Been local for 10 years, and not sure how it took me so long to discover this gem!
Our new breakfast spot in New Orleans. We were looking for other options as we were getting a little tired of our “usuals“. We were rousing through options on Google maps and came across this place open for breakfast.
It was clearly a family Dash run establishment and we really enjoyed hearing about the menu from our server who I believe was part of the family. We were very impressed with their full all-day breakfast menu (see my updated menu photo; the prior most recent photo on Google reviews was three years old and not accurate), especially the large selection of fresh fruit smoothies and a full espresso menu, which is not very common for a small establishment. The Cuban espresso was bold and bracing as you’d like it.
The decor of both the inside and outside dining areas were carefully curated and polished with a touch of someone who clearly cared about their establishment. Dining alongside sunny Carrollton Avenue was a great vibe.
The food was delicious and authentic with large portion sizes! The Chilaquiles in particular were a comforting, warm, spiced morning hug from someone’s sweet abuelita. The sweet plantains were a treat.
I’ll be back ASAP to try the multiple flavors of lunch/dinnertime arepas and the jibaritos.
