a chilled jasmine ice cream crowned with a geometric sugar lattice that looked like it belonged in a fashion exhibit. The floral aroma was light and refreshing, and the design mirrored the precision of Dior’s couture—both in flavor and form. The café itself is gorgeous: soft lighting, modern houndstooth chairs, and artistic details that echo the Dior brand without being overbearing. It’s elegant yet inviting, with a calming, relaxed vibe that made us want to linger longer. Highly recommend this for anyone wanting a refined escape—whether you’re into fashion or just good food and thoughtful service.

I recently took my neighbor out to Coffee Dior for her birthday to enjoy their afternoon tea set, and we both had a lovely time. I ordered an iced matcha latte, and she had a hot tea—both were comforting and well-prepared. The food combinations in the tea set were delightful, with a beautiful presentation. Everything was decorated with fresh flowers, adding a touch of elegance. My personal only small downside was the chicken salad sandwich—it was decent, but I thought it could’ve been elevated with a bit of cranberry for that sweet-tart balance. That said, my neighbor absolutely loved it, so it really comes down to personal taste. One thing to note—the ceiling is a bit low, so the space can feel a little compact at times, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. After we finished, we got to browse some of their products and perfumes, which was a fun and relaxing way to end our visit. The service was truly outstanding. The staff seemed to recognize their regulars and took time to chat with each table in such a warm, personalized way. The general manager especially stood out—she had a real talent for making guests feel welcome and happy. Definitely a place I’d recommend for a special afternoon, especially if you want a cozy, classy, and Instagram-worthy experience.

Yelp
Very accommodating for the fact that the parking situation is probably the worst I've had to deal with in the past few years. Service is great and allowed me to have my laptop out to take a meeting during my lunch. They are quick to make sure your table is clean and asks if you are done with a plate before whisking away with it. The fundamentals of service are definitely paid attention to. For the food, it was all very good! The bread and butter opening was a sourdough with some sort of herb-infused salted butter adorned with a few flowers. I found it to be a great opener. Bread wasn't too hard but had a great texture and crisp. I also had the green juice which was REALLY good. I love a good green juice that doesn't taste TOO sweet, but sweet enough to have it enjoyable. It also had a good celery juice content but it didn't overpower the juice to make you feel like a rabbit or cow with no teeth. I had the may hamachi after drizzled in a green oil with a bit of citrus. I always love a good yellowtail appetizer, but I especially liked the bit of salt on it that gave a good contrast to the cleanliness of the fish. (Clearly I like salty, savory things!) For the tuna violette, they recommended it rare so I obliged. I enjoyed it, but I especially enjoyed the thing sweet potato crisps on top. I was easy to break into manageable pieces to eat with the tuna and gave a much needed textural contrast since two fish dishes in a row. I also had a side of the pomme duchesse, which was essentially a potato dish (given the name, should be obvious) in the shape of a meringue. It felt like the potato had been boiled and mashed through a ricer but looked like it had been baked again and/or torched for a bit of char on top. Honestly... I loved it! I personally enjoy mashed potato-esque items a bit too much and can eat boxed mashed potatoes without being upset, so I might be biased on that... But I do like the finer consistency of the potatoes for sure! The price came out to be a little over a Benjamin for one person. Gratuity is added and they made sure to communicate that to you. Overall, I'd come here again!

Yelp
Café Dior - Afternoon Tea in Style Beautiful décor and chic, intimate atmosphere on the upper floor of the Dior store (accessible by elevator or stairs). Arrive early to shop Dior downstairs--it's the perfect prelude to the luxury tea service. The afternoon tea is prepaid (2-person minimum) with an option to add Champagne (a must to start). I chose rooibos passion fruit herbal tea, while my guest enjoyed black Ceylon mango. Served with sugar cubes, plus honey and steamed milk on request (non-dairy options weren't mentioned). The three-tier tea tray was elegantly presented with a mix of savory and sweet: * Chicken salad sandwich * Caviar & watercress choux * Tuna tartlet * Hazelnut chocolate cookie * Piña colada baba au rhum * Banana & sesame canelé All beautifully displayed on Dior platters and glassware--like a preview of the Dior home collection. Food was elevated and creative, but the service didn't match the luxury vibe. Dior requests a guest photo upload before arrival (as I've experienced in St. Barths and London), but it wasn't used--so the greeting felt impersonal. Service isn't "white glove," which undercuts the upscale positioning. Would I return? Not for the tea service. But the bar is stylish, intimate, and perfect for Champagne or cocktails with a friend--that's where I'd go next time. Tea service: $269 Total bill $351 I added a second glass of Veuve to end our experience. 20% Gratuity is automatically included on all bills. You may add more if preferred. Keywords: afternoon tea, luxury tea, Dior café, Parisian tea service, Champagne, upscale bar

