The 20 Best Bars In Mexico City - Mexico City - The Infatuation
"If you attempt to make weekend plans with anyone from Mexico City, Caiman will most certainly be included in the conversation. This is your typical one-size-fits-all bar that’s great for any type of occasion. It’s also one of the few “real bars'' (as in: not a restaurant bar) in Condesa, which is great if you’re just looking to have a few drinks without committing to food. Expect a mix of effortlessly well-dressed locals and tourists with everything from ice-cold coronitas to negronis in their hands." - guillaume guevara
"Head to Caiman in la Condesa to try some of the most avant-garde creations from Mexican wine country. The food menu is designed to complement the cocktail and wine experience, with munchy snacks like french fries with mussels and quail egg, or canned items for no-fuss clientele. The classic cocktails are well-executed, but explore the house pet-nat selection, which comes mostly from Baja California. The vibe is chill but the bar still delivers that Condesa it factor." - Natalia de la Rosa, Daniela Galarza

We came here on our first night in CDMX as it was near where we were staying - it was a Sunday and unseasonably cold so this did impact the vibe as the doors are open as everywhere is in Condesa and we were underdressed and it was quite quiet. However can see how this place could be a total vibe on a different day. The cocktails were yummy but didn’t taste super strong and the food was very cool and interesting and everything we ate was delicious! We had the mussel tostada and the tuna croquettas! Would deffo hit it up again!

This bar feels like a NYC cocktail bar without NYC prices. Lovely staff and amazing drinks. Their espresso martini and espresso tequila are delicious. Gotta try it!

The concept is amazing and the music is too. Staff is stretched thin with the amount of traffic coming in. If you don’t mind waiting 10-15 minutes to order a drink, this place is great. Sure you can heckle the bartenders but they’re already stressed enough. Great drinks though.

We stumbled across this little bar and were immediately intrigued. It was standing room only when we arrived, so that made it feel more like an eclectic house party than a bar, but we were in! We got two classic drinks, a Whiskey Sour and a Dirty Martini. Both were beautifully made and tasted perfect. Highly recommend!

I think I'm too old to be considered a hipster (and I hate the term) but I always end up coming to these kinds of places. Small bar, good lighting, great music, pretty people, a great selection of Mexican pet-nats and overpriced canned snacks

Great little bar in la condesa, even though it’s a bit small, it’s great in personality and uniqueness, highly recommend. Make sure you reserve if you want to sit.

Came for a drink, ordered an aperol spritz, saw the barman make it, and it was mostly water. Then he offered to remake in the exact recipe according to him. Gave me a half full aperol, not mixing at all and pretty much just threw it at me. Photo of drink attached.

This is a very lively bar in Condensa. We ordered the mint mezcal (delicious) and seafood pasta and both were really good.
