Café Madeleine - Review - South Park - San Diego - The Infatuation

"Breakfast at Café Madeleine is the move before plans at Balboa Park, when you should sit on their charming sidewalk patio as joggers dash by. This spot has a much better food selection than your average coffee shop, like lamb merguez sausage sandwiches and crepes smothered in nutella and fresh fruit. It’s also a great choice for a meal a little later in the day—go with the spinach or prosciutto crepe, which have a creamy bechamel sauce so smooth it could talk its way out of a speeding ticket. Everything goes down well with their refreshing, mint-spiked French lemonade." - Sabrina Medora

Where to Eat French Food in San Diego | Eater San Diego

"Named for the coffee-accompanying pastry ubiquitous in French cafes, this adorable South Park cafe sits just between Balboa Park and the main drag of the neighborhood. Breezy weekday breakfast and lunch are the best time to visit this popular spot if at all possible." - Jackie Bryant

Google
We stopped here because we were in the area and I don’t think I’ve ever tried a “French Restaurant”. The atmosphere is very nice, very France inspired of course. The outdoor seating was limited but decent. Pretty much tucked to the side of the building on the sidewalk and in front, but dog friendly. My Nutella crepe was great but I should have gotten bananas in it. Now that I’m writing this I’m really beating myself up over those bananas. My wife got a Tomato Mozzarella Panini and LOVED it. She just kept talking about this stupid panini the entire trip… I couldn’t even go an hour without her bringing it up. Anyway, the service was excellent and I will definitely be coming back here. If I didn’t my wife would kill me.

Google
Food was good but they kept forgetting our coffees and every time we asked about the coffees they forgot again. It took longer to get a refund because the manage was not around and there was no way to refund by credit card. Received cash instead. We did get refund and an apology at least. The other food did come out in reasonable amount of time. If you have a vegan in your party keep in mind only the north park location has a vegan option. The savory crepe was good. So were the potatoes. Fruit cup was good. Coffees went to someone else. Messing up is fine as long as we get correction, but if we already asked twice and still others are getting their coffees that arrived later than us and still mo resolution not ok.

Google
I enjoyed the food and the view, very beautiful place, friendly staff! Definitely coming back! cappuccino decaf also was incredible!

Google
The ambience of the restaurant is so cute and cozy. We came in as a group of 5 and we were able to find seating outside. It’s a relaxing place to come out and have some late brunch with friends, family and your furry babies! The food was great. The Nutella crepes were very sweet! If you have a sweet tooth this is definitely the best plate for you. The ham and cheese croissant was just enough to fill my tummy. The smoked salmon plate was great with the Greek yogurt. Service was good. We were helped right away and the servers were very sweet. The negative star was for the French Spritzer since it wasn’t the best.

Google
Café Madeleine is my go-to for a delicious and satisfying breakfast! I ordered a huge latte, and it was smooth, rich, and perfectly made—exactly what I needed to start my day. The croissant breakfast sandwich was just as amazing—flaky, buttery, and stuffed with fresh ingredients. Every bite was perfection! The cozy Parisian vibe, friendly service, and relaxed atmosphere make this spot a true gem in South Park. It does not matter if you're stopping by for a quick bite or lingering over coffee, this café never disappoints. Highly recommend!

Google
We had a good breakfast here. Salmon Crepe was my favorite. Coffee wasn’t the best

Google
Love this place! The vibe at Café Madelaine feels very Parisian—charming, cozy, and authentic. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I ordered a quiche and a French lemonade, and both were absolutely delicious. The quiche was flavorful and perfectly baked, and the lemonade had just the right balance of sweet and tart. I highly recommend stopping by for breakfast or lunch if you're in the area!

Google
Hello! Just wanted to shoutout Ariana the server at Cafe Madeleine! Food was delicious! Ariana was kind, personable, professional! The crepes were fantastic! I had the pear crepe, and my fiancée' had the Nutella banana one. Vibes immaculate She helped us to feel at ease while we were anxious about the San Diego International airport Ground stop, which canceled all flights leaving on 09/17.

