TOURIST TRAP!!! BEWARE!!! Came across this restaurant on Google, and saw it had a 4.2/5 ratings with 1,326 reviews, so we went in for dinner. The waiters were rude, and they didn't understand what we were asking as they were not native English speakers. The French Onion Soup was probably out of a can, and it had no flavors except it was VERY SALTY! The cost was $18, for a canned soup. The pasta we had for entree was even worst. It was basically canned tomato and frozen eggplants stirred together with bowtie pasta - and this was $23. The salmon was also bland and overcooked. Honestly, the freshest part of the salmon dish was the green beans and the slices of carrots, for a whopping $38! This place is making a killing for the quality and the quantity of what they are charging customers walking in. STAY AWAY FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT. You can find better food in NYC!

I have been coming to Café Un Deux Trois since the 80s. I went last week and was so happy I did. I decided to sit at the bar and eat. The friendly, welcoming staff and ambiance were just what I needed that day. The food was delicious. I took the bartenders recommendation, and it was perfect. I have the Quiche Lorraine with a side of fries. The quiche was light, fluffy, and delicious. They have a great selection of wines as well. I highly recommend going there if your theater bound, happy hour or just want to eat.

On Christmas Eve we stopped to have dinner at this restaurant. Very nice atmosphere. Beautiful Christmas decor. Tasty food. We had pâté for appetizer, it was alright. Very thin and dry slice. Wasn’t impressed with it at all. Could be a lot better for French restaurant. We had Steak and salmon for dinner it was tasty. Very friendly owner was browsing around the restaurant offering drinks on him. We don’t drink alcohol so we didn’t order any. But it was a nice gesture. Merci!

Fairly empty for a late lunch on Saturday. Pasta was good. The chicken was a bit dry and could have used more flavoring, but portion size was huge!

Went there for lunch and it’s a good place with a bit of classic vibe. There are good options for vegetarians - we had omelet and crepe both and both were good. The pesto crepe was very flavorful. Service was good and it was not very crowded when we visited on Thursday afternoon

I have my last night at New York with the perfect ending here!!! We had the party with everyone who was there! Got the Santa over and have the Christmas party again. Full of people at restaurant even before 6pm. There was even no empty seats. It totally made my day before heading to the airport. I really enjoyed being there with my sister, and we enjoyed the perfect dinner and wonderful atmosphere dining area together. I would love to bring my kids there again and enjoy our dinner here. It’s a super amazing day.

It is a french café in New York. Everything was delicious for our sunday brunch. We ordered crepes, french toast, moules, quiche. Very good presentation and tasty. The service was good and very kind. Highly recommend. We tried new york cake very creamy and yummy. Portions are very large.

The Nutella 🌰 🍫 crêpes 🥞 we’re DELICIOUS! I recommend requesting they add banana 🍌 on top. So good! It wasn’t too crowded at 9 in the morning. Service was very quick and food was amazing! ☕️

Arly, our bartender concocted the best Espresso Martini ever. So Good! His best version doesn't include Baileys but he accommodated by wishes.

Whenever we go into NYC for a play we always enjoy an early meal at this fabulous spot! Feels like we've been going there for at least two decades. Food & service are great. Casually chic atmosphere and best of all the prices are rather reasonable. I enjoyed quiche & salad and my friends were delighted with their choices as well.

I've been a loyal customer for over 30 years, but as of today, I'm done. The prices just don't justify the experience anymore. We all realize inflation has taken its toll, but this place is now taking advantage and not just covering rising expenses. $38 for a mediocre chicken dish, $15 for profiteroles (not so fresh) and worst of all, they now charge for a basket of bread. I don't know why a restaurant would do that because it's the one insult everyone remembers. Keep looking around, tourists, there are plenty of better options.

