"One of Prague’s most famous daytime spots, Café Savoy has stood the test of time since 1893 for a reason. Service rarely falters and the Viennese-inspired atmosphere makes brunching (or lunching) feel like an elegant affair without any pretension. Between dishes like Viennese eggs (baked over a water bath, like eggs en cocotte) and croissants stuffed with soft-scrambled eggs and shaved truffles, it’s easy to forget that this restaurant does right by dinner too. Come back in the evening to order the confit duck with house-made bread dumplings and braised cabbage." - Dan Clapson

I would call it my lucky day for being able to walk into this restaurant without a reservation (I wouldn’t recommend visiting without a reservation) and get seated in under 10 minutes. For a heavy breakfast, we started with a cappuccino for my partner and the Savoy hot chocolate for yours truly. The hot chocolate blew me away. The creamy texture and the flavor gently dance their way to my tummy with each gulp. This hot chocolate was a formidable competitor to my top favorite from a cafe in London and deserves a spot in my “epic hot chocolate” Hall of Fame. For food, we ordered the English breakfast and the Savoy breakfast. The French toast that came with the Savoy Breakfast definitely stole the show for me. Overall, it is a must-visit breakfast place if you are in Prague. Please definitely make a reservation before you visit.

Google
One of my favorite spots in Prague. This is my second time here and I loved it even more. The food is great, as is the vibe. Do not go without a reservation as there are always long lines at this historic cafe. Look forward to returning again!

For all the tourists froma local: Savoy is an extremely popular place. You NEED to make a reservation, otherwise you are going to wait outside. Also, you can book for one hour only as Savoy tries to turn as many tables as possible. You do not have to like it but they are transparent about it. The food is great, definitely recommend the breakfast menu. Atmosphere is very nice, takes you a bit back in time.

Google
This iconic café and restaurant, historically frequented by figures like Einstein and Kafka, remains a popular destination. The interior and service maintain a classic style, creating an elegant yet comfortable atmosphere. The cuisine is exceptional, with standout handcrafted breads and desserts. The beverage selection complements the food well, and the coffee is highly recommended. While service is generally efficient, it could benefit from improved friendliness and attentiveness. Despite these minor service inconsistencies, the restaurant remains a valuable and enjoyable establishment.

Google
Cafe Savoy has a high standard, atmosphere and beautiful ambient. We came to see our favorite sommelier, it's hard to find such a professional who matures like the best wine. We call him a walking encyclopedia in exaggeration. You have to experience and taste his knowledge of the world of wines 🍷.

Google
Beautiful location with great (fast) Service (which we really appreciate for breakfast). Lots of people ordered the pastries which they make in house but we went for a more savory touch. The omelettes were delicious and buttery, the mimosas had the perfect balance and my flat white also great! The setting is beautiful and staff really friendly! Definitely go!

Google
We had a light lunch here today. Cafe Savoy is beautifully decorated. Especially the ceilings. Stunning. The service was very good. I had the Croissant with Scrambled Eggs and Truffles. The truffles were terrible. The scrambled eggs on the croissant were good. Tasty. As beautiful of a place this cafe is, the food is way (WAY) overpriced. Glad we visited to see the beauty of the cafe.

Google
Café Savoy offers an amazing breakfast experience with delicious food and excellent coffee. The ambiance is absolutely stunning—authentic and elegant, making it a true gem in Prague. The staff are very friendly, attentive, and impeccably dressed, adding to the overall charm of the place. However, there was a small hiccup during our visit as the cake we ordered was forgotten. Unfortunately, we only realized it after paying and had to leave without trying it. Despite this, the overall experience was wonderful, and I would definitely recommend it for the food and atmosphere.

Yelp
I really enjoyed everything about Cafe Savoy, from its location, savory food, sweets, pastries, drinks, ambience, etc. They have the best vertnik, which I still think about today. It's like a chou/cream puff. A vetrnik is a type of caramel-glazed chou pastry that's filled with a rich and luscious vanilla and caramel whipped cream This place is classy with a beautiful interior. Service is great. This place can get quite busy any time of the day.

