This is definitely one of the best places to grab some great tasting chicken and not end up in a food coma afterward. Regardless of what you order, it's always delicious and hot 🔥. I do miss not being able to sit and eat at the location, but it is what it is. The important thing is that their food is always deliciously prepared and the service is always provided with a smile. Eat here, and you will not be disappointed. I will always be a fan of this great eatery. 👍

To skip the traffic on the 405 north, I had the “audacity” to stop by my favorite wrappers food in LA, and to chill out until the traffic dies….but since Covid they don’t allow in or outside service only pick up….!!!!!! Sadly, the ownership cut on staff, but the Cesar dressing???, my wrap tasted blah, what a shame Oh well, I’ll eat my food in their parking lot I guess, $10.50 got me a never coming back deal

Check your orders! This location is notorious for handing off the wrong orders. Just today 3/6 I was handed a big $100+ order when all I ordered was a small salad. Took it back to the staff and requested what I paid for. Waited for over 10 min for them to prep my food which was suppose to already be ready for pick up. Left without a problem. 10 min later I get a call not from the restaurant but from the customer accusing me of taking their food. Why staff would hand anyone my number is beyond me. Not acceptable at all. Definitely will be filing a formal complaint against this location. Like I said CHECK YOUR ORDERS BEFORE YOU LEAVE!

I have mixed feelings about this place. For one thing the food is awesome. Great place for take out. My wife also absolutely is obsessed with their Chinese chicken salad. On the other hand, why is it only drive thru. I once had to sit in my car and eat a wrap which was extremely messy. Their establishment was literally meant for indoor setting. Must be some kind of profitability reasons in the expense of customer comfort.

Wow what happened to this location? I’ve been parked in front for over 10 minutes and nobody has approached me. There are two workers outside joking around and a bunch of people inside doing seemingly nothing. Update: I ended up leaving my car to get my food and found out it is missing items. Second time in a row that they missed items in my order.

I have been a customer to CCC for years now, I absolutely love this franchise. Their ingredients are so fresh, I have literally ordered wraps several days in a row and each one has been absolutely delicious, never once a drop in quality. They always make me feel so special with each order, I have referred friends to them and they too have fallen in love with their wraps. There is just nothing bad I can say about this company after years of being a customer. A+++ keep up the excellent work! CCC should teach other businesses how to operate and serve customers effectively, because they are truly top tier in customer service and food quality!

There’s something divine about this brand. Great wraps and great value. HOWEVER utensils cost extra. Pita was a good value, only $0.15 for extra, and sauces are free. The wrap itself felt like a gift from God. Excellently mixed together with all the right vegetables, it was a beauty to behold.

Angel was great :) The wings were delicious and my kids loved the broccoli pasta and the wrap. Angel suggested the soda and we loved it as well!! Overall, Angel was great and we all loved the food!

I have been coming to this location for years. The food is really fresh affordable especially if you order a vegetarian meal. We had an issue with the new online ordering. We thought we placed an order but when we arrived at the location it wasn't in their system. We were so lucky to be helped by Ramon who really fast placed the order and our food was ready in four minutes. we really appreciate it to have someone like Ramon help us. he was helpful, and you could see that he had control of the overwhelming amount of customers that arrive at this location during lunch. Thank you so much for hiring people like Ramon.

I kinda got lost bc I never ever been to this location ever, I always go to the northridge location bc it's the closest to my pad. I drove up, and this guy took my order my order came out within less than X10 mins max he told me. It was super quick and easy, just in and out!!!!! I got it to go, once I got home it was still hot and fresh. I ate all of it. The green salsa they make it super addicting asf. Loves it~

