The 30 Best Restaurants in Munich, Germany | Eater

"Having gained a loyal fan base as a pop-up breakfast spot, Café Faber quickly filled up with customers when it opened permanent doors earlier this year. Leon Hänseler uses his experience from third-wave coffee shops across Germany to command the espresso machine, while Hannah Gratzfeld prepares brunch and lunch dishes, such as beans with feta, wild herbs, and a poached egg. Dotted with potted plants and linoleum-covered tables, the new digs still attract a hipster crowd, but the space is a good option for anyone looking for a nourishing start to the day." - Kate Mann

This was a really good find in Munich, breakfast items were really nice without feeling like they are trying to overly complicated the menu, which we found interesting. The coffee was very good too. Service was good and quite quick, the place was vibrant, and didn’t feel overcrowded. It’s a bit outside the touristy areas so if you want a little bit more of a local spot, I guess this is it, we would recommend

We were there today for a Faber x Freunde. Chef Jacob and Chef Franz were there for a special food event. And it was AMAZING. It was a pure pleasure to taste all those delicious food. We were so impressed. My favourite was absolutely the “Gnudi”. It was a pure pleasure cannot even describe. If you are lucky enough, you can also catch them in Berlin or hopefully in Munich again!

We came here for a good cup of coffee thanks to the Munich Café guide booklet. The cheese cake is priced in a higher end, but I still keep thinking about it after one week: the texture was so velvety and taste is well balanced: not too sweet nor sour. Nice and friendly staff, with nice spots outside. Dear cafe owner, how often is cheese cake on the menu? :)

Wow. This is one of our favorite meals + coffee we have had and we have been traveling for 8 months all around Europe. The food was on another level, so many flavours blended together perfectly. The coffee has depth and felt great to drink!! The service is kind and personable, if we lived in Munich we would go here every week. Please support this lovely cafe :)

wow, their Eggs Benedict are incredible! The poached eggs were perfectly runny, and the hollandaise was super creamy with a nice lemon kick. Plus, the fresh bread is the best in town—so soft and delicious! The vibe is cozy, and the staff is really friendly. If you’re looking for a great breakfast, definitely check this place out!

Probably one of the best brunch places in Munich. Lovely interior, very relaxed, yet stylish. Service was so friendly & proactive. There’s even free tap water - which is definitely not common in Germany, but much appreciated, especially on hot days. The food was excellent. The pea spread on the bread was surprisingly minty. Cheesecake is also recommended! Perhaps the only minus is that is was extremely hot due to the big glass windows. An aircon or fan would definitely help on summer days. Overall a fantastic place - will be back!

There's a lot to love here. Starting with the interior that's a mix of old Munich post-war Architecture and minimalist modern interior. The sound absorbing ceiling creates a quiet ambiance despite the concrete floor. The coffee is excellent, the food pricey but lovely prepared. In typical Munich fashion, the staff will try to tell you how coffee is supposed to be consumed, but that's common now and I don't take it personal. I'll come again.