Yelp
Cafe Savoy is an excellent choice to grab breakfast before heading up to Prague Castle. Problem is, many other people know this and getting a table isn't easy. At first we were disappointed when they said they were completely booked and couldn't seat us. We asked if we could wait a bit and see what would happen. I think they respected that we were willing to wait it out a bit and after only 20 minutes or so, they found us a table and squeezed us in. We rewarded them by ordering plenty of food and thanked the manager many times over. Starting with some savory breakfast items, we went with a scrambled egg and truffle croissant, an egg Florentine croissant, and a ham and Gruyère croissant. The classic basic combination of ham and Gruyère is tried and true for a reason, and won out of the three. The Hollandaise sauce on the Florentine was pretty darn heavy and more than necessary. This croissant got pretty soggy quickly, but was still tasty with egg yolk and spinach everywhere. The truffled scrambled egg croissant was of course decadent. Eggs were loosely scrambled, which is to be expected in Europe. Shaved truffles for breakfast? Why not. While you are waiting for your savory items, don't be afraid to walk over to the bakery display and start getting your dessert strategy together. Of course many just come here for pastries and coffee, which isn't wrong. We just pointed at a bunch of things and had them delivered. I always enjoy how European pastries aren't quite as sweet as their American counterparts. You can enjoy the quality of the pastry and richness of the creme and custard fillings. Yes get one of those circular creme filled things. They are photogenic and will make everyone at home jealous.

Yelp
When you are in Prague, you have to pay tribute to cafe savoy for their famous French breakfast. We did it on a rainy, windy day. To our surprise, people's enthusiasm didn't get impacted by the weather at all and it was still a long line outside of the restaurant. After we sat down, we ordered the famous French breakfast, chick soup and hot chocolate to share between the two of us. The French breakfast portion was HUGE! The black truffle is truly amazing on the egg breakfast croissant!! Hot chocolate was thick and creamy! We also loved the chicken soup. It's definitely an experience that you don't want to miss when you are in town! Once per trip is about right! Bon appétit!

Jeanee V.

Yelp
Outstanding cafe that feels homey and luxurious all at the same time. Beautiful food, great customer service and unique options that truly sets it apart from any other cafe. I was really impressed that they had dessert wine! Very unique options at that... I ended up purchases 6 bottles of Utopia before I made my way out. Def reccomend stopping by and arrive hungry - I recommend trying multiple food items in addition to a great coffee.

Yelp
Oh so romantic is Cafe Savoy. As I stepped in, I was immediately drawn to their chandeliers and their neo-Renaissance ceiling. Charmed I was with their gentle and non-hurried teatime service. Savoring still of their soothing cup of "Cafe au Lait Savoy" and their magnificent salted caramel, choux pastry "Vetrnik"! Life is beautiful! CHEERS!

Kelly G.

Yelp
I liked this place. It was very cute and a great menu selection. The croissant was very tasty but heavy on the truffle mayo. I scraped half of it off. It came with sliced boiled eggs which I wasn't expecting and think scrambled would have been better. The truffle mayo made my husband feel sick for the rest of the day. Definitely get a reservation.

Erich L.

Yelp
Famous older cafe. They get very busy so make reservations. They have some delicious pastries and cakes. Had the apple strudel and specialty savoy cake, which was marzipan, cherry and chocolate. Everything was very good it's worth going to.

Julie L.

Yelp
We came here in May 2023 and I can't stop thinking about it. Such a beautiful restaurant. The food is as good as the space is beautiful. The service was good. I feel like they're a bit snooty here but that's just how we felt. We didn't have reservations, but we came in during the middle of the week when they opened and they didn't seem too happy we didn't have reservations but they seated us anyway. I'm glad they did! The food was to die for. My mom had the croissant with scrambled eggs and truffle and I had the eggs florentine croissant with spinach and hollandaise sauce. It was huge! Definitely enough to share. My mom had the white loose leaf tea (Silver tips Nepal) - she said it was the best tea she's ever had. Really special experience. Can't wait to come back (with reservations). Of course I had to get some "Věneček" cream puffs with cream filling to go! Amazing.

