We visited this iconic cafe on 83rd Street in New York City for its famous baked goods, including cakes, pies, tarts, and sweet desserts. This cafe became famous after being featured in the movie You've Got Mail, starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. We ordered cheesecake and coffee and enjoyed them thoroughly, especially on a rainy day. The cafe was cozy, decorated with many objects and posters, and crowded when we visited.

I'm french and I went there for the first time in 1998 as a 9y.o boy with my parents during the Halloween season. We're in 2024 and this Cafe is exactly like in my souvenir. The waffle I ate as a boy never left me. Fun fact, I've always kept a piece of this Cafe in my room at my parents house. I cut it from a plastic bag, back in 98. Still there, and it never faded, neither on my wall nor in my heart.

Pretty good place to have a cup of coffee and try amazing desserts. They have an amazing variety of cakes, cheesecakes, cookies and pastries. Also have a regular menu and lunch options. Coffee, tea, wine. They have And of course, if you are a huge fan of the classic movie “you got a mail” you have to visit this place. They have 2 restrooms. Mines - super noisy place: crowded and loud music. I would not recommend for a romantic dinner or a date.

Black Forest cheesecake for $9 is hard and dry. hot chocolate is overpriced at $5 a cup. Salad has a strange taste. Apple pie was good. Nice atmosphere. Probably won't go back.

Love this cozy place! It’s bustling and busy, and they definitely need more servers, but the food is great. So many delicious desserts! They are vegan (?), so their only meat is smoked salmon. We enjoyed the açaí mojito, raspberry cooler, Brussels sprouts, paninis, and raspberry tart. Yum!

Super pricey (for a family of four buying a coffee and pastry each, you’re looking at $60+ plus tip) for the quality (just so-so), crowded, slow service. The pastries I ordered looked delicious but tasted like they’d been sitting in the display for weeks or had freezer-burn. The only reason to go is to experience the atmosphere and French decor.

A touristy spot which is worth a visit to relive moments from You've got mail. But it is very pricey and i have never tasted a bad new york cheesecake so far. So save your wallet and go elsewhere for your sugar craving.
