The 26 Best Restaurants in Medellín, Colombia | Eater

"What was once a church now houses this spacious restaurant with a retractable roof, concrete walls decorated with plants, Turkish carpets, and lamps and furniture from the ’50s. Open from breakfast to lunch, Dragón blends local produce, Colombian accents, and global influences. Start with the blood sausage empanadas wrapped in phyllo or the baby corn with miso and costeño cheese. Don’t miss the glazed morrillo (beef shank) or the criollo (local) chicken with crunchy barley, and leave room for the sticky toffee. The cocktails, ferments, coffee service, and music by a DJ are all worth noting." - Liliana López Sorzano

I’m really impressed by how much the food has improved! My past visits were just okay, but my last 2 dinners were outstanding. The kitchen has clearly stepped up, and the restaurant’s atmosphere is still as great as always.

This trendy café offers more than just aesthetic charm, it serves the smoothest lattes I’ve had in a while and a variety of delicious breakfast options that hit the spot. The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing morning or catching up with friends. Highly recommend for coffee lovers and brunch enthusiasts alike.

I stopped by Café Dragon for a late Sunday lunch and was really impressed. The space is much larger than expected and has a great vibe, with a live DJ setting the mood. The seating is comfortable, with options for both small tables and larger benches for groups. I had the chicken sandwich and an açaí bowl—both were super flavorful, and the açaí bowl was especially refreshing. It’s a bit more expensive than other local spots, but you're paying for the high-quality food, drinks, and unique atmosphere. Plus, it’s a very dog-friendly place, making it perfect for a relaxed, open vibe.

AMAZING spot! Went there 3 times whilst on vacation in Medellín and they were all 10/10 experiences. They have everything from great coffee, cocktails, wine, small plates, breakfast, lunch, dinner, gourmet pastries, and {most notably} really gooood vibes. The negronis are definitely some of the best in town! And breakfast options were delicious, too. The place is beautifully decorated and, if it's a sunny day, the roof opens to let the sunshine straigh in during the afternoon. They also have a small shop with a carefully curated selection of objects ranging from vinyl records to collector's books. I would highly recommend visiting Café Dragon if you're in town and are looking to eat/drink good + chill in a cool place ✨

After spending a couple weeks in Medellin, this is definitely our favourite place in the neighborhood to hang out. Great vibes, service, and food and drinks. We have been here to work, lunch, dinner, and every occasion in between. Love the açai bowl here and their smoothies, as well as their pizzas!

Very hip space with a bar atmosphere at night. Surprisingly delicious food and beautiful presentation. The fennel salad starter was my favourite - it looked “too” healthy when it arrived, but below the greens was amazingly tasty grilled fennel and paste. My partner had a tuna starter which was also delicious. The music was a little too loud for me. I think in the daytime it would be more my vibe.

This is an awesome café. This is my second time here. The coffee is excellent. The service is fast and friendly. The atmosphere is very chill. The space is open. People come in for the great coffee and atmosphere. Customers come here to work. There was a large group of young very creative people collaborating at one table. Just added to the positive vibes. Very cool place.

The atmosphere is a vibe. The food is good. The coffee is just okay. The service kinda sucks lol What I will say is that it's a popular place for digital nomads and there's a lot of hotties here at any given time of day. I think the pleasing aesthetic brings in more expats and foreigners. If you're looking for a digital cutie- it's a good place to shop. Also, strangely enough every single staff member is a 10/10. They must only hiring good looking people here bc that cannot be a coincidence. With that though, only the female employees offer decent service. And there's only two of them. The men are just there for decoration or something because they're basically useless. Forgetting orders, bringing the wrong items to your table, duplicating things on your receipt, catching a princess attitude because they have to get your napkins or a straw for your drink. Very prissy, very childlike, very annoying. The head server is a woman and she's like the babysitter of all the pretty little boys. I hope she gets paid more than everyone else bc that's just cringe to see a grown man get mad at you and call over Mommy Waitress because he brought you someone else drink and your won't drink it 🤦🏽‍♀️ but hey, it's Culture 🤷🏽‍♀️