Gracie P.

Yelp
Very nice as a Californian tourist, definitely would recommend for breakfast but make reservations beforehand.

Rolly T.

Yelp
Spent Christmas Breakfast at this Viennese cafe just by the river. Had an amazing French omelet and breakfast. Love the local Czech desert- Vetrnik- That's what heaven taste like; filled the egg yolk cream with vanilla from Madagscar into the body of the puffed dough and top it with caramel-- Sounds like heaven to me. This place didn't disappoint. Great service. Good price.

Yelp
Make reservations!! A historic cafe that was recommended by many people and it was a very filling but delicious breakfast. For two people, we ordered the French breakfast and the Savoy breakfast. So much comes with each breakfast- 2 drinks, pastry, protein, egg. It was beautifully served and every bite was delicious. It was a pricier breakfast than a simpler cafe breakfast but worth it (and way cheaper than a typical brunch in the states). Definitely go to the bathroom because on the way, you'll see the bakers in the bakery hard at work! Easy to walk to from the city center but there is some parking nearby if you drive.

Yelp
Cafe Savoy in Prague is located at Vítězná 124/5, 150 00 Malá Strana, Czechia. Call them at +420 731 136 144. This high class restaurant is open 0800-2230H daily. For early dinner, we ordered the Bramborove, Cappuccino, Citronada, Detsky vyvar, Herold tmave pivo, Lioka kanci na ancov ckac and Rockefeller oysters. The cheque came to 1302.00 KC. The food was delicious. Their dark beer is very good. Well worth the fifteen minutes wait to be seated. Best to book for a reservation. The patisserie is at the foot of the stairs, leading to the second floor. The bathrooms are located in the lower level. On your way back while on the stairs, take a picture or video of the pastry chef in the process of creating delicious desserts. If on a wheelchair, I do not know how to reach the bathroom. The bathroom for men was clean, no off smell. They do not have a diaper changing table. They have a clothes hook inside the door. We took Uber, restaurant parking is on the street. #Foodie #Cravings #Delicious #SliceOfHeaven #GuiltyPleasures #moments #memories #milestones #CafeSavoyPrague #photooftheday #CNN #WSJ #NYT #SFgate #SFchronicle #MercuryNews #TheIntercept #TheGuardian #Politico notary01 Tags: Foodie, Cravings, Delicious, SliceOfHeaven, GuiltyPleasures, moments, memories, milestones, Photo of the Day, CafeSavoyPrague

Yelp
Visited this place for a hot drink after visiting the Prague Castle It is beautiful AMAZING service Honey cake is a MUST And the ice cream

Helena J.

Yelp
Good and service is substandard! The strawberry dumplings that they were known for are not eatable due to using some dark flour! The color is already unappealing and they don't warn you that the recipe was changed ! It was 5 of us and we couldn't eat that! The steak , is dreadful, the soup was like warm and service not friendly. So after years coming here , NO MORE!!!!

Luz M.

Yelp
Great ambience and great food !! Service was wonderful as well so there's really no downside about this place. Loved their breakfast and their pastries will make sure we visit & have breakfast here every time we're in Prague!

Conner S.

Yelp
Make reservations in advance! Cafe Savoy is a must visit when in Prague. It is on the pricier side for Prague but this historic cafe is well worth the price. For 2 we shared the Savoy breakfast and French Breakfast. Each breakfast comes with coffee, juice, pastries, eggs, and a protein. I loved how you got to sample a lot of items with each breakfast. Everything was delicious! Service was top notch as well. Only have positive things to say about my experience here!

Naren C.

