Absolutely loved the food! The momos platter was delicious and full of flavor, and the Manchurian fried rice was perfectly cooked. Everything tasted amazing, and the plating was really beautiful. Definitely worth trying!

We ordered the jhol momo and chicken chowmein from Calgary Momo House. The chowmein was absolutely delicious—perfectly seasoned, with the right balance of veggies and chicken, and cooked just the way we like it. Easily the highlight of the meal! The jhol momo was decent, though it didn’t stand out as much as the chowmein. Still, it added variety to our order and was enjoyable overall. Service was friendly and the food came out fresh and hot. Definitely recommend the chicken chowmein if you’re visiting—one of the best I’ve had in Calgary.

Momo is a new thing for me but my Nepalese amigo showed me the light. What an awesome experience for authentic Nepalese cuisine.I already loved the spices and flavors of many styles of curry but this one hit the spot. A curry soup with tasty little pockets of herbed meat...delish. and this was only the starter. Had goat curry to follow also a hit.

Very good momos. Service was excellent by Kabita. She was very good and smiling which gave us warmth n positiveness . We ordered sizzling momo n steamed momos ,both chicken and both were amazing. I wish the size of momos were a little bigger or a little more in number per plate, may be 9-10 . I would definitely recommend it. In the photo the steam momos are 6 but given were 8, my kids couldn’t wait.

Ordered steamed momos (10 pcs). Told me they would be ready in 25 minutes. Went back after 30 minutes and the order was still not ready. Took them another 15 minutes to get it ready. 40 plus minutes just for 10 pcs of momos seriously?. Food was okay but not worth for 40 minutes. Will never visit again.

This is a cute little restaurant in a strip mall in the NE. We hear MD about this place and had to see what the fuss was about We ordered the Himalayan butter chicken which was the perfect amount of spice and sauce. They could have added a few more pieces of chicken, otherwise it was very delicious. We ordered the chicken jhol momos, again, absolutely delicious. We did have to wait over 20 mins for our food, but the menu states this I would return!

Had a layover in Calgary and had a Airbnb in the area and decided to stop here for a quick bite after landing , since it's walking distance ! I didn't realize how many desis there are in Canada , pretty much every store in the 6 block radius I was staying at was all desi runned . On to the restaurant itself , the service was kind of slow . We had ordered the Momo sampler + their noodle soup dish w/ shrimp and it took about 15 + minutes to come out , and there were only 3 maybe 4 other tables but I don't wanna judge since there might be only one person working behind there . This was my first time having Nepalese food and it made me wanting it when I came back to the states ! The noodle dish it self had good bright flavors , and reminded me on thai tom yum . While the momo trio sampler WAS TO DIE FOR . It was raining while we were there , and the momos was like laying in warm cozy bed eating soup watching a movie ! I loved the perfect crispyness of the outside + their sauces . They DO NOT MISS OUT ON THE HEAT . It was spicy but the perfect amount of spice . Sadly I haven't found a place in sd that serves the same momos as them . If I've ever in Calgary again , this will be my first stop

Absolutely phenomenal food. It's a smaller restaurant in a strip mall but it is BUSY and there's a reason why. The chili momo stole the show. They were flavorful and spiced just right with a hint of sriracha. The spring rolls were delicious. I would pass on the Caesar. It isn't super flavourful but it's okay. Get the curry instead. It was delicious. The restaurant is located a few minutes from the Calgary airport so it's a quick Uber over if you have a layover.

Wow - loved this place! Friendly, helpful service, tasty food (we had momos, curries and thali plates - loved them all). Highly recommend this place. We live in Texas and wished they opened an outlet near us!!!

I'm so glad we decided to eat here before heading to the national park area. Everything was delicious and it was exactly what we needed after our long 6 hour flight. The decor was beautiful, and the service was good too! The chowmein had the perfect balance of tanginess and aalu sadeko's portion was huge! So, the only issue we had was that the sauce for the Jhol momo tasted and smelled old. The momo's however was delicious so we just ate it without the sauce. I also wished they played more Nepali tunes!

