I wanted Asian in the Fremont area, and since I haven't been to California Noodle, we decided to dine here. Service was good and the workers were all friendly. Food: Oxtail Stew OG Poke Nachos I noticed looking at photos that the rice that comes with the stew had furikaki. Whew! I like plain rice with my stews so I ordered it plain. The stew was ok. The Oxtail was definitely tender. It came with 3 bones and the stew was ok. Something was missing. The Poke Nachos were huge!!! Good portion of Poke and won ton chips. And the drizzled sauce was equally as delicious. I enjoyed every bite, and I would come back just for this. Overall, the menu selection looks delicious, and I want to try more.

Grilled Kalbi and crispy fried pork chops were ono (delicious)! Kalbi meat was tender and the Kalbi seasoning was perfect. The crispy fried pork chops was tender with a crunchy coating. It also came with a ponzu-like dipping sauce which made the pork chops even better. The rice was too hard, kind of like fried rice style. Kim Chee was good. The restaurant is in the California hotel and the service was excellent. All the staff there were really nice and so courteous. If you’re in Vegas you should try this place.

I have crave for saimin. It’s my first time to have fried saimin; I asked for side of broth. My friend ordered galbi. Both are so good. Staff are friendly too.

Google
Excellent food. The 4.1 rating definitely isn't accurate. This place should be at least 4.6. It's not a fancy place, but it's clean, great service, super friendly staff, excellent food, and the price is incredibly reasonable. Huge portions. I could only finish half of my plate. Seems most of the negative reviews are from people expecting a food establishment to be something other than what it's meant to be, which is a place to eat food.

Google
This place reminds me of the little shop in Hawaii where I had a wonderful dish of Ramen noodles. Perfectly done. And big. Couldn’t finish it all.

We tried the Oxtail Tail Fried Saimin, Grilled Kalbi, Poke Nachos, Salad. Oxtail Fried Saimin was delicious and a nice size portion. Poke Nachos was perfectly seasoned with great flavor. Grilled Kalbi was tender, juicy again with great flavor. Service was excellent and everyone is so nice.

Google
We want to try this restaurant because of the reviews but turn out alright. Fried wonton is good. The noodles broth is tasty but the chicken is hard and chewy. Overall is ok.

Google
Good enough for a meal only if you are very drunk or super tired would not suggest this place if you are looking for a meal to remember or a date or anything special. Limited menu, should be a last resort option. Staff are nice enough and place is quieter if that's something you are thinking of doing.

Yelp
DELICIOUS!!! The food was excellent, the service was very friendly, and ambiance was great. We went here because we wanted to get our parking validated. To our surprise, the food was OUTSTANDING! I had the Poke Nachos. I have never had raw fish before. When I ordered the Poke Nachos, I wasn't expecting raw fish to be included because it doesn't mention it in the description but I guess that what Poke is....nevertheless it was really good. I love seaweed salad and also did not expect it to be included on the Nachos. The Poke Nachos were the big hit on the table. My son got the shrimp fried rice, which was good but not a lot of shrimp. My hubby ordered the oxtail fried rice. He really enjoyed it. Well, we got our validation but still had to pay for parking...not sure what happened there. At least we had some good food. We'll be back again in the future.

Yelp
Everything we ordered was delicious. I do miss the larger menu they had pre-pandemic. I definitely suggest sharing dishes and eating family style. Definitely bring back chicken lettuce wraps! Service was excellent and very attentive. My water cup never went below halfway. Restaurant was clean. Aesthetically pleasing. Has a very modern Asian decor.

Yelp
I've passed by this restaurant so many times and never thought of giving it a chance as I wanted the oxtail soup instead at the Cal. My cousin was visiting and wanted to eat here. For the portions of each item you order is literally like a family size portion to share for your table. I ordered the Kalbi and it had 4-5 pcs. We tried the poke nachos, won ton and char siu for appetizers, all was good. I took a bite of the oxtail stew from my cousin and the meat falls off the bone and it was good. Service was great! This place is so underrated as everyone wants to try next door. If you don't want to wait and just eat, this will be your go to place if you're ever at the Cal or nearby.