Yelp
Delicious Food, Historic Venue, Excellent Service. This place is a MUST DO for Foodies! Reservations are recommended if you plan to visit during a busy time (especially for breakfast). RECOMMENDATIONS: * Open Faced Sandwich: Ham over Potato Salad. * Apple Strudel with Cream Sauce * I am confident that the rest of the items on the menu are to a high standard given this place previously received a Michelin star. * Breakfast: They're known for their breakfast (and pastries) here, so I am definitely coming back for the omelet with truffle croissant! Bon Appétit!

Josh C.

Yelp
This place tasted so nice, we came here twice! A really nice, relaxing place for a good breakfast in Prague. We had the French toast, which is made using a croissant, and the Gruyère omelette. Both were very very tasty. The bread and butter served with the meal was also incredible (maybe our favorite part!) We did not make reservations either day (though it was Tuesday and Wednesday (maybe weekends are more busy) and we found the service to be attentive and quick. See you next time we are in Prague, Savoy!

Yelp
Echoing what everyone else mentioned - make a reservation in advance!!! I went on a Sunday afternoon so the menu offered many brunch and breakfast options. I had a bit of trouble choosing so I asked the waiter for his recommendation and ended up ordering the Café Latté Savoy, Eggs Royale, and the Sweet Bread (?) dessert. The latté had chocolate and cinnamon in it if I recall the description correctly. It was delicious! I wasn't sure what to expect portion-wise, but the Eggs Royale was larger than I anticipated. Smoked salmon, 2 eggs, hollandaise sauce, and caviar all sandwiched in a flaky, delicious, croissant. It was absolutely delicious, but definitely a bit heavy and filling. Still, I ate the entire thing because it was just SO dang good. Last came out the dessert - I don't recall the name as the waiter had pointed to it and said how it was his favorite, so I ordered it on the spot. A light, fluffy bread in a mildly sweet cream sauce, topped with powdered sugar and fresh strawberries. I really enjoyed this, though I may have enjoyed it more had I not been so full from the Eggs Royale. I wasn't able to finish it all, but I wish I had the room to. I felt bad not being able to! My waiter was stellar. The service was prompt, so friendly, and professional. It was definitely a highlight for me! An additional note - the interior is absolutely stunning. The ceiling, chandeliers, are beautiful. I snapped a couple pictures prior to my meal.

Emily S.

Yelp
We came here for breakfast based on the amazing reviews and ratings online. It was definitely very good but I didn't think it was quite worth the hype. The French toast was unique but a little dry. The coffee and juice was good but no different from most cafes. And the eggs were fresh and delicious, but again that isn't surprising in a city like this. While I'd certainly come back, I wouldn't walk several miles to do it like I did this time.

Anonymus N.

Yelp
I have heard of this cafe over social media and had to try it out! Nevertheless, I was impressed and still think about the amazing breakfast I shared with my friend while I was in Praha. While my friend ordered the classic breakfast, I ordered the traditional French and it did not disappoint. The croissant with scrambled eggs and truffles on top was truly a crowd pleaser! I've been to France before and have never had such a decadent breakfast as this. It was truly remarkable and delicious. The French breakfast came with a side of fries, salad, latte, orange juice and a chocolate croissant and it was incredible. As for the service, it was decent as our waiters checked in on us and asked for feedback. However, I wished they didn't sit us so close to the entrance door because it was cold that day. The interior of this cafe is beautiful. It's one of the oldest cafes in Praha and I'm so glad to have dined here during my time. The food came also pretty quick and was so so worth it. Highly recommend for anyone who is traveling to try breakfast here.

Robert K.

Yelp
Our best meal in Prague. Food was well prepared, portioned well and the service was attentive but not overly so. The whole family agreed everything came together for a delicious meal and time.

Lily S.

Yelp
Such a lovely breakfast here. My sister is a hot chocolate connoisseur and swears this is the best she's ever had. I ordered the French breakfast and she got the smoked salmon croissant. It was so much food, but everything was great. The service and ambience was also very nice. Be sure to make a reservation in advance!

Catalina T.

