"Everything about Prélude feels luxe, from the cocktail experience set in swanky private rooms at a renovated old house to the small menu of canapés that includes a $125 order of six chicken nuggets (with caviar). You’re not here for value or a full stomach. You’re here to drink expensive cocktails in a beautiful space, find out what pricey ground poultry tastes like, and pray that someone in your party offers to cover the bill. Does it all feel a little performative? Of course. But the food and drinks are executed flawlessly, and the whole experience makes you feel like you’re part of a very private club that uses the word “summer” as a verb." - Nicolai McCrary

Not far from us, a new bakery has opened. Very nice place. Convenient parking. Overall, a nice place. The kids liked the baked goods, except for the croissant with chocolate, literally: strange chocolate. Magic baguette!!! Swirl is very tasty. Everything is made with a Big soul, the owner is a great girl. Good luck to you in your business. Yes, if you compare with another bakery, the prices are 2-3 times cheaper.

I stopped in for a quick iced latte. I ordered mine with almond milk. The coffee was a bit on the acidic side for me but overall drinkable. They do not offer any GF items, but the quiches and baguettes looked good. I sat in the cafe to work and it was quiet and the barista was friendly. This a decent and quiet location for a quick bite and some work.

Hands down the best cappuccino in Boynton Beach!!! This family owned coffee shop is so warm, clean, and authentic. We loved the panini, the pastries, the coffee. Everything is on point. We will definitely visit again! Five stars all the way! ⭐️

Very nice place with amazing croissants! Owner is one of the nicest people and you can tell he absolutely loves to make food! Coming from a person who bakes and cooks all the time. Cappuccino was marvelous!

This is a hidden gem. Breakfast at 7:00am. Very hard to find even though it is on federal highway. The pastries are made on site and if you like croissants and crepes this place is excellent. I have eaten the bacon egg and cheese crepe and the chocolate croissant. They have a variety of quiches that I will try next and then update.

Yelp
Service was wonderful. Pastries are delicious, and the seats are comfy. It's a small cafe but adorable and tasty. I stopped here after a morning on the beach. had to get 2 spinach pastries bc one wasn't enough they're that good. Also had a strawberry lemonade sparkling drink with fresh strawberries, and a hot chocolate for my ride home. I'll def be back! Love it here

Yelp
*** updating this review and adding 1 star for customer service. Appreciate the fast response from the business and desire to make things right. *** My husband & I love trying local bakeries in our area. This has been our least favorite so far. The location is hard to access. We had to park in a garage and travel through a building. I wouldn't have felt safe doing that alone with kids. We came in first thing in the morning (around 7:30am) and there was one employee and no smell of baked goods. Any good bakery is going to be staffed in the morning and the aroma is normally amazinnnngg. The croissants (pictured below) were oily and did not taste fresh. We also spent $15 (plus $2 tip) on 4 plain croissants. I don't mind spending more $$$ if the quality is there but these were disappointing in our opinion. We picked them up to make breakfast sandwiches and ended up just tossing them after tasting 1. Would not return.

Yelp
This small restaurant is a bakery as well as a cafe. It faces the main street, but parking is behind the building in the parking garage. It's free to park there. Then you either cut through the building or walk around to the back (or front entrance). There are some tables outside and about 6 two-top tables inside. You order at the counter, and they will bring your food to you. In the counter displays you can see their various pastries and quiches. There's also a separate cooler for cold drinks. When we stopped by for lunch, they were fairly full inside -- which meant 4 of the tables were taken. It was a one-man band as the owner/chef was doing everything by himself. He was waiting on everyone and preparing the food, as well. Oh, and btw, he is from Paris. I started with an iced decaf coffee. The coffee was very good -- not bitter like the famous chain everyone goes to. I also ordered a sandwich of turkey with cranberry sauce and brie. It regularly comes also with ham, but I had him leave this off. They were out of baguettes so our choices of bread was a panini or a panini (!) -- so we got a panini. My husband ordered a tuna sandwich with veggies. I think the guy thought he'd ordered tuna with cheese, however. It took a bit to get our sandwiches as the chef was making crepes and other food for the rest of the customers. We were okay with this -- although hungry. Both sandwiches were served hot from the panini press. And both sandwiches were thoroughly enjoyed. We didn't get any dessert, but several items looked appealing. If you are looking for an authentic local cafe experience and are not in a rush, this place is for you.

Yelp
Open Monday through Sunday baking and putting together some great paninis and sandwiches. Today I had a Tuna on panini and an Ice coffee. They offer fresh juices and crepes as well. There are several inside and outside tables . Everything is made to order Nd this is very good food...just not fast or rushed. My wife and I enjoyed our meals very much. Parking is free on the first floor behind the retail shops and restaurants. Enjoy!

