New Mexican in Tribeca! Loved the indoor and outdoor seating / patio The empanadas and churros are out of this world! The pork tacos were yummy and the guac had a nice kick to it.

First time here and I got the camarones (shrimp tacos) and guacamole For a high end Mexican restaurant I’m highly disappointed the guacamole has no flavor and they tried to mix Asian fusion into guacamole. It’s honestly so horrible. The corn tostada was extremely stale and again no flavor not even salt. The shrimp had a weird texture to it. I definitely won’t be back. I wouldn’t mind paying $17 for guacamole if it actually tasted good.

You don't want to miss this amazing Mexican restaurant in Tribeca. I fell in love with the Pescado tacos with mango pico and habanero mayo, the esquite tostada, the quesadilla, and the pulpo. The staff is amazing (We loved Lorrein!) and the bar is incredible. The bartender Javier made us insane cocktails!!!

Delicious ice cream & hot cocoa at Caliza Next Door (collab with la newyorkina). Great addition to the neighborhood.

Great place for drinks outside. Server was great and recommended some awesome drinks.

I’m absolutely thrilled by this addition to the neighborhood. The restaurant is great and very accommodating to kids, but the coffee shop is even better. You can get a great coffee, a healthy and delicious bowl, and a homemade popsicle to go. The staff is friendly and the food is quick. There is even a ramp to roll your stroller into the coffee shop!

Great new Mexican place that just opened a few months ago, finally came here on a date night with the girlfriend. Would almost call it Mexican tapas, as the menu is designed for dishes to be shared. It’s definitely upscale, more of a date spot than “cheap tacos and margs” kind of Mexican. The food was delicious and inventive, and cocktails were top notch. Also liked that the sangria was drier and not super sweet. Will definitely be back!

We had a work event. The drinks were not the best, not horrible, just not great. The food was okay. They were very slow in their service. I especially did not enjoy when I asked if last call already happened, and then one of the mployees got someone else to come over and tell me that I am free to order a drink at the bar. That was not my question, as my company paid for drinks and food until a certain time. Just not my favorite experience for the price we paid.

Yelp
Kenny and Lorraine (Caliza's managers) are the best! I hosted a social networking event at Caliza and it was an absolute success. The manager were friendly, communicative and very welcoming of my group before and during the event. The ambiance was vibrant and engaging with Latin music in the background. In terms of the food, I had guacamole was delicious and the melon agua fresca súper refreshing. I'll be back.

Yelp
This is a review for the cafe Caliza Nextdoor, not the restaurant. I visited twice and had the brewed coffee and oat milk latte. Their brewed coffee is acidic and the latte did not have strong coffee flavor. It's the light Oaxacan type coffee which is watered down to me. Plenty of other better cafes within the two blocks for a morning or afternoon office caffeine fix.

Yelp
Wow wow wow from the food to the cocktails. Couldn't have had a better experience down in Tribeca. Highly recommended and will definitely be back all summer long!

Yelp
Authenticity in this "Mexican food"? No. This is not Mexican owned and the food is bland. Drinks were okay but if you want REAL Mexican food go elsewhere but don't go here.

Yelp
Wish I could tell you how the food was but the service was so bad after sitting there for about 25 min thinking we were waiting for some guacamole that never came. We asked the waiter, it was like he had no clue that we were sitting in this half empty restaurant waiting for their overpriced guacamole that we ordered from him 20 min earlier, so we just upped and left.

Yelp
Food was very flavorful. Everything we ordered including the Guac, ceviche, bunch of different tacos were amazing. Food was super flavorful. Went back the next day for brunch and also very impressed with what we ordered.

Yelp
Wanted to order guac to go. Walked in couldn't find anyone to help me so asked the bar tender who wasn't happy about it. Very small portion of guac for $19. Bucks and 3 round tortilla chips. Was not was not a fan of the taste either. For that price there should be a bit more then a dollop of guac . Also, the to go container was at-least four times the size of the amount of guac which made the portion look even smaller than it was. I'm sure I will go back to give it another chance but if the portion of what I order is once again so much smaller then the container I'm done. Of course the food better taste good too. The guac did not.

Yelp
Really small portion sizes- you will unfortunately arrive hungry and leave hungry. The guac comes with three small wafers- and you are charged a dollar for each additional chip you request. The staff is really kind, however. The restaurant just needs to adjust their portion sizes.

Yelp
New spot in Tribeca that looked cute. Went to try it despite hearing some bad reviews. All in all it wasn't anything that stood out. The drinks were fine but the food was bland. I am rating so low because my boyfriend and I ordered the ribs to share. It came out undercooked. I couldn't eat it seeing how undercooked it was but my boyfriend ate some. 7 hours later he is throwing up all night long (food poisoning).

Yelp
I've ordered food here a couple of times now. I've tried the quesadilla, torta, salad, breakfast burrito and grain bowl. I really wanted to like this place as I love Mexican food, but the food for most part is bland, disappointing and overpriced. It's a shame as the area really needed a fast casual lunch alternative for the neighborhood.

Yelp
We went for an early dinner tonight, excited to try the new restaurant. We started with the guacamole - which was excellent! Unfortunately the rest of the meal was downhill. The branzino lacked flavor and could have used a sauce on the side, same with the octopus, though better than the branzino. Both served with tortillas, and nothing else - so they were dry and lacked in flavor - definitely should be served with some sauces or something. The recommended tlayuda was truly bad. Very disappointing after such amazing guacamole. Will stick with Fonda or casa Carmen or Los Tacos no 1.

Yelp
Very disappointing. New restaurant so might be working out kinks. Food decent but overpriced and service pretty poor. Hope they are able to get it together

Yelp
Place was awesome. I've been living in the area for 12 years and we have needed more approachable restaurants. Can't wait until the deck opens up as it gets warmer. The cocktails were great and there is a huge list of agaves. The vibe is upscale without being fine dining and loved all the food we ate. Highlights were the aguachile, Tlayuda de cecina and the lamb ribs were highlights.