There are lots of pluses here, but a couple of key misses here, too. I ordered the one breast and wing dish with small potatoes (red), onions, and sweet potatoes. I picked the sweet chili sauce and ranch and chose juicy for the chicken. Its arrival (from delivery) was nicely wrapped with a clip that requires scissors or teeth from JAWS in the James Bond movies. Since I have neither being at a hotel, I just tore into it. One of the biggest stunners, ok not really, was the lack of something called utensils. Now, since CC puts this together, I would think adding a plastic fork or spork and knife would make sense. Ditto on something called napkins. Since they did neither, I had to go Caveman style and use my hands to eat the potatoes side dish, which trust me, ranks on the fun list right above getting punched in the face. Probably with a spork. The potatoes, onions, and mini side dish were the right size, but the ratios were whacked. I saw, granted I was using my fingers for search exploration, only two shreads of sweet potato or whatever orange thing was there..I'm going SP. Onions reigned Supreme here, which I demurred from eating. There are definitely more onions than red potatoes, which should be the opposite. The chicken was juicy, the wings inedible. Not that I'm a wing muncher when it comes to this combo angle, but in hindsight, maybe they could have cut into the plastic tie, assuming they could become a Swiss army wing knife thing. Or a spork, wing size. The sauces were fine. They gave you two for free. Sadly, though, you couldn't use either for utensils. Or a napkin. In follow up to the restaurant's response: 1. I mean napkins? You can't add those? That is not listed in the city ordinance 2. I do not recall seeing the utensils option with the delivery app I used. Regardless, assuming people will see it (if it I'd visible to all, clearly) is a poor decision on your part. How about the default to get utensils is on, and thus if someone doesn't see it, no worries.

1 star for Chris who worked on the evening for of 5/30. I've been a loyal customer for several years both here and at the Woodland Hills, CA location. The food is solid, there is no doubt about that, UNLESS Encino can get your orders correct. PLEASE CHECK YOUR ORDER before you leave. THEY ALWAYS make mistakes or omit things from your order. I get it, mistakes happen, but last time, I ordered double chicken, they forgot that. They forgot the croutons on my green goddess, the avocado another time. I let a few slide, as we're human and we make mistakes...... The ladies and gentlemen who work in the afternoon, all great. Today was not busy when I did my evening pick up. I was told by Chris to move up to wait for my food. No one checked up on me nor did anyone get my name. Chris didn't even get my name. He checked on and gave orders behind me. At least three cars. It wasn't until I got out of my car, and asked him to give me my order which I could visibly see.

CA Chicken Salad was tasty as always ! Parking was organized and easy on this visit for their curbside pickup . My modifications and additions were followed to perfection and my order was ready just about on time - nice !

My official go to spot when in the area! Consistently amazing, delicious and affordable. They have the best Chinese Chicken Salad!!! It's filling and I always have leftovers. As far as next day salad which usually is blah, this one holds its own. I loke that they are take out only still because online ordering is easy, food is always ready upon arrival, and the drive up system is flawless. Every so often, they will add a little extra to my order. Going above and beyond to satisfy customers is much appreciated. You can walk up and order as well. There is a nice size parking lot in back.

Shoutout to Tim, the customer service legend! My mom turned into a drama queen over some dark meat chicken (who even likes white meat anyway?). But Tim? This guy waltzed in with solutions like a customer service samurai. Positive vibes all around thanks to Tim! You're the real MVP!

Used to love this place, went with the fam once a week before Covid. Absolutely hate their new business model of carry out only. The website is not user friendly to order and it sucks not being able to eat inside anymore. All that space wasted.

My boyfriend and I visit this location frequently. Our food is always fresh and tastes delicious every time. Shout out to Tim for his wonderful hospitality. He made our most recent trip special by giving us 2 free cookies! Thanks Tim

Have only gotten take out from here, and really love it. Their veggie wrap with the sesame dressing is filling (it has rice in it), and we have an obsession with the broccoli pasta. Also love their take out process - you order, and they bring it out to you at the curb. They seem busy all the time, so there's always someone there taking your names and bringing out your order.

Thank you to Tim and his CCC staff for getting our catering order out so fast. When placed online it said it was be ready by 2:30pm but we needed it by noon. In 20 mins max it was out and I was able to get to the office just in time for lunch for the staff. Thank you guys so much. Great service!

A swing and a miss. A friend recommended we stop in for lunch. I'd never had this place before and was excited to try something new. Walked into the back door and was immediately ushered out of the restaurant onto the sidewalk. Apparently customers aren't allowed inside. There were people milling around in front waiting for their food or waiting to order, I'm not sure. Someone from the restaurant came up and I told them I just wanted to order food. Apparently you're not allowed to do that inside. I was handed a card with a QR code on it. That's great but my cell phone was in the charger in my car. Apparently you order your food outside and then stand on the sidewalk and they hand it to you. I thought it was some sort of TV show and I was being punked. Apparently not. I guess they do business like this. Decided to go to a real restaurant and get food there. And we are glad we did.