Yelp
What a cute little place in North Park. Note that there's generally street parking despite having a few spots to the side of it-constantly packed. Service is your order at the counter they give you your number and you pick a table in the place. Note that they do have outdoor seating that's covered so it's perfect for a rainy day. Note that it is a fairly small place inside - the tables are fairly small. Service definitely was friendly and they had a smile. There was a couple mixup with my friends order for which they corrected quite quickly - there seems to be some disarray when there's a lot of people nonetheless they were helpful at making food suggestions as well. I got the breakfast Panini, which had eggs bacon, and some cheese. It was actually quite filling and the bread was crisp. I think next time I'll go back and try an omelette. but I do agree that such a sandwich or even an omelette will run you about $18-$20. It's a bit expensive for what you get but the ambience is very cute. They don't rush you when you're just trying to catch up with friends as well. It's kid friendly as well.

Yelp
Very cute French cafe in North Park. I've been meaning to check this place out for years, but now that I'm planning a trip to Paris, I'm pregaming with frenchy spots around town. We lucked out with a parking space in their back lot. When we arrived, it was pretty quiet, so we didn't have a long line for ordering our food. I like a spot where you can order at the counter and then grab a seat like they offer here. I ordered a cold brew with vanilla cold foam, a blueberry chocolate chip muffin and the eggs Benedict. The muffin was a bit bland for having the added bonus of being two muffin flavors in one, but maybe that's why blueberry and chocolate chip muffins have traditionally been on their own. I really like the staff here. Everyone was very friendly and I appreciated that they have all your go to condiments and hot sauces easily accessible. The music to audible conversation ratio was great and it would be a nice place to have a meal with company or dine alone with a good book.

Yelp
Cutest coffee and brunch/lunch spot in South Park! So many options for sandwiches, paninis, and crepes! Also super fun and creative coffee and tea drinks. Seat yourself and order at the cashier. Great service and super cute. Would love to come back for mimosas and brunch!

Yelp
A cozy spot for a solid panini. The ambiance of this cafe is really chill and a great place to grab a bite before enjoying the little shops in South Park. The turkey panini was solid and I really enjoyed the thicker cut of bacon they used. The lavender mint latte was a surprise as I really tasted the mint, however it dissipated as quickly as it came. Service is pretty quick and you order at the front before choosing your seat either indoors or out. Staff are very friendly and happy to answer questions.

Yelp
I used to really like this place in South Park, however, for the last year or so, the place was dirty and messy. Just the other day someone was mopping when I walked in with Fabuloso, which has a horrible strong smell to it and the stuff doesn't even disinfect. They offer coffee and food so that's what the place should smell like. Plus they should rethink their music choice. It's a French influenced cafe so why not play some Frenchie music. They do make a good cappuccino though.

Yelp
This place has my absolute favorite quiche. The custard and flavor are so perfect. I have doordashed this so many times to my house when I've had a busy morning and love it every time. The coffee is ok, but it could be better. During my latest visit, my quiche came out room temperature which was disappointing. My coffee came out quite late, despite me going inside asking for a follow up. After the quiche, I went inside to order a lava cake and the cashier was so helpful and kind-- very approachable! The lava cake was bland and dry and honestly inedible. After one bite, I couldn't finish it and left the rest. The ambiance is very cute and they have wonderful decor throughout. Love the French vibes!! (I may have posted at their North Park location)

Yelp
I can't believe how quickly time flies! We had finished lunch elsewhere but on the way I really needed some coffee, so why not stop here? Great sidewalk seating. The inside is cozy, and it reminds me of places in NYC or Paris. They had a black sesame latte. This is one of my favorites that I've had in Hawaii. This one was good though a little light on the sesame. Great mascarpone cheesecake! The cappuccino was really good too! Solid spot for an afternoon break! Cako still Approves!

