Where To Go Instead Of Pura Vida

"If the thing that turns you off about Pura Vida is the smoothie-clutching mayhem—not the Goop-esque wellness of it all—then maybe try Cafe Smood. This is also one of those fancy health spots where you may hear a server declare that a certain smoothie is “good for your skin and gut health” but at least it’s peaceful inside and the service is good. The food is better than Pura Vida too. The place serves bowls, egg dishes, sandwiches, salads, and a spinach quiche we’d eat again. You can order it all for takeout, but you can also sit at a table and place your order with an actual server." - mariana trabanino, virginia otazo, ryan pfeffer

Cafe Smood Review - Wynwood - Miami - The Infatuation

"Cafe Smood is one of those fancy health restaurants where you may hear a server declare that a certain smoothie is “good for you skin and gut health” but at least it’s peaceful inside and the service is good. This place serves bowls, breakfast, sandwiches, salads, and a spinach quiche we’d happily eat again. Magdoos Review - Wynwood - Miami - The Infatuation

"This Lebanese spot is on a quiet side street on the northern edge of Wynwood, and you should come here if you’re ever really craving classic dishes like fried kebbe, hummus, tabbouleh, and kebabs. They aren’t the best versions of these things we’ve ever tried, but they’re solid enough to justify a return trip. Plus, they’ve got a pretty cozy back patio where you can eat on a nice night while smoking hookah." - Ryan Pfeffer

12 Great Juice Bars to Try Right Now - Eater Miami

"Arguably the most chic juicing concept in South Florida, Dr. SMOOD is almost as pretty as it is delicious. The rapidly expanding juicing concept (with locations in South Miami, Brickell, and South Beach) features a variety of “energizing” juices, salads, sandwiches and small bites in a setting featuring plenty of marble, dark wood, low-ceilings and plush seating. The Order: The Live Juice No. 5 is the go-to choice for many." - Olee Fowler

It was a real pleasure to have lunch here. I had the Farmers Paradise salad with an additional salmon fillet and an iced matcha with cashew milk. Both were delicious. The food came quickly and the waiter was pleasant. The cafe is modern and relaxed. The only negatives were they don't show you a receipt to review. The waiter reads it to you from the handheld register and pushes you to say it's okay. Also, the waiter never checked on me to see if my food was okay. All in all, I would go back.

Google
Pretty place but unfortunately REALLY uninspired food. The 15 Dollar avocado toast was just a super thin, gummy and oily piece of bread, really hard to cut, with just plain avocado on it (of which one part wasn't even ready to eat), plus a slice of lemon. So boring. I ordered a few extra tomatoes to make it slightly more interesting (which were an 4 extra dollars), but that didn't help much either. This was one of the two vegan options on the breakfast menue, the other one is hummus. You do realize there is more to vegan food and it's pretty easy to make, yeah? The iced coffee was also nothing to write home about, tbh. I left the place and had payed 33 Dollars, it was such a rip-off. The service was really super nice and quick, though, so I left a tip for them. But I will definitely not come back.

Google
Café-Smood has a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, but what impresses the most is the chefs and their creations. A small, efficient kitchen with a specialized menu packed with potent flavors, in health conscious dishes. I will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to anyone with a stomach. (Try the brunch burrito with chorizo)

I have been coming here for a year now and I love coming here for work days and cafe dates with friends! The natural light and ambience is amazing. I get so much work done in this place and I feel great knowing all of the food and wine is sourced organically and top quality. Everything on the menu has been delicious so far, but my all time favorite dish is the Kale Pesto Salad and I always combine it with the Mango Ginger Sea Moss drink 😍 There is options for everyone which is what makes it super easy to eat there! Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, etc.

This is the first Dr. Smood I have been to years ago and it is always a delight to come here and to the other locations. The coffee is really good and I like that I have the choice of using homemade cashew milk which makes the coffee creamy unlike other places where their cashew milk makes the coffee thin and not enjoyable. Also they have palm sugar syrup which can be added to the coffee and gives it a little different taste. They also have organic juices, snacks etc.

This place is the best! The food is delicious, the ambiance is great. So many people come to get work done while there or just sit back and chill out while having a nice meal. Definitely worth it to check this place out.

Google
Nice place to grab a coffee or latte when you are in Wynwood. I had a cappuccino with oat milk and it was very good. Absolutely gorgeous decor!