Yum yum. I love the Chinese wrap and salads. They are so delicious. Th service is amazing and the staff so friendly.

Ordered on Uber eats late night, right before they closed. Chinese chicken salad and Cesar Wrap with 2 can drinks. Amazing, fresh food and the servers seemed so nice! They wrote us a little note on our receipt. Will definitely be ordering again and stopping by

I've been a regular at Calif Chicken Cafe since the 1990's. For some reason, I stopped going there around the late 2000's. I decided to come to the Encino location today to dine in. I discovered that Calif Chicken Cafe no longer offers dine in at all of their locations. The food is still good, just inconvenient to take home. I'd give them 5 stars if they allowed dine in again.

Call me crazy but I think this place is overrated AF. the food is fine but I do not understand the line down the block or the prices!

I must have walked or driven by CA Chicken Cafe a 1,000 times. I always saw cars lined up and my assumption was that this is a great business, a gold mine and must have great food and great service. So walking to my gym, I decided to go after my workout . On my way back I decided to go in and look at the menu and take a chance. How could you go wrong with chicken? I was sure I could find something to take home and surprise the family. I finished the pumping iron ( I can curl mighty 15 pounds in each hand) and heading back I walked through the door of FORBIDDEN. As I was about to enter while being followed by a young couple a laptop wielding woman while screaming "Do you want to order" approached us. The young couple practically had a heart attack while in disbelief I kept my cool. I responded, yes young lady, I would like to place an order please. She replied, I will take your order here at curb. Smiling, as the effects of my shock was wearing down, I said but I don't know what you have. She replied, go online and look at the menu. What the heck has happened to respect, service and human interaction? She expected me to read the entire menu and to place an order under the 80 degree sun that felt like 100 degrees. Really??? They may do a ton of business, but they won't have mine and people like me. What do they do within those walls that no one can see? That is a question for people who eat there. Well as far as I am concerned, they can take their menus, their success, their system, their chickens raw and cooked and their laptops and ........... keep it for themselves. I wasn't going to say what you are thinking, lol

On Saturdays I always have to rush from school to work and barely have time to eat in between. That is where the CCC app comes in handy, I place the order through the app as I'm walking out of class and then I drive right to the CCC Encino location where all you have to do is drive right up and they hand you your order. The other day Julian's friendly face greeted me, our exchange was brief and polite and I got my order within two minutes. It was all a hungry working student could ask for!!

Would be real helpful if you highlighted on YELP that this is a PICK-UP/TAKEOUT ONLY location. Love the food but was hoping to sit and enjoy it

Was super excited to try this place especially since I'm on the go with my friends and needed to scoop up some food. The girl who brought out the food was incredibly rude. We had 4 people in the car and ordered 3 wraps and a salad. I asked nicely for a fork to eat the salad with and napkins for everyone. She came back with just the fork and it had 1 single napkin in the fork wrap. I had asked again for more napkins since there's 4 of us and she responded "you need more? I just gave you one" I said yes please there's 4 people and you gave me one napkin. She continued to say there was a napkin with the fork. At this point we needed to leave because she took forever to walk over. I said Nevermind I'll figure it out and she had an attitude. Some advice for a to go ONLY place, please provide stuff for Togo... like napkins and forks for the salads. Good thing I didn't drive off or else the salad would've been a waste. OH opening the wrap in the car the ranch was completely open and spilled everywhere. Even tho this service was awful, the food was great.

a staple meal for my family and me. we come here at least once a week. healthy, clean, efficient, and great staff. they recently forgot an item in one of my orders and my boy Tim was super apologetic and gracious. they called me almost immediately, before i even knew something was missing. and they made it right! all in all, a great store

Just shut this location down already. This is bs. The pandemic is over and you still want patrons to stand outside in the cold winter night while we gaze into your massive empty warm commercial space. If you're going to just be a kitchen for DoorDash personnel to pick up orders, get off Ventura Blvd and find another location where delivery guys can fill up the parking lot while they sit in their cars waiting for an order to come in. Members of the community want to get back to life. This is nonsense. Ventura Blvd is for restaurants and shops who welcome customers inside. Not to mention the traffic you cause on the Blvd and the entire lane you close off. Just get out of here.