Yelp
Such a quaint corner cafe! Plenty of parking around the neighborhood, but it may be difficult to get a spot during busy hours like on a weekend morning or early afternoon. Great service when ordering and they bring out the food to you. Seating is limited indoors with about 6 tables with jazz music playing in the background. There were more tables outside if you prefer to soak in the sun. I ordered a miele latte (honey, cardamom, expresso, milk) which was pretty sweet for my liking, but delicious nonetheless. I also had a salmon crepe with a small side of salad, nothing too fancy to write about, but satisfied my hunger during the early afternoon. I'll have to return and come back for the panini which I heard the cashier say was his favorite. Overall, great place to catch up with a friend or get a little work done!

Yelp
4-5 stars. I was on Fern St, crossed over one street and we saw Cafe Madeleine. It's the perfect addition to South Park! So dreamy, like a true Parisien corner cafe. They have outdoor seating with the infused water container and glass cups there. And inside, it could be considered small...but I think it had good amount of seating. People were friendly to allow sharing tables. Menu was a bit difficult to read from where we lined up, as the light fixture was blocking the view. I had to bend up and down and move back and forth just to read the coffee options. The menu above the register is also a bit difficult to read for some. As I got closer, I saw the most amazing item on the menu. MERGUEZ BAGUETTE $17.00 it had chimichurri and roasted red peppers, as well as arugula. And it came with a side salad with French vinaigrette. They gave two merguez sausage in the baguette. It was incredible and so delicious. Highly recommend. My friend ordered it as well and said he never had a sausage that flavorful before. I also got MIELE LATTE, it was priced at $6.25. It was a basic size so I'm not sure of this pricing. I would have thought it to be $5.50 at most. The honey flavor wasn't very pronounced. The cardamom wasn't mixed with the espresso it just sat on top as a decoration. So whenever you sipped you got a mouth load of cardamom, they were quite heavy handed with it. I'm happy though that it had the perfect amount of milk and was very espresso forward in the latte! Overall, it was a delicious lunch. And the workers were very chic and kind! They played French music inside that was in the background which allowed conversations to take the lead. They had sweet crepes and savory, paninis, baguettes, and pastries, etc. For drinks they have coffee, tea, blended, lemonade and more!

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick brunch. I ordered an espresso not pictured, plus a coco cold brew and a chocolate banana crepe. The drinks were both great. I got two baby Madeline biscuits with my espresso which went great together. The coco cold brew was great. Not too sweet with a great coconut flavor. The chocolate banana crepe was perfect. The crepe wasn't doughy, wasn't overly sweet and was just the right amt. Loved that my pup could join me in the many outdoor tables. Water station outside for u to self serve water. They also had water bowls for pups. Great spot

Yelp
Café Madeleine is a super cute spot that looks straight out of Paris. The coffee was good and the pastries were the real heavy hitters. The almond croissant I got was definitely top tier. The price was reasonable.
google avatar

Yelp
What a lovely treat this place is! Absolutely delicious pastry, and a wide and varied selection of coffee and teas and juices. A delightful spot to spend some time!
google avatar

Yelp
What an adorable cafe to enjoy many delicious options. Started with the Mexican coffee, delicious and flavorful. We had the basic breakfast, the breakfast panini, and the quiche. Nothing disappointed. We split the pear crepes which we highly recommend. All staff were friendly and welcoming. I would visit all the time if I lived here.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a cute spot! Got a savory crepe & cappuccino- both were alright, nothing special. I really like the outdoor seating space, it's so adorable for breakfast/brunch! The service was quick and the staff was nice! It's casual dining and you seat yourself Definitely a spot to try in north park, I need to try more things on the menu next time, and maybe a different coffee because it wasn't amazing in my option (was super super strong!)

Karen W.

Yelp
Super pleasant Café. I've had early morning coffee's and pastry here and today popped in for a late lunch. Service is warm and friendly and the refreshing berry cooler and green tea ginger iced drinks were nice and mellow and not too sweet. I loved my crepe. It was perfect. The pears, walnuts, bechamel and cheese were delightful and the Croque was nice too. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Sebastian V.