Yelp
Not only you get to enjoy shopping downstairs but the upper level has a different approach of luxury experience, my wife deserves a beautiful piece of Dior and we went ahead and continued our purchase with a great cute Dior bag but while we were wrapping our transaction up we discovered about the Cafe Dior a few feet above us and we had to go seek a touch of pure Dior magic, being as delighted entrance they'd be the second level Cafe can hold a generous amount of guest there and plenty of space to appreciate the beauty of the Cafe. We started with ordering a Frappuccino and a hot Matcha tea, I wasn't too exited at first for the coffee and tea as they didn't come with sweetness but the wonderful brown sugar cubes came to the rescue, we began with the caffeine as we directed ourselves towards the deserts and some prawn cravings, as we awaited for our order we were accompanied by the sourdough bread and the beautiful green color butter with wonderful edible flower petals. I must say the star of the dish from everything we ordered was definitely the prawns. They are a must try, my wife loved their ice-cream as it came so wonderfully light and well presented with their signature Christian Dior barrier on top of the ice cream blending in with each other as you break them apart. What an amazing experience for my wife on her birthday, thank you Dior and Cafe Dior for creating a memorable experience for us.

Yelp
This was an unexpected surprise for lunch my SO treated me to. The restaurant is on the upper level of the Dior store, which was also a surprise to me. I did not realize they put a restaurant in that store location. The restaurant is small, quaint, and nicely decorated. Seating is quite close together to make do with the space allocated for it. Service was very nice and attentive. The food was quite delicious and very artistic. Definitely some of the best salmon and salad mix there. Was definitely a great experience with some wonderfully artistic food - but don't count on it to be the most filling experience. Portions will make you *satisfied* but not definitely not stuffed.

Yelp
The afternoon tea at Café Dior had the perfect amount of savory and sweet treats to enjoy throughout the whole hour! We were offered a drink of our choice. All of the snacks were beautifully crafted and had different burst of flavor. You could really feel the texture throughout the pieces. Although the staff was not as attentive, the calming ambience itself made up for anything lack of.

Yelp
Gorgeous interior, top-tier service, but entrées fell flat! Ambiance & Service: Located above the Dior store, the space is chic and upscale. Staff were warm, attentive, and checked in often--flawless service. Food & Drink: - Wind Rose: Light, sweet, and citrusy--perfect if you love raspberry and lemon. - Bread & Butter: Bread was average, but the herb butter stole the show. - Montaigne Garden: Fresh, tart, beautifully plated--must try! - Drapé Tart: Another standout starter. A beet lover's dream. - Truffle Pasta: Off-menu vegetarian entrée. Nice truffle shavings, but under-seasoned, flavorless pasta--skip! - Pommes Duchesse: Light potato puffs with a hint of smokiness. Tasty! - Blooming Bouquet: Gorgeous dessert and citrus-forward. Not too sweet. TL;DR: Stunning space, stellar service. Come for the drinks, starters, and dessert--skip the mains.

Yelp
Dior Café serves the most exquisite dining experience! I enjoyed lunch here recently with a friend. The food was first class, as expected. They even had gluten-free rolls on hand. What a treat! We started our meal with the Montaigne Garden Zucchini & apple salad w/ sherry vinaigrette; it was both gorgeous and delightful! My friend ate every bite of the Violette Bigeye tuna w/ dashi & sweet potato chips, while I loved the Barbizon Ora king salmon with beurre blanc sauce. The Pommes Duchesse were also lovely and delicious! We ordered busy bee cocktails (old fashioned) with lunch and finished our meal with lattes. Perfection with every sip! ... especially in pure Dior crystal that sells for $390 per glass downstairs. Don't bring the kids! (IMO) The dining room is small which is one reason it is challenging to get a table. (I like it this way.) The room includes (1) 4 top, (2) 5-7 tops, and (7) 2 tops. There is a room across from the elevator for celebrities to dine in peace. Currently you do not need a reservation to sit at the bar. It was more than half empty the entire time we were there. You may only order drinks, caviar and dessert there at present. The ladies bathroom is nearby and beautiful. It includes sampling of a few of their perfumes. This place is super bougie and I would like to have it as my personal dining room. I'll be back soon. Real soon. Hopefully they will offer a gluten-free dessert next time. :)

