Where To Get Late-Night Desserts In Atlanta - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Open until 1am, Friday & Saturday | 12am, Sunday-Thursday For nearly 50 years, Cafe Intermezzo has been both a quintessential date outing and a leading late-night haunt, but while you’ll see couples at this Midtown location eating pastas and salad, the entrees have never been the star. You’re here for the giant dessert selections, which are all showcased in the pastry display around the coffee bar. Any of the cakes or cheesecakes are great picks—like a spongy tres leches torte or the cookies and cream cheesecake that both come slathered with fluffy whipped cream. Plus, if you’re looking to pair your dessert with a Turkish coffee (a hard find in Atlanta) or a cappuccino spiked with almond liqueur, they have the most comprehensive coffee menu we’ve ever seen in the ATL." - jacinta howard, juli horsford, nina reeder

Atlanta Restaurants With Heated Patios - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Of the three metro Atlanta locations, the Midtown Cafe Intermezzo is our favorite because of their patio. The antique-looking facade could have been plucked from some Parisian sidewalk, but views of a busy, pedestrian-friendly stretch of Peachtree Street make us feel at home. On cold days, a steamy glass of brandy-spiked Café Royale and the overhead heaters are all we need to warm up. And expect the patio to fill up with others chasing the same warmth and semi-alfresco charms. But the coffee menu, the most comprehensive we’ve ever seen in the ATL, is worth braving the crowd." - juli horsford, jacinta howard, nina reeder

Café Intermezzo is one of those rare places that instantly transports you—feels like stepping into a cozy café somewhere in Europe. The atmosphere is warm, elegant, and inviting, with beautiful furnishings and attention to detail in every corner. We had the open-faced croissant with eggs, bacon, and crispy potatoes—absolutely delicious and perfectly portioned. The French toast was a sweet highlight—fluffy, rich, and beautifully presented. For drinks, we enjoyed two excellent lattes and a traditional Turkish coffee (as seen in our video)—bold, flavorful, and served with style. Service was surprisingly fast, especially considering how detailed and carefully everything is prepared. Whether you’re stopping in for brunch, dessert, or just a coffee break, this spot is a must-visit when you’re at Avalon in Alpharetta.

We stopped for lunch. Had the Aragula salad/chicken and my sister had the Cobb salad. Very big sizes and was rich. My father had chocolate icecream. Will definitely come back. You do need a reservation though about 20mins wait when we went without a reservation. Ambience is cool as it is in the middle of Avalon shopping .

Overall, an okay experience. As fancy as this place is, the price is a bit much for an espresso drink. I asked for a coffee drink that came not even half full. We ordered a coffee and latte. Service and atmosphere were great though. Visuals were wonderful. Beautiful set up; interior and exterior. Great for small and large parties. There is inside and outside seating. They serve small snacks, coffees and alcoholic drinks. Not a restaurant, just do everyone knows. Till then, let’s sip!

Perfect spot for any occasion!! Sophia was amazing, so sweet and added an extra flare of fun to our evening. We were that one classic annoying table that spilled water everywhere and asked for extras with our food, but everyone was so polite and accommodating.🤣 The hot chocolates are a must-have.

Best ‘Hot Chocolate Intermezzo’ ever!! I go here only for the hot chocolate. Good service and a cute little place with a great vibe. Has a cozy Italian ambiance with a slightly moody, candlelight dinner feel.

Visited Cafè Intermezzo today on a beautiful Friday evening, its a great place for having date, with a cup of espresso and some late night dessert or drinks.. they have variety of cocktails and coffee liquors to choose from, and the Tiramisu was amazing… Definitely worth it..

Fantastic as always. Cafe intermezzo has been one of my Atlanta area favorites for many years. (I go to both locations.) A lot of people go for dessert- the Oreo cheesecake is to die for, but don’t sleep on their dinner options. The spicy chicken pasta is always tasty. My only gripe is that this location is a bit small and last time I went it was pretty warm in the restaurant. Other than that I have zero complaints.

Pathetic reception service. A girl at the reception said there is no table available and waiting time is 35 minutes. We waited for 35 minutes, didn’t received any text. My husband went and ask the same receptionist she said if you sit inside your wait time will be shorter, we were right outside waiting for the table. We asked we want to sit outside. After 45 minutes we got the message and came to this all empty space. No one deserves to be treated like this. The receptionist needs some training on how to manage seating. I would not trust teenagers to run my business. The waiter was awsome.