Google
Nice place. There is always a table available. Baristas and team members are super nice. Outdoors sitting. Dogs friendly. Coffee is ok, nothing wow. Tried the oatmeal superfood and it was ok as well. It’s always clean, the bathrooms are impeccable. It’s a good place to work for a bit and take a break.

Yelp
While the service was good, I wasn't a fan of the food or environment. I got the smood tuna melt and I really don't like dill but the menu didn't mention it at all. The bread was really crispy so that was a plus at least. I had the smoothie (forgot the name) and it was really good and had a unique flavor. The total cost of my meal was around $40 after tax and tip, and honestly it was not worth it. I knew the smoothie was expensive going in so I was fine with that, but the tuna melt was a waste of money for me because no me gusta dill at all. As for the atmosphere, I was sitting in the back corner near the window next to a plant. It was really warm and made me anticipating to leave. Also, I don't know if it's the house plant next to me or what but there were a lot of small flies buzzing around me and my food. Hard to study or eat when half my attention is on shooing flies away.

Yelp
I used to go to the Dr Smood in Coral gables. Was bummed when they closed it. I decided to check out the newly renovated Dr Smood in Wynwood. And wow the vibes are on point. The music the service everything is on point ! So much light. The place is great for a coffee and to catch up on work. Their menu has something for everyone. I want to come for the dinner. Their food is so refreshing and healthy. I highly recommend this spot. It has the IT vibe ! Very aesthetic for photos

Yelp
After trying Dr. Smood in South Miami years ago, I did not want to try it again. However, they changed it up a bit and the one in wynwood looks beautiful. Unfortunately I came when the AC broke but I still got an iced vanilla late. That was probably the most expensive coffee I've ever paid for because service charge was included... for a coffee. Even though it was expensive, I can't lie... it was really good. Probably the best coffee I've had in a while.

Yelp
Dr. Smoods is my newfound haven for productivity - the ideal spot to caffeinate creativity and conquer tasks! As Rhye's soulful melody serenaded my work, I realized this review couldn't wait. The service was as sweet as the background tunes, creating an atmosphere that's practically a productivity playlist. Aesthetically pleasing vibes made it a visual treat, elevating my focus. Now, let's talk food - the chicken picante sandwich is my latest obsession; it's a flavor explosion! Even the side salad surprised my taste buds. And that green juice? I can't recall the number, but it's like health in a cup - in the best way possible! Five stars for fueling both my work and taste bud adventures!

Yelp
$12 dirty matcha was so bad I couldn't drink it. I can only think they never made this drink before or something and let's not forget it's $12 most expensive drink and I take a gander at all the fancy roasters etc but then I try to call see if they'll fix it and phone is just busy for hours like they take it off the hook before they close???! poor job cafe smood I should've looked on here to see what I was getting into but lesson learned.

Yelp
Crazy expensive. I came with a friend. We ordered two bottles of juice of approximately 6 oz. I got the bill, $34. Insane!!!

Yelp
Good lattes however they should train their staff better. I sat down waiting for my waiter to assist me and take my order for about 20 minutes. I kid you not, the waiter looked me dead in the eye and ignored me. After that, a white man came in and the waiter instantly accommodated him and continued to ignore my existence. I got fed up and decided to just order through their cashier instead. Dr. Smood has great organic options, however I wish their customer service and staff were up to par, considering they charge a limb for their products. Please check your staff and their attitudes:/ shame. (Wynwood location. Came in 06/05)

Yelp
This is a fine cafe, where coffee is quite decent and pastry is good. The space is clean and in certain way cool. Not original, but rather what you'd expect from a nice and king of generic establishment with professional staff.

Yelp
went and ordered a matcha today to-go and it came out to $10 for a small matcha latte :O that is crazy! I will go somewhere else for my matcha lattes. This is way over proced

Yelp
I am a resident of Miami and took some family vacationers to Smood in Wynwood. Let me start by saying that the coffee was good. But I was embarrassed to have brought my guests to this cafe. We ordered 2 coffees and 3 tea drinks, and the bill was $74! When we questioned the bill we were treated as though we had no right to know what the drinks cost! When we wanted to sit down to drink our drinks we were told that we couldn't sit down because we didn't order food. And even though we ordered medium sized coffees we were given small. The person waiting on us seemed to be the manager who truly needs to be replaced. Her attitude was condescending, unprofessional, and was unacceptable. I am sorry that I ever took my visitors to this cafe. This cafe embarrassed me before my guests and does not exemplify the kind of welcome we want to give to visitors to Miami. Trust me, I'll never be back!