Yelp
SO GOOD! We paid Cafe Savoy a second visit in our stay and if I could, I would teleport myself to this magical place every weekend to treat myself to their most amazing breakfast croissants. This place is cute, has friendly service and their food is all delicious. You must make a reservation. They can be pretty busy. *Highly recommended* The French breakfast: This consisted of fluffy, delicious, incredible, unforgettable, dreamy scrambled eggs in a croissant that was super buttery and flaky. UGH THE BEST!!!!! It also comes with a side of french toast topped with fruit, a side of mustard, potatoes, picked veggies, grilled pork sausages and a bit of lettuce. You also get fresh oj and a cafe aulait.. seriously! What more do you want with this meal other than a hug. You will walk out with a permanent smile on your face after eating this. The croissant was so good that I did not want to share it. It has also become my mission to find a location near where I live that can make something similar because I will most likely have withdraws. I'm already missing it. I had this meal twice in my visit and I had no regrets. Highly recommended. * Pre Pandemic *

Alexander H.

Yelp
I'd walk 1000 miles if I could just be able to smell the truffle croissant again. This was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. Beautiful building and a nice staff. You really can't find these places in the United States. If you're trying to find somewhere to snack and/or have breakfast this please treat yourself.

Brodie Z.

Yelp
Reception man is kind of cool but cold, I have no idea if this is the Czech style or just his own way to grant customers. But the waiters inside are much nicer and helpful. Indeed food was simple but good taste. If you decide to come during weekends, better make a reservation or have to wait in queue and to be granted by the cool man;-)

Cam G.

Yelp
This is the best French toast I've ever had and I think of it often. Next time I'm in Prague I will be making a stop

Sugandha G.

Yelp
Beautiful setting for a quick evening pick me up. This place feels regal and I loved the service. The Apple strudel was served warm with a warm crème anglaise and whipped cream. Just what I needed to get out of the cold and warm up

Hassan S.

Yelp
Great ambiance, good menu and good. The eggs Benedict was simply amazing. Good pastries too.

Philip F.

Yelp
Cafe Savoy was the first place we ate at in Prague. The beautiful setting of this French inspired cafe was wonderful. I got a croissant with Prague ham and a horseradish spread that was amazing made my mouth dance. My wife tried ordering the fruit dumplings but they were out, she tried another thing but they were out of that and had to settle for an almond croissant. It was good, but didn't satisfy what she was craving. The Savoy hot chocolate was tasty and worth it.

Callie V.

Yelp
Highly suggest! I had the French Breakfast, and it was worth it for the Croissant with Scrambled Eggs and Truffle alone. Truly one of the best things I've ever eaten. A little pricier than other places I've been to, but even then it's not pricey by American standards.

Cinthia K.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast with my friend during our last morning in Prague. This place kept showing up in virtually every best of list when were looking up places to eat in Prague, so we figured we'd cave and get our last meal here before we had to catch out flight leaving Prague. Despite arriving here at around 8AM or so, the place was already pretty full, and by the time we had finished eating here, there was a bit of a line of people waiting to be seated. Definitely seems like it's mostly popular with tourists, but then again, Prague in general has tons of tourists. Their breakfast menu is fairly extensive, and they have a whole window display full of pastries that you can choose to have with your breakfast as well. Oh, and it's worth mentioning that the restaurant is quite beautiful, with high ceilings, tasteful finishings, and soft lighting. I decided to get their fried eggs with black truffles, coffee, and one of their croissants. My friend opted for their breakfast Savoy set instead. Our food came out fairly promptly, and I was very impressed with the amount of truffle shavings I got on my eggs. The eggs were also quite delicious, and the truffles just elevated the simple dish to great heights, at least in my own head. The croissant was excellent as well, and the coffee was great as well. My friend also quite enjoyed her meal, though she needed a little help getting through some of her meal, so I was much obliged to at least help her with the sponge cake, which was also pretty good. Their bathrooms are located in one of their lower levels, and just to the right of the bathrooms, is a window where you can see the kitchen staff make pastries. A pretty cool thing to see. All in all, my friend and I had a great breakfast here, and it may be frequented by lots of tourists, but we thought it was well worth coming out here for. I imagine that if their other mealtime offerings were just as good as their breakfasts here, that it surely deserves all the acclaim that it has received thus far. Would definitely recommend to both tourists and locals alike.