Been craving this chicken salad with macaroni for at least a month now, and didn't know this location was pick up only but the friendly worker Julian working the front desk was so kind and made it very easy to order upfront!

I always order here the Chinese chicken rap with dark meat and it is so GOOD! My second favorite item is the chicken pasta its delicious. The ambiance is casual but unfortunately it's only take away now. The service is phenomenal but Ramon really stood out with his excellent service and kindness. He recommended some sauces I was unaware of and helpful with recommending items for my girlfriend.

I messaged them, and it sounds like they don't plan on ever re-opening their dine-in service. Too bad! I loved this place and almost never get food here anymore because of that. That said their Chinese chicken wrap is great. I hope they open dine in again. If so, I'll def come back. Until then, I will be on the hunt for a new lunch and casual dinner spot!

I personally prefer the curbside feature although I feel for all of those who prefer eating inside this place. My gripe is about having to pay an additional $3.00 for hot chicken in my wrap. WTH?? Why is hot chicken not the standard? It's literally a rotisserie chicken spot! Can't be that inconvenient to serve warm food! They love to nickel and dime & honestly a lil out of control for a place that is not what it once was. 1 star for convenience 1 star for the mash potatoes 1 star for old times sake, but honestly do better ccc!

You cannot find a better salad in L.A. for $15. The California Chicken Salad is packed with everything you need. I usually make two meals out of it. I get this salad once a week. Unlike places like Joan's on Third, you can make changes to the meal you are paying for. 5 stars for that alone! I get the salad once a week, and recently had an issue with my order. I called and spoke with Tim the manager there and let him know what had happened. He was apologetic and offered me another salad for free the next time I ordered. I've tried tons of salads in the greater L.A. area- theirs are the best, AND their customer service can't be beat. The people that work there are always pleasant upon pickup, and Tim was so kind. CCC wants to keep their customers. They're the best!!

This place is my go to anytime I'm in town visiting my GF. She has been getting wraps and pasta salads from them and now I'm coming here. Their chicken wraps and potatoes and pasta salad are killer!!. It's quick and easy to get your food. Dont even have to get out the car for it, they walk up. It's easy and good service there. They're always busy inside and ready to go.

We ordered delivery in Sherman Oaks. They missed terribly in filling the order. The Chinese chicken salad had noodles, shredded carrots and lettuce. THAT'S ALL. They also sent a full salad in a smaller container, more like a side salad, than the full salad we ordered. The Chinese salad dressing is terrible. They also only sent one cookie, when we ordered TWO. There was an extremely disappointed child.

Love this restaurant! It's so easy and quick to order from. The food is so healthy and fresh and it always makes me feel good. Plus you get so much bang for your buck. The salads are huge!

I've been ordering roast chicken from here for the past year or so. In the beginning, I loved it. It always arrived juicy and tender. The last number of times that I've ordered it it's arrived dried out and overcooked, even though I requested juicy, which is an option on the order. I don't know what's going on there but something has changed. I had another dried out over cooked chicken tonight. Very disappointing.

Great food. I always get the Chicken Ranch wrap and it's always perfect. The main reason for the review is I stopped in tonight to grab a quick wrap to go and Angel helped. It was the friendliest and most helpful experience I've had in a long while. Great job Angel!

Wow, I'm not sure what has happened with the restaurant, well ex-restaurant, now take-out only place. The quality of everything, the size of everything, the choices available have gone so far downhill that I will never spend my money with them again. And I'm not sure how they expect older people to deal with them because they have made it so that you can only get on your phone or drive up and take a photo of the QR code and place your own order. It is pitiful what has happened here.

Waste of my time, was in area and not even that busy that they couldn't even get my order correct, how do you have 20 people on staff and have a set to car and specific order and still mess up.

The Chinese chicken salad has my heart. Pro tip: add the hot rotisserie chicken to level it up! The drive up situation at the Encino restaurant has been flawless this whole pandemic. Food is always ready on time and the employees are always on top of it. They have really streamlined it so the line moves fast! Ingredients are always fresh and the salad is HUGE. I never have any complaints about the food here. I also love the steamed squash and the broccoli soup is not my jam..tasted a little like hot broccoli water. Womp womp. I am a little bummed the 411 salad is gone and now they charge for pita! It always used to come with your salad. Regardless, I will keep coming back for my Chinese chicken salad because I can't find anything like it elsewhere!
