We moved our mom into one of their complexes, that was owned by a different group. Calamar just recently purchased this complex. Rent went up 15% in Jan. It was a shock to most of these seniors who live on a fixed income! But now came the cut backs on the extra activities that the tenants enjoyed; monthly pancake & waffle breakfasts, weekly Friday doughnuts, monthly pot luck get togethers, Taco Tuesdays, etc.
The turnover has been ridiculous! They’ve gone through at least 2 managers, one activities person and maintenance personnel. They’ve had numerous temporary employees! The most recent manager after a month or so, just left a few days ago!
Finally, I decided to see who owns these properties after the recent purchase. And I’m not surprised by all the bad reviews. Especially, bad reviews from your former employees! No wonder you have so much turnover!
PS your reviews on indeed are worse than on here. Shame on you!
I wouldn’t recommend your complexes to anyone!