#MumusForMomos! That's not a thing, but it may as well be after a scrumptious and filling meal at Calgary Momo House. After all, good food + loose clothes = a more satisfied belly. It's simple math. Calgary Momo House is tucked away in a plaza that is heavily catered toward the Indian community. In my short trip to Calgary, my friend and I ended up going twice despite the drive out because these momos are unforgettable and the service is great to boot. Our favourites were the Steamed Momo - Lamb ($13.90), followed by the Steamed Momo - Chicken ($12.50). You really get the true flavour of the rather generous filling without any sauce to mask it or a fried exterior to change its mouthfeel. We still enjoyed the other styles (Jjol (house soup), Chili (wok fried), Fried, and Tandoori (masala spices)), but simple sometimes is best. On our first visit, we were accidentally served what I believe was the Chicken Thukpa (Nepali noodle soup) ($11.90), which ended up being on the house. It was kind of reminiscent of a Tom Yum Gong. We also tried the Goat Choila (grilled goat with flaked rice) ($14.50) on our second visit. It had an interesting texture with the flaked rice, but the goat was a tad dry for our liking. In short, Calgary Momo House is THE house you want to visit for some incredible momos in Calgary. Now can we get a Vancouver Momo House too?

It was such a delightful experience! It was a regular, small-sized restaurant with probably 10-12 tables, with fresh and modern decor. We ordered Jhol-momo and chicken chowmein from the menu and freshly brewed Chai off the menu (yes, you have to ask for chai separately and be willing to wait 20 minutes for the fresh brew). We also requested a higher-than-max-spice level and were pleasantly surprised with a side of black, chilly oil. Our server shared that it's an in-house sauce, which sure tasted like something I had never tasted before. Amazing food and very warm hospitality! We tried this restaurant on the first evening of our Banff trip, and undoubtedly, it has now set a very high standard for other restaurants to follow! Thank you for such a wonderful evening!

Service was super slow, just be aware of this walking in. The food was delicious, however, which made up for the almost hour long wait to receive our first dish. Any momo dish will be delicious, we also got a dish containing lamb which was fantastic, nice and tender, not too gamey.

This is a wonderful mom and pop business. The owner is from Kathmandu and very lovely about sharing the Nepalese cuisine. It's a relaxing place with calming music and visual aesthetics. The food was very tasty. I'd recommend the Chili Momo - the chili sauce was addicting - and the Chicken Jhol Momo. The chili momo is fried and the johl momo is steamed in a tomato and sesame seed based sauce. I liked the steam momo better, but the chili momo sauce was so yum. Don't forget to order the appetizer - Goat Choila (dry aged goat salad). The texture, crunch and freshness of the ingredients. Chef's kiss! Fun fact- third largest Nepalese community in Canada resides in Calgary!

One of the most enjoyable meals I ever had. Got lucky, it was not crowded from what I read, the food and service were both excellent. We split the spicy Momo as an appetizer, steamed and the veggie role. What a brilliant start. Then we split one of their specialties with goat meat and did not disappoint but enhanced the meal. The only dessert was a sweet rice that ranked better than most sticky rices I have had at Thai restaurants. Will return and will bring family and friends

SO GOOD. Very glad we stopped here on our way out of town. Short drive from the airport so if you have a long layover, you could easily eat here. Located in a strip mall, the place itself is small and pretty unassuming but has nice touches of Himalayan culture. There was one person working out front but service was fast and efficient. We ended up ordering the jhor momos and the tandoori momos followed by the butter chicken. I wish I had gotten the lamb shank - someone at the table next to us got it and it looked amazing. 100% would stop here again

The momo was absolutely fantastic! We ordered one mutton option, one paneer option, one veggie option, and one chicken option. The soup ones were our absolute favorite. The portions were big and one order is large enough to be a meal! The only difficulty that we had was with online ordering. The form only allowed billing addresses in Canada to be entered, and we were traveling from the United States. I was able to call in the order however.

This restaurant is quite small. Momos were delicious, but were very small servings for the price. I've been and wouldn't go out of my way to go back as a result of the value. Service was slow, despite coming at a non-peak meal time.

I'm not normally a huge fan of momos, but the momos at Calgary Momo House won me over!! I loved that they had at least 5-6 different varieties of momos to choose from (e.g., tandoori, steamed, chili, fried, etc.) & you could choose your filling for any of these varieties. I tried the tandoori veggie momo and the fried veggie momo, and both were absolutely delicious! My only regret is I wish I had gotten the tandoori momo with paneer so I could try two different fillings. The presentation of the dishes also stood out here. Most momo places are pretty casual and you go for the food, not the plating. But at CMH, our dishes were presented so beautifully! Only word of caution: The serving sizes here are huge. I personally think 1 plate of momos could be enough for two people. If I recall, it was ~8 momos on the plate and they're quite large.