Not a terrible meal but not a great one either. We did the pre theate menu. At $48 you can't expect a lot, and I do try to keep that in perspective. I stated with a potato leek soup which was on the bland side. Also, the chicken cordon bleu was a little tough and my guess been under a heat lamp. I did enjoy the mustard sauce. I had the sorbet which was fine. It also includes a coffee or tea. I had two glasses of their house Côtes - du Rhône. It had some nice fruit and was easy drinking. Service was definitely attentive and they are set up for the theater crowd. My share in a group of three including tax and tip was $96.84. This was not a ripoff at this price point in the theater district, but I think I can do better so likely will not return.

Extremely accommodating! Made a brunch reservation for a chapter which was intended to be a large group but ended up being half the size. No reservation or no show fee, which was most helpful! Prix fixe Brunch options were great!

Beautiful atmosphere and absolutely delicious food. I had the Lobster Bisque and the duck special - both remarkable and well priced by NY standards. My dinner companion had the house salad and the half chicken; delicious. We were simply too full for dessert, but I wish we had tried. Our server, Miguel, was charming, insightful and welcoming. The ideal server. Miguel was also popular as every table he cared for engaged with him and seemed to enjoy the conversation. If he is indicative of the other servers at Cafe Un Deux Trois, you must dine here. I'll be back on my next trip to Manhattan. Don't miss this gem of a NYC restaurant.

The food at Sun Deuc Trois was delicious. As you might expect from a French restaurant, the food here is elevated while the portions were filling. No need for leftovers since we are in a hotel room. I had the Poulet Cordon Bleu which tasted great and I especially liked the carrots , done perfectly. My husband enjoyed his salmon burger too. The atmosphere is upscale too. My only complaint is the price but that shouldn't be a surprise since it's right off Times Square on 44th Street. Service was prompt but she neglected to offer us a 2nd glass of wine as we would've gotten it. For more hearty fare there are Irish restaurants on most every street. But here you can savor what a good chef can do. Bon Appetit!

We had theater tickets for a 7 pm show and wanted to dine first that was close to the Hudson Theater. Cafe Un Deux Trois is steps away. The restaurant is huge and had a French feel. The wine list is extensive and all from France. I ordered the Lucien Albrecht Riesling which wasn't sweet at all which is great. We all ordered from the theater menu which was $48 and you get an appetizer, main course, dessert with coffee or tea. I ordered the salad, salmon and NY cheesecake. Everything was delicious and the service excellent. Highly recommend if you are in the theater district.

We had an excellent dinner here pre-show. We made reservations for 4:30pm that way we didn't have to rush swallowing our dinners to get to a 7pm show a block and a half away. We came the weekend before Christmas and the restaurant was decorated in tasteful holiday decor. Otherwise, the restaurant looked quite sophisticated looking on its own. The waiter was kind, attentive, and considerate. He asked if we were attending a show and when we told him we were, he asked for the time so they can make sure we weren't delayed. We ordered our drinks which were delivered to our table quickly then he took our orders. I started with the soup of the day and then the fish special. I don't remember what my friends ended up getting, but we all enjoyed our meals. My fish was cooked well and was flavorful. We ended our meals with a dessert each. I had the NY cheesecake, of course, and loved every bite. Our meal was fantastic and the service was terrfic!

A cafe that's almost 50 years old must be doing something right to stay in business this long. Then again, it's a very touristy area and one and done could have helped, which is my takeaway after this visit. The restaurant does have an air of something French to it as soon as you walk in. Big mirrors, chandeliers, photos of celebrities, red décor and even table placement give it a European ambiance. The service was polite, but one of our dishes did not arrive for ten minutes after everyone else at the table was already eating. That was a big miss. The food was decent, not great, but that's where one needs to lower their expectations. This is NOT a French restaurant, it's more akin to a diner. Bottom line, visit, but set your expectations accordingly.

