I have been traveling here frequently since my local seafood joint closed. Don, the owner of this restaurant, has an upbeat personality and enthusiastic attitude about his food. Before we leave the restaurant, he tells next week's specials. I love this, because it makes me look forward to dining there next week. Kelly, who helps with all of the things (cooking, cleaning, customer service) is a great person, too. I like to talk with her if she doesn't have a lot of orders.
The restaurant has a couple of tables. maybe about eight, and a counter with stools. They don't have servers. They tell you when you when your food is ready. Most people take out from here, but I eat here. I enjoy listening to the music, because Don plays music from New Orleans.
For the regular menu, I enjoy oyster po' boy, tomato soup or big muffaletta sandwich. The sandwich kind of reminds me of a top-rated sub, on sesame bread with olive salad. With a half of an order, I always have leftovers.
Most of the time, I have the specials, particularly the big baked catfish. This past weekend, Don fixed an excellent cream corn special. If they have Oysters Rockefeller, get them.