Absolutely the best Momos I ever had! I had quite a few living in Toronto. There are several restaurants that make momos and when I heard there was a Momo restaurant in Calgary I knew I had to try it. They have 3 different options: chicken, goat and veggie. They had about 5 different kinds of Momo too. I had the Tandoori and the Jhol Momo. Both were excellent! Each order comes in 10 but I did ask to do 2 half orders so I could try more than 1 kind. We also ordered the Mainz dinner which was 3 different curries with rice. Very good. I really wish they were more central. We live very far from this restaurant. If they were more central we would come alot more often. However, this is a restaurant that is worth the trek all the way past the airport!

The momos and naan are delicious !! I believe they cook the food once ordered bc it took a min but we came in after a flight from Houston, Tx (one of the most culturally food diverse cities in the world) and we were thoroughly impressed with the flavors

We had just landed in Calgary, and saw that this place was nearby. We tried every kind of momo, and also the charcoal-grilled goat. (We don't get goat very often, and we love it.) The goat was delicious, not dry at all. When mixed together, the flaked rice & sauced soybeans were also yummy. We loved all the momos! If I had to recommend, I would say get the steamed ones and eat them plain...the filling is so moist & savory that you don't need dipping sauce. That said, we took some fried veggie momos to go, and they were just as good cold, the next morning. We had rice pudding (kheer), which is served warm; and mango cake for dessert. Both quite nice! The mango cake had a unique texture, like thick sweet pancakes with layers of filling. The staff were so nice, and patient with our questions. Highly recommend!

This place was so good! We got it delivered to our hotel by the airport on our last night of vacation. I think we got one of everything! The soup was defiantly a fan favorite. We ordered so much, we took some home on the plane with us when we left. I think the person next to us on the flight was jealous, honestly! If you're staying by the airport, this is the best place!! MMMMMMMM! I want more!

If you love Nepalese Momo's, run to this place right now. The presentation is awesome and their tandoori mutton Momo's are out of this world!!! Their steamed Momo's are equally good & fresh. It's the best Momo place in town.

We made a stop here on our way to Lake Louise from Calgary airport. Could think of no better food on a cold snowy day than hot flavorful momos and steaming thukpa soup. This is a must try for anyone adventurous and game to try the not so well known Nepalese cuisine!

I have been reading about this place for a while, and finally found myself up in the new community of Cityscape, so we checked it out. We had the Chicken Jhol Momo- outstanding, steamed and served in a really delicious sauce. Visually stunning, nice thin wrapper, a delicious bit. Also had the Goat Tandori Momo - less impressive, but very good. We also had some chicken fried rice that was perfectly spicy, long grain rice, lots of chicken. Excellent dish. We went quite early, but it started to fill up around 6:00 on a weekend. Friendly, if a little shy service, nice new room in a nice new neighborhood. We've been back, the steamed momo's are the best .

We were lucky to catch a day when the owner was working the floor- he greeted our table and took the time to get to know us and vice versa. I enjoyed sharing the story of my time in Kathmandu with him, who also shared that he is from the region. Our two types of momos (see pics) and butter chicken were excellent, both in flavor, presentation, and quality, just eat them quick because they can cool off fast! This isn't rushed service or cooking, and you can tell from each hand made momo and dish that CMH aims to deliver great food while making repeat customers at the same time. They are sincere and I think they're gonna do just that.

What a FIND! On our way to the airport and we were blessed to stumble upon this gem. Amazing cuisine and cultural experience. Try/eat everything. Can't wait for round two.

Let me start off with a quote by Lizzo "all the rumors are true" about Calgary Momo House. I found this location searching a list of best places to eat in Calgary. The MoMo is just delicious and has such a unique flavor. The sauces are the right amount of spicy and the food is the right amount of savory. Pictured below you will see the chili Momo, tandoori Momo, and the lamb shank. All were delicious and well worth the very humble price they charge. If you are visiting Calgary, especially from the US, make it a point to come here. This is flavor like you e never had. I make that statement having traveled many places all over the world. I don't often find unique flavors like I found here.

We had never heard of Momos and wanted to try something different while in Calgary. The restaurant was clean and not noisy, the staff were helpful and friendly and the two types of momos were delicious. Initially we thought we should have ordered a main dish as well but were quite full with just the momos. Would love to return and try other dishes.

Well, we liked it so much that we went twice in a week during our visit to Canada. The Momos are delicious, of course. The fried rice and butter chicken were also delicious, though! Be forewarned that the butter chicken does take a while to cook, though. Our favorite approach was just to share everything as it came out of the kitchen. Delicious, delicious, delicious!!