Yelp
Easy parking it's inside Highland Park. Tucked inside the Dior store. Go upstairs or take the elevator. During the week you can get lucky and have a table or sit at the bar. But please make reservations. All the servers were extremely helpful. You must get the Matcha. I forgot to take a picture. The salmon was good, but I prefer it to be a little bit more seasoned. But it was raw so that was nice and it had a crispy show. Kudos. I also forgot to take a picture of the bread and butter that butter, it's green, but I forgot what it's made out of but it was heaven.

Yelp
The ambience was amazing and very classy... The staff was very accommodating and polite, I took my daughter that is nine months old and she loved it as well. We tried a few different things on the menu. I really liked the chicken dishes and the lemon puff dessert was amazing. I got the wrong drink so I would not recommend that. I will be back for cocktails and dessert for sure.

Yelp
Disclaimer: This review is only based on the desserts & coffee--I didn't try the meals! Overall, I had a great experience here! Service was amazing, and you can tell they put a lot of detail into each item. Thelet you pick your own design for your coffee or latte, which made it extra fun! The complimentary bread that they give you with the green butter was so delicious. The desserts were also super unique, with each one representing a different Dior collection. It's worth stopping by just for the coffee & sweets if you're looking for a little treat. The café itself is pretty small (less than 10 tables) and located on the second floor of the Dior store. I got lucky with a last-minute reservation, but I definitely had to check their website multiple times.

Yelp
This was such a gorgeous place located in highland park Dallas. When we arrived we were greeted by the hostess. We didn't have reservations and just wanted a cup of coffee. We sat by the bar. I came for the coffee design print and unfortunately the machine wasn't working. The decor was absolutely stunning! We ended up getting a coffee anyways. The glassware was beautiful and service was not bad. Downstairs they have a whole China/glassware section.

Yelp
Took my fiancé and parents to try out this new, luxury cafe! Although the food looks stunning, it is expensive and I was worried we wouldn't be full. However, the amount of food we got for our table of four surprisingly filled us up! Especially the bread We ordered a la carte and recommend it! The tea service is $75 per person (minimum two people). I was wary about breaking those expensive cups and tableware....but it was overall a nice experience! You can only get designs on the latte and cappuccino. The food looks so pretty but honestly, the food didn't wow me. Like the sandwich petite fleurs are basically tuna sandwiches sprinkled with edible flowers. You are definitely paying for the ambiance but it's a nice place to stop by when you're shopping for other luxury products in the area (Chanel, Hermes, etc). 20% gratuity is automatically applied to your bill.

Yelp
Everything from the entry to the seating menu very exciting beautiful decorations, a must see and a must if your in the Dallas area

Yelp
If you're looking for a girly aesthetic, good food, and small portions this is for you. We made sure not to go too hungry. Followed other reviewers tips on skipping the main dishes. Everything we got was really tasty. Best butter I've ever tried. It was hard to get a reservation but luckily they had open seating at the bar.
google avatar

Krystyan L.

Yelp
Quaint, lovely lunch spot . Make sure to make a reservation ahead of time since very limited seating. Be aware you're paying for the ambiance, the food portion is small but beautiful. You will not be disappointed and will want to take pictures of it all. The service is top notch. Expensive but definitely worth the experience.

Yelp
Beautiful experience. The service was amazing and very attentive. I didn't have the food but i had dessert. Everything was delicious.

Alisha S.

Yelp
Decided to try the new Dior cafe with my sister. We both got matcha's which were not already sweetened (we asked for honey and simple syrup on the side). We also got complimentary bread and green herbed butter which was pretty good. We decided to try the Madeleine's Terrace as a starter, Sandwich Petites Fleurs as our main, Pommes Duchesse as a side, and La Marieé for dessert, all to share. The food overall was nothing special, could have used some seasoning and sauces (personal preference). But I believe this concept is geared more towards the experience and service, which was wonderful. However, if I'm rating based on food I have to give 3 stars.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing food and service. The food and desserts are pieces of art and delicious. Not too bland or too sweet. Perfect in my opinion. The service was great. Everyone was very professional and courteous. Will definitely be back. Photo (clockwise): Beautiful flower arrangement, fresh baked (and hot!) sourdough roll, herb butter, cafe latte, Montaigne Garden, May Hamachi, Blooming Bouquet.

