Dell’anima Starts New Life in Gotham Market West Food Hall Today | Eater NY

"Now revived at a 22-seat counter in Hell’s Kitchen’s Gotham Market West, Dell’anima relocated from its decade-long West Village home after closing in December. The spirit of its food and wine menus remains the same—soul-satisfying, flavorful, rustic Italian cooking—with signature dishes like tagliatelle bolognese and pollo al diavolo carried over; new items include bone marrow with head cheese and pickled red onion and branzino in cartoccio, and there are now breakfast and lunch options such as a pollo diavolo panini and eggs in purgatory. Wine continues to focus on Italy, emphasizing small producers and largely organic, biodynamic, and natural wines. The counter is surrounded by fellow tenants like Ivan Ramen and Jianbing, founder August Cardona has stepped back into an advisory role, and the restaurant is open Sunday–Thursday 10 a.m.–10 p.m. and Friday–Saturday 10 a.m.–11 p.m." - Stefanie Tuder

Τhe reason I initially chose to sit at the bar was that, by coincidence, they were playing a Greek song by one of my favourite artists at the moment we were passing by and looking for a place to enjoy a relaxed drink. Wonderful service from all the staff! We visited the place for three nights( 25/11, 26/11, 27/11 ) and were absolutely satisfied. Especially Rossana, who was extremely sweet and even recommended places to visit as well as places to avoid. I don’t know if this is common in Italy, but I was ordering the most expensive gins on the menu with a squeeze of lemon and a bit of ice, and they were charging me almost half the price listed on the menu. I hope life brings me back to Rome so I can visit you again!

We were lucky enough to stumble upon this place as we were staying just across the road. This was perfect for us as they opened at 7.00 a.m. serving an array of delicious savories, sandwiches and pastries for breakfast. Then during the day we used to pass by for an aperitif/beer and later on for a cocktail. Every item that we consumed was delicious and the prices, compared to other places in the area, were very decent. A special mention should go to the staff!! Every member of the staff that we happened to meet were extremely helpful, always with a smile and made us feel very welcome. They all seemed like a big happy family, the thing is that after visiting the first time we were feeling as if we were part of it! Hope to revisit in the future, 'alla prossima'.

I had a great experience at this coffee house. The music was wonderful, the Americano was the best I’ve had in the city so far. The weight staff was helpful and the sandwich was extremely good. I recommend this place highly. It has good seating and has a nice little atmosphere. It’s a great place to stop by.

We ordered two negronis which were really bad, not balanced at all. The waitress refused to change our drink, kept saying this is how a negroni is, or do anything about it initially then the manager came in and offered us to change our drinks which we did, those were also pretty basic. Would suggest avoiding this bar.

Caffè Dell' Anima is a gem of a bar in the heart of Rome! This cozy and intimate spot is perfect for a night out with friends or a romantic evening or a single night diving. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with dim lighting and comfortable seating. The drinks menu is extensive and creative, with expertly crafted cocktails and a wide selection of wines and beers. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, happy to help you choose the perfect drink. Whether you're in the mood for a classic negroni or something new and adventurous, Caffè Dell' Anima has got you covered. And with its prime location, it's the perfect spot to people-watch and take in the sights and sounds of the city. Highly recommended! Shout out to people that work here that makes it 5/5! When it gets cold they got you covered!

This was by far my favorite spot in Rome. Great drinks and the hostess/waitress made us feel at home. My wife and I spent two separate nights at this bar during our week’s stay in Rome. The drinks were made to perfection during each visit. We recommended this place to other couples we met during our stay as the service was above all other places.

Overpriced drinks!! Music was so bad and loud also the bar stools were uncomfortable. I wanted to pay with my credit card but the waitress insisted on paying cash, would not recommend

Absolutely brilliant cafe/cocktail bar in a side street just off the Piazza Navona. Excellent spot for watching the “world of Rome” go by day & night. The staff were fabulous, friendly, chatty, attentive, helpful & quick to serve you. The cocktails were fantastic & the music was amazing. The first night we discovered this cafe/bar the music choice had everyone singing along & tourists from around the world were all engaging together as if we’d all known each other for years, just such a good vibe! We loved it & ended up there every night. On our last night, we’d gone for drinks before going for a meal, but having such a great time, we didn’t want to leave… so they sourced us a pizza takeaway delivered to our table so we could stay followed by the most amazing tiramisu, honestly the best customer service ever! We will definitely be back. Until next time Caffe Dell Anima ❤️