Corina Q.

Yelp
I had bookmarked Cafe Savoy originally for their Savoy Plate and other savory Czech dishes, but my friend and I ended up stopping in at a weird in-between time at around 3pm, so we opted for cakes instead. My friend requested to sit on the second floor, because it was quieter and you could see the beautiful restaurant (and chandelier!) from the top. My friend had been here many times and sweared that the Vetrinik was the best thing she's ever had, but they sadly sold out of the last one right as we got there. So she got the regular Venecek, which was essentially a cream puff sliced in half, filled with vanilla custard and topped with a vanilla icing. I had a bite and it was so amazing. Not overly sweet like cream puffs you'd find in America, and the top glaze reminded me of a French Cruller donut. I had the Dort Sacher, which is essentially a chocolate cake layered with apricot jam. They topped it off with a fresh, unsweetened housemade whipped cream. The cake was sweet, and the apricot jam gave it a beautifully balanced tang, and the whipped cream gave the cake a nice milky, creaminess to.

Yelp
Although Café Savoy is most popular for its breakfast service, since daily breakfast at our hotel was included in our stay, I decided to give it a try for lunch instead. They are popular and busy, and therefore service is quite slow, at least during my visit. My food arrived rather fast considering, but my server was just in absentia much of the time. I ordered a cappuccino, and the eggs Benedict off the "today's offerings" menu. This was the most unique eggs Benedict interpretation I've ever had. Brioche croutons encircle poached eggs, lardons made from Prague ham, a foamy acidic hollandaise, baby spinach, and slightly sweet pickled onions. The flavors were phenomenal, and surprisingly light for eggs Benedict. The eggs were slightly under poached in my opinion but otherwise I was impressed and pleased by this choice! I couldn't resist the mini caramel profiterole for dessert, and it was amazing! I should have gotten the full size instead :) Something not to be missed at Café Savoy is a visit downstairs near the entrance to the bathrooms where you'll find a glass wall overlooking the pastry kitchen! I was delighted to watch a pastry cook measuring insanely massive amounts of butter and painstakingly laminating dough. Those croissants are the real deal!

Dayna W.

Yelp
Delightful brunch spot in Prague. The food was delicious and beautiful. Be sure to get a reservation so you don't have to wait!

Amy L.

Yelp
One of the waiters was visibly very sullen and short with us, but fulfilled requests. His attitude added a sour note to our visit. Food was pretty good (savory breakfast was a great value set + the coffee was smooth), but I wish the roasted gnocchi with Parmesan + truffle had more flavor. Ordered some pastries on the way out, and they were delicious. Ambiance is quite nice, I imagine it as a great brunch spot to catch up with friends. Would try to reserve a seat by the window if you can!

Relish F.

Yelp
Service is good, food is delicious, desserts is wonderful, environment is comfortable, especially coffee is one of the best that's been in my life.

Marian M.

Yelp
Dinner time, classy-elegant ambience, we sat by the window. It was very good, the service, each course: as starter we had snails, and as main courses we chose the Wiener schnitzel with potatoe salad + slow roasted duck leg with beetroot and spãtzle pasta. Everything was delicious!

Brittany S.