4 stars for gentlemen at front and for dessert. And for Christmas decorations and singing. 3 stars for all else. Food is eh. Service is eh. Gentlemen at front very sweet. Tarte tartin was exceptional as well as the profiteroles. Croque monsieur was bland and soft. Crepe classic was ok. Side salad was good. Loved the Man in the Santa suit getting everyone to sing 12 days of Christmas. So fun and festive.

Lovely French bistro that literally made us feel like we were back living in Paris! We stopped by before a comedy show nearby on a Saturday night. We had early reservations at 5pm which the restaurant was empty. However literally within 20 mins the entire restaurant was filled in every single table! Our group ordered a variety of dishes, escargot, lobster bisque, spinach crepe, salmon. I love my spinach crepe which was completely filled with large chunks of spinach. And desserts were great too! Especially the profiteroles! However one thing to point out was that the server tried to pull a fast one on us by charging us for an extra dish despite we had 1 menu from the pre fixe theater. With my sharp eye, I noticed! Nothing can pass me! Other than that experience, overall lovely evening.

Lovely restaurant, never disappoints. Staff was great, food was delicious, live music, and the place was festively decorated in Christmas cheer.

Classic French Cooking. If you have been to Paris you know what to request and what you will get. It is typical of being there. The crowd. The noise. The prices. The food. The team. It is always like this in most of Paris. So to be here in NYC I have been going to Un Deux Trois for over 40 years. It is still the same. You know what it will be like. The menu is large. Even more than what you get in Paris. The the portions are good. The chef is excellent. The taste and quality is ideal. We did order the Pre-Theatre Menu. It was perfect. Pate is excellent. Chicken Cordon Bleu or the Salmon was nice. The desert (and a coffee) perfect. Start with a glass of wine and you have stepped back into another place. A special thanks to the team with their help. I am already booked for another reservation (which is required) later this month. It is a typical way of being in France once more. Bon...Merci.

Have been coming for years and was left less than impressed on Dec. 20. The owner came by our table of 5 on several occasions to try to do his hospitality table touch thing. He offered to buy us a round of drinks, but never did. My entree came when the rest of the party was nearly finished eating. He offered us dessert after we already had some on the table. Upon leaving, the 80-year-old owner creepily and inappropriately nuzzled into my 21 year old niece's neck. Won't be back.

I'm a long time fan of Cafe Un, Deux Trois! Today was another very enjoyable early dinner. Massively personable wait staff and bartenders. Almost my 'Cheers' bar. Today I had the dinner special - Pan sautéed sesame crusted Mahi Mahi with a teriyaki sauce, and Artichoke hearts, French Green Beans and Baby Bok Choi. Flavors perfect; as were the vegetables. Sadly the Mahi Mahi was very dry and overdone. Still, happily cleaned my plate.

Came here last week with my family. The food was mediocre at best. No one in my party liked their dish. I got the Salmon Burger, expecting a salmon fillet, but it was actually a ground up salmon patty. Tasted more like a crab cake. The fries were good but that was about it. Also, bread is not included with the meal. The service was good and it was definitely a convenient location next to the theater, but the food wasn't good enough for me to want to go back.

We needed a quick, light dinner before our show. Even without a reservation, they got us seated immediately. The menu was just overwhelming, full of treats and heavy meals, light fare, desserts. Whatever your heart's desire. They got us served and checked out fast, thanks!! BTW Un Deux Trois - nice since your address is 123. Very clever.

Cute spot. Service was just ok; food subpar. Would I visit again absolutely not. I ordered the salmon crepe, and lox. Costly and not worth it.

Good food, friendly service. Ran out of beer on draft late Sunday afternoon! Why? Also, not accessible for disabled without special help: entrance and test rooms, down long staircase. Guess would assist if you asked. Still good as it has been forever foodwise.

Positives: the service is quick and attentive, the food overall is good Low key French vibe for your budget-friendly traveler Negatives: not all of the food is great; dessert was disappointing, microwaved frozen apple pie basically. The spaghetti left much to be desired (but it's a French place so low expectations) and the Bloody Mary is nothing to brag about. For sure go for the crepes and the service.

