London’s Best Sausages | Where to Eat Sausages in London | Eater London

"Sam’s is so tucked away on the edge of Shepherd’s Bush Market it almost feels like Not London, but for the chugging traffic of Uxbridge Road a stones throw away. The merguez — made especially for Sam by a London butcher — is fried on a hot plate, sliced and mixed with scrambled egg and chips. This guaranteed-to-please concoction is piled into fresh, fluffy bread with harissa, mayo, olives and pickles to make a large and immensely satisfying sandwich, which is great value at just £4. The inclusion of egg also makes this sandwich feel appropriate for any time of day, which would explain the steady stream of customers waiting outside." - Helen Graves

Truly the most hidden gem in London. Not even a "blink you'll miss it" establishment. You can stare quite intently at the outside and still be unsure of the delights within. No sign or decoration outside, I only found it as I was specifically seeking it out. The sandwich is delicious and crazy cheap. Only £5 for a stuffed baguette. I had the mincemeat, potato, and egg sandwich. Superb. The baguette is coated inside with what I can only presume is a harissa paste. Incredibly flavourful with just the right amount of heat. It lifts everything to the next level. Please try this place if you are an Arsenal fan. It is criminally empty on a matchday. Try it if you are fan of any club, unless it's Tottenham.

So good I had to have more than one sandwich. Excellent. And for £5 you cannot go wrong. Sublime.

This is a tiny caf with 4 tables only big enough for two each. There is Algerian sports on the telly. For a fiver, the merguez and chips baguette was amazing. I didn't get any salad and skipped the chilli sauce (I know... I'm a baby.) The merguez was cooked perfectly, still soft and not like rubber. The bread was also crispy and fresh. Boss man who was running the place was really friendly. He told me all about where he is from, where the best butcher is for merguez. Despite being the only female in the cafe the whole time I was there, there were zero bad vibes and just got on and had a good time eating my lunch. This is not dinner date material, but the food is incredible and once you have been you will want to go back.

Lovely restaurant run by some of the friendliest people in north London. The food is tasty, extremely good value, and the hospitality is second to none.

Underrated sandwich spot! Had the merguez with chips which was excellent, and very reasonable at £5, would've been nice if it could've had some salad in it but cured my hangover! Great spot to people watch and chill for a while. The place could definitely be cleaner but oh well

Unreal sandwiches and great value. This place feels like a full on experience and the owners are very hospitable.