Yelp
Quaint little storefront and restaurant with outside seating and 1 table inside. This restaurant is mostly a to-go place, but they have a nice selection of sweet and savory fresh prepared foods. They also have specialty coffee and smoothies and even a machine that fresh squeezes orange juice. They are newly opened and are still stocking the shelves, but I think they are unique to the neighborhood and hope they find their niche. The owner did say they were affiliated with the pizza restaurant next door , and they shared the outside tables. It was not busy when I went inside, but the service was friendly and welcoming.

Yelp
Ordered a broccoli spinach quiche for an office holiday breakfast, it was to die for! Everyone loved it and it was gone on the first round of servings. Love the staff, they are always so nice and the food is authentic and always great. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We went today for brunch. I ordered the quiche which was burnt completely on top and not very flavorful. My husband got the chicken panini which he said was just ok. I'm not sure where the good reviews are coming from? The person who took our order doesn't speak English well and didn't really respond when I told her about the burnt quiche.

Yelp
We were staying at the casa costa apartments right across from this coffee shop and decided to drop by on new years! What a cute little shop! The service was outstanding , the young lady was cordial and so helpful! The food we got was delicious , overall would definitely visit again!

Yelp
Nice, authentic little French cafe. David was very kind and gracious to us. We alwere a party of 6 and we all enjoyed the food and service. Check it out for authentic French cafe style treats and food.

Yelp
I had the breakfast sandwich which was great but the cinnamon bun looking thing was cold and was not a favorite. Maybe I'll have to try it in person instead of getting it delivered??

Madi K.

Yelp
I had a wonderful experience at Café Prélude. Latté and coffee were freshly prepared and were delivered quickly. The espresso is so high quality here. Also enjoyed a raisin pastry with the perfect touch of sweetness. Ham and mushroom quiche is the best quiche I've ever had. It was fluffy and flavorful with the flakiest crust! Indoor and outdoor seating with shade is available. Can't wait to be back.

Yelp
Was really happy when I saw a new place for coffee and deserts opened and had late hours. Loved that there were crepes on the menu. When I arrived early on Sunday, the danishes looked like they should have been tossed days ago. There was no fresh bakery smell and that's because it's not fresh. The only positive is that the prices were somewhat okay. My crepe was just a 2 star despite it being fresh. They really seemed amateur in this area. Hoping they make a change and realize that FRESH food will be the only way they will sustain staying in business. I'll check back in a month with hopes of a 180 degree change. The girls was really sweet and seemed to work very hard.

Yelp
Fantastic French bakery. They have a wide variety of Pastries, breakfast sandwiches and coffees. The grilled pesto chicken painni is delicious. A terrific family run business.

Yelp
we just here just as they opened, this is a cute and cozy little place, with great staff. debbie and karima were super nice. this bakery has a nice variety of different pastries, drinks, meals, desserts, etc. i got the croissant and it was amazing, so flakey and warm and soft. definitely recommend for a quick little breakfast with affordable prices. i can totally see why this is a 5 star bakery, come support this business!!

Dani L.

Yelp
The pastries here are delicious. So creative and unique. The customer service is also great. Debbie made me a one of a kind iced latte with oat milk.

Sunny L.

Yelp
Food was great. Looking forward to coming back a few times to try a different dessert each time. I appreciate how reasonable the prices are and hope they stay that way :) Service was exceptional. During a time where people don't put in effort into their work (which just leads to more unhappiness) it's so special when people care and want their business to succeed. We saw that there.

Yelp
Wonderful French Cafe. Great for breakfast, snack or pastry. Their quiches are amazing.

Yelp
In a quest for great coffee shops near us, we found Cafe Prelude. It is just a perfect cafe! Inviting atmosphere, delicious coffee & bakery items, and staff that Is very attentive. The Julius Meini Austrian coffee was new to me, it is so smooth & rich, we had it also as a latte. Croissants & cream cheese items were perfection. There were 5 or 6 types of quiche, all were 3 in high & custard cheese base was so good on the ham & zuccinI we tried! Portions are generous to share. The gentleman next to us had chicken & homemade fluffy waffles and could only eat 1/2 of it, but we were envious of how delicious it looked! The menu is very diverse, smoothies, milkshakes, & lunch items that include baguette sandwiches, paninis, Croque Monsier , croissant sandwiches & a whole refrigerator case of cheese cakes & other desserts! Indoor & outdoor seating! You've got to try Cafe Prelude on A1A in the Casa Costa Condo complex, street level, free parking in garage. We will be back!
