"We aren’t sure what a store with hundreds of hot soppressate hanging from the ceiling is supposed to smell like, but the sweet, musky, cheesy aroma inside this salumi shoppe shocks the system every time. Calabria Pork Store, simply put, is the sh*t, and a sandwich is the best way to sample their goods. Any meat you pull from the sausage chandelier will be your new favorite food, but the store specializes in hot soppressata served on ciabatta or a hero roll with cheese. They also carry culatello, which is pretty hard to find and will turn you into an absolute fiend once you try it. " - neha talreja, molly fitzpatrick
"You aren’t technically dining at Calabria Pork Store, since you take your sandwiches to go, but just entering this Arthur Avenue salumeria is an experience. Hundreds of soppressata hang from the ceiling, with a sweet, musky smell that shocks the system every time. Any meat you pull from the sausage chandelier will be your new favorite food. We tend to go for the store’s specialty, hot soppressata, served on ciabatta or a hero roll. " - bryan kim, neha talreja, hannah albertine, molly fitzpatrick

Calabria is a really special store, and it’s worth a visit for the unexpected aroma alone." - Neha Talreja
"Get all of your soppressata, salami, and sausage needs met at the meat shop on Arthur Avenue. They’re offering curbside pick up right now if you call 718-367-5145 to place an order first." - hannah albertine, nikko duren, matt tervooren
"The unicorns at The Cloisters and the water lilies at the Musée de l’Orangerie are impressive, but they don’t hold a candle to the “sausage chandelier” at Calabria Pork Store. Different types of cured pork cover the entire ceiling of this Arthur Avenue meat shop in the Bronx, and while it looks like an exhibition, you’re allowed to touch (and eat) the art here. The extremely knowledgeable staff can walk you through the differences between guanciale and pancetta, or recommend cheeses to help you fill out a charcuterie board." - hannah albertine, nikko duren