Absolutely incredible meal for such a reasonable price. Such unique and vibrant flavors, each dish was cooked to perfection. Definitely a casual spot where food is the focus over decor, but service was excellent. I'd highly recommend trying this amazing restaurant with such interesting offerings!!

Never have I ever walked out of a restaurant due to terrible service. We were excited to try the food but never got to. We were seated, not given utensils or menus. Not given water. The hostess would rather be answering the phone. Two tables around us were not cleaned up for ten minutes. There was one table waiting for food and one finishing up. There is no excuse. It was abysmal service. Another table, clearly annoyed, went up to the hostess and hunted her down to pay. They clearly do not have their act together. How does this place have 5 star reviews?! The service is NOT acceptable. After not being acknowledged by anyone for 10 minutes, we walked out.

This was our first time to have Momo and it was absolutely amazing! We got two momo dishes and the chicken soup and all three were delicious. On top of the great food, the service was just as good. The owner waited on our table and she was funny, complimentary and very prompt. We will return here the next time we're in Calgary!

We went to Calgary Momo House with some friends. We ordered multiple items and ate family style. Everything that came out was amazing and the service was great. Everyone that was working took time to check on us and to see how we liked the food. We will definitely be back next time we are in Calgary.

Love this place!! If you're staying at an airport hotel, this is the best food in the area!! Great options for vegans and vegetarians. I have a cilantro allergy and didn't inform the server-- the owner was so kind when I informed her (too late). Bread is soft and incredible. Great for dine in or takeout!

What an amazing burst of flavors! We stopped here on our flight into Calgary, on our way to Banff. I never had momos before and decided to give this place a try. I am so so glad we stopped here! We got the deep fried one and a steamed one. One is like xiao long bao, but deep fried and pan fried. The other is like xiao long bao in a delicious sauce that I've never tasted before.

I got yelp just to write this review because Momo House is absolutely incredible. It is 30+ minutes away from my house and it is worth the drive every single time. It is some of the best food I've ever had and arguably one of the best restaurants in the entire city in terms of value. The food is insanely good, the momos are seasoned by the gods and they all have their own dinstinct flavours so you have tons of options, none of which will let you down. The tandoori and chili momos are my current obsessions and I also had the best mojito of my life last time I was there. Obviously the food itself is phenomenal, but the place is especially magical when you consider the portions, price, presentation and lovely staff. If I'm having the best day ever and want to make it better or the worst day and want all my problems to go away, this is where I go. It is the best comfort food and I leave full of JOY every single time. 10/10

Wow! It felt purely joyful and nostalgic as a Nepali person to have such amazing cuisine outside Nepal. The services are affordable and enjoyable at best! I am surely gonna visit there more often!!

Absolutely delicious momos! We ordered an assortment and my favorite was the jhol momo (with soup) while my husband really enjoyed the tandoori version. We also had their fried fish appetizer and it was so crispy, light and well cooked with the most vibrant, flavorful dip. Service was prompt and friendly. An excellent find in an unassuming strip mall filled with other small ethnic storefronts. Would highly recommend!

We couldn't have made a better choice for dinner tonight. We stumbled upon this Nepalese eatery and loved our dining experience. We ordered the Tandoori momo, Sukuti Sandheko, chicken chowmein and goat meat Thali. Everything tasted amazing and freshly cooked. You can tell it's a popular place because there was constant visits by patrons. Service is friendly and warm. We're flying out of Calgary soon and wish we had something similar in my city. Don't miss this place if you're in Calgary.

Unassuming front in a strip mall near the airport hides a GLORIOUS and delicious spot. Well-earned as a top spot on Eater! So glad we stopped by. Yum yum yum. The chili momo is not to be missed.

So delicious and so well priced. A great place to go for a different dining experience. All of the momos are amazing so don't be afraid to try anything. My only issue is that it does take a while for the food to be prepared but I've noticed some people ordering before they arrive so that the food is ready when they come in, so if you're really hungry I would recommend trying to call and order in advance.

The best momos in the city! I also got their special lamb and noodles which were amazing. This has taken southeast Asian food to a next level. Butter chicken is old news, try this instead.

My friends and I absolutely loved this restaurant. We had a layover in Calgary for a while, so we looked for a restaurant close to the airport. We are so glad we found this one; this was some of the best food we've had on our entire trip. It's great to both share dishes or eat alone. Food was incredible, service was great, and prices weren't too bad. Yum