Yelp
My thoughts: they should bottle up the homemade mustard and sell it. It had the perfect horseradish-y kick in the butt paired with the thick texture of a rustic-style mustard. Oh man, I love a good mustard. Alas, you probably didn't come here looking for a mustard review. In addition to the Old Time-y, Eastern European cafe vibes, folks come here for the schnitzel and Karamelov Vetrinik (a caramel icing covered cream puff donut of sorts). You'll see it in the glass case to your left upon entering the business. It's quite delicious. I imagine it would pair well with a coffee drink but it was too late in the day for me to confirm. I did, however, order the Prague ham served with pickles...and mustard ;) Its a very small serving - especially given the price. In fact, you should be warned that this place is significantly more expensive than fellow cafes in Prague. Strong "ladies who lunch" vibes. Oh, they're also know for the cheese curd fruit dumplings- which I had planned on ordering but the combo of the price and my growing waistline decided otherwise. The space is quite large with an upper and lower level- plenty of room for all of those tourists ;)

Yuval G.

Yelp
Service is good and fast - but I did not see a lot of smiles from the waiters which for me personally is part of the experience to see happy people ( we also have quite some time for our regular water.. ) - 3/5 For start we got the hot chocolate drink with whip cream 3.5/5 - cream alone was tasteless - add it to the hot chocolate to enjoy it at all. For small dishes - starters we (2 people) ordered the French fries with truffle and mayonnaise, and the steak tartare ( my friend) For the fries - the dish was really big, tasty, crunchy, and had enough salt. I also really enjoyed the special mayonnaise which comes with the dish. I did wished there were either more sauces or cheese or something because it became really boring really fast but the overall experience was amazing. 4.5/5 My friend also ordered the Beef Tartar - the dish is the perfect size for 1-2 people although you get a uneven number of olive oil toast, the toast is crunchy and tasty and the meat is rich and flavorful, lots of spices and herbs to make it taste like it does. A very well deserved Michelin star. 4.5/5 For the main course - We order both the Beef Wellington and the signature French Toast For the Wellington, it is not your usual Wellington. As the original is made of tenderloin and this one is shoulder meat, yet it doesn't make it any less tasty, it is less tender and the dough was a little under made. But i did enjoy it very much. 4/5 As for the side dish. I'll make it short, not a great selection of root vegetables and the potatoes were hard as partial hardened clay. Wouldn't order again 0.5/5 For the French Toast - it was really great, many different flavors - it was a first time for me I really enjoyed a French toast that much and for that reason - 5/5 If I could I would rate It as a 4.5 Really nice first time experience. Will be back!

Vaclav H.

Yelp
Poor menu with no service We were standing at the entrance for 10 min and than left

Joyce L.

Yelp
Excellent service here and the decor is amazing. Definitely make sure you make a reservation because it gets packed at dinner time. We got some amuse bouche to start off and they were delicious. We then got the escargot which was OK and it was definitely not fresh but rather from a can/frozen. The parsley and garlic sauce was amazing with the bread that it came with. The duck breast and rabbit leg for entrees were delicious and cooked just right. We then ordered a few desserts to take home which were pretty good. I loved the cheesecake but would probably pass on the citron tart as it was too sour for me and not as well balanced.

Kaiy S.

Yelp
Literally love this place and loving traveling to Prague cause this is always on my todo list especially for their French toast.... So freaking good!

Anne M.

Yelp
I want to like this place a lot, but unfortunately it is the staff that are off putting here. I did not have a reservation when I showed up on a clearly busy Saturday morning incredibly jetlagged, and the hostess literally rolled her eyes at me when I told her that I would be OK waiting the 20 minutes she quoted me to get a table. Turns out I didn't have to wait more than 10 so I had plenty time to review the menu while I stood around. I opted to have the healthy breakfast which comes with oatmeal and fresh made bread with eggs and cheeses. I also ordered a latte which arrived way before the food so my coffee was already cold before the food arrived. When the food did arrive I have to admit that it was definitely good value for money, since this establishment seems to be a high society type of place I was happy with my choice. I also ordered a croissant and that plus the coffee were probably the biggest let downs of the food and drinks. At one point I asked the server for a knife so that I could cut some of the bread and he got annoyed because he'd already given me a spoon and apparently that should have been enough for me! I would like to experience dinner here sometime perhaps with a different staff but overall the healthy breakfast option was tasty and good value for money and all three stars are for that alone.