We ate here as a group on a tour of NYC. So our menu was an abbreviated menu. The choices were really good as it gave enough variety to please everyone's tastes! The salad was quite good with a good selections of components and the dressing while simple was delicious. My main course was very plentiful, and beautifully plated. I cut up the basil into the sauce which was delicious. The bit of mozzarella on top helped set the plate off. The cheesecake with raspberry drizzle and strawberries made a lovely and delicious dessert! All and all I enjoyed the food and the service from the staff. They were present but not obtrusive. Our plates were removed when the course was done, and the next course promptly served. Everyone was courteous pleasant on the staff. The restaurant was good with excellent food. Nothing spectacular but solid good food with a great staff!!

Nice place to grab a bite before a show if you want to eat in the area. Lobster bisque was amazing and portion was generous (good enough for a light meal in itself). The steak au poivre was decent. Crème brulee was also great. A tad overpriced for the quality, but that's expected given the location.

If out n bout in NY Times Square, my Yelp fam! A MUST!! Super down to earth spot! Very vintage vibe! From start to Finish! Perfection!! From the warming greeting by a lovely hostess to the overall flow of the restaurant was amazing to see n enjoy! Everyone was super polite, had this timing of serving! Food was served hot, flavorful n amazing pancakes! Our server had this bright energy, overall a 10 out of 10!

Ordered grilled salmon "medium rare, more toward rare." Got "medium-well." Terrible for food. Plus, very loud and all tourists. Stay away.

We had an awesome lunch at Cafe Un Deux Trois. One of us had the quiche and the other had crepes. The crepes were generously filled with delicious Gruyère cheese! The quiche was flavorful and hearty. We started off with a cheese plate and a side salad. The staff was friendly and attentive. Plus, the restaurant had plenty of space and a nice atmosphere.

Top-notch food, service and atmosphere. The farfel with eggplant in tomato sauce, spinach crepe and French onion soup were excellent. And the profiteroles in chocolate sauce and the mousse au chocolate were heavenly! We love visiting family or before a show to dine here. Such a treasure!

Went here for a reunion with friends and family! Clever name of the restaurant. It was warm and friendly, service was excellent, food was delicious and generous amount! We just had two quick appetizers before we went to a show on the same street... restaurant was full and bustling on a Wednesday afternoon. Waiters were quick and friendly .. our mussels were amazing and we got the salmon crêpe which was also something totally different and delicious.

Food was alright. Price is cheaper compared to Times Square Dinner, but not in quality and quantity.

Delightful bit of France in midtown. The staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. I had one of the best Quiche Lorraine's in my dining experience and a chocolate cake to die for! The owner was very social, making sure everyone felt cared for. I look forward to my next visit and the one after that and the one after that!

Fine French food -- nothing over the top or haut cuisine, but all of it was well made (the boeuf bourguignon, steak tartar, and lobster bisque were all quite good, as were the chocolate mousse and creme brulee). Service was quick, bordering on pushy, appropriate both for the French waiter and being located in the theater district. Prices were steep, but, again, the food and ambience were good and the location made it worth it. Would visit again.

Anyone looking for steak frites for lunch, served as quickly and cheaply as possible, should look no further than Cafe Un Deux Trois. For everyone else, it's a contender for one of the best lunches in the area, especially if you're looking to celebrate something and feel important. Note that the "prime rib" on the menu is not a prime rib roast, but a ribeye steak that they consider to be "prime." I disagree with this labeling, but at least I thought enough to ask before splurging on it.

