Montreal’s New Restaurants, Bars, and Cafés: 2019 Edition | Eater Montreal

"I learned that notable St-Léonard institution Café Milano has expanded for the first time with a new location in Laval on St-Martin, west of Centropolis, marking 48 years of the café’s espresso and panini legacy with its first outpost outside its original neighbourhood." - Eater Staff

St-Léonard’s Café Milano Has Opened in Laval | Eater Montreal

"After 48 years of pulling espresso shots and putting together paninis in St‑Léonard, the institution has opened a new location in Laval on Boulevard St‑Martin West, just west of Centropolis. Owner Marco Paranzino (the son of founder Matteo Paranzino) is keeping things the same as the Jarry Street East original, with a menu of classics: Italian‑style espresso, steak, capicollo and meatball sandwiches, and Italian sweets such as lobster tails with Nutella, biscotti, and cannoli. The only minor difference is hours—the Laval café won’t be open 24 hours but will run from 6 a.m. to midnight Sunday–Thursday and 6 a.m. to 3 a.m. Friday–Saturday—while offering plenty of space (seating for 110) and plans for a terrasse in summer." - Tim Forster

St-Léonard Italian Fave Café Milano Is Expanding to Laval | Eater Montreal

"I've learned the new Laval location at 3352 St-Martin West (near Chomedey Boulevard and just west of Centropolis) is expected to open in November and will be “pretty much the same thing,” serving the same menu of sandwiches, desserts, salads, and Italian-style espresso. Marco Paranzino is spearheading the expansion with partners Frank Barreca, Donato Ladogana, and Chris Guerrera; the space will be similar in size to the original with room for about 110 inside and 20 on a terrasse with an awning, and hours will be 6 a.m. to midnight (and until 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights), so it won't be open 24 hours like the original. Future expansions could be an option but nothing is planned yet." - Tim Forster

Google
The coffee and bombolonis are for the win. They have great selections of sweets, from bombolonis to cannellonis and eclairs. There's salad and paninis too. The service was fast and easy. Lots of people during afternoon. It's quite busy during my time of visit.

Google
Absolutely delicious, as always! The best sandwiches around. I tried the Negroni for the first time, and it was perfect 👌🏼 Enjoy!

Google
One of the best cannoli I’ve ever had! The shell was perfectly crisp, and the filling was smooth, creamy, and just sweet enough. You can really taste the quality in every bite. If you’re a cannoli lover, this place is a must-try!

Google
A great wide pleasant coffee shop, with a lot to offer! A cute terasse, great variety of desserts/pastries and even sandwiches and salty treats. The place is huge, great to chill in a group or work alone. Service was excellent!

Google
One of my favorite coffee shop in Laval! Great and efficient service. Their Chicken salad is delicious and can feed a whole family, I also recommend the grilled chicken sandwich and the delicious milano poutine (veeeery generous on the chicken). As for coffee, the moccachino, bamba, oat cookie and especially the crema di cafe are to die for !

Google
Tasty food & VERY fast service. The downside too much noise from all the clients talking on the tables. The place is buzzing !! Other than that the place is really nice & worth it. The deserts are SUPERB !!! We tried many different ones !!! Give the place a try!!!

Google
I do not eat out often due to the rare acceptable level of proper food handling, quality of product, cleanliness of venue/ atmosphere and value to the product. This place has the best french fries i ever had besides the ones I make myself and the chicken sandwich was excellent. The espresso perfect, you can have wine a shot of whiskey.. zero complaints well there is one..when are you all coming to Lachine?

Google
Always a great experience at Milano's. The sandwiches and the fried are to die for and it's perfect for a café with friends or just a midday lunch too. I love the fact they are putting a soft limit of 60 minutes per group because it can get really crowded in the evenings and everyone wants a table. Definitely not my last time there!

Yelp
Amazing vibes. We have been coming here since two years and it has never disappointed. Great place for late night coffee and food. We have tried many things - Hot Chocolate, Mochaccino, Tiramisu, Cappuccino, Ferrero Rocher cake and Poutine. Loved them all, but the one thing, besides coffee, that drags us is their Poutine (best I've had in Montreal). The staff is great and friendly. They have table service once you order at the register. Not very quick but you don't come here to do anything quickly. Parking can be a challenge since there are limited spots and there is rush even late at night. Definitely recommended!!

Yelp
I love the canolis from here! Best ones out of all the places I've tried. I love that the next day the canolis are still firm and crunchy, the shell doesn't go soft and they are generously filled. The nutella stick is so good, it's soft and jammed packed with chocolate goodness, delicious when it's warm. I recently got to try out the all dressed steak & capicollo sandwich with added cheese and it was flavorful, bread was very fresh and soft, love the eggplant in it.

Yelp
Cafe Milano has been in business since forever and I'm happy that they expanded to open other locations. I really love there cappuccino and also the cannolis and the lobster tails I also love there sandwiches, they also have salads. So many different choices, this place is perfect for coffee dates and also for lunch. They also have other pastries and gelato. I always get there mini cannolis which I love. Staff is nice also but some of them are not the friendliest tho. The down part about this place is that they only take debit or cash.

Yelp
So excited to see Cafe Milano hit Laval! ("aka The Island of Franchises"). Everyone who lives in the East end of Montreal knows of Cafe Milano's. Their new location is welcomed by locals and frankly it's a gorgeous location that always seems to be busy. Same menu, delicious Italian sandwiches prepped by saints who know what they're doing. Well prepped, delay is reasonable. Something that sometimes felt lacking in their original location. The sandwiches will run you a few bucks more than the crap you get in places like Subways. It's worth the extra cost. Strongly recommend. Coffee is great here as well, another thing that lacks in Laval. Proper coffee. Another thing to try.

Yelp
Love Cafe Milano, best thing to happen to a very Franchise only food presence . Great staff , coffee is fantastic and the food is always quality .

Yelp
This is the second location that just opened and so far it has not disappointed. Apart from the physical aspects everything's exactly like the original. Great sausage sandwiches and coffee.

Yelp
If you want to taste a real Americano with some delicious croissant or simply going Keto with an amazing salad this is the place, fully recommended.
