"In Soho, Cafe Yaya is a small all-day spot with coffee in the morning, and wine and beer in the afternoon. They’ve got a food menu as well—expect things like a freekeh salad, a tuna melt, and, when they’ve got it on special, an uni and ikura rice bowl. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

SO GOOD!!!! Tuna melt is a must. Definitely try one of the salads. finish the meal off either with the sundae or cheesecake After we sat down, the owner approached us to say hello, which added to the warm and friendly ambience of the cafe. Great lighting and music choices. The service is excellent Best new spot in town

Food is delicious. Highly recommend the club sandwich and the spicy peanut kale salad. Can’t go wrong with any of the deserts, I had the red velvet cheesecake and the chocolate sundae. Great service and good quality food, will definitely be coming back!

DELICIOUS!! You shouldn’t miss this incredible café in the heart of Soho. The service is exquisite, and the staff including the friendly owner go out of their way to offer you fantastic recommendations, especially for those with dietary restrictions. This spot is a true gem, and it will definitely be part of my weekly routine!!

Café Yaya is a bright, cheery spot for a latte, salad or sandwich and/or dessert. It’s a pleasant escape from a morning/afternoon of shopping in SoHo. The staff is friendly and quick with your order. It has a sleek, modern design of booths and tables, high ceilings and original art works on the walls. I was in NYC for a month from SF and found this is a nice escape from the frenzy and narrow sidewalks of Prince St. It’s remote enough to feel away from the flow of foot traffic but close enough to get right back into the NYC of it. You’ll thank me.

My new favorite spot in soho! Great for a quick healthy tasty meal. My favorites are the club sandwich and spicy peanut kale salad. The sundae is the best I’ve had in NY 🍦 Also great ambiance - elegant, cozy and warm.

Yelp
I was super excited to see Uni Ikura Rice Bowl on the menu, giving this place a Japanese American vibe I'd say. It was Market Price which I think would be fine but unfortunately they had run out by 1PM on a Friday which is so so so so sad considering they're open until 8PM. They were out of the Bok Choy salad as well so I guess these are the popular items. Come early if you want them, they open at 10AM. We opted for the tuna melt sandwich ($17) to share instead with a matcha latte with oat milk ($6). The matcha latte was really good. The tuna melt is decent and well prepared but just seems priced high at $17, it's not necessarily bursting at the seams with protein. The chips it was served with were unique but somewhat familiar maybe from my childhood haha I duno why. It had little mini pickles too. It's a nice quiet place among the eclectic ness of West Village, very calm to stop in for a quick bite. I'd want to come back to try the ikura bowl but that's it!

Yelp
Absolutely adore Cafe Yaya! They are exactly what I have been searching for in terms of finding a cozy and quiet cafe where I can focus, work, read, or relax without being overstimulated by constant noise/foot traffic. Not only is the ambience top tier, the coffee and food is beyond DELICIOUS. They even give you a little cookie when you order a coffee - like how cute is that?! 11/10 job, Cafe Yaya. I will now be visiting you every week!