We were staying not too far from here and looking at the amazing reviews we decided to give it a shot. Should have chosen T45 or something. The food was small portions and really flavor-less. I'm not quite sure what the rave reviews were about. The hot chocolate was pretty good but everything else was blah. The restaurant definitely has a French, holidays vibe. But that's about it. The service was ok. The server was attentive and nice but I'm very confused on why they never brought any crayons for my toddler. They had a pack of crayons on almost every table. My son noticed that when we were leave. If they had provided us with even 1-2 colors we would have eaten in peace without putting a screen in front of my sons face. Will be avoiding this place going forward.

Wonderful NYC French Bistro in the heart of the theatre district and yet,....just a little outside the chaos. Food delish, service exceptional, atmosphere like the heart of Paris.

We really enjoyed our experience here. It was right across from our hotel and we popped in late at night after my mom's flight to get dinner before hitting the sack. The mussels in white wine were spectacular. She had The chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, and artichokes crêpe, which was also delightful. Tons of food for the price and excellent coffee and adult beverages. We came back the next day for the cheese plate which was also a really good way to stave off hunger before a play and catch up with a friend.

Don't get me wrong, the food was good. But once you get up to 25 bucks, you need to get a little picky. The chicken was cooked dry, there was a weird aftertaste, and it was slightly bland. These would all be fine, if it wasn't so expensive. The employees? They were snooty, I felt judged the whole time. The mood in the restaurant was nice though, can't really complain. Overall, this place is good, but too expensive and fancier than the good they serve.

Near very loud Times Square, this quiet restaurant is a nice oasis. Stopped in right before breakfast service ended at 10:30. The cafe au lait was on point as was the Croque Monsieur. Neither the cafe nor the Croque monsieur was the best I've ever had, but they were pretty good. The salad lightly dressed, the fries a little pale....Service was attentive in just the right "kind of French" way. A nice experience, I'm glad I stopped in.

Came here for weekend brunch and it was a-ok IMO. They offer a prix-fixed brunch set, get a brunch cocktail, coffee or tea, and an entree for $28. I got the eggs Benny, the hollandaise was well made, eggs were poached perfectly, tho English muffin was on the charred side. Also got the profiteroles to end the meal and it was ok too. Service was attentive and not too overbearing. Overall, an okay experience but not in a hurry to return.

I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I would give negative stars if I could. Food was overpriced and underwhelming. Both soups were meh, nothing special. The escargot was possibly the worst I've ever had. It had a slight bitter aftertaste. There was even a crunch in my bite ew! The penne pasta came out on a hot plate and really quickly, which is kind of a red flag. Was it reheated by Chef Mic aka the microwave? Not sure. Anyways, it was subpar and not what I was expecting at all. It also had a bit of bitter aftertaste, maybe from the amount of blue cheese that was mixed in there. I will not be coming back. P.S. Don't order the beef tartare. It does not look appetizing.

Enjoyed our pre-theater lunch/brunch yesterday. The spinach goat cheese and mushroom crepe was very tasty and came with a nice side salad. The endive salad was good but quite small, perhaps not meant to be an entree. The prices are a bit high for the portions but the food was enjoyable and the service was excellent.

It was my first time here and my friends had been here a few. I asked the main server what to order to get me to come back every day for the rest of my life. My typical ice breaker. He suggested a few heavier items then the Croque Monsieur. A glorified ham and cheese with an egg. This was the saddest example I've ever had. The "ham" reminded me of the old "where's the beef" commercials. It was the thinnest slice no where near the size of the regular bread. The entire thing was a waste. The crepe du canada was over cooked.... Though the blended flavors were decent. Overall, I'll never go back and neither will my friends.

Once a solid Theater District standby, unfortunately Cafe Un Deux Trois has seemingly lost its way. Now nothing special at all and living on old reviews attracting tourists. The food is just ok. Go for a pre-theater drink and go somewhere else for dinner.

First time in New York & this restaurant was great! My server Camila was very friendly and had amazing recommendations! The food tasted great! I ordered the Spaghetti with a side of fruit and a great tasting coffee. The ambiance is very low light fancy vibe which made me feel like I was really in France.