Yelp
The food, lattes and libations are delicious here! The staff are kind and the service is pretty quick. The atmosphere also gives a very nice French ambiance. If this place was a man, I'd be carrying their baby by now.
google avatar

Yelp
Their quiches. I'm my word. I've been twice to this location. Ate outside both times. The flies are a huge problem. They provide the fly fans for the table but it's still an issue. Maybe scrubbing the sidewalk might help. It was pretty soiled. Anyway. Their quiches. I always get the spinach mushroom with feta cheese option and my husband gets the other one. I think it was sausage and fennel with Swiss. The crust is amazing. And the filling is so light and tasty. There are many other things I'd like to try on the menu but I can't quit the quiche. Flies be damned. I'm going there for the quiche. Parking is on the street and it's becoming a popular neighborhood area so you might luck out but if you don't just circle back.
google avatar

Bonnie R.

Yelp
This coffee and light fare shop is hella adorable. Their coffee selection is good, and service was friendly and quick. I especially appreciate that you can refill your own fruit-infused water on their lovely patio. While I didn't try any bakery items, they looked equally delicious. I had an iced mocha and Brie/pear panini and both were good, those the mocha required a little extra stevia, but I suppose that's a personal preference. Overall, it was a nice, casual brunch spot!
google avatar

Ana A.

Yelp
Second time visiting. Both times have been great experiences. Even when busy- the wait isn't too bad. I had the turkey panini twice and it does not disappoint. Well portion sizes. Service has been great as well.

Joey Y.

Yelp
Love this gem. It was a beautiful day for sitting outside with the best London Fog in town. Sis' Mexican Mocha was so good we all sipped it and wished we ordered that instead. Gf's split a breakfast croissant served with the most beautiful fruit cup which included a variety of fruit, not just an orange wedge and a few grapes. Sandwich was delicious. Sis and I shared an order of avocado toast, OMG. FRESH sliced avocado, micro greens, beautifully presented with salad greens dressed in the lightest, tastiest dressing. We thoroughly enjoyed the coffee/tea and food. Vibe was so relaxing and the wait staff so kind and sweet. Maybe a little on the pricier side but the quality of the food explains the cost. Cant wait to back.
google avatar

Yelp
Café Madeleine is a quaint and cute café to indulge in a quality coffee and pastry. Located on the corner, there's street parking along the residential area off of the main intersection. It's next door to Bunny Chow and some other local businesses. Seating inside has two top tables to give a more open but intimate vibe, and there's a water cup area inside. Service is quick, and it can get pretty busy on weekends.
google avatar

Chelle S.

Yelp
Consistently the best crepes I've ever had. I usually get the chicken or the fruit. It's gotten to the point where it's just nostalgic. I can come here and I feel happy. Service is great and the cafe is very cute.
google avatar

Jenna B.

Yelp
A cute spot with a diverse menu. I got the veggie quiche. It came out quickly and piping hot. There was a great crust on it too. Sat at the sidewalk tables and they gave us a little fan to keep the flies away. Will return for some sweet crepes, they looked delicious. Street parking can be a little tough on busy days, but it's in a central location of South Park so a short walk from your car takes you past nice sights. We went on a Sunday morning at 10am and it was busy but there was no wait, ordered at the counter and then got a pick of tables.
google avatar

Ling L.

Yelp
We got the prosciutto panini, chocolate & banana crepe, pistachio matcha latte, and London fog tea. Everything was soooo yummy, I'm still thinking about the prosciutto panini to this day The London fog was delicious, but the pistachio matcha latte was lacking the pistachio The crepe made me crave some more crepes. It took a while for our crepe to arrive though cause they took back the number stand thing and didn't know which table the crepe goes to.. BUT!! Would definitely come again to try their other savory breakfast items
google avatar

Cabrina M.

