"You’re right to be skeptical of a Cajun restaurant on the side of a highway very far from Louisiana, but Cajun Kate’s will prove itself to you. The gumbo has a perfectly browned roux as the base, and the crab cakes are handmade and generously filled. And while the po’boys are enough to serve several people, you’ll definitely want your own. Stick with seafood and savory options here—the muffaletta is dry and the beignets are under-fried. There are two locations, but we recommend the one in Bellefonte." - Maddy Sweitzer-Lammé