Yelp
After all the trips we've made to Vegas, we finally got to enjoy a bowl of oxtail stew at the California Noodle House in The Cal Hotel--and it did not disappoint! It's almost as good as my dad used to make, which is saying a lot. Unlike the Market Café, where oxtail stew is only available late nights, California Noodle House serves it up anytime. Definitely worth the stop for a taste of home! Service from the front door and table side was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The restaurant was tastefully decorated in an Asian theme. Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
A new experience in the right hotel. When the Hawaiian locals visit The Cal Hotel. They will notice a new noodle restaurant in the casino. When ordering the ox tail stew, come hungry. It's a big bowl of stew. But only one scoop of rice. I guess you could asked for more. The bowls of noodles with the amazing broth. The broth is so flavorful and rich. I had the da cal combo, it had enoki mushrooms, soft boill egg, wun tuns, noodles. The char siu was flavorful as well. With a slight remodeling from the previous restaurant. It's was a updated look with booths and tables sitting. Pros: Was there in December and hot soup hits the spot with out going too far. The soup and noodles is a up grade from the saimin in the hotel Cafe. Lots of goodies in the Ramen. You can use your aloha coupons...4 meals and the coupons reduced our bill by $30. Con: My stew only came with one scoop of rice but you could probably asked for more. Would I go back? Yes, If the dishes we have tasted great, would like to try the other items

Yelp
Having closed during covid, this is our first venture into this restaurant. When they shuttered for so many years, they should have chained the chef, that made those awesome asian bbq ribs, to the door. Too bad the ribs are gone. K on to the food. We ordered a Tonkotsu Ramen and a Kalbi plate. The Ramen was tasty. But at first glance it didn't look complete... While they included half a boiled egg, it was at the bottom of the bowl instead of inviting you to say hi while floating above the noodles. Additionally, there was a strange lack of green on the surface. Not that I'd expect some extra greens with Tonkotsu, but you usually at least see all of the greens onions in a bunch to the side. Not scattered all over. I mean Japanese food means presentation, no? What was presented looked like a homemade product. AND, no gyoza on the menu. A sin. Getting back to the dish, it tasted ok. Not a very great example of a Tonkotsu broth, but for a casino offering, ok. Now, the noodles. As a previous poster said, these are not ramen noodles, there is a difference. Totally agree. It was obviously the same noodles as the regular saimin at the Market St. Cafe. No kansui, not yellow or bite at all. With Sun Noodles supplying pasta all over the nation, there is no reason to not have actual ramen noodles in ramen. Kalbi. Every yobo family has their own take on kalbi. That being said, this offering was delicious in it's own way, but not something I'd make. The end product was so drenched in gravy that it was a paper napkin makers dream. I think for most local folks who order this, it will be a winnah. Very sweet, wet and slightly too salty. Which leads to another question... where's the mac salad to cut all of that? LOL, not even offered. The portion was huge... I mean gigantic. 4 slabs of LA Kalbi, nice. check out the aftermath in the pics. Sure put us down for not stripping all of the meat off of the bones, but it was really a lot of meat. Overall the meal was good. A fun change from eating in the Market St. cattle call. I forget what the food coupons cover, but there are a few things covered. They should print menus with the palm tree on them... other then that, you get something like $2.75 off of regular prices. Oh BTW, the service, from phoning in, to being seated, to watering, taking orders and service, the people in here were really good. Pretty sure we had Antonio... excellent. Aloha, good luck. Quit when you hit something decent...

Yelp
Wanted some noodles and so what better option then to come to the California noodle house located in California hotel in downtown Fremont street, or so I thought. Ordered the Tonkotsu ramen and was the most bland ramen I've ever had, I was really disappointed that it tasted more like saimin and also looked like saimin granted I did get it without the chasu and mushrooms. We also got the oxtail stew and my family said it was decent. Our server Pedro was very attentive and great, went above and beyond and the hostess was the sweetest and very helpful as well.

Yelp
This rating is just based off our service, which is unfortunate because the food...was not bad. And comparable to food back on O'ahu. We got poke nachos, edamame 2 won ton mein and 2 "da cal combo". Da cal combo was good size with so much food, I couldn't wait to make the review about how good it was. But then, unfortunately it went downhill. Our server was Pedro and he checked on us once . We watched him continuously check on all of his tables, and he didn't bother to check on us. We actually got tired of waiting and my husband went to get the hostess to let Pedro know we needed water and also requested for our check. I heard her call him and ask for our check to which he acknowledged. He checked on 2 other tables before finally making his way to the cash register. While at the register, he stopped turned around and asked the table behind him if they were doing ok. One of them asked for another beer to which he promptly ran to grab for them, again putting another guest before us even tho we had requested for our check and had been waiting. My husband finally got up and asked him for our check. It's unfortunate because we love the vibe at the Cal and the food. But that was not what we expected, and not to the standard which we had come to expect from the Cal. Probably would not visit this eatary again as it left a bad taste in our mouth due to the service. Being from Hawaii, we, a long with a numerous friends and family are frequent visitors to Las Vegas. California Noodle House is definitely going on the don't even bother list.