Yelp
Adorable spot in South Park! We shared the seasonal special breakfast sandwich, a banana and chocolate crêpe, and Mexican mochas, everything was delicious. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and the perfect place for a relaxed morning. Definitely coming back!
google avatar

Jessica R.

Yelp
I've been to Cafe Madeleine a couple times, the decor is super cute and it looks just like a French Cafe. The staff is friendly, greeted me, brought food to the table, and boxes when I didn't finish. This time I bought the vanilla rose latte and passion fruit cheesecake. Both were really good. The only con is that it seems a little expensive for me, but it's comparable to other cafes in North Park.
google avatar

Liana J.

Yelp
Love, love the ambiance! Truly like stepping into a cute little Parisian bistro. It seems very pricey at about $13-15 for a crepe or panini, but maybe that's just how it is everywhere nowadays. The crepe itself has a good texture, but the veggie and pesto filling did not blow me away. It came with a very small salad that actually had more flavor. What I really loved and would absolutely come back for was the rose and vanilla latte. Having the dried rose petals on top of the foam simply enhanced the rose aroma without crossing the line into grandma's perfume territory, which I appreciated!
google avatar

Rina H.

Yelp
I got the smoked salmon panini and the drip coffee. The drip coffee is unlimited refills which I always love - yay!! The salmon panini was really good, the bread was a perfect crunch and I felt like they gave a generous amount of salmon. The servers at the front were all super friendly and happy to answer my questions. The vibe is so cute!!! My friend and I loved the little French cafe vibe they created.
google avatar

Miyu O.

Yelp
It was a cute café. I did not eat my cheesecake there instead I took it home to eat for dessert for dinner and I really liked the cheesecake. I think that the fruit were a little dried up, but it was a great cheesecake for $10. You can share between two people
google avatar

Lacy K.

Yelp
My electric scooter adventure led me to the cafe. What a quaint delight. I love the aesthetic and feel. Sitting inside looking out the window as I sipped my drink was so peaceful. My breakfast croissant was flaky, buttery and flavorful. Paired well with a little Breakfast cocktail. Instagram: @msbusyblonde
google avatar

Arnold T.

Yelp
Had the best quiche in San Diego. It's not dense where I struggle to finish a slice of quiche because not only that it's dense but its overly rich. Cafe Madeleine's quiche is very light - very eggy - so much so that I could eat another slice or two.
google avatar

Catherine B.

Yelp
I've been wanting to come check this place out and finally got the opportunity to with my husband and our dog. It's a great location in South Park and it's so cute inside and out, and the employees are super nice. Unfortunately, our experience was tainted when we were sitting outside and the owner decided to berate a poor barista for not sweeping the street. It was extremely unprofessional to hear him talk down to this employee and repeatedly express how unacceptable it is that she didn't sweep the street, and was saying that he didn't want to hear any of her excuses when she was trying to apologize and explain she didn't know that's what he wanted done. I understand if you need to deliver criticism to your employees, but it should be done in private, not in front of customers. I won't be back based on how the owner treats his employees, and I hope that he apologizes to that poor girl.

Yelp
Had the biggest hankering for a BLT so the BF and I finally decided to try Cafe Madeline after seeing it there on University for so many years and boy am I glad we did. The BLT was perfect, the lemon butter crepes, scrumptious, and the ambience was perfect. Haven't been to Paris yet but I imagine it would look similar to this spot. The service was good ... though our food took a minute to get out and the server didn't inform us that what my BF ordered would take longer than usual. But the food more than made up for that slight miscommunication.
google avatar

Cherish F.

Yelp
I love coming here and sitting outside with my dog. The service is great, the food is fresh and I really like their Italian sodas.
google avatar

Tiffany B.

