A Local Player Is Debuting Both Coffee and Ramen Shops Along Mississippi Avenue | Eater Portland
"Opening Tuesday, April 22 at the confluence of North Fremont Street and North Mississippi Avenue, this pink, Italy‑inspired cafe was added when owner Grant Macdonald—formerly of Afuri Ramen & Izakaya—decided that while scouting a second ramen location he ‘thought, why not?’ serve coffee and pastries alongside it, Macdonald told the Oregonian. It will serve Portland’s Heart Roasters in a pretty pink cafe space, with house‑baked pastries and focaccia sandwiches, and everything on the menu will run less than $10. “We want to be a space that’s welcoming and price inclusive,” Macdonald told the paper." - Paolo Bicchieri
My usual coffee and breakfast go-to is Portland Coffee Roasters but this place is quickly replacing that for its taste and more reasonable pricing!
Their paninis are absolutely delicious. The bread is fresh and crunchy, and their tomato pesto adds a lovely tang to breakfast.
I admittedly do love a sweet coffee so the hazelnut mocha hits all the right spots, but does get a little too rich towards the end of the drink.
The only thing I would love to see is a more diverse line of pastries. Cookies aren’t really something I ever want in the morning, but a bun, muffin, or croissant? Oh yes.

I really want the coffee to be good because this is the closest coffee shop to my apartment, but unfortunately was disappointed both times I went. The baristas here are very friendly and service is great. However, the first time I went with a friend the drinks (hazelnut mocha and pistachio latte) were both extremely over-sweetened. We explained this to the barista who graciously made them over for us. They were a little bit better but still very very sweet. The second time I went I ordered drip with a shot of espresso to avoid the sweet problem, but the coffee tasted sour and weak. It's worth walking a little further to a different place for a high-quality coffee of the same price.

Their chai Italiano is my favorite chai in Portland!! It’s a little sweet and floral. My boyfriend got the orange rose pistachio latte and that was also very good. The chocolate hazelnut was yummy and the person behind the counter who took our order was very kind and helpful. I love the atmosphere it was clean and cute and well decorated but still very warm and welcoming

I had a lovely time at Cafe Rosetta!
Their toasts were fun to try! I am particularly a big fan of the Heart Coffee roast that they use. I had a regular iced latte, which was so perfectly balanced and well made! Every time I’ve made it into Rosetta so far, I am greeted with kindness.
This space is nice as you can choose between indoor seating or the outdoor tables, and it’s very accessible to remote workers.
Give it a try!

Awesome coffee spot. The pumpkin amaretto and brown butter sage lattes are top tier. This has entered our top 3 Portland coffee spots now. Apple Nutella panini, and meatball panini were amazing also. Hits the spot.

I LOVE this cafe, not only is it adorable and a nice place to remote work, the staff is always so friendly, and the lattes and seasonal beverages are top notch. I crave them all the time, especially their fall spiced apple cider. The food menu is also really seasonal, delicious, and a fun variety. A must visit!

Freakin thrilled Cafe Rosetta is in the neighborhood! So over the coffee shops on Mississippi and their lack of good food options. But do you see this strawberry toast?! It’s beautiful! And delicious! And only $7! House made focaccia, house made pastries, we are not worthy 🙏🙏 Will absolutely be back to try it all :)

Yelp
With so many coffee shops in Portland ya gotta stand out somehow w specialty dranks, staff and vibes. Cafe Rosetta did all the above.
Who knew an "Orange Roze Pistachio Latte" was missing in my life. It was a great blend of flavs I've had individually but together was bliss. It was quite a joy to sip on.
Space was aesthetically pleasing w touches of plants. There's variety of seating from nook, tables and high top bar w plug ins. Staff was nice and barista knows their stuff.
P.S.
Saw they had breakfast toast which sounded delish. Was told they make it to order so will have to stop back in.

Yelp
4.5 rating-
We popped into this spot when we were in the area. We found it on In Kind and it was such a hidden gem. The service was fantastic, the vibes were great, we loved everything we ordered.
I got a panini which was yummy, my daughter got a hot chocolate which she mentioned it was the best hot chocolate she has ever had. We found out that they make the hot chocolate in house with several sourced ingredients including vanilla. My daughter also really liked and ate her whole croissant. My son got a hot chocolate and the Nutella and banana panini which was awesome. My hubby got a panini and coffee which both were really great.
We wish this place was closer to home because it would be a weekly staple for us. Highly recommend checking out this spot when in the area.

Yelp
Been here a few times, each time the coffee has been amazing. Today I decided to bring my laptop to do some work and it was perfect for a rainy afternoon. Service is always great, definitely will be back!

Yelp
A cute coffee shop on a quiet corner. I ordered the Orange Rose Pistachio latte with oat milk and it was delicious. The pistachio flavor pops out the most but it was warm and lovely. I love that they serve a local roaster, Heart Coffee in their shop.
The space is very open, clean, and creative with the subtle touches of pink tile and flamingos.
The baristas were easy to talk to, friendly and made great drinks! A cute coffee shop to check out to mix things up!