Yelp
Went again a couple of nights ago. The food was ok but some things need improvement. I ordered crispy won tons, and they were actually deep fried mini siu mai's; they were over fried and very hard and lacking in taste. I ordered kalbi for my entree, and while the kalbi was very good and so was the Kim chee (I like fresh, crispy kim chee instead of fermented/sour kim chee), there was no namool to go with the meal. In fact there is absolutely no vegetable dish on the menu - go figure. I was also told there will be a new menu in July - let's hope so and I will try again.

Yelp
This place claims to have "ramen," but don't be fooled! We went in to have the shoyu chicken ramen, only to find that the noodles are not ramen noodles, but saimin (there is a difference)! The service is a bit slow due to being understaffed. The ambience is sterile, the experience was not friendly. I wish I had another night to try their tonkatsu ramen. The meat in my ramen is not like the shoyu chicken found in Hawaii, and it was dry even in the broth. I left very disappointed.

Yelp
I will never eat here again. Tonkotsu ramen wasn't even tonkotsu ramen. Noodles looked like thick chow mein noodles (the same type of noodles was used for fried saimin) and broth tasted awful. What made it worse, food poisoning.

Yelp
Another hit or miss restaurant unfortunately. The service was slow because they said they weren't staffed properly because usually it's slow. However, our server was very nice and did his best with what he could do. Overall it's a nice place but the food was yet to be desired upon. EXCEPT the pork chops and the Poke Nachos! The pork chops and poke nachos were very good. The fam and I thought those two things were very good. Our Spicy Garlic Chicken was over cooked and super dry (as you can see). The restaurant was kinda nice though and well decorated. But as always, try it out for yourself so you can make your own decisions :)

Yelp
Well maintained and clean. We got there when they opened and was seated right away. The staff was pleasant and efficient. We ordered the Poke Nachos, Fried Noodles and Kalbi plate. The Nachos was a big portion! House made chips with the Poke. At first site we thought, there was no way we could finish it...but we did! Delicious! The fried noodle dish was heaping, huge with plenty of garnish. The noodles were a bit too sticky. I couldn't put a dent in it, took the rest take out. The Kalbi plate came with rice and Kimchi and rice. The Kalbi was tasty and tender. Delicious as well! This spur of the moment decision was well worth it. The restaurant decor was well thought out and interesting.

Yelp
I always wanted to try California Noodle House when we visited Vegas & we finally did. I would rate this place a 8/10. Service was definitely a 10/10, the two ladies that took our order & of our table definitely were so sweet & helpful. The only thing is that the menu is pretty small & when we ordered the poke nachos there were mostly just chips (we got like 10 tiny pieces of fish) but it was still delicious. The shoyu chicken ramen is also pretty good!

Yelp
Overall it was ok. The pork cops can't carry themselves. They needed more than soy sauce to pair with them. The wonton min was really good. The dakal combo was also really good. The service was ok, but we did have to wait to get our bill and boxes. The restaurant was not busy at all, and there were two servers. We'll come back when we're here and craving this cuisine.

Yelp
Had the Edamame for appetizer. It was really good and hot. Not a fan of cold edamame. Hubby had their Won Ton Mein and I had the Fried Saimin Noodles. They really give a lot of food. Both our meals were delicious

Yelp
Located in the California casino and super easy to find. The service was fast and friendly and the place was very chill. We both got the oxtail noodle special and it was absolutely delicious. 10/10

Yelp
I'll give them because they've improved tremendously from the first time we visited them in May. Food was tasty not overly seasoned. Nice size portions for family style. Our waiter was very nice especially because he remembered us from only 1 previous visit. I do wish there were photos of the food so that I knew what to order because I like to see what it is before ordering it. The only thing I didn't care for was the Kim Chee which tasted like the Costco one which was well fermented, some like it like that I prefer mines fresh, crunchy and spicy.