Yelp
Look for the red building on a cutsie street. You'll feel like you're transported to a European cafe eating here. I ordered the cappuccino and it came out with a piece of chocolate. I also ordered a pear crepe and a side of scrambled eggs. The pear crepe was DELICIOUS. I ate my meal at one of the window nooks. I enjoyed people and dog watching. I felt like I was back in Europe eating at one of the local street cafes. It seemed like this spot was a local go to for breakfast or coffee. You order your food at the counter and the server will bring your food to you. From the menu, it doesn't look like this place has much to offer. However, if you read it carefully, you may find something you'd like.
google avatar

Lisa G.

Yelp
I really liked this bakery/restaurant. My girlfriends M and K and I were exploring around the area, and ended up coming here (after our plans got derailed by the rock n' roll run that we all forgotten about), and boy was I glad we did! Parking was not too bad as this is nearby residential streets. Do remember, if you park on a hill, turn your wheels! The workers at the cafe were friendly and sweet. I could not say NO to the fruit tart after making eye contact with it while waiting. I have no regrets. So when I was younger, my sister had brought me to a French cafe and gave me a fruit tart. Since then, I really love fruit tarts with the custard! Not the whipped cream. This one here was interesting as they did not make it with custard, but the inner part of the fruit tart was moist and delicious. So they won me on the fruit tart 100%. I ordered a BLT, without the tomato. It was so good! I really enjoyed it and saved the other bit for a snack later on. Sorry to those who just read in my review that I say without the tomato.! It's just the texture I don't like and the taste makes me go meh! I can eat some tomatoes now, but I still prefer not to. Oddly enough, I'm fine with sun dried tomatoes. So most likely... I'll EVENTUALLY get used to tomatoes. Maybe ;) I also got an orange blossom which was nice - although I'm not much of a coffee drinker. Good thing was that we were early, so I didn't stay up too late that day! Bathroom were a bit on the smaller side, but overall it was cozy and inviting, outdoor seats along the side walk, and self-serve water. I would definitely come again! This place was also pretty popular, as there was a constant flow of people on lines.

Yelp
Super cute location in South Park, it's giving France vibes. Inside of the location is well decorated, they do have wifi available (see photo) Ordering is tricky. As a first timer, please expect to order inside, this place does not have servers. You'll be provided with a number and they will bring your food items to your table. Food and drinks tried: Basic americano, good simple fast. Mexican mocha: really good- sweet but had caffeine! Turkey panini: full filling, can't go wrong! 10/10 will be my usual from here. BLT: 8/10 not my preference since I like some kind of meat in my sandwich but the bacon was so crispy and it was a good bite. honestly their side of potatoes was so good I wanted more. Wanted to try the "Rose Vanilla Latte" sounds delicious, I know. But they were out so I'll have to go back again and see if they have it. Suggestion: since you are out of it at the moment maybe a sign would be ideal to have to let us customers know (it was a high demand asked drink, the girl repeated herself almost every other customer. Only one side of the location had cute umbrellas, the other was very plain, a lot of flies... maybe something to add on in the future so experience the Madeline vibe. Will come again.

Yelp
My cousins and I tried this spot while we were visiting San Diego and it was so cute. It is a small space but the decor and vibe is so nice. We loved the food & pastries. The service was quick and staff were kind. It does get full but the line moves quickly. I recommend getting breakfast or brunch/lunch here, it's tasty and worth the try!

Yelp
Really enjoyed this bakery/restaurant. It sits on the corner of Juniper and 30th. This one is South Park, they also have a location in North Park. I got chocolate croissant, breakfast croissant (eggs, bacon, cheese, arugula, tomato) w side salad, and lavender mint latte. The lavender mint latte was the best! Great blend of lavender flora note and minty flavor. The bacon in the croissant was over cooked. Very crunchy. I would prefer it to be thin and crispy like chips not thick and crunchy like chicharrones. Overall, great food. The mini cheesecake and fruit tart were delicious. Limited seating inside and there are outdoor seating along the side walk.
google avatar

Adriana A.

Yelp
Nutella crepes were soo good!!! Just A little bit overloaded of nutella but other than that they were great!
google avatar

Manuel S.

