The 38 Best Restaurants in Sydney, Australia - Eater

"You could easily walk by Kiosk and mistake it as another snack stand, but this canteen by the Art Gallery of New South Wales’s Sydney Modern entrance — meaningfully placed near the Yiribana Gallery of First Nations art — actually celebrates First Nations food and culture. The menu is overseen by Aunty Beryl Van Oploo, the Gamilaroi elder sought by renowned chefs (like René Redzepi and Kylie Kwong) for her expansive knowledge of bush foods. You’ll find native ginger-mango morning buns, damper rolls, and wattleseed ice cream." - Lee Tran Lam

Stopped in for take-away cakes, now serving them up with a cup of coffee and I’m blown away! How good are these cakes from the Kiosk? Thank you kiosk folks for suggesting favourites. They all are delicious, but that juicy fruit muffin is incredible. The muffin… Wow new favourite. incredible. The lemon myrtle slice, was a terrific finish to a fish lunch.. We’ll have this again. Poppyseed cookies. Stay tuned. Absolute fantastic secret hideaway of a cafe see you again .

Very cute and artsy place to get a snack/drink. They have products by Indigenous-led companies.

Great service. Unsure why people are slagging off the indigenous inspired menu, I think it’s great that they’re giving it a crack. The chicken bun was delicious. Coffee was pretty good. Overall, pleasantly surprised and not your usual touristy kiosk (still exy though).

Only comment is if you are advertising ‘indigenous’ inspired chicken sandwich, not the best idea to serve it on the whitest of whites American bread buns I’ve ever seen (and tasted). Otherwise lovely cafe, coffee was fine and looks like it sells some cool teas and things.

Good coffee, friendly team and yummy sweets- shared a jam drop cookie and a muffin with delightful crumble topping. I heard the pasta salad is also good so I’ll have to try that next time if there’s room left after my sweet treat ;P

Great coffee and hot chocolate, and place perfect to escape under shelter from the rain. Staff were friendly and food selection was good although we didn't eat anything.

Asked the barista lady whether they use chai powder or syrup she said syrup, then I saw her pouring syrup into that milk!😢Syrup is way too sweet;(