Yelp
I am such a huge fan of this place. The atmosphere is classic European and you feel like you're dining in luxury. I went here for brunch and I ordered the "savoy" which was scrumptious. My favorite part was the crossiant and hot chocolate (combined). The egg on toast was also good!! My friend got the English breakfast and she said it was tasty! The service here is great! They pay attention to you and make sure the food comes out quickly. Book in advance though because it is a popular place! I would definitely come here again for a luxurious experience.

Yelp
To be honest, I was unimpressed by the restaurant. The cappuccino I ordered was more expensive and smaller than cappuccinos I had gotten elsewhere in Prague. The restaurant was pretty expensive in general compared to other cafes in Prague of the same quality. I ordered an omelet, which was very filling and oily. Honestly don't get the hype, except that the restaurant is a beautiful place. Maybe my standards are too high after being to other amazing restaurants around the world.

Yelp
I was very excited to try this restaurant from other Yelp reviews and when our Airbnb host recommended it just as highly we had to go! I was NOT disappointed!! This was our best meal experience in Prague. A reservation is a MUST! Avoided any kind of wait and was able to make the reservation on their website. I can't say enough about how good the food and coffee were. My husband had the French breakfast and I had the Savoy breakfast. Even my 2 year old ate a ton! The atmosphere was great as well. Beautiful decorated and felt fancy without being stuffy. The wait staff was very attentive and patient. The waitress took my 2 year old to the front bar area to let him pick out his own new fork after he dropped his old one on the ground.

Yelp
Cafe Savoy came highly recommended from both locals and tourists, so we knew we had to squeeze in a visit. When traveling with a group of five, it's tough to just walk-in somewhere and get a table, so we made reservations for a late lunch/coffee break. The space is absolutely gorgeous and actually Michelin rated, which was unexpected. My cafe au lait with almond milk was quite good and I had their egg in a cup which was SO good. Eggs in Europe are just better and fresher in every way, so the perfectly soft-cooked eggs with bright orange yolks just melted in my mouth. A sprinkle of cheese and chives really elevated the dish. Everyone else's food also looked and tasted great, particularly the eggs and bacon and the savoy fruit dumplings. Cute ambiance and good food wins every time. There's also an in-house patisserie churning out croissants, cakes, and other pastries, giving the cafe a very French vibe.

Yelp
Fancy location that seems to be always very crowded. The food was partly great (e.g., eggs benedict, french breakfast, french toast), partly nothing to write home about (e.g., savoy breakfast). The service was so-so, they seemed to be very busy. Don't forget to visit the restrooms and have a look at the bakery and see how your croissants are being made - there is a huge window next to the restroom entrances!

Yelp
**BEAUTIFUL AND DELICIOUS BREAKFAST IN PRAGUE** It's all about the classical ambiance here and yes, the delicious breakfast counts, too. AMBIANCE ========= Dripping chandeliers, lofty ceilings, and Great Gatsby vibes. White table cloths and uniformed staff. It's what a French breakfast or brunch should be about. A bit loud, but that's a good sign, it's popular. RATING: 5/5 ORDERED ========= BREAKFAST SAVOY - 245 CZK Omelette with cheese, open ham sandwich, sponge cake, their bread buns, farmer's butter, jam, and hot chocolate was a substantial breakfast. The jam was tasty (you can tell it was housemade) and the hot chocolate was very good, typical Euro-style. My favorite part of the meal was the ham sandwich. RATING: 4.5/5 Also ordered their freshly squeezed orange juice which was very good, but I prefer a bit pulpy. RATING: 4/5 SERVICE ======== Professional and efficient which is better than unprofessional and slow. Our dishes came out in a timely manner (no more than 10 min wait). RATING: 4/5 OVERALL ======== One of my favorite breakfast spots in Prague and would recommend to couples, families, and small groups. There will be a wait (30 min or so) if you do not make advance reservations.