Yelp
Best place to grab croissants in San Diego! My husband and I love to come here for some coffee and pastries in the morning when we are in town. A cute, friendly vibe that feels very European and lovely outdoor seating for people watching.

Mimi L.

Yelp
What a delightful, little place, reminiscent of a Parisian cafe. The ambience and food will surely transport you to another world. This is a wonderful place to treat yourself to something out of the ordinary, You can't miss this small, red building, situated on the corner of 30th and Juniper in South Park. There's limited outdoor and indoor seating, as this cafe is small, and very busy. Order inside, and fetch and fill your own water. I ordered the ample-sized quiche Loraine, which was absolutely delicious, with a melt-in-the-mouth texture and delicate crust. My friends ordered crepes, which they said were not as good as my quiche, alas. Allow some time after or before to explore this fun neighborhood, with many interesting stores including Book Catapult bookstore and the ever-fun Bad Madge (q.v.).

Yelp
We absolutely love coming to this place for coffee and breakfast. The South Park neighborhood is so quaint and quiet, with a ton of cute shops and restaurants. The staff at Cafe Madeleine is always great. The food, coffee and pastries are wonderful as well. However, we love to bring our dog along which requires us to sit outside. The tables and patio/sidewalk seating is lovely, but the amount of flies around the tables is unbearable. And it is ALWAYS a problem. When we sit outside I constantly feel like it's a complete sprint to finish our food to avoid the annoyance of buzzing around you and the table. I'm not sure if they've attempted to rectify the situation (i.e. fly repellent fans, discarding of food delivery boxes in the area, etc.) but I have yet to see any change in the 5 years I've lived here.

Yelp
my fav cafe in South Park! Their lattes and pastries are too good. The iced rose vanilla latte is amazing! It's best to come before 11am for a place to sit, it can get packed even with outdoor seating. The inside is cute but very small.

Yelp
Warm welcoming staff and attentive servers set the tone of this unique Parisian cafe. The pumpkin tarte was delicious! And I would reorder the panini any day, the salad dressing on the side was my favorite part. A super cute neighborhood and dog friendly!

Yelp
I ordered a quiche through DoorDash and can I say that it's one of the best quiche I've ever had.. I like to make them myself and consider myself to be a good cook but this is delicious!

Yelp
Love this place! The sandwiches and panini options are awesome. Especially the caprese panini! Also the iced tea was spot on. Very reasonable prices and super friendly staff.

Yelp
Ordered a macchiato. Came in a demitasse which was a promising sign but it was bitter and lukewarm. I don't know why it's so hard to get a decent espresso in San Diego when every cafe & truckstop in southern Europe serves them. Fresh squeezed orange juice was suprisingly good, the croissant small but tasty. Tables on the sidewalk are next to the street with giant SUV's parked 5 feet away giving it a Carvana feel. Sideway in front is black and greasy looking.

Yelp
I really love this spot and have been coming here for years, but I had a pretty disappointing experience today. I called in an order for a plain crepe with just strawberries. When I went in to pick it up I hadn't paid yet since it was a phone order, and unfortunately they do not have a separate area to pay for pick up orders so I had to stand in a long line even though the order was ready and getting cold. No problem though - I'll wait in line. It was my turn and it was rung up over $16. I looked at their price for a Nutella and strawberry crepe and it was $12.50. Confused, I asked, is this the price for just a plain crepe with strawberries? And it was actually rung up as their full berry crepe. As someone who only wanted strawberries and nothing else, it was disappointing, especially when I wasn't looking to spend that much. They offered to remake it which was kind of them, and if they could do anything for the inconvenience which again, very nice of them, but because it was busy in there and I was already on a time crunch that was increased by waiting to pay, I passed on the offer. The staff is really kind, and I appreciated them trying to make it better, but it made for an overall sour experience. I hope in the future they can provide a separate payment option for those who have already ordered and are simply there to pick up their food, as well as double confirm the item vs overcharging for an item I did not choose.