Yelp
I treated a friend here for lunch during the week. Thankfully parking wasn't too bad. Great tasting food, but portions are super tiny & ultra expensive. But the food is so cute. This place is at least a one time try. Service was good and it should be since gratuity is already included.
google avatar

Yelp
Unique way to get afternoon tea or coffee or small bites in style, they are decor different , look fancy Items are great too. Only thing is because they new, the servers not so well trained and pay attention good, I believed they will improved that, overall is good try for a day relax
google avatar

Yelp
Great service from Juan and beautiful surroundings and ambiance - perfect ladies lunch place and the food was also excellent. Beautifully presented and also tasted good. Latte was delicious and pretty - the sourdough bread was great and the potatoes - everything tasted good and was good quality

James T.

Yelp
The manager was very rude. They allow dogs to climb all over the booths and chairs but my son sat with his foot on his chair and he made it a point to come over and make him put his foot down. Overly pretentious and snooty. A place "to be seen" not to enjoy a meal. They have very small menu with decent food. Not worth the snobbish atmosphere.

Stephanie T.

Yelp
I believe they've updated the menu since we dined there. At the time there were zero brunch options to have with a latte at 10:30am. They were gracious and allowed us to switch to high tea menu.
google avatar

Yelp
Café Dior is definitely worth a visit. It's located on the 2nd floor of the Dior store in Highland Park. The vibe is super chic and luxurious, making it feel more like an experience than just a café. The décor is stunning, with all the elegant touches you'd expect from Dior, making it a perfect spot for a coffee date or just to relax and take in the atmosphere. The menu is full of delicious, beautifully presented options. Every plate is a work of art. I was there for the experience and the cuteness. I usually don't expect anything mind-blowing in terms of taste from artsy spots, but everything was still enjoyable and well done. Just a heads up: you'll need to make an online reservation before coming.

Kathy E.

Yelp
To start this review with a positive: the presentation of the food is absolutely amazing, an artistic experience that mimics the haute couture Dior is famous for. On to the rest. We had a 1:15 reservation and were seated immediately. Our waiter took our order for a starter, and it took over forty five minutes for it to appear at our table. We ordered our main as soon as the starter arrived (around two), and most of other guests had by now departed the restaurant. We were the only people in the restaurant at 2:30 and our main did not arrive until 3pm. By the time the check arrived, it was 3:50 (did I mention that the total for five people was $657?). For that amount of money I would expect excellent service, not the lackluster performance that accompanied our extended lunch today. Will never go back.
google avatar

Paula W.

Yelp
Fantastic food, drinks and dessert. The service was top notch. It's a tiny but pretty restaurant. So happy we were able to get reservations!

Nikki P.

Yelp
Food looked pretty but overall the flavor was just ok. I've had better, especially for the price. The dessert was our least liked course because it was hard and tough and the flavor did not match the description; very disappointed. Service was fine, but note that they allow diners to bring their dogs, which I was surprised considering this is a fully enclosed indoor restaurant. And no, the dog at the table next to us was not a service animal. I get that this place is located in Highland Park Village, but a dog in an indoor restaurant is still unsanitary, especially when it keeps running around the table. At least make sure it's kept away from other tables and stays in one place if you're going to allow patrons to bring their dogs. This is one of those places you visit just once to try if you're one of those people that likes to try all the new places, but never again. I've heard the Miami one is better, and maybe the locations around the world are nicer too. You're paying for the ambiance, the supposed Michelin star chef, and the name of Dior of course, but it doesn't meet the cachet unfortunately.

Yelp
So beautiful, amazing foods and stellar service. It was a special treat and I loved the atmosphere and ambiance.

Brett M.

Yelp
Did not accommodate for a food allergy at tea service. Not noted on menu at booking.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Dallas has long been overdue for a restaurant like this. With exquisite flavors, impeccable service, and a stunning dining room, it brings a perfect blend of elegance and style to this city.

Michael P.

Yelp
Service was great! Chicken consume was well executed and desserts are incredible. Mocktails are also a delight.
